Disappointed after reading other reviews. NYD visit may have played a significant part. Staff drafted in from other restaurants to run this restaurant. Food was not the greatest of quality, but edible. The menu production team should consider fantasy book writing. Either an off day due to time of year or previously easily pleased diners.

Very disappointed by the whole experience! Freezing cold in here only one small electric radiator and half the lights on ! The food is NOT freshly cooked but heated up !! I asked for spicy food the answer was we can give you spice after?? I want it cooked with if ?so I said oh the food is heated up then No was the answer we cook from fresh .. Really when the dish arrived in 10 mins HARDLY And to top it all 12.5 service charge 🎈🤨 This restaurant is not good the decor looks good but that’s it .Dont be fooled People were leaving when I was there as the coldness was unacceptable when I got home I had to put the heating on 24 degrees pajama and dressing gown electric radiator and a hot bath !🤷‍♀️took 6 hours to get warm after this miserable experience! Shame on you for being SO mean not to keep your customers warm and lying about the freshness plus not catering for Vegans when it states you DO !!

It’s Shame that even today we face discrimination, and ironically by one of yours. Staff was absolutely terrible. No hygine , if you are Asian and looking for good Indian food please never go there you might be treated as you can’t afford to seat in their restaurants. We went for dinner after booking and first response we got was while standing at door that we gonna be close soon with disgusting look from one of the staff. Later while being seated no one care to give us the menu card, my friend has to get it from bar counter top . Still no one was coming to us even to take order. Same man was loitering around in empty space. Such a poor service after ordering food. They were not even looking at us in fear that we might ask millions from them. If you are in hospitality business you must maintain hygiene . But that was missing too as they were having dirty uniforms on even when they came to take our order. It’s not like that they don’t know all this things sad part is we could see all this basic etiquette of hospitality shown to others because they are not brown. But we are brown so they are least bothered to even consider as customer. Fish was absolutely tasteless and not cooked properly. But lamb was good and you could experience the different flavours. We were so disappointed that we didn’t even feel like taking picture of food.

Visited this restaurant twice and on both occasions, found it disappointing for the quality of food, way overpriced and poor value for money. Among the other dishes ordered, the salmon tandoori tasted like boiled salmon with the curry sauce over it (a quicker way to cook I guess, but that’s not salmon tandoori) and the 3 papadoms we ordered looked like 1 and half papadoms all broken into pieces! On another occasion, masala chips was chips with masala sauce over it. Proper masala chips are seasoned with masala spices and only then fried. Again, another way they have cut corners. The second time we were there for a takeaway, we waited at least like 10 minutes until someone came to give us a menu, even though there were 3 or 4 people behind the counter. After we got the menu, not even a minute had passed, the waitress came to get our order. She also came very quickly with the card machine. Poor quality of food, way overpriced for portion size, slow service yet they want to get your money quickly. I think most people who think this restaurant is good, really don’t know what good quality Indian food is like.One man’s meat is another man’s poison. Definitely not going here again. Kipling’s further up the road in Highgate Village is the best Indian restaurant in Highgate.

Food was great, have been to both the Highgate and Camden restaurants and haven’t found an issue yet. 100% be back

This is a local place for us and we absolutely love it, varied menu, loads of vegetarian options, delicious food at a reasonable price, friendly and quick service, would highly recommend!

Namaaste is a lovely, comfortable and welcoming restaurant. It’s the fifth time I have been and each time the food has been excellent. Interesting food and well cooked and presented. The waitress is lovely and I should have asked her name. Thank you for your wonderful service. I will be back.

Namaaste is nice - every upmarket London suburb needs an upmarket Indian restaurant and the whole team here are doing a great job. We chose this spot because bossman at the local corner shop said it was good quality and tasty food. Indeed. All three dishes we ordered were majestic and complex. The cocktails were not so tasteful and the service was kind, warm, considered and slow. We sat outside on a humid summer evening and watched the world trundle by and the crowds flood in - staff frantically trying to meet the throbbing local demand for this low-key but smart restaurant. I think my date had a nice time but it was difficult to tell. If I was once again in the local area, and a similar mood was to strike, we would visit again.

Wonderful shop. Finest Indian cuisine. Everything is right: attentive service, the location in the middle of the idyllic village (we sat outside), the delicious tea, the reasonable prices. But above all the food. Simply delicious! Try it out. You won't regret it.

Came from France with my dad. Wanted to eat in an indian curry restaurant in london for 14years. Came to london for the first time, just for a day. Ate here, it was perfection! The chai is so good and the food outstanding. The service was suuper nice and caring.

Lovely restaurant with excellent service and delicious food. We tried a number of dishes and each one was excellent! We highly recommend a visit if you’re ever in the area. Great outdoor seating at the front too (and bonus - they have a changing table in the toilets!)

Extremely rude waiter who has absolutely no decorum or ability to communicate with customers. Waited over 30 mins for small plates which I’d expect from a budget takeaway. Masala chips were cold, poor in taste and were essentially just stale chips with chilli sauce from a bottle. The lamb chops were also poor quality - tough as boots, but was very hungry and was the most edible thing on the table. The ‘salt and chilli chicken’ was sloppy chicken in some sort of sauce from a jar. Inauthentic Indian food made in a cheap, budget way - perhaps should have taken the hint from the tacky decor and the poorly trained, rude staff. Had taken one bite of the food and sent it back. Was told by the misogynistic vile waiter that I had to pay for the chips… that’s not quite the case. Was the. Told I had to order 2 more items in replacement of the ones sent back to ‘make up the figure on the till’. He then began arguing me from across the restaurant, slamming doors like a man child and insulting my choice by stating ‘i ordered too much and wanted to send it back’. Actually, I didn’t trust that the food from the kitchen was actually going to be fresh given they couldn’t even get chips right… so had to go with my safest bet and order samosa chaat which is VERY difficult to get wrong… even that came out very sloppy but was eaten out of genuine hunger. Really disappointed and felt completely spoken down to by the waiter who I noticed did not speak so rudely to men or white people, only South Asian women who I’m sure he speaks to like this on the regular - very toxic and embarrassing for a man who is balding and waiting tables in his 40s. I’m quite aware of consumer law and I’m within my rights to send food back. Aggressive men do not do well in life… which is why you are serving tables at 40+ y/o. The lady that also came to work speaking about her P60 forms and personal affairs openly in front of the customers… how embarrassing and unrefined. Genuinely concerned for the lack of self awareness in the place, including that of the owner in his beat up car thinking he’s the King of Bombay… I’d be surprised if the restaurant was open in a year’s time but we shall see. Better off going to the pub down the road.

Happened in this place on our way to Highgate cemetery and had the best time. Service was impeccable. All the recommendations were delicious we had the best pani puri I have had in a while. The sea bass and okra and mango were also delicious. Some of the best Indian food I have had in some time . A delicious balance of sweet and chilli. Would definitely go back.

My favourite Indian restaurant in North London so far (and I have tried many 😇). The street food interpretation combined with the classical Indian spices makes it a new discovery every time I try a new dish here! My favourite so far: the veggie Punjabi Samosa Chaat followed by Punjabi Paneer Lababdar with Lachcha Paratha. The service is very friendly and the atmosphere in the restaurant clean and welcoming. Also we’ve ordered online a couple of times already and here too, the whole experience has always been great - quick delivery of hot, tasty food. I couldn’t ask for more!

The best Indian food I’ve ever had

On our trip to London, this place was recommended to us and it was great. The Karol Bagh Butter Chicken combined with Garlic Naan was the perfect choice for us. It was so delicious. "Mouth-watering" was no overstatement at all! The meat was so soft and tasty and the sauce was the perfect addition. The service was also great and the place itself is beautiful. Thank you very much! :)
