McDonald's Birmingham Fort in Birmingham

We visited this McDonalds at lunch time on Tuesday and I needed to leave a review because it was honestly the best McDonalds I’ve ever been to (I appreciate I sound ott but it was). It was very clean and well organised, our custom orders were ready within minutes and were all fresh and their milkshakes lasted ages. We ate inside and I was still drinking the milkshake when I got to the car lol. No idea how they’ve made it so dense but it was very appreciated. Thanks

Got my order wrong. Had it to take away asked for no cheese . Got home said no cheese on box but still had cheese on it to far to take it back so no burger for me.

5th November 2024, the absolute worst customer service I have ever received, from staff of all the McDonald's branches I've been to over the years. He was a staff trainer, who clearly wasn't having a good day. I purchased a hot chocolate at 17:00. I usually check my food and drink before leaving, however, I was in a rush to make an appointment for 17:10. Upon reaching my destination, I proceeded to open the cup to add milk and sugar. There was no foam on top and just looked like coloured water. I tasted it anyway, which confirmed that. I was unable to take it back straightaway so had to wait one hour for my appointment to finish. I returned to the Fort branch and was communicating with the staff trainer. He asked what time I purchased it. I informed him and then explained my reason for not bringing it back sooner, to which he replied, "of course its going to be weak if it's been left for over an hour". Ahhh, 'perhaps he misheard me' I thought and I explained the situation again. He kept going on about the time difference from me purchasing the drink and returning it, like a scratched record. He then went off to make another and was still going on about it, like it was a huge issue. Whilst making the drink, another customer (unknown to myself), commented on the last time he purchased a hot drink and how it tasted bad. That definitely added fuel to the fire. The staff trainer returned with my hot chocolate and so I decided to check it before leaving. It looked and smelt lovely, however, upon closer inspection, there was a small piece of material on the throth. I picked it out and asked what it was. He said it was from the chocolate syrup. I wiped it on a napkin and told him it was plastic. Then he said it was from me pressing the lid down which I'd actually taken off, as soon as my drink arrived. I made him aware that the plastic was in fact solid and not the same material. Bearing in mind, I'm saying all of this in a calm manner. Well, this situation got heated really fast. He became so irrate and his behaviour very challenging. I suggested that he should calm down. He is dealing with the general public after all and causing an unnecessary scene. The staff trainer started going off on one: don't tell me what to do; you don't pay me; I don't work for you. I got so annoyed by his behaviour that I, dissappointingly, began matching his energy. Which he then had the nerve to suggest that it was me with the attitude from the very start! A true narcissist at play here. The gaslighting was unbelievable. I was with my 6 year old too, who I make a point never ever to argue in front of. This would have gone so differently had I been a male, as I know that particular culture has far less respect for women! Anyway, I never demanded the drink be changed. Just wanted to know where the foreign object came from. He took it away, still giving attitude and then walked over to a colleague that was making burgers and whispered in his ear. That colleague came over and asked what I wanted, to which I replied "a hot chocolate without plastic in it please". He went to the 'out of sight' drinks machine, probably returning with the same drink and preceeded to slam it on the counter. I said thanks for the hot chocolate and threw it away. Who knows what they did to it? So now, here I am leaving a review. Won't ever return there. I've got to lose weight anyway. A conflict reslution course for staff would be ideal. Situations like this can be de-escalated, professionally and in a timely manner so not to cause distress or an uncomfortable atmosphere for paying customers.

Disgusting, rank over priced mcmush. Ordered double cheese burger and McRib. Didn't hear the order properly at the order point and completely left off the McRib. In fairness, wish they did, because what I got was a piece of cardboard like meat on two stale buns. A disgrace of a meal. I am sure the burgers are shrinking too, looked like one of those sliders. Fries were cold and in edible. 1 OUT OF 10. NASTY NASTY NASTY. Gave it a 1 not zero because milk shake was ok.

Always quick service and food is always hot. Never use any of the many closer to home as this is the best. Nice

Was here for a quick breakfast on way home. Chunk of McMuffin I received was missing. Quality control seems to be an issue here. Cleanliness is average McD standard - expect need to dust off the seats unless you want to sit on crumbs.

The staff in this McDonald's are terrible 😑 every time I've ordered from there, always something wrong with the order. Somethings always broken when you try and get milkshakes etc. Order a large fries, end up with a small. I hate my job too but come on mate 😑 it told you what to do on the box...

It has been the best MC D's that we have gone to in a while We sat it car & ate the food as we were all shocked the food was Hot . Wheelchair & Pushchair friendly all on Ground floor also a indoor play area for the kids . Parking was a bit small too many Uber drivers but the car park is on a tilt 5stars ✨ for food

Ordered food to be delivered to table, waited 15min, asked about status, was asked to wait. Then 10 min later enquired once again to find out they didn’t have my order. Had to show the evidence from the app that I did place an order. Initially wanted to give 2 stars, but updated to 3 stars because they fixed and apologised

Very moody person was taking the orders in the very early morning. And to that person, a kind reminder. if you’re not happy with what you are doing, there’s a queue of others who would take your job immediately, so instead of being rude for no reason, just do the job you’re being paid for :) and if working with people isn’t for you - just resign. Nobody wants to be treated as I was in the morning :) especially that I’m spending there my money!

McDonald's has really shot themselves in the foot really, the new way they run can not cope with fast food standards, incredibly slow! Bring back the old style production, where you can walk in and literally order a big Mac in seconds! None of this "made fresh" bullcrap! Waiting 20 minutes for two double cheeseburgers is a joke! Doesn't matter how busy it is, shouldn't be waiting that long! And this isn't just this location of McDonald's, they are all the same, slow.. overpriced.. you might Aswell go wetherspoons to get yourself a beer and burger for less then a big Mac meal now!

We didn’t go inside and just used the drive thru. The staff are friendly and service is quick as usual!

Food was terrible all cold and the drinks were put with hot food and the drinks were warm. DO NOT GO TO THIS MCDONALDS

The atmosphere is pleasant. We ate wraps, which had chicken that was a little dry and just few vegetables. The fried potatoes were not salty at all. I recommend asking the staff for salt.

Food was very cold, especially the fries. My burger was cold and there was no lettuce or pickles, just bun chicken and a little bit of sauce.

Food is always hot & fresh. Not really happy with the service. Forgot the straws and spilt all the drink on the food bag.

Went through drive thru yesterday , the girl handing the food drops my bag of food out of her hand to the floor and then tuts and walks off. As I wait there for her to come back and tell her I want a replacement of my food as she did not even bother to apologise, she gave a sly look so I said I’ll just have the refund back instead she proceeded to say “I can’t give you refund” what the heck ?

Popped in the morning for a quick bacon bap, lovely as always, we used the self service machine went and sat down and within a minute or 2 our food arrived, the staff were all polite and friendly and the food was lovely

Ordered food, orders happy meal no toy food come cold, my chips were all in the bottom of the bag my burger was sideways in the bag no straw or dips that I asked for fuming most vile maccis there is will not from there again such a disappointment what a let down

The staff at this branch have ZERO common sense/diligence/decorum. Watching not one, but ALL of the staff slump around, walk at a snails pace, with not one bit of urgency in the world. Packing burgers into bags and leaving on the side whilst they wait for remaining items is not acceptable. I asked a member of staff why he had packaged my McPlant and left it on the side instead of leaving it under the hot lamp whilst he waits for the rest of the order. To which he replied, ‘If you don’t like it, come round and help out’. Surely staff at McDonalds should have manners, customer service knowledge, a good appearance/hygiene standard and a clear understanding that food left of the side gets cold?

My recent McDonald's takeaway left me underwhelmed. While the size of the fries was hard to gauge without a standard reference, the milkshake's shortfall was apparent. Despite the cup being pre-marked for 0.25L, it was only filled to about two-thirds capacity, falling short of expectations. Such inconsistencies in portion sizes detract from the overall dining experience at McDonald's.

We called in en route to airport. We were 30 minutes ahead of schedule. There were no other customers but we had to wait 20 minutes for our food. Won't be doing that again.😱

The food arrived cold not to mention not even what I ordered there was no dips they sent the wrong burger the wrong size fries forgot the cheesy garlic bites forgot the straw and it was cold. When I called the worker told me they couldn’t do anything no refund no picking up the order and exchanging it for the write one I am fuming. This is terrible service how can you not do anything over something completely your fault? I paid almost £20 and got under the amounts worth and quality of what I ordered.

Me and my partner are Muslim we ordered two chicken wraps without bacon when it got delivered the sticker seal even stated no bacon on both wraps when we started eating them, they looked okay. Got to halfway through and there was bacon in both wraps. We was both mortified. I contacted Uber Eats and McDonald’s itself and because I didn’t have a picture I just threw it away. They disregarded me. I will never order from this McDonald’s ever again

The Star City,Aston Mcdonalds 20-44pm 18/03.. Rude rude rude.!!! The man on the checkout/speaker was quite polite. The payment taker I'm assuming was the same guy,was again polite. But then at the serving hatch,a different guy practically threw the food at us and I thanked him but he literally sneered in disgust .He went to fetch drinks. He then returned and I asked for 2 sauces..He shouted rudely that there was a sign,why didn't we follow the orders.? I explained we hadn't noticed a sign on which he then replied "well remember next time" very abrupt and stormed off. This is going to their head office as he shouldn't be front of house if he obviously hates what he does. That said, them bloody cheese jalapeño bites are amazing. A shame we had to encounter him first. 21.11.22. THE FORT ,ERDINGTON. Ordered 3 Bacon and Egg McMuffins meals. Got home.. Just 2 in the bag yet 3 hash browns and 3 drinks.. Not the first time either. Mcdonalds needs to test mathematics at the interview stage. I really should check the bag from now on . YET AGAIN..POOR POOR SERVICE. Ordered 5 items,so taxing fir their brain to work out.3 fries,1 big mac and a wrap meal.. Delivery was late and I asked to check items.. A wrap missing. Shrugged his shoulders saying call the restaurant and drove off. Never again.

Open 24hrs...so went here because local Mc D only had drive thru open (10pm so inside closed). Staff were friendly enough, fries were cold when I got home.

Ordered on the app and expected everything in my order to be in the paper bag they gave me when at the click and serve but they missed 1 item off my order. Called up after i left as this is when i realised something was missing and they offered me a free meal, that's great but it still means I'm down by a mayo chicken (£1.29). I was in a load of traffic and was not bothered to go all the way back to mcdonalds and through that traffic again for a mayo chicken. So that free meal is really a free 2/3 meal seeming as I haven't got that burger and I'm having to pay a bit off that meal with the burger I've lost out on. Not happy at all.

Went through drive through and ordered bbq quarter pounder meal and a mc spicy meal and they gave me the wrong order. They gave me 20 chicken nuggets, mc spicy and a chicken mayo. staff need proper training and get people orders correct before they give it to you. Mc Donald's is more like mc surprise never know what order your gonna get.

Best maccies I've had in a while...went through drive thru and ate in carpark. Hot crispy fries....hot burger- perfectly cooked. And nice coke with ice.

The amount of times that we have ordered through the app and items have been missing upon receiving our order is a joke! I have driven home to find items missing for the last time, so I recently drove back and wasted petrol just to let them know about this regularly occurring “mistake” and also to get my damn apple pie. It’s a good thing that the woman I spoke to was empathetic and apologised. If it’s not this then the food is often luke warm which is also unacceptable. Sort it out!
