Had a Fabulous Night in here on Friday.. 14 of us in for a Celebration, the Food and the Service was great considering how many of us there were.. Massive Bonus is that you can take your own drink in. 🍺🍺🍺 Thank You 👏👏

Food is excellent. Sitting in miahs is cramped and atmosphere is great. But delivery service is terrible, last 3 deliveries food cold.

What a disappointment!! Food tasteless, bland and lamb chewy. We tried to bring taste by adding salt but wouldn’t help. All will go int bin. Presentation poor, food had spilled as you can see!! Never agin and money wasted!!

The food here is amazing and so is the service. We ordered and one of our items weren’t quite right. Made a quick call and it was sorted out straight away. Food is always delicious and hot.

Unbelievable food quality and quantity. Chicken naga is very flavourful with the kick of heat a perfect combination. A lovely sauce to dip nan and poppadoms into. Great value for money staff are lovely people

Takeaway order. Prompt delivery. Chicken pakora was not to my taste but the mixed meat rogan josh was THE BEST curry that i have ever tasted. (And i have eaten a lot of curries!!).

This is a review of the take away service. I've 4 or 5 in the last 6 months. The food is usually top notch. Curry and rice has always been beautiful, but I had a weird dry nan once, sort of crumbly. A very minor issue. Unfortunately I've scored on the take away service which is inconsistent. In the last few months I've had three items missing. The first time was rice, a major part of the meal so I had to wait for the delivery person to come again. . I hope they got paid! Second time was a nan which was refunded via Just Eat. Last night the puri part of a starter was missing. We just did without, but it is disappointing. EDIT: Had another take away. All the food was great except for my main. It was so salty it was almost inedible. So, potentially one of the better Indian take aways, but so inconsistent, sorry.

Have not been here for quite a while and what a disappointment. I had a lamb chilli masalla and the lamb was so chewy it was impossible to eat, I couldn't bite through it. Left the Lamb and mopped the equally underwhelming sauce up with the naan bread which was undercooked and had to be finished in the air fryer at home. Such a disappointment as we have always loved the food here takeaway and restaurant in the past and I only hope this is just a blip.

Food delivered freezing cold again Use an insulated bag it’s not that hard is it

The food is outstanding and very fresh and tasty. The surroundings are intimate and cosy. The service was excellent. A wide choice of dishes and you can bring your own alcohol. Recommend the Chicken Ceylon and house special pilau rice and garlic naan.

Very disappointed. The food was bland and the meat tough / dry. We were the only people in the place, and I can see why.

Went here for an evening meal and was not disappointed, upon arrival we were greeted at the front desk and given menu's to look at. I asked one of the waiters to recommend something along the lines of the Rogan I always get. He pointed out a couple of dishes of which the one I got was excellent and just the tastes I like. Starters were plentyfull and very tasty. There is no alcohol here but you just take your own and help yourself. Would definitely go again, very tasty and good value also

Great little gem. Visited this place while in Newcastle and what an amazing find, great food and great service.. they really went above and beyond for me and my wife. I Loved the Satkora Lamb, it really reminded me of home cooked food. I would definitely recommend. Thank you Miah Restaurant 😊

Had meal delivered on Friday 17 February. Food was delicious but heavy items on top of lamb Madras had caused sauce to leak all over the rest of the bag, big clean up job before serving

Went for a meal with friends. I struggle with some spicy foods, however, this was no problem at Miah and the staff were happy to make me a really mild dish, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Would definitely recommend!

Ordered food at 1945, assured delivery would be 2045. Enquired after it's delivery at 2115 to be told it would be a further 5 mins. Received a phonecall at 2130 to tell me it had not even been cooked yet. Then to be told I would receive a refund within 21 days. Incredibly poor. Avoid at all costs, good food is no use unless you can eat it. This is not the first time I have had problems with delivery times from this resteraunt.

Absolutely fabulous takeaway food provided by Miah yesterday for a small family evening meal. All six mains were wonderful ( 3 chicken, 2 veggie,1 lamb) accompanied by the freshest of popadoms, lovely assorted rice sides and 2 gorgeous nans. I cannot praise this food enough! Thank you Miah. We all really enjoyed your wonderful food. ( I have dined in Miah with a friend recently. Equally fabulous food)

This place was an excellent little restaurant which now looks like it survives on takeaways. Since it no longer has an alcohol licence, it feels like the soul has been sucked out of it.

Unbelievable yet again another wrong delivery. ordered one thing and got something else. Phoned and told them they said I could have a free meal and they managed to get that wrong. It's unreal I never know what I am getting every time I order . Mental. When i phoned they told me to go somewhere else !! We are too busy he says. The food is nice but I never get what I order. Its like some sort of joke. If Jeremy Beadle was doing jokes. . .

Really amazing food. I was in Newcastle for a few days and they were the only ones that were open a little late in the area for takeout. We got a lamb biryani, chicken in orange and some naan. Everything tasted really good and they were large enough portions for left overs. No pictures because it was takeout and it was late and we were really hungry. 😝

Normally cant fault my takeaway from here , but tonight left me a little disappointed, Curry lacked depth of flavour, chicken had an odd taste, naan bread was more like a crisp bread.

Takeaway from Miah last week, got the banquet special as usual. Quality and quantity is unbeatable in my opinion. One of the best Indian restaurants I've bought from.

HAD a take away tonite was suppost to be a madrass the carton was half full tasted just like curry sauce will not be going back there!!!!!!!

Second visit (just to be sure) and the food was as impressive this time around as it was the first. Thankfully we live literally 30 seconds away so will be back again and again with the proviso that the food remains this good.

Food ok but only 1 person serving although it was not busy. No card machine so had to find cash point to pay, but no notice up to say you need cash. Would not visit again

This latest addition to the oriental food fayre on offer in this area is a welcome delight. A tasteful transformation of an old pub the Miah is a Chinese restaurant and take-away par excellence.

Absolutely beautiful food, a lovely peaceful restaurant, no rush to finish up, nice and relaxing, we will definitely be returning !

Great food and service. You have to try out this place, one of the best restraunts / take away in Newcastle. A small seating area that therefore guarantees good personal service. You need to park on street, but that's no usually an issue.

The food was lovely and service spot on would definitely recommend you give this little gem of a restaurant a try!!

After finding this Excellent Takeaway 3 years ago, I've never needed to go anywhere else. I couldn't recommend it any more. Food is always of the highest standard, Staff are super friendly and prices are excellent!
