This place has really good quality cooking. Problem is it's all spicy. My companion asked for the daal and. Was advised to change to another as less spicy. He did but still had to ask for yogurt to dilute the spice. Nice place, good service, good food. Has improved a great deal can now get less spicy food. First class in every way now. Do excellent take away too. Now dealt with over spicy food issue. 5 stars now. Great atmosphere and service as well as the food.

I walked in and immediately felt a positive vibe and felt welcomed, I was asked what type of Indian food I liked and was then given a recommendation based on my answer; which was the Coconut fry with Nan's,. This is by far my favourite Indian restaurant in West London. Friendly staff and attentive owners make sure every visit goes smoothly. It is big enough to feel lively but small enough to feel at home I highly recommend the bhindi, onion bhaji, lamb shank rogan josh, and Kerala fish curry. All are sure winners...

El servicio era excelente - muy atento y capaz de dar consejos sobre el tamaño de la porción y recomendaciones de platos a elegir. La comida llegó rápidamente y era muy sabroso. We have become regulars here. The food is consistently good and service always friendly. One of the few places nearby that have a really good Dal Makhani on the menu. We like that there are many items on the menu that you won’t find everywhere else. Thoroughly recommended.

Amazing starters and veg main courses

Saag paneer, Masala paneer, Dhal makani, Peshwari naan: Every dish has gloriously tasty, and deeply infused spices, that roll over and belly-dance on your taste buds! The best Indian restaurant in London. I have been going for more than 10 years and the quality is always phenomenal, always reliable, the flavours and textures are fantastic, and a friendly warm and familiar atmosphere. The spicy crab and paneer sashlik starters are sublime, I've never had paneer so good anywhere else - firm, singed in the tandoor and delicious. The mains are a cut above as well, particularly the more dry lamb coconut fry, Kerala Fish Curry, and the Chicken Hara Masala. I have been here for birthdays, anniversaries and just random Tuesdays and it never disappoints. Fantastic food, can't recommend highly enough.

When I first stepped into this great restaurant, almost 15 years ago, I was struck by the enticing smell of fresh herbs. Nothing has changed since then, superior quality, don’t get misled by the fancy Tamarind of this world. Here every single dish tastes authenticity, at everybody’s wallet reach. One of the best Indian restaurants in London run by a chef with years of experience at some of the top hotels in the world. Food is of a consistently high quality. Love the lamb coconut fry and chicken handi masala. Also the kerala fish curry

Delicious food, lovely staff. Recommend lamb coconut fry, dhal makhani and the Kerala fish curry, plus the kulfi is really good. Edit: 5 years later and it’s still just as good! And the staff are so lovely too. My family always comes here for special occasions, they did a special menu for my graduation party and usually have special menus at Christmas, Easter etc :)

I've been to Potli in King Street 4x now and it's been consistently good. Especially the vegetarian dishes of which there is a good choice. I see a few complaints about the cost here, but believe me: if you don't drink much alcohol and stick to the perfectly good tap water, you will have a very good meal for £30. Like all London restaurants, the margins on booze are horrific. Personally, I stick to a half of Kingfisher with my meal. I suspect some of the reviewers here are necking a couple of pints each: old school curry house fashion. I'm don't care what they do, but it's not the right comparison.

The food was delicious. The service was really nice and excellent. The only thing (why I just rated with 4 stars) is that my food was quite spicy although it was declared as „mild“ and in sum it was a bit pricy. But in sum, definitely worth to visit.

My favourite restaurant in London. The staff are always friendly and truly make the place feel like home, remembering me and welcoming me back whenever I go. They remember my favourites and the food is consistently incredible every single time, no matter what you order, whether dining in, taking out or for delivery. Food was ok charged over 8 quid for a few popadoms, one of the nan breads was missing then had the cheek to charge a 12% tip, definitely won't be going there to be ripped off again.

We went there for lunch and had the special lunch offer, we took the panner curry and the aubergine curry, both were incredible and the portion were really generous. The staff was super friendly and to top it all it was such a great price. Highly recommend!

One of my favourite places to takeaway/deliveroo from for authentic North Indian fare. The lachha parathas are crisp and flaky and each main has its dedicated curry base unlike some restaurants that use the same orange curry for all dishes. The people who receive my call are kind and accommodating with dietary restrictions.

We were greeted by smiling staff with top customer service. They were spot on with their approach to welcoming us, within minutes the restaurant was full of returning customers and the food was absolutely delicious. We tried the new added dishes to the menu, butter chicken samosas and the champaran mutton which were perfectly seasoned. My personal best Indian restaurant after today's visit.

I visited this place twice and the food reminds me of Delhi and Bombay I ordered gilafi sheek kebab and chicken tikka (as you can tell I’m a grilled food fan) and both dishes were amazing I love the authenticity of the cuisine - the food is fresh, amazing quality and service from Bharat and Ankot matches this The service is warm, friendly and caters to special requests. The team is so friendly, we even had the head Chef come out to see us whose name is Uttam This is an amazing little gem in Chiswick and comes highly recommended . If you want authentic North Indian style food, this is the place to be. Food is excellent with hospitality to match and an ambience that transports you back to Mumbai Love it

The food at this place is spectacular, and it also offers typical dishes from different parts of India. The staff's attention is unbeatable, very attentive. They explained and advised us on the different dishes, how they are prepared, and where they come from. Ashish, the general manager, personally attended to us and explained many interesting topics about Indian gastronomy. Without a doubt, I recommend it; I haven't found a restaurant in all of London that pays such attention to detail.

Love Potli - amazing food, above and beyond the classics with delicious and impeccably-cooked tandoori, starters and main dishes, great range of vegetarian options and rice and naan. This is the place we take friends who miss good Indian food, whether from out of town or overseas, and they are always blown away. A pleasure to eat at the restaurant, with impeccable service and cheerful setting, comfortable with nice details of bright silks and vintage adverts. Ordering in advance from the website and collecting, or for delivery, also managed super efficiently and with charm always. How lucky we are to live close by - but definitely worth a journey too.

Updating this review now because recently we had our baby shower and we decided to get catering from here and I cannot recommend this place enough! The entire process was a pleasant experience. Right from the point of ordering to the actual day of catering was seamless. They help me plan the menu, accommodate all my needs for the party and when actually the food arrived it was packaged so well. I was worried it might be a bit flimsy and stuff but it was such good quality strong containers which makes a big difference and then the food itself was just DELICIOUS! They also included the Indian desert speciality malpua specifically for our catering order.😍 The portion sizes were so generous that we ended up taking a lot back home and going to be enjoying that food for a few more days to come. 😋

We went for a friend’s birthday celebration with about 18 people. The team could not have done more for us, so attentive and friendly. And the food - just wow. So fresh, authentic and utterly delicious. I could not recommend more highly

Ate here last night with my dad, and we were both so impressed. We arrived close to opening time but it didn’t take long to fill up. The service was impeccable, attentive but relaxed, and our server advised us when ordering to lead us to an amazing pairing of curry. The railway goat dish (could be getting the name wrong!) and the coconut lamb. SO good. Paired with a couple of Naans and a side of rice, hands down the tastiest curry I’ve had in years and not to mention the authentic, interesting decor they had. I will definitely be returning, probably quite soon!

5 stars for food AND service. Thank God the reviews didn’t lie in this case. We had the starters, chicken trio - scrumptious. Then we had one of their king prawn curries (prawns perfectly cooked and tender btw), with their special dhal dish, sag paneer, excellent garlic nan and rice. All recommended by our helpful server. Again sometimes recommendations can be disappointing but in this case he went above and beyond. Suggesting which sauces worked well, what size dishes and what complemented our choices. Will definitely come again. It was a busy and packed restaurant but felt really welcoming. We will be back!

I had been craving for some authentic Indian food especially Odia food since I'm from the state of Odisha. Had seen a review on Youtube saying this place had the authenticity. I ordered rice and mutton curry the two times I visited this place during my stay in London and the calm that ran through my nerves after finally eating such authentic food, I can't express. I'd recommend Indians to surely go there if you're missing home cooked food. The ambience is amazing even if the restaurant isn't that big, but the decorations, warm staff, music and care just makes up for it. Wasn't disappointed at all.

We hosted the 50th Wedding Anniversary of our parents at Potli in November. It was a private setting for around 30 guests in the basement of the restaurant. Uttam and his team ensured that the quality of food and service was top-notch. In addition, the level of flexibility that was displayed to provide each guest what they needed so that they went back happy was unparalleled. I must say that this is a great restaurant for Indian food in London and a must try for locals as well as global trotters.

Excellent food .....Great service....A++++++ Takda daal very tasty with garlic prominent - delicious Potli paneer - best paneer dish eaten in the UK ... Soft paneer .... Excellent excellent 👌🏽 Biryani very flavorful and delicious....meat was a Little dry but the delicious raita made up for it ..... Naans and rotis were fresh and delicious Chutney's served with the papad were unique and delicious definitely not out of a jar Next time the railway mutton or the raan Do visit this hidden gem ... delicious food nd excellent service.

Arguably one of the best Indian restaurants in London nurtured and run over a decade by Uttam Tripathy. The food is fabulous, made just perfect with fresh ingredients and customized to one's taste. Try from the veritable list of chaats and Indian Street foods. The veg & non-veg options are a plenty & the taste is beautifully nuanced. If you are in London, you shouldn't miss this place.

I LOVE this place. I’ve been a few times now and it never disappoints. The service is warming, friendly and impeccably professional each time. The food is packed with so much flavour and is, in my opinion, some of the best Indian food in London. Naan bread is without a doubt the best I’ve ever had. Pricing is also extremely reasonable, they have a lunchtime set menu which is great. We bring everyone who comes to visit us in London here and you should too.

Potli provided fantastic catering for 80 guests for my 60th birthday party in our local community hall. They were brilliant to work with from start to finish, wonderful service and food, nothing was too much trouble for them including setting up the tables, serving drinks, working in a tiny kitchen off-site. All my family and friends loved the incredible spread of finger food and buffet main courses. Thank you Potli!

Liked the ambience, decorations and music. Service was prompt. Also liked the revolving table tops. The food tastes good. Very authentic Indian cuisine, not a watered down version of the originals but the real deal. Tried various dishes- starters, main course, dessert. All the dishes were fine and portions were good for all items except panipuri. But it is rather expensive. For some, it might not seem adequate value for money. But if it suits your budget, then it's a good restaurant to visit.

We are big fans of Indian food, and when we moved to Chiswick we were excited by all of the Indian restaurant options. But it didn't take us long to find this gem thank goodness! Our group of four had a truly amazing dinner - from great starters to our delicious main dishes that ranged the spectrum of spices and "heat". The staff were very accommodating about explaining the menu and also about adjusting spice levels if that is what the person wanted. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!

The most phenomenal Dal Markani available outside of India and the loveliest staff.

Absolutely fantastic, Michelin recommended and it shows in quality and service. We had the boar vindaloo and railway mutton curry and both were fantastic. That said the mutton wasn't actually mutton but rather lamb chunks. Still delicious. I can't say enough how good the service is, staff is quick and professional while still seeming at ease and friendly. Definitely would recommend to a friend.

The servers were incredibly attentive and the food was out of this world!! Would highly recommend the samosas and the Railway Mutton Curry! The spice levels were absolutely perfect.

Authentic Indian cuisine at Hammersmith. It was pretty close to our hotel and located on the main road. Spices used were appropriate. Above all the service was fantastic! The prices were reasonable.

I can't understand why this has only a 4.5. Hands down the best curry for miles; genuine, light and fragrant. We had the rogan josh lamb shank, korma and Jhalfrezi - the latter being exceptional. Old school chutney wheel, absolutely clockwork and superb service. Can't speak too highly of this place!

The food was so delicious, fresh, portions just right and quick and lovely service. Space outside allowed us to enjoy nice summer evening. We will definitely come back!
