Pound Bakery in Oldham

It’s been 2 months since this happened And I am still so worked up about it, It’s made me so nervous when eating out with my son and has gave me awful anxiety.. Two months ago I was given what I was told a vegan pasty My son who has allergies ate half of the pasty before he started to have a severe allergic reaction where I had to drive him to a&e as fast as I could because he was screaming in pain. When I visited the store the next day I confronted the women who served me who went on to say she thought vegan And vegetarian were the same Thing and she didn’t realise how serious allergies were. WHEN ARE ALLERGIES GOING TO BE TOOK SERIOUSLY RETRAIN YOUR STAFF!!!! It’s a matter of life and death and you have careless people working with food. Absolutely shocking. MORE AWARENESS MORE NEEDS TO HAPPEN!!!!

This store has been a life line for many people has its local and it remained open for the duration of covid I hate to use this to describe the times we are in it is a really good priced bakery I particularly enjoyed the custard slices

went today and found the member of staff serving me very ignorant and rude I felt like I was an inconvenience for her ..food was lovely though

It is what it says £1 bakery. everything a pound. It aint gourmey food but it is tasty and generally very good. In some respects better than Greggs when you are on the run

They have a wide range of sandwiches and cakes some made and packed on a daily basis some not!! They also have fresh pies and other goodies

Great pies at great prices. Also you can get deserts and other yummies. Great to stop by pick up and take home.

a frequent customer so tried all manner of products and most found to be tasty and low cost.Prices recently increased but still very low cost and far cheaper than competitors.

Went here as shaw didn't have jumbo Cornish, but neither did these seems a theme with this place after 12.30 can't get jumbo traditions, value for money though and there carrot cakes is stunning also traditional Cornish pasties and great, just wish they did more stock, when I sent email to company got a shoddy reply

Just passing so nipped in for a breakfast muffin, well worth a visit as it says everything a £1 if you are passing everything well worth it it's clean and the staff are friendly

I was surprised to see it was open on Sunday as we just called in for some pies . The pies where not very warm . I would have liked​ them a bit hotter. We also got some cakes which where very nice.

Called in for a quick snack at lunch. Really good value for money 2 pies foe £1 sandwiches all a £1.

It is what it is, what you would expect for a £1 plenty of variety, kids love it,staff friendly and helpful, nice and handy when out shopping and in a rush,hat stuff always hot,and everything fresh

Run of the mill and little put off buy the hygiene as the staff put gloves on to do the food then use the same gloved hand to take your money then go to the next person using the same gloved hand which is pointless the food was good but nothing special you would do better to go to the local supermarket which have many in shaw
