This lovely chocolate shop in Burnham a small village in South Bucks , is definitely a jewel, competing very youth ,with a varied selection of children sweets. He also has a selection of drinks, among them, Persian tea, Turkish coffee & in the summer months, ice cream which is organic ,& comes from Hitchin farm

We visit this shop on a weekly basis for their deliscious chocolates and hot drinks. The shop owners are delightful and helpful company. The selection of chocolates and old fashioned sweets is great and this shop is visited and valued by many in the local community. I can only assume that the reviewer who gave a 1 rating reviewed the wrong shop and I think their review should be removed as it is totally untrue

I regularly visit this shop and travel all the way from Newbury. The chocolates are delicious and the service is exemplary. I occasionally participate in "Wellness Wednesdays" which are discussions about our wellbeing. The comment from "Tourist..." is obviously an untrue and vindictive review from someone who doesn't even want to identify themselves. My suggestion is to visit this unique and beautiful shop for yourself and you decide.

I cannot match the other reviews and what we found. The shop was very dark, expensive chocolates and tiny stocks of a limited range. Our chocolate was "wet" and had white spots. The place wasn't very clean. Not sure if the elderly man owned or just worked in the shop. He said the chocolates were like that as they contained no preservatives, but to us they tasted funny. We will not be back.

And it takes forever to make two simple cups of coffee. Feels like more of a hobby than a commercial going concern, but is as a consequence charming.

The chocolates and drinks are already well known and loved, but. Now they have the new range of quality ice cream from local Hitcham farm in a range of delicious flavours. The cornets themselves without the ice cream are delicious! As the weather warms up, don't miss this extra treat. They now even have a notice board for local charities, and host and support events and so they deserve all the customer support they get.

A MOST welcome local store when it first opened, and has gone from strength to strength since. Added a new and 'exciting' shop to the norm we have on the high street, and the warmth of the welcome and personal touch you receive when you visit is always second to none. Always immaculately turned out, and always making me feel I'm in a quaint village or somewhere you'd expect a shop like this (i.e. Marlow/Henley locally) ...it's therefore somewhere I'd stress ALL locals to support if we want to keep this brilliant store, offering something a bit different and special to the high street GO NOW! :)

From the Turkish coffee made and served in the traditional way to the excellence of the Belgian Chocolates on sale, this treasure of a shop/cafe is a rare find. Whether you just want to pop in for a drink or whether you want a special gift you will be made to feel very welcome and treated as an individual. Service is beyond compare.

An amazing little shop/cafe, with a great selection of chocolates, and sweets you remember from childhood. The hot chocolate is the best I have ever tasted, lovely and thick and rich, and the Persian tea is not something I would usually order but I have been converted. The chocolates range from luxurious chocolate truffles to more unusual flavours like balsamic vinegar, which is surprisingly fruity tasting. I love the fact that you can choose which box you would like and then select exactly which chocolates will be included in it, no leftovers at the end that nobody likes. The chocolates are then artfully arranged within the box and tied with a beautiful ribbon, which can be varied according to the occasion the box is a present for. The owners are incredibly welcoming and couldn't do more to make sure you enjoy your visit. This time of year especially it's lovely to snuggle up in one of the armchairs beside the fire with a cup of hot chocolate and watch the world go by.

A visit to May's Chocolate House is always an experience, whether you are shopping for presents of exotic chocolates, for some of their range of old fashioned sweets and candies or visiting for a chat and a cup of their hot chocolate which is becoming legendary. They also serve coffee, including Turkish or Persian tea. They are great supporters of charitable activities in the village and the use of the shop is much more than just retail. The chocolates are not cheap, but if you are prepared to pay for real quality, this is the place to go.

Ordered a takeaway this evening. I had the Pad Thai “Jumbo Prawns” at £19. I had four VERY small prawns which would have been small for a prawn cocktail! Very disappointing and will not order from there again. £19 for Jumbo prawns that didn’t exist!

Xmas Day lunch, the food was excellent and succulent and staff so attentive. One of group has a food allergy and chef sorted specific sauces, while team and manager ensured everything went smoothly. Well done all.

Staff were great, and we had a great evening. Sadly, the food was not as good as I had hoped. Carbonara was very watery and not a lot of it. Tiramasu seemed like something bought, frozen then thawed to serve.
