The location is great - it’s in a park area so quiet and some walking options. The hotel (and our room) felt slightly tired and begs the question of really being of 5 star standard. Perhaps the info in Google is outdated for star rating? Service was very good - reception very helpful & professional and barman fully capable. Breakfast was 4 star too in terms of the cooked food. So a solid 4 stars for Oddfellows.

Stunning hotel, tastefully decorated in a beautiful location. On arrival there were no parking spaces left. I arrived around 1.30pm so the restaurant was busy with people doing lunch. I asked if I could park elsewhere to be told that I can park in the car park close by, £4 for all day parking but you must move before 8am the next morning. My room was ready when I arrived but I was told it would be another £15 to check in early. The staff were friendly and were helpful. Breakfast was very good but coffee was very bitter and lukewarm. My room was at the top of the first floor directly over the reception area. I could hear someone coughing persistently throughout the night, it sounded like it was coming from reception area. Although the room was lovely with a comfortable bed, I had a sleepless night. I would go back and stay but not in the same room.

Staff are absolutely amazing a credit to the place. The room could do with some high up hooks to hang a long dress from . Also a bigger mirror at the dressing table. Food was delicious 😋 the breakfast omelette was a chefs triumph!

Great hotel with incredible attention to detail and an enchanting charm. Excellent service that immediately makes you feel at home. The rooms are of course very clean, well furnished and very quiet. And this despite the fact that the hotel is located directly in the Manchester flight path. The ancient thick walls and good windows prevent any aircraft noise. I slept wonderfully well, the mattresses were excellent. An absolute insider tip.

Stayed 2 nights in April. Great little place and very quirky. Highlights are the food and service from the team. It would be 4.5 stars except parking is a bit challenging, the bed was a bit too firm for us (personal preference). Apart from that can't fault the place and we would happily stay again. Just be aware it is near the airport, but planes stop between 10pm and 6am.

We stayed here for two nights. The staff gave us a warm welcome on arrival. The interior decor is very interesting and suits the buildings architecture. Our room was warm and cosy. We had a fantastic full English breakfast, which was served to the table hot. You had a choice of how you wanted your egg served. I had scrambled egg. We also had Sunday lunch. I had Lamb, and my wife had roast beef. Again, this was also served to the table nice and hot and cooked to perfection. The parking can be a bit of an issue. There are limited free parking spaces outside the entrance of the hotel. When these are full, you have to park in the public car park approximately 100 metres further up the road. There is a small fee off £3.60 per day paid to the metre near the entrance.

I had a stay the the Alexandra Hospital for some back surgery and post and wanted/needed to be local for a few days. I was recommended to the hotel and was absolutely blown away in every respect. The team were helpful, flexible, caring and truly incredible with every detail. They elegantly moved me to a room more suitable at their suggestion, did not drive me mad (other than to drink more water) and went above and beyond what I could have anticipated or expected. I wish I had taken more photos and whilst I didn’t have a massive appetite for the 5 days, the Pizza was amazing and the service as good an anything. I will be back for sure to make use of the restaurant and all of the facilities but want to thank the whole team for being amazing. Thank you!

This is our 'go to' place, the best take out around! The cheese dough balls are die for, pizzas are amazing and so are the burgers, as you can see we are working our way through the menu! Very reasonably priced as well, staff are very friendly.

Tried the pizzas for the first time and wow they are excellent! Really tasty wood fired, massive portion! They’re about 14 inch! Some of the best pizzas we’ve ever had, lots of great toppings and the hot honey and garlic ranch dips are incredible!! Will 100% be back. Dog friendly pub too! 🐶

Onions, onions and more onions! Pickle tray - mint sauce was flourescent green, never seen anything like it! Onions were redder than tomatoes. Seriously, how much colourant do you need to use. I also thought there was a strange smell from the pickles which left a distasteful aftertaste. Ordered chicken Shahlik, which was very salty, small amounts of chicken, again, too many onions. The curry sauce also full of onion..... What's with all of the onions, I hear you cry! When asked how our food was we politely gave our feedback, was little response from the elderly gentleman who we found to be rather arrogant and indifferent. A younger member of staff spoke to us, of which I asked if he would eat what we had been served.... Neither confirmed nor denied so take what you will from that one! But hey, an onion a day keeps everyone away.... and that'll be the case with us returning to this restaurant!
