I’ve been here before and the pies are nice. Vibe not so much..Honestly the attitude of the proprietor could do with some work.

Interesting place. Seems like a neighbourhood gem but also kinda rough. Had a nice coffee and filo pastry. It place has sort of charming yet grimy vibe.

Had the worst experience ever, he charged 20% more on a credit card because I didn’t have any cash saying “it’s a bank fee”, was very rude in general and basically kicked me out when I sat down to eat, the experience was so bad that it gave me the urge to write my first review ever

Truly good greek food, healthy and tasty, homemade

The chicken curry is incredibly good!!!! And plentiful The gentleman is friendly and all the Greek food I have tried is made with a lot of love!!! Incredible address at a low price I recommend +++++

Very rude man. I had a tea and wanted to seat , he said that table was reserved , then i sat the one behind that table. Later on a group of people came and asked it that table is reserved , he then said i have reserved it for you… He did it in front of me and i felt really bad.

Used to love this place but something has happened to it since last year. The place is dirty and unkempt and the owner seems to have lost all interest in the place. There were boxes of food all over the floor, dirty tables and general mess everywhere. We had coffee and something to eat but the food was stale. I asked for 2 glasses of tap water and was treated to a long monologue from the owner about how much his costs have gone up and how expensive his water bill was! We were the only people there apart from the owner, who was sitting at a table and appeared to be doing paperwork, only going behind the counter to serve us. Another person came in, had a look at the mess everywhere and left. We should have done the same as the food was inedible. I am sure it will not pass it’s next hygiene inspection.

The owner was so rude and dishonest. He told me that the chocolate bar is 2.80£ and when I told him that I wanted to pay by card, he charged me 3.30£ and he made a comment about "us rich people who don't carry cash". Unbelievably rude.

Dishonest man and owner, the price of an americano is £2.20, he charged £3 and when asked why it’s more than the price written on his board, he said it was the surcharge of paying with a card which honest shop owners will always mention before you pay. It’s also a really unclean restaurant.

One of the worst restaurants I've been. The owner was very weird. I went there with a friend of mine and firstly he was sarcastic when I asked if I can have meatballs served with some beans on the side instead of rice. My friend had chicken which was undercooked. A friend or regular came to the restaurant and he made unpolite gestures with the owner that we are stupid... Finally when we left I realized that I got overcharged on my card. Avoid

If you are greek, you will definitely appreciate the place. Read a few reviews about the owner, however, our experience was far from it. He was lovely with us and with other customers.

The most horrendous experience I have ever had. The unbelievably rude old man behind the til should never be allowed to serve customers. He told me I need to pay and leave 5 min after I explicitly asked him can I have my pastry and coffee there and he said Yes, of course. My coffee was still untouched (it was also pretty undrinkable) when he shouted that I can’t stay there for two hours and I finished my food already. I went to pay and he threw my bank card on me. Other clients were as shocked as I was and we all left. Horrible, rude, unpleasant man, hope he is taken our asap.DO NOT SHOP THERE! I was left shaken!

Such a characterful deli to drop into for cappuccino and a delicious slice of spinach pie (which I think is properly called spanakopita). We've had takeaway previously but decided to eat in -- a good idea just for the benefit of absorbing the atmosphere and taking in the literally eclectic foodstuffs on offer!

Miserable rude disrespectful man who owns the store

Randomly fell through the door of this place after a 10 mile run. What a blessing! Great food, amazing coffee, and a genuineness that is so very rare. The owner has a certain radiance; a direct decedent of Zorba, surely. In short, a jem of a place.

I was getting my hair done at the salon nearby and I asked my 11-year-old daughter and her best friend if they could go get me and her best friend's mum a coffee from a cafe. They chose this one and proceeded to order. They were the only ones in the shop except for the owner. They tried ordering two decaf coffees for us but the owner very rudely said no and asked how old they were. My daughter has anxiety and struggles with uncomfortable social situations so this was very difficult for her. Her friend politely told him their age and he still rejected her order. Then he proceeded to ask more inappropriate questions like ‘What country do you come from’ etc. In turn, they answered very politely despite being uneasy. In the end, he refused service for any of the items (not just the coffee) and they left. We met them there earlier and witnessed this whole circumstance. They cried due to being very embarrassed and ashamed for something that wasn't even their fault. Terrible service. They are very young and they should not be subject to this sort of disgusting behaviour. Would never recommend this place. I have seen other reviews and know we are not the only ones with problems with the owner. The food looked unappetizing as well. Children are heavily affected by this type of situation and are traumatized. They cried for god's sake!

The owner was very rude to us. Had an issue with us writing a card at the table while drinking our coffee...and was complaining that we didn’t drink our coffee fast enough. Very odd behaviour and we will definitely not recommend nor come back. Food looked bad too but didn’t try it so can’t confirm.

This place has such a wonderful vibe! Had the beef lasagna, spinach and feta filo pie and maamoul - all great. The owner is friendly, the food is hearty, home cooked fare, the shop truly is eclectic and feels so welcoming. Recommended, would've tried everything on the menu if we didn't feel so full :(

Owner was incredibly rude to the 3 of us. who were initially very happy to be there but soon felt very uncomfortable as he kept moaning about where we were sitting. Not sure what we'd done to offend, but he seemed to be perfectly OK with all of the other customers that came in.... Really disappointed with the way we were treated. Created an unpleasant atmosphere that we really didn't deserve. Being nice means that people come back. We won't.

This is my go-to place when staying locally. Owner has always been charming to me. Greek salad the best I’ve ever had - including dozens of them in Greece; cheese pie and other pastries always delicious. Not cheap - but not do I expect that 2mins from the high street

Great vibe from the owner. Relaxed and calm. Enjoyed the food we loved the chicken escalopes which we order often now. Would definitely recommend for Greek food.

Was in a rush late afternoon, so bought some take away items: Greek Gigantes, Piseli, Spanahi etc, and took home to warm up; with fresh bread, was excellent. Well-seasoned food, made from fresh, quality ingredients.

wonderful Greek delicatessen run by an affable Arcadian gentleman. We bought a coffee and a slice of cheese pie and I would schlep back to west London just to buy those, and more of the great stuff on offer, again.

Lots of Greek sides and sweets but missing obvious Greek main dishes to eat ok. Eg sold Lasagne rather than Pastitsio. No hummus, fava, tarma either. Expensive, but arguably so for the area. Suited to the tourist or local affluent inhabitants of the area. Greeting was hit and miss for different customers, but overall not unfriendly. Some Greek products for sale, mainly foodstuffs.

This is one of our favorite spots in London. Pan uses fresh, high quality ingredients and he cooks with love. The Greek salad is so yummy and we can’t wait to try everything on the menu.

Great people, many Greek products to buy and tasty food.

We met my nephew here for a quick coffee. There were 4 of us and we ordered 4 drinks . There was another table also occupied . After 30 minutes the owner became very rude and hostile and said we needed to leave as we were not having any food . We said we would leave when we finished our drinks and didn’t understand what the issue was as no one else had come in wanting a table and the other table was also doing the same as us . He then asked the waitress if we had paid for our drinks which we had . We finished our drinks and got up to leave as the constant rude comments was very off putting . The owner said we were not welcome back in the future ! The other table was still sat there with theri drinjs when we left . The different between us and the other table ? 2 of us are Asian . The only assumption I can make from the dreadful behavior from the owner was racial discrimination . Shameful

Overpriced food and coffee. Owner denied to add sugar to our coffee as he said it will lose the taste. Don’t think will visit again.

I shall add pics of this lovely gem of a space when occasion comes around. Proprietor and son wonderful company and food incredible. Had a spinach and feta pastry. Coffee hits the spot. Homely and with a London feel.

I used to love to go here pre pandemic. I visited again a few weeks ago. It was such a big disappointment. The owner was so unfriendly it was unbelievable. Started to question our choice of food in a very unpleasant way. 2 stars only because the food we had was good. I won’t be back.

The owner is bad tempered & very rude! I think the food looks good & it may be, we just had coffee & cake. The owner doesn’t clear the table but let’s you sit with other people’s dirty plates on the table, he serves the coffee in paper cups even though he has china cups. No table service you have to get it from the counter. The place is dirty there was old food on the floor. Try somewhere else there are plenty of good cafes nearby.

When I was in Greece for a holiday, my friends and I went to this small bakery to have their baklava every day. Since I got back to London, I’ve not found baklava as good as the one I tried. I happened to pass by this cafe in Kensington and wanted a coffee. Tried their baklava and oh my god, it’s the same exact taste. I highly recommend you eat here. Furthermore, I feel as if ever since the pandemic hit, we need to support smaller businesses. If you’re not going to come here for anything else, do come for the pistachio baklava! The man working there was very very friendly too

Stopped by this shop for a coffee break yesterday whilst sight seeing in London . I assume from the other review we were also served by the owner of the shop , we ordered 2 de caff cappuccino & a hot chocolate he got the order slightly wrong and added an extra coffee to the order we politely explained we only ordered 3 drinks well this guy was so aggressive started shouting slamming things on the counter this happened in front of another customer with a young child , this man needs a course on customer service , as we left the store he shouted go back to Ireland, disgusting behaviour I would not recommend this shop to anyone …

This is without a doubt London’s best spot for truly authentic Greek home cooked dishes. Don't miss the fava, pastitsio, meatballs and orange cake. Eat in for some unbeatable banter from the owner, who has commandeered a table as his office

Unfortunately, the food was overpriced and not at all fresh.

No idea how you can call it Spanakopita Literally no cheese /spinach. Just a thick layer of pastry. Maximising on profit and it’s not cheap. Over £4.5 for a piece. Won’t go there again

Great homemade food and friendly staff!

Lovely Greek grocery and deli shop serving all things Greek and Mediterranean. You can get everything from olive oils, feta and halloumi, vegetables to homemade tzatziki, bougatsa, baklava and spanakopita. The owners are very friendly too

Absolutely delicious, authentic Greek food. Well priced and generous portions. Sweet and sassy Greek owner. I would travel to London from the U.S. weekly and make a point to stop in there for my return inflight meal.

Really delicious Greek food, served by Greeks in a Greek atmosphere! To quote one of the owners: "There is no rush, lady - we are on Greek time in here". So far everything I have bought (salads, chicken dishes, stuffed aubergines, etc.) has been full of flavour and excellently cooked. My only advice is to **check the price of every item before buying** - never assume a food item is being included as part of the 'main meal' price - it may be charged as a side-dish instead. Ask first if it's included in the price or will be an extra cost, and you'll be fine.

So I went to shop on a busy Saturday and bought two items that came to around £14. I left the shop and only realised that the woman serving me forgot to hand me the food that I’d just paid for, I went back but they were closed. The next day I sent my husband in and the man became so angry and aggressive, my husband called me and put him on the phone where I politely explained that the woman who served me forgot to hand me my goods, he started screaming down the phone, telling me it’s not here, I asked him to enquire with the woman but he just became so aggressive and told me that I’d insulted him ! Never experienced anything like this in any store especially when it’s part of your community. I will never shop there again, neither my friends or family. What if it was an elderly person, I could have spent much more and I’m sure he would have behaved the same.Anger is not the way to go Mr Menoo, perhaps you might like to take a moment to polish up your customer service skills !

Their card machine didn’t work, and so my friend and I tried our cards five times. Still didn’t work, and so we ended up not getting anything. Little did we know we actually got charged five times!!!! Also, the man working there was a bit rude about the whole thing. Annoying.

Lovely greek restaurant found by chance right off Kensington High Street. Very welcoming vibe and the dishes look so delicious. I had the spinach pie plus the baklavas, and you cant go wrong with these, trust me! Can't wait to return there for a proper meal once the gov allow us to dine-in again.

Was passing by this place and couldn't help but go inside after looking at the big pieces of spinach pie and cheese pie they had on the window shelf! They are packed with delicious greek treats, from juicy ravani cake to savoury stuffed peppers! Service was great, will definitely be returning!

Fab home made food and Greek deli

the only place in london that you can actually taste proper Greek food and an excellent mediterranean cuisine overall. reasonable prices and LARGE portions! 5/5!

The couple who run this are the real deal, an independent atmospheric deli café with artichoke heart. I come every year because I haven't found anywhere else that gets in real Mediterranean vegetables and ingredients like what they serve. Local characters provide excellent people spotting to accompany your dish.

I have been here several times and it can be really hit or miss. Unfortunately, the food is lacking in quality and freshness. The food often tastes old. Sometimes I ask "what is fresh or made today" before I order and they always just respond saying, "everything" - but I know this isn't true. The prices are also quite high. It's not nice to pay £9.50 for moussaka that is 2 or 3 days old. I'm truly disappointed because I really want to support local family-run Greek restaurants. I hope the owners read this and make some changes. There is nothing better than Greek food made with fresh ingredients and traditional recipes!

Excellent food feel like home cooked.

Authentic Greek food which is overpriced and the homemade feta and spinach pie was not very fresh at all. Everything is heated up in the microwave. Although, the Greek salad was ok - the slice of feta cheese was too much and quite sickly. I tried one of the sweet pastries, it was so sweet - saturated in syrup. I felt sick after eating here. Even the lady behind the till pretended the Amex machine didn’t work, I wanted to benefit from the Shop small scheme as it’s a small local business. I give 2 stars because the cafe was clean and there was a large variety of dishes. Maybe I was just unlucky that day... I will definitely not return to this cafe!

A gem just off Kensington High Street. A journey of discovery across outstanding home made quality Greek food. Family run, attentive service, warm welcome. I just love sitting here for a delicious coffee and fresh croissant or honey-soaked baklava and pretending I am staying at the Greek grandparents I never had.

A greek-looking woman smiled warmly at us as we entered and ordered coffee. She fussed around insisting that we sit down while she brought us our orders. We shared some greek breakfast pastries stuffed with spinach and feta. A man brought fresh pastries up from the kitchen downstairs and filled the window display while we ate. We will return soon!

Great to support individual local places

This cosy cafe has a sensational selection of greek and mediterranean essentials and some fabulous treats as well. I'm vegan and enjoy all of their fabulous vegetables that are organic, cooked daily and truly delicious. The drinks are also of a high standard and I'm thrilled they are open at this time especially! A very friendly staff and nice atmosphere to enjoy a drink, a coffee or a meal.

A warm welcoming Greek atmosphere from the authentic Greek owners to the home cooked dishes, Greek music, breads and typical Greek sweet pastries. Occasionally I found items over priced. Overall the food is well cooked and flavoured to authentic Greek taste. The Feta and Spinach pies are a tasty midday lunch escape from the norm.

Lovely owner and welcoming premises make this cafe a pleasant stop off for a quick cup of tea or coffee and a bite to eat but unfortunately the prices are eye watering. Great food choices though and a huge selection of fresh and dried produce to take home. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area instead of the awful Costa and the like.

Such a delight to find this place. Just off the hustle and bustle of Kensington High Street is this independently run Greek cafe. So lovely to see the owners behind the counter and proud of their creations. Just popped in for a coffee and had a baklava, but there’s a huge selection of Greek dishes including Moussaka, and probably 20 other typically Greek options. Closest thing to being in Greece this side of London!

Very expensive for the food you get, food isn't bad but just not worth it. Staff friendly though.

We have a most pleasant morning having brunch here! The welcome was very warm and food both beautifully cooked and great value for money.

This small restaurant in Kensington High street it was for us a very pleasant surprise!!We wanted to avoid the boring hotel breakfasts that are overpriced..and we were in the search of something more authentic!Likely we noticed that petit restaurant and we felt like having breakfast in our own home's kitchen!!The owner mr Panagiotis is a gentle and pleasant man..!The rest of the days we stayed in London we were having our breakfast there!Definitely i will visit this place again,next time that i will be in the city!!

I love this place. Cute atmosphere that feels like home. Beautiful home cooked food and very friendly owners. The kind of place you want to hang out and read while eating your grandma’s home cooking. Also the baklava is amazing!

Very cosy family run restaurant. The food has that authentic home cooked flavour and decent portions. Only downside is that it’s a bit on the expensive side and I think it has gotten more expensive in the last couple of months.

We stopped for lunch before a visit to Kensington Palace. Really pleasant, simple lunch. Made to feel very welcome and a shame we were only stopping for a light lunch as the desserts looked lovely.

Today visited Menoo for the first time with my husband. Really good coffee and pastries! Had the hazelnut cake with chocolate, also yummy spanakopita. Will coming back to try the rest of the menu.

En busca de una comida rápida, saludable y sabrosa antes de una visita al Palacio de Kensington, literalmente me enamoré de este adorable y auténtico café griego. La comida es fresca y todo se ve delicioso. Comí un pimiento relleno y una ensalada griega acompañada de un vino blanco griego ligero y seco. El servicio es muy amigable y la cafetería parece tener un seguimiento regular y leal de la comunidad griega. Estaba triste por tener que irme tan rápido. Volveré y lo recomiendo de todo corazón. En cuanto a todos los comentarios sobre el precio, teniendo en cuenta su ubicación entre Kensington High Street y el palacio, los precios parecen insignificantes para Londres.
