Miller & Carter Middlewich in Cheshire East

Thank you to all the staff at the middlewich restaurant. You went above and beyond. Food was amazing as usual and the cocktails are delicious. You made our evening very special.

The place was nice… the food was nice but left me with niggling questions… We both had the sticky chicken for starters… my plate had 3 pieces and the Mrs had 6 pieces 🤣 we just chuckled… Put you in a diet the Mrs said… 🫢 it was okay but the difference in the portions was unbelievable and very strange… I had a 7oz ribeye steak 🥩 £5 supplement for my lavish tastebuds 🤔 Chunky chips another £1 supplement? 🤣 All very strange the supplements… why not just show the correct price?? Tomato 🍅 portion was an 1/8 of a whole tomato… 😕 Dessert was crème brûlée 🍮 was served in what looked like a saucepan 🤣 my serving was 1cm high 🤣 was supposed to be accompanied with “berries” I got 1 slice of strawberry 🍓… I had a baileys chocolate orange 🍊 cocktail with my dessert… the only problem was I don’t think 🤔 there was any baileys actually in the cocktail… just frothy milk with a dusting of chocolate powder as a garnish… 😕 The meal was presented well but there was very dubious points about the portions… A bottle of rose Zinfandel wine £26 🫢 I know places have got to make a profit and times are hard at the moment… But… We ate off the daytime saver menu… 3 courses for £32… In total the bill came in at £111… The food what there was of it was nice but left us underwhelmed by the points I’ve highlighted above 👆🏽 we didn’t complain…

Went to try the new Sunday sharing board and couldn't fault it. The welcome from the host was very warm and friendly and the exceptional service continued throughout our meal. The sharing board itself was amazing, the chicken was unbelievably moist and the lamb rump was cooked to perfection. We loved the smoky barbequed flavour on the steak and we both loved the camembert mash, despite neither of us liking camembert! The tiramasu was the best I've had from any restaurant and the lemon tart was perfectly balanced with sweet and tartness. Both desserts looked and tasted home made, which was great. Honestly couldn't fault the experience and would highly recommend.

Me and my partner went down for drinks, and whilst the cocktails were very good the manager Natalie was quite rude and unwelcoming

Came with a friend and had a great night. Shannon was a great waitress and all the staff were very welcoming, food was lovely.

Ellie was my server she was lovely and made my experience great !

Dined last night and what an amazing experience it was. The food was absolutely amazing and the service was brilliant. Our server Ellie was very attentive and definitely deserves a mention. Will definitely be back.

Sorry for long review Would give zero if I could visited today with my 8yr old special needs son on entry greet very pleasantly and seated promptly drink order taken sadly this was the last good customer service we had I had to call over different waiters and members of staff the whole time we were there waved over bar staff to ask could I order he went to get our waitress who he couldn't find so he came back to take order himself bless him he was not familiar with the iPad and really struggled next came the starter burnt garlic bread with nearly invisible cheese after waiting ages I then flagged another member of staff to ask could she check on our food as my son was getting flustered she never returned so asked another waitress who brought out our food my steak was ok more rare than medium but ate as was hungry my son ordered tomato pasta and meatballs well he wouldn't even try it the pasta was well overcooked and mushy, the meatballs were stale ,dry and overcooked no one ever came to ask how food was etc I then had to call someone else to order desserts this was the only course my son ate I ate part of mine at this point we got up to go pay the bill as nobody came around I asked the waitress as my son did not even touch his pasta could she alter down from a 3 course to a two course which I thought was fair she said she'd ask to which another member of staff came to tell me she'd have to ask someone else at this point my son was starting to get worked up with waiting i wasn't going to complain and advised the lady that I would just pay as the cost wasn't worth the being passed from one person to another I informed her that the customer service was absolutely atrocious and they need some training as it's really letting them down I have ate at miller and carter for years and regular attend Crewe branch I have never had any issues I am usually not a person that complains but feel that people need to know what the service is like if your expecting miller & carter service do not goto middlewich I will not be returning unfortunately

We came for the Boxing Day set menu and we were not disappointed. Food was lovely and service was great.

Our first visit and it certainly won't be our last. Food was great, we had the Butchers Block.....the meat was cooked to perfection. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming.

Came out for a meal with my husband, all I can say is WOW. From the moment we walked in, the host on the door, welcomed us and customer service was 100% from the get go. Sat at the table and our waiter Carl was amazing, definitely knew his stuff. Sitting right by the kitchen, we got a glimpse into the heart of Miller and Carter. The long island iced tea was amazing, just the right amount of sourness. What an amazing experience. I can honestly say, we were amazed when we see on the table a donation card for a Christmas meal for the homeless. What an amazing thing to do. Will definitely be returning.

Been here on a few occasions for birthdays and anniversaries. It’s definitely worth a visit and the steak is exceptional. There were a few minor hiccups but they were easily corrected. Great vibe all round. Big thank you too Faith who was super helpful and polite, also too our server Carl who catered for all our needs and nothing was too much trouble 👍🏼👍🏼

The restaurant was beautifully decorated and very festive. A lover lady seated within minutes of us arriving. She was very polite, friendly and welcoming. She took our drinks order and another server (Carl) came to take our order. The starters were amazing. We did have to wait along time for our mains, but they were waiting for. All the servers came over to us to ask if everything was okay. It was our first time dining in a Miller & Carter Steakhouse. It didn’t disappoint at all. The food is perfect. I would like to say a huge thank you to our Server’s Natalie & Carl, who are a credit to there Team. We would say that Natalie definitely made our first experience a fantastic one.

Visited this site a few times and despite a few hiccups throughout our experience, our servers faith and Carl were efficient in sorting out the little issues. The steak was absolutely lovely and servers were outstanding on all accounts with their positive attitudes. Special shout out to all the staff that sang happy birthday.

Fab staff xx Charlie was great serving us tonight! Such a lovely lad. Our Sunday sharers were great (the lamb was fatty but they rectified so well) and the desserts fab and the best thing was the cocktails - my fave every time is the Tommy Margarita! A fab addition to Middlewich x

Charlie was the best person at this establishment and made it all worth it. Food was divine but those cocktails saved me from seasonal depression. Truly Charlie is a god among men and I hope everyone gets the luxury of experiencing something made by Charlie.

Not knocking the quality of the food despite being on the expensive side as was very good. But have to knock points off for delivery as items missed from my very very simple order !!! Seriously not good enough at these prices.

Mirka was our server for the night, she was lovely and helpful with my nans egg allergy. She was very attentive of our table, food was amazing. Would most definitely visit again, Mirka’s customer service was amazing !

Midweek birthday dinner. Bit of a wait on arrival as staff all busy. But once seated our server Mirka did an excellent job a true credit to the business. The food was good and arrived promptly. Mirka's knowledge and advice on the steaks available was spot on.

It was alright. Chips were a little over salted and steak not the best I’ve had. I’m no food connoisseur but for the prices charged I was not overly impressed. Would I go again? Probably not. A good one off experience but I wouldn’t rave about it.

Absolutely disgusting service by the male manager when I told him my steak was too dry and tough and that I asked for a medium rare I was laughed at by himself and the the forign waiter and got told that it's the batch and too change the meat completely if I felt like that as it all comes from the same cow then I showed him clearly that the steak was medium well not medium rare I ended up not eating anything My wife had hers she was OK as she is pregnant I'm disgusted no apology was given but tried to justify himself by saying I was not laughing at you When I asked the forien waiter he put his finger up at me and said 1min mate Could he not say I am busy about serve another customer will be with you soon And no apology again given Paid and left I will never return Am a regular customer and tip there staff as well quiet heavily and I think it's disgusting how they treat there customers I arrived at the at 6:35pm when my steak came sent it straight back and never got my steak after that got told 5min will be out 10 min went then got told 4min waited further 15 min and cancelled I cancelled the steak In the end I had to starve because came 8:00pm and there was no sign of my food and did not want it after that either I came out and bought my wife and one year old son and we needed to get him home as well I hope whoever is reading this teaches there team manners you dare put your finger up at me I will be reporting this to trading standards as this is not acceptable
