This evening ie Thursday 28/11/2024 bought some food from RoI King prawn biryani , not a cheap dish King prawns were like rubber and not cooked properly or chef hadn't cooked king prawns before A Bombay aloo was also ordered bland and tasteless Never tasted such a bland and tasteless meal in ages How can they call themselves an Indian restaurant Definitely not going there again My friend got a lamb curry and rice but after seeing my food she was hesitant to eat hers . Total waste of £44.10p

Terrible experience with rude and disrespectful staff. Their attitude was shockingly racist, creating an unwelcoming atmosphere. The food was mid at best, definitely not worth the hassle. We arrived for an early dinner, and within 40 minutes, the waiter repeatedly pressured us to finish, even though we were still eating our main course. When we mentioned we weren’t done, they bluntly suggested we pack up and leave. It’s disheartening to see such behavior, especially at an Indian restaurant that seems to have no regard for its Indian guests.

Looked like frozen/fridge food heated up. Was expecting freshly made samosas. Mixed grill was small and chewy.

The place is amazing. I wanted to leave the hotel and passed by. I said I would try it, thank God. What I liked most was the service. The staff were there and they were quick to bring you food quickly, clean and well. We tried the chicken butter masala, amazing and spicy with butter naan bread and white bread. We tried the chicken tarsina biryani. Honestly, they gave us The wet girls are hot, Zain, the warmth and chocolate hospitality. Their service is fast. I wanted to post pictures for you. Good luck 🌹

Really nice and authentic place. The food was absolutely top notch, and tasted insanely delicious, and there was plenty of it. The waiters were a bit reserved and you felt a bit watched, as there weren't very many guests either. We had come to spill a little on the tablecloth and while we were paying they started to take it off the table, which seemed a bit provocative, whereas they could have waited the extra minutes until we had left. But the food significantly pulls up the review

Always a nice meal. We go here often and it’s our favourite local curry house. The food is really good. We normally get takeaways but tried the buffet which was good value for money with different things to try

Not as good as remembered as several years since last there. Again service perfunctory to point of being given an attitude by one waiter otherwise food was a little too cloying in that too much sugar added to make it appealing/flavoured perhaps though starters were excellent.

Pathetic service, racist waiters and very mid food. Ironically using name of India to do business but hate to see Indians in the restaurant. If it was "Raj of Bangladesh" we still could have gone for some good food. Btw, had a family with me with elders and kids. We ordered our food and I politely asked can we get extra empty "bowl" for a curry upon my father request who is 65 yo. Upon my request, the waiter murmured "what is a bowl" "this is how we serve" and went in only to bring a vessel and saying "this is what we have" in a not so gentle tone. And I pointed to a bowl just across the table and he said we only serve dessert in it. And while he was still serving others and walking past us, heard him murmur again "typical indian people" and it went on. Avoid at all cost if you dont want to spoil your day with such racist people. All other Indians who visited and reviewed had the same experience.

Raj of India in Shepherds Bush serves a solid Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi. Good flavours, good service, worth a visit. This is my brother's favourite local Indian place. Def be back.

Arrived late - near the end of the day, and they kindly served us an amazing dinner. We ordered multiple dishes, and were surprised at how quickly they were prepared. Fresh, steaming and just fantastic! Would highly recommend!!!!

I have returned every time in london as the food is delicious. I had tandoori chicken , very tasty and moist but my highest praise was the naan. It might be the best ever. Service, good. Prices are good. If I lived in London, this would be my local!!

We visited for dinner had a decent ambiance, but our experience was marred by the exceptionally rude behavior of the waiter. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, we were taken aback when a head waiter approached us after placing our order, chastising us for not ordering more. Their remark about it being a restaurant, not a café bar, and the insistence on a minimum order per person could have been conveyed with more tact. Overall, the poor service overshadowed an otherwise pleasant dining atmosphere. "Overall, the dining experience had its highs and lows. The lamb chops were definitely a standout, succulent and flavorful. However, the chapatti, although generously sized, was disappointingly tough. The paneer butter masala, while decent, leaned too heavily on sweetness for my taste. The fried rice left much to be desired, essentially resembling jeera rice with scrambled egg thrown in. On a brighter note, the mango lassi was a refreshing delight."

The place was quite busy for dinner. Food was quite good.The prawns i ordered were tasty and also the rice. Service needs to improve as waitress werent the most welcoming ones. One of the waitress was bit harsh when we told him that we ordered rice and he said we didnt, it was an ackward moment.

Restaurant typique indien. Un serveur tres agréable, qui a pris le temps avec nous sachant que c’était notre premier restaurant indien et en plus en anglais. Nourriture très bonne, le rapport qualité prix est correct. Ils proposent des plats épicés ou non. On recommande avec plaisir. 😌

I dined at the restaurant last week with my husband. My husband enjoyed his meal, but we both agreed my main was very disappointing and the majority of it was left uneaten. However, of far greater concern was the attitude of the staff to me. They showed respect and professionalism to my husband - and I was ignored - over and over. To make a point, I paid (hoping this would rebalance the curtesy towards me), but this wan't the case. I thought I spotted an error with the bill, but I was rushed to pay; the manager simply said "card!" to me (meaning he needed my credit card). I asked to keep the invoice and check it slow-time, but this was totally refused and so I took a quick photo with my phone before the invoice was taken away. There had indeed been a mistake in the total; albeit small (and I believe it was probably not deliberate). However, how the manager dealt with this was appalling. Initially he denied it and then simply said it. was 'human error'. At no point did he offer any apology. Instead he simply turned his back on me and said to a junior member of staff to "give her the overpayment in cash". I confronted the manager. I actually wasn't concerned about the small overcharging; but his attitude to me throughout our time and lack of apology for his error were hugely inappropriate. We will not return.

One of the best if not the best Indian restaurant in London, last time I went was 10 years ago and it keeps it good food quality. Food was fantastic.

Food was decent, but the waiter was extremely rude! The restaurant was almost empty and he said we that we had stayed too long. Apparently 1.5 hours is too long to catch up with a friend over a meal, even after paying for our food. Horrible service. Sad how one horrible waiter can totally ruin a place that I used to enjoy visiting.

I had read about this place. Went there last night. Wow! It"s great. I had a chicken shashlick and mushroom bhaji, food heaven. This place is seriously great. The staff are fantastic and the menu extensive . Visited again Feb 2024. Just as good and the prices are reasonable for the area. Best in West London.

I had lamb vindaloo as usual, great taste, my family and I go here regularly, but a little expensive, you pay for what you get I suppose

Authentic food, good portions and fair prices in a great location. I had a starter and main which was enough for me. A pint of Kingfisher too. If you wanted dessert, there wasn't much choice on the menu.

We were scammed with the side plates. They don’t include the plain rice and they charge you without telling 4£ each. Also nothing is hot, all mild, they didn’t even ask about the level of spicy. Apart from that, the food was good.

Honest reviews for people looking for Indian food: this place is a big NO!! Trust me, they just make the food look like indian. It is not Indian at all. Currys literally have no flavour at all.

Food taste good and good value for money, however poor on allergy information. My food was served with dairy in it, despite it not being listed on the menu & telling the waiter. I had the Chana Masala, please let the chef know this shouldn't contain dairy or amend the menu

Excellent service exemptional food

Really top notch curry from Raj of India! Have been using them for 3 years and never been disappointed! The quality of their chicken and lamb dishes are excellent! No nasty fat, bone or gristle! And we have never tasted Bombay Aloo as good as Raj of India's!

I ordered the Karai Gosth (lamb) based off of the suggestion of the waiter and found it to be tasty and tender.

Lively little restaurant with very attentive staff. The only issue I have is no high chair or space for wheelchair but on the whole it was very pleasant.

Have eaten here a few times. We have always enjoyed the Service that we receive whenever we visit. Very pleasant and polite staff, always ready to assist if required. We have never had to complain about the quality or taste of the food. The food is delicious and tasty.

We decided to try the Raj as my go to restaurant had sadly closed.The reviews seemed to be mixed but we were relieved to find it was welcoming and well run . The food was good and the waiters were very professional

First visit. Very clean Indian restaurant. All the food was good, but the Rogan Josh with lamb was particularly excellent.

Good food but a bit lacking in atmosphere

I have been here a few times for the mini buffet on Sundays. It's not too expensive but there aren't a lot of options. It is usually empty with maybe a few other people. Overall, it is good for a family meal.

First and last time I was there for Sunday buffet which isn’t worth for £15! I think Indian food should be fresh cooked and served. Chicken was over cooked and dried. It wasn’t variety food displayed either! I didn’t enjoy at all 🤐

Chicken Chili Masala or a nice Lamb Madras are my favourites. The Dal was a bit too glutinous for me although tasty. It has a large seating area, so booking a table is seldom required. Nice!

The atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice and clean. The staff were very attentive and helpful. We ordered two curry’s and naan with drinks and everything was so tasteful and cook well. They have a wide range of dishes to choose from no matter your spice tolerance. We will definitely be coming back here again. Would recommend coming here.

London has some of the best Indian ever but its definitely not here which is disappointing. Lamb was over cooked and tough to eat, it was seasoned well though so I guess that's good. Chicken Tikka was too sweet, tasted more like butter chicken than tikka. Service was not welcoming. They hovered over our table and stared at us constantly, not giving us any time to chat amongst ourselves. They tried to clear the plate I was eating from three times. I literally had to them to leave us alone and the place was empty so there was no need to be rushing us like this. Also they wouldn't allow us to take the chutney for the pappadum which we later found out was because they use the same for all tables which is unsanitary to say the least. Thankfully we got suggestions for a better place in Covenant Gardens which we'll be going to tonight.

My favourite go to for indian food, the starters and mains are all great, the service is good and the prices are also pretty good considering location and standard, the tandoori dishes are especially nice.

I visited this restaurant a few days back and it was the worst experience I ever had in any of restaurant who serves Indian food. Besides the pathetic taste of food, the staff at this restaurant are not providing a respectful service and should be held accountable for their inappropriate behavior. The owner needs to do more to ensure that their staff treat customers with respect regardless of ethnicity or nationality. Additionally, it is unacceptable that they are not providing original bills in an effort to avoid paying taxes; this is illegal and should be reported immediately. I warn everyone not to go ever in this restaurant.

This restaurant name should be "Shame of Bangladesh". They're running the business by the name of India but they have nothing to do with India. Neither do they make food as fresh and tasty as real Indian foods are nor their staffs are behaving as civilised and cultured as Indians are! From the moment I entered, it was clear things weren't going to go well. The atmosphere was dull and uninviting, with no sign of any other customers or staff members in sight. When I finally got a chance to order my food, I quickly realized why - the quality of the food left much to be desired. The dishes were poorly prepared and tasteless; they lacked flavor, texture, and freshness altogether. Furthermore, they seemed as if they had been sitting out for hours on end before being served to me. What made matters worse is that when I asked one of the servers about this issue, he just shrugged his shoulders indifferently and walked away without providing any sort of explanation or apology for such subpar service. All in all, this restaurant did not make for a great dining experience and I would definitely not recommend it! Top of everything, the staffs are very rude and misbehave with customers.

Absolutely shocking!!! Extremely rude staff who hang up the phone, we placed an order at 6:50pm and it did not arrive. After calling numerous times and by 9pm being told still another hour we requested a refund. The man on the phone was so rude each time we called. The food finally arrived at 9:10pm 2hrs and 20 minutes after ordering (we was told 40-50 minutes). Once the food finally came it was all freezing cold and had to be put in the microwave! Absolutely shocking and we would like a refund

I came here for my birthday and the waiters really made my day special!! They took pictures for us and made sure we were happy throughout the entire stay. The service was amazing as well as the food, prices are really great as well amazing for families. Thank you raj of India for making my day so great.

Nothing to complain about. There's seems to be a shortage of curry in the area so went here on a whim and they were lovely. Food was quick and much better than I expected.

As an Indian I can say this is by the far the worst three Indians I have ever had in my life. As you walk in you realize it's not decorate up to scratch but it's ok it's about the food right? When you sit at your table they offer you a popadom and chutney/dips. It's normal to have this at your table right? NOPE they charge you for this one pound per popadom. No water provided at the table unless requesting bottled. The onion bhaji over done and dry. 3.50 for one can of coke? Staff have no customer service what so ever. Very rude and cheeky with their comments. When you ask for something, it's like a inconveince. I had Bombay aloo, it was not a Bombay aloo, it was tomatoey no flavour. And matter paneer, may I ask why this tasted so sweet like coconut? Friends ordered other dishes like prawn or chicken or lamb. However everything tasted the same. I will certainly not waste my money here again. They mention AUTHENTIC INDIAN however nothing is authentic.

We have eaten here on numerous occasions and thoroughly enjoyed it. However, we have ordered deliveries twice and both times we waited for over an hour and a half, and the food was cold and had to be reheated in the microwave. Really disappointed this happened again. Would not recommend delivery.

Love the Lamb Madras. The lamb is cooked so you can eat it with a fork or a spoon even. Very tasty. Nice service too. I go back weekly.

Had high expectations for this place because of all the good reviews but it was a let down. Food had no aroma or taste. I had Korma and it was overly sweet…I mean desert level sweetness. It wasn’t appetizing at all. Probably won’t be going back.

This was a great find, the food was tasty and plentiful, staff were attentive, well laid out restaurant and a peaceful atmosphere.

We ordered lamb paneer and rice amongst some starters, I sent the rice and lamb back it tasted like dog food the rice was overcooked and bland, I was being polite and yet the manager insisted that's how it was supposed to taste so I asked him to taste it which he refused, I changed my order only for him to come back and be pushy about the rice, again I was polite and after having been to many Indian restaurants I can tell you this is one of the worst from the awful food to the staff, overpriced and just all round not edible I would never eat here again!

Too Much service. Almost no chance too breath before the waiter ask for Thing. Clear the table to fast. Remove plates almost before you swallow the last bite.

My wife and I visit this restaurant at 1 to 2 time a month on a Sunday to have their buffet which is very nice as long as you get there early enough say before 3.00pm otherwise you may find the food is getting low, the staff are very friendly and helpful, give it a try.i would also recommend have an evening meal too.

Best Butterchicken and Naan (self-made) I have ever had. Really good restaurant, prices are fine and the service was fast and friendly. What do you want more?
