Miller & Carter Steakhouse in South Bucks

Christmas Day lunch was wonderful, well organised, great atmosphere, staff were very friendly, food was delicious. I don't know that I will ever cook a Christmas lunch again.

I just want to say how wonderful the service was the lovely Abbie gave us this evening! She's an amazing waitress, made us feel welcome, she was incredibly polite and very helpful! The food was brilliant as always too! Taplow miller and carter is definitely a great one to go too! 😊

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Miller and Carter, and I must say, Angela made our experience truly delightful! From the moment we arrived, she greeted us with a warm smile and her cheerful demeanor set the perfect tone for the evening. Angela was incredibly attentive, ensuring that our drinks were always topped up and that we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. Her recommendations on the menu were spot-on, showcasing her knowledge and passion for the food they serve. What stood out the most was her genuine kindness and eagerness to make our visit special. She took the time to chat with us, making us feel valued as guests. It's rare to find someone who combines professionalism with such a lovely personality. Overall, Angela is a true gem at Miller and Carter, and her outstanding service made our night memorable. I can't wait to return and hopefully see her again! WS x

In the past, I haven’t been the biggest fan of M&C but I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and service at Taplow. Jessica, our waitress, was professional, helpful and attentive throughout our meal. As starters, we had the cheesy garlic bread, chipotle chicken, calamari & beef marrow with bread, all were excellent. For mains, we had 3 steaks (all first class), a burger and prawns, everyone was pleased with their choices and the Stilton steak sauce ( which I had) was exceptional! We will most certainly return.

We had a very good meal here on a Monday night. We ordered the medium-rare rump steak which was extremely well served and delicious . It came with three additional side choices. A generous portion of french fries. The salad wedge was outstanding and very refreshing. We had one with a bacon & honey dressing and the other with a vinaigrette. However the wine list is a let-down as they are pretty drab & mediocre. A good steak should be served with a quality Malbec, preferably from Argentina, or a good Côtes du Rhône. Even a mid-range Chianti or Rioja would have sufficed. Attentive service, responsive to dietary requirements.

Brilliant service food cooked to perfection

Really enjoyed our dinner in the steak house. Burgers are huge ! The steak was tasty ! Bathrooms are a little cold my partner came back to the table with ice cold hands after a short trip to the loos. Great food tho !

The steaks are great. The chips are less than great, the lump of fried grated onion(?) brick and the half a lettuce is a bit meh but the steaks (and peppercorn sauce) are amazing. Thanks. Two years later, the steaks are still most excellent, the Good chips are worth the extra quid and I even enjoyed the onion brick this time. Decent pint of Guinness and Shannon is a Diamond.

There was a very noisy crowd next to us. Not the restaurant fault but they could have said something. Drinks ordered never came. Plus menu is really hard to read

Do not go here on a Saturday night! They couldn't find my booking even though I had booked 3months prior. 2hr wait for starters, 2hr wait on Dinner. It was my 40th last Saturday and service and food was SHOCKING! I have absolutely no problem in waiting when the restaurantwas busy, But with no apology or no complimentary nibbles or drinks. Waitress had a face on her that told me she didnt care. She snapped too a fre times. Eventually food came out, Prawns was frozen (after waiting so long) Scollop was tiny, and room temperature. After 2hrs of waiting for dinner, a huge mix up with dinner leaving my mum with none & my lobster was over cooked. Thank god for good company, because after paying £450 for only 1 main to be taken off, your lucky we stayed! Safe to say I won't be coming back.

Me and my wife were served by Angela and we couldn't ask for a better service. Polite, friendly and accommodating. Made us feel very welcome! Food was amazing too so a great meal out.

Food was ok, not great The onion loaf was greasy, nothing special about any of it, the seabass was over cooked too. Won't be going back again in a hurry, much better places around to get a decent steak!
