Miller & Carter in Barnet

We attended the restaurant for a birthday celebration with 15 of us. Unfortunately this was not a positive experience. Steaks were served barely warm. Instead of sautéed greens these were in fact microwaved. The fish served was great so that’s a positive. Obviously the alcohol was great Service was great ok and our concerns were dealt with properly. Furniture is tired. It’s a shame as they did get the fish right and not the steak. Being a steak house that charge £41 for a ribeye you would expect a little more care being taken with the product reaching the table in a good time and HOT. Muswell Hill branch is much more organised something borehamwood branch should aim for.

Vito was our server and was very attentive giving us a wonderful experience. My steak was cooked perfectly rare. Would recommend this m&c branch

Overall, the food was fantastic and certainly worth the price. However, there were a few areas where the service could be improved. For instance, we were seated indoors near the service area, even though there were other empty tables available. This made our experience a bit less comfortable. Additionally, while we appreciated the waiter’s attentiveness, we felt that the pace of taking our orders was a bit rushed, which affected our ability to fully enjoy our anniversary. With a few adjustments, this could be an even more enjoyable experience.

I love everything about this place. From the lighting to the music to the food and the services, this is one of my best dining experiences in the UK. Vito is the gentleman that attended to us. He was very patient and supportive in our choice of drinks, meal and desert. He knows his stuff. He’s a good conversationist with great sense of humor. He clearly loves his work and it shines in how he treated us. I came here with my brother. He also loved it here. I will be back here if I have a romantic date because it’s the perfect place to be.

Went for a meal as was close to our hotel, amazing staff took care of us all evening never had an empty drink, sat quickly and Mina was a delight all evening will be back next time I’m down south.

Had such a lovely meal from this branch, we came down from Scotland to get a new car and popped in on the way home. We were greeted by our server Vito who was very warm and welcoming he looked after us throughout our experience and made sure we were well looked after. Steak was cooked to perfection. We ate here tonight after recently getting married & the level of service, care & attention we were given by our server Maria and the other members of staff was truly next to none. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anybody sitting on the fence on deciding to visit, you truly won’t regret it.

Was out with family and had a great experience, the food was on point and the service was exceptional. We were initially served by Mina who took our drinks orders and brought them promptly to the table. There after by Victor who was our server for the rest of the evening, delivering great service and knowledge of the menus.

I chose this restaurant to celebrate my wife’s 40th birthday as she fancied a steak dinner, and the online reservation process was quick and straightforward—a promising start. We ordered three starters, but unfortunately, they were underwhelming. The scallops, in particular, were overcooked, bland, and lacked seasoning. These came with three salads and a side, which turned out to be a big disappointment. The salad was just chunks of unseparated lettuce with a sprinkle of Parmesan on top. It felt as though minimal effort was made, and I couldn’t help but wonder if the lettuce was even washed properly. As a grill chef myself, I have a good understanding of food preparation, and the steaks we ordered were poorly cooked. They were severely undercooked—practically raw and bleeding. When I pointed this out to the waiter, their response was lackluster, merely offering to recook the steaks. By then, we had lost our appetite and requested to have the food packed up, only to feed it to our dog later. For a restaurant of this caliber, I expected far better. My local pub delivers better food and service at a fraction of the price. This was a complete waste of money and a huge letdown for what should have been a special evening.

Nice food, good gluten free options, very helpful host and good value for money

came for a meal with my boyfriend and was served by the lovely Vito! I have a severe hit allergy which was fully accommodated to. Nothing was too much and we was always greeted with a smile throughout our whole meal. Thanks again for your amazing service Vito!

Unbelievable service from our waiter - Vito Steak cooked to perfection

We recently had a large celebration event for a wonderful group of dedicated and amazing foster carers, and chose miller and carter stirling corner for our event. We were a group of 35 and our experience was just truly magical. Nothing was too much trouble for the general manager, and the two gentlemen who served the group were attentive, friendly, and by some miracle, all of our food came out quickly and effortlessly. The food is always delicious especially the ribeye steak. Cocktails are also really good and not over priced. Staff very helpful, friendly and welcoming. This is my Go To for Steak and it never disappoints.

Very friendly staff, lovely restaurant with warm ambience. And absolutely lovely food. Please consider adding more choice to the dessert menu. Hot desserts like apple/pear crumble with custard, cakes and more tarts.

Vito was amazing. We had a big family dinner for 14 people and he was kind, patient and very accommodating - even to the toddlers which was so refreshing. If you go to Miller & Carter Borehamwood ask for Vito you’ll have the best experience!

Steak was cooked perfectly , chips and onion loaf were bit warm/cold. Lamb Rump was surprisingly very nice and tender. Excellent service from the staff who accomodated our needs. Will give it another try in the near future.

Really enjoyed my food today. The burger was delicious the service was excellent. The cocktail pina colada could have been so much better. All in all lovely thank you.

Very disappointed. First time the steak was overcooked, yet when I mentioned it to the waitress, she disagreed and sought out the manager. He came over and said that although he agreed it wasnt what I asked for (medium rare), it wasn't bad. He gave me the choice of amending the bill, or getting me another steak. I opted for the other steak. When it came over I cut into it and this time it was rarer than rare. He took one look at my face and said "still not satisfied?" I have never felt so embarrassed in a restaurant before! I did eat it but hated every mouthful. The fact that there were only two other tables with customers speaks volumes. I would expect a chef in a steak restaurant to know how to cook a steak, and I would never expect a manager to belittle me in front of my other guests. Never again!

Can't recommend enough, left happy as usual. Was here on a Monday and took advantage of their lunch menus. Excellent choice, great service, would definitely come back again! A big thank you!

The lunch menu was great value and the food was served quite quickly after ordering and was done just as asked. The steak was lovely. Drinks were also good quality and reasonably priced. Our waiter was a very nice friendly man and we felt paid attention without being intrusive. No complaints at all.

Chip portions are too small. The food is tasty but should be larger portions considering the prices.

Really BAD! Food good but £99 bill . the service not up to scratch i’m afraid. Wrong drinks with lengthy wait for them. Rushed to order. Rushed to finish drinks. Couldn’t wait for us to leave . In fact they were locking doors as we stepped outside @ 9.50pm. Won’t go again!!!!

Right by the A1, it’s a great choice for a post-golf treat. The restaurant is spacious yet not too crowded, with easy parking and a decent atmosphere. The steaks are good, worth trying if you’re in the area and looking for a satisfying meal.

Incredible service from start to finish! Our waiter Vito was exceptional, very polite and funny, he made me and my wife feel very comfortable. The steak I had was amazing (12oz Sirloin… 100% recommend) and the perfect combination of sauces recommended by our waiter. Will definately be back again without a doubt!
