Awesomely unique pub in London Fields, the closest you'll ever get to an authentic London pub experience, without having youe wallet stollen. Lovely staff and great atmospshere

A lively pub that’s perfect for catching events or enjoying a Sunday roast. The roast was quite good and offered great value for money. The outdoor area is especially charming during the warmer months. One of our favourite spots when we are in East London!

very cool location with a bigger choice

We’re sat by the chef and we just watched him eat our chips, lick his fingers and then call his phone. Probably a minus -10 for hygiene and food. Deep friend the burgers too 🤢 Decent pint though!

It’s a cute place, but the service is just…. Nonexistent? They had 9 bartenders, with a max. 1 person deep bar queue, and they were just standing around ignoring customers. Folks, I get its minimum wage, but it’s also what you’re employed to do. Your venue location doesn’t mean you can ignore all your customers, gang.

Doorman just rejected me at and my friend at 9.30pm for no reason saying it was full when multiple people were leaving...

Lovely day out here, think we stayed for about 6 hours! Came for a birthday we had booked a table for 10, sadly we were only given 1 bench but luckily a bench next to us became free so crisis adverted. Drinks were nice and service was quick. Food was very expensive & sounded lovely but was all a little bit disappointing but not terrible. Atmosphere was nice, DJ was playing great tunes. Dog friendly & right on the edge of the park.

Great spot this afternoon. Fresh crisp pale & XPA care of Five points and perfect burgers (credit to the chef) including the Smokey Joe with slaw and fries. Nice 👌

Great vibe as always but a SCANDAL with the chicken wings!! 3 shrivelled fricken wings for £7.50. Not acceptable..

Useless staff that shouldn't work in hospitality, if they don't provide good service. Shame they haven't been trained, as the manager guy is equally useless and stupid - ignored us when we were trying to order and the bar was empty, then refused service when we pointed out that we were waiting for ages.

Después de un sano juego de rondadores en el parque más pintoresco, nos enfermó nuestra experiencia en este establecimiento. Calidad... algo con lo que este lugar no está familiarizado. En primer lugar, no podíamos oírnos pensar, y mucho menos hablar por la perforación constante (y estoy hablando de la buena clase). El trabajo de construcción hizo que todo el bar estuviera muy polvoriento hasta el punto de que todos los vidrios estaban sucios. Bar de etiqueta... no me hagas empezar. Podrían habernos escupido en la cara. Vierte vino y aperol spritz en vasos de pinta porque se negaron a limpiarlos. No solo estaban sucias las vasijas, la jarra de agua estaba llena de amigos no deseados. Hablando de amigos no deseados... estoy completamente fuera de mí. Una experiencia que no le desearía a mi peor enemigo. Se compraron unas cuantas bolsas de patatas fritas, después de unos instantes no pudimos entender por qué estaba constantemente dejando caer patatas fritas. Para mi total disgusto, descubrimos el problema. UN RATÓN SE HABÍA COMIDO SU CAMINO EN LA BOLSA. Estoy completamente sorprendido y mortificado por lo que este establecimiento me ha hecho pasar. Sin embargo, nos aventuramos por el camino hacia el Gato y la Muta. Mi experiencia no podría haber sido mejor. Cristales limpios y personal amable. ¡Y SIN RATONES! No vayas al Pub en el Parque bajo ninguna circunstancia a menos que seas un exterminador.

What a great little spot. We watched the rugby and Wimbledon and had some Pimms. Great atmosphere and nice location

They don’t honor bookings for tables, we booked a table of 10 and they were wouldn’t let 3 of the member in because they let in too many walk ins. Also the food was horrible, over cooked, felt like they just turned out whatever.

Burger tastes the same as a wetherspoons burger. They used to have some real ales (beers) on pumps. Now they just have 10 different variations of fizzy pale ale.

They don't play the sound with the football. Complete silence for the England game.

Great pub, nice seating inside and out. Had an amazing poutine, best since I was in Canada! The Boss Hog was great value for money. Would recommend to anyone who loves a decent pint and some good food.

Vegan burger was one of the most expensive but the ‘patty’ was just mushy with no texture, and the burger had chopped raw carrots in it which was random? Taste okay, not good veggie/vegan options for 2024

Nice pub and atmosphere but some rude staff. Every one I interacted with seemed annoyed.

Was ignored till the staff finished speaking. I then asked for a drink menu or a verbal drink selection I was told they didn’t have any menus. I then was given dirty glasses with my bottle of wine. When asking for a clean one, I then received a hot glass. Which I had to clean with a paper towel and water as it still had lipstick on. Dirty and unkept venue, untrained staff, unhygienic standards and a purely unprofessional setting. Only visit if you have no standards of hygiene and professionalism.

We ordered the Mac daddy burger on Uber eats and it came with no top bun, looks nothing like the picture and chips felt like they were a day old. No way of contacting them through Uber eats.

Lovely afternoon at Pub on the Park, basking in the beautiful views from their expansive terrace overlooking London Fields. I've added it to my barguide.london site too!

The roast dinners are nasty my daughter's chicken was raw the beef and pork okay roast potatoes were over salted and tasted like nail polish remover veg is veg yorkshire pudding cold and greasy spoke to member of staff she asked me to wait as she had to give someone a glass of knifes and forks then said she will be back then served other people then came back took the raw chicken plate and said the manager would be over 20 mins later was still waiting got up and left the pub. Very disappointing and had to pay £1 for another bit of gravey so today food cost £64.00 what a bloody waste.

Place is nice because of the lovely polite staff :) !despite it being a busy Friday night - Charged both me and someone I was with- phones behind the bar and were really lovely about it ! Makes the atmosphere feel chill bc of them !

Cute place overlooking the park. We sat outside and had some beers. The Sunday roast looked lovely. Good experience overall.

Food was good, drinks were nice, but the music was absolutely on point on Monday night. Had to ask the bartender who was on aux because they had excellent taste! Beck on the playlist made for a Monday night done right!

Such a nice pub, lovely staff, amazing pulled pork sandwich and 10/10 fries. Only downfall was the terrible mayo. Will be back! Also unbelievably reasonable (and they do the code app if you’re in hospitality). 2 mins from London fields lido and London fields station, v handy!

New payment systems make you select tip amount on a touchscreen before paying with card, even for drinks. This is both incredibly unhygenic as everyone has to touch the same buttons and incredibly frustraiting - please fix this. People can tip if they want but should not be forced to preselect tip amounts

Can be a bit laud at times but good atmosphere and friendly staff... Especially lovely in the summer! I'm told the vegan kale burger was good!

It's OK in here. Not really my type of pub, to be honest, it's more for the young hip crowd.

Firm favourite. Owner has done this gem up well. Don’t be deceived by the outside I. Terms of size. Massive beer garden, cosy bar area, massive downstairs section and cosy house like feeling upstairs. All with good selection of tabs for sporting events. Bar, door staff & manager make this place returnable. Chilled cool vibes from all. Not pretentious or in your face, they just blend in, get the job done and when you get to know them, they’re an asset to the owner and you as an individual. Can’t thank them enough for the many great days and nights I’ve had there. Getting to know staff on first named basis sums up this place. Not even mentioned the banging burgers and nachos and veggie platter is mountainous. Throw in the dh on a Friday and Saturday night who always has the floor filled (sorry I nearly forgot about you) this has everything to offer. Plus even has a mention of my old town.

Nice pub just by London Fields, I went in by myself which can sometimes as a loan female be intimidating. Staff were lovely nice chilled vibe and I spent some time talking about the football over a pint with another customer. Friendlier than some.oubs I've been in.

Friends had hired downstairs function room for wedding reception. I arrived early to help set up, immediately struck by an obnoxious bar staff with a rude attitude. Another staff who showed me the room was kind and helpful. Just before guests arrived, we realised there was broken glass all over the floor - they obviously hadn't prepped or cleaned the room properly. Tables were dirty, we had to clean them ourselves. They did clean up the glass, but guests had arrived by this point, including children. The main speakers weren't working, so they had to give us a portable PA speaker for the speeches and music. They knew the speakers weren't working, didn't bother to inform the organisers beforehand. Buffet food had been ordered in advance, requests had been made to cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, as well as meat. When food came down, none of it was labelled, so nobody had any idea what they could and couldn't eat. The food was average. My friend whose wedding it was went to the pub in person a few days later to raise these issues. The manager responded by gaslighting her about the broken glass, and intimidating her. Really pathetic and shameful. Would not go back here for a pint, let alone trust them to host an event for me. Terrible service on multiple fronts. These pubs in Hackney think they can get away with poor service because they know they will be rammed with customers regardless. Instead of investing in customer experience and satisfaction, this establishement takes its customers for granted and can't even own up to its mistakes. Consider other options if you're looking for a place to host an event.

Good quality place but food and drinks not for me

Pub was half empty but they insisted on serving pints in plastic despite there being about a hundred clean glasses on the shelf. When I asked for a glass the bloke out right refused and couldn't give any good reason why they couldn't serve a pint in a glass at 8pm other than 'it's how we do it and if you don't like it you can go somewhere else'.

Extremely busy Limited seating & worth the wait. Staff worked hard and both the food and drink was great Perfect day out!

Lively place, overfull really. Bar staff proficient and friendly, but the wait and queues were really frustrating. Some ordered food, some was missing.

Nice pub in a good location with a good atmosphere

A good boozer. At times great. Too busy, yuppy magnet (not pubs fault) slinging plastic cups makes it nit ideal later on a sat or friday. Any other time though could easily be a 4. 4.5 back in the day with the bbq going and old friendly staff whod get involved. Beers maintained a good selection over the years.

Not cheap but big venue with great views of London Fields.

Great place to head to if you want some classic american smokehouse food and a good dance. The smoking area is packed during summer full of wonderful and interesting humans, a great place to have very random and beautiful moments of connection. Wouldn’t recommend between 6-10 if you want a chill vibe, but would recommend if you fancy some tunes, munch and vibes !

Update: Fantastic atmosphere on any sunny day- Relaxing amongst trees, eat good food and the view of the park.q

Although this doesn’t relate to to the London, it relates to the outside catering of Atul Kochar’s at ‘Pub in the Park’ Tunbridge Wells, the food was awful, hopefully not a reflection of his restaurant chain?

This was my second time coming to watch f1, the first time was pleasant it was an early 1/2pm race no dj. When people are to watch f1 on a Sunday knock off the dj nobody wants to hear oonts oonts music at full volume on a Sunday night at 7pm when it’s not a bank holiday. Most of us chose to sit outside while it was raining as the music was too much and we had to watch the race without commentary, asked the bar staff whether the dj could have a breather for the final lap so we could hear what was being said we got a firm no, he was djing to 3 mates and an empty room, what a shame. If you specifically coming here to watch f1 I’d recommend going somewhere else.

Visited here on a very hot and sticky Friday night. A little too rough around the edges for me, sticky floors and tacky surfaces. Drinks are overpriced for average quality brands.

I really liked this place and would definitely return. Plenty of outside seating which was ideal for a hot summers day.

Lovely traditional pub by the park. Great place to stop by for lunch on the terrace on the weekend. I was impressed by the vegetarian / vegan options, ordered a veggie burger which was really tasty. My partner also liked his meat burger.

Got our order wrong, everything was extremely bland, very rare that I don't finish food, just wasn't worth eating, then they came round and charged us extra for taking our order wrong! Definitely one of our poorest London food experiences we've had lately

This is a great pub. It's a solid 20 minutes walk from my home but I find myself returning here regularly, at least once a week. Food is very good, buffalo chicken burger has become my go-to, and the kitchen has very generous opening hours. Good views of the park, loads of outdoor seating, plenty of bathroom space. This place can get very busy but during the early afternoon on weekdays it's often quiet enough to sit and read with a pint or several.

Pub with huge outside terraces overlooking London Fields. It's very busy, but it's pretty easy to find a table. They have a good range of beers, several from local breweries.

Plenty of outside space. Super friendly and helpful staff. Great place to stop by when walking through London Fields. Had lunch and found that the Pulled Pork dish with coleslaw and chips was very tasty. The children had hot dogs which were very large, but polished off very quickly. Aspels cider super refreshing on a hot day. Enjoyed our visit.

A short visit to a lovely pub. I was made to think of School canteens of my youth with long tables and benches....Why didn't schools put in a bar ??? Attendance would have rocketed! The Pub on The Park is a bit ramshackled and well worn, I guess because everyone loves it and keeps coming back. Loads of outside seating and more inside that I have not discovered on this visit I suspect. A fare of burgers and hot dogs both carnivorous and veg based to keep those on solids happy. A fine place.
