Sahara Grill in Tower Hamlets

I have been coming to Sahara Grill for years. The level of service has SERIOUSLY dropped. The steak we ordered was large but we didn’t get large. The level of taste has also dropped. What a shame…. We told the waiter who served us he just made up excuse not to do anything about it. What I found absolutely strange was as we ordered the food they demanded the payment to made which is not a problem…. They are quick to take the money… when it comes to a problem it’s all excuses. Such a shame that a lovely restaurant like Sahara Grill has gone down the hill.

I didn’t want to write this review as all the people working there are very polite and professional. I ate here yesterday evening and I had very bad food poisoning. I am certain it was the dynamite shrimps something was off but didn’t think much of it as it was smothered in sauce. My friend that dined with me also had stomache pain and had to take multiple trips to the loo. It can’t be a coincidence that both of us had to experience this. The food quality is not the same as before and the prices have been extorted. I’m sorry I don’t think I’ll be coming Sahara anymore been a loyal customer for many years. Maybe the chef has changed I don’t know but it doesn’t taste as good as before. The lamb shank was also overpowered with too much seasoning and curry spices. Shrimps didn’t taste like dynamite it tastes more like tangy buffalo mixed with a little siracha. Lychee blast was 10/10.

One of the best grill food in the E1 area although I will highly recommend it but there are a few like this aswell, go their give it a go you will definitely not be disappointed as the price for it's food is excellent and reasonable to, atmosphere excellent also the service, top quality food and from my experience the chef's must be good, as the food is cooked with high standards. I will keep going with family, friends, and even solo, lol. Mm, mmm. Don't miss it.

Sahara Grill Whitechapel is truly the original halal steak place and sets the standard for quality and service. The atmosphere is incredibly accommodating, especially if you prefer privacy during your meal. The staff are always so friendly, attentive, and willing to assist with any needs you may have. The food is exceptional! The steak is consistently cooked to perfection and tastes amazing every time. The beef rib is tender, soft, and packed with flavour. Their sides are also consistently delicious and complement the mains perfectly. One of the standout features is that there’s no music, which makes it a peaceful and welcoming environment. It’s a rare gem that feels both high-quality and family-friendly. Sahara Grill is easily my go-to place for a great halal dining experience. Highly recommended!

The manager attentively listened to my requests and ensured that our reservation was handled with the utmost care, creating a delightful experience. Sami, our host, was particularly outstanding—his generosity and assistance were pivotal in making our Christmas celebration a resounding success. I was here with my friends and everything seemed good , but after 24 hours we all ended up in the hospital with food poisoning, I will definitely never return to this restaurant again it's ridiculous with such a big name like Sahara Grill to have brought the food unprepared.

Ordered a rump steak which is usually a thick big cut, but I received a piece smaller than the palm of my hand and it came with a handful of chips. You could literally count all the chips on the plate. 21 quid for that?? Ridiculous sizes and overpriced as hell. Ovoid.

Very disappointed and I write this with a Heavy heart. I have been going to Sahara grill for over 12 years. I have always been a huge fan of the Buffalo wings. Back then, there was hardly any places doing Halal Buffalo wings that tasted Authentic. Recently I have noticed a change in Sahara grills Portion sizes. The prices have gone up gradually but the Portions have reduced massively. It upsets me, as Most of the Workers are respectful practising brothers. The owners are very respectful and seem Religious too. If Owners do happen to read this please fear Allah & Fear Baraqah maybe lost. You have put your prices up but you are trying to reduce portions. Help us to help you. I would pay £11.95 for Buffalo wings if you can promise to give me 10 peices or 5 wings cut in Half. Like I previously mentioned I have been coming here for over a decade. Its always been 5 Buffalo wings with the Option to have it cut in half. If 5 wings are cut in half that makes it 10pcs. Also it used to cost £7.95! Back in the days. But Recently I ordered takeaway and I got 7 pcs and paid £11.95! Thats ridiculous . Im happy to pay the inflation but give me 10pcs of wings. Shepherds pie for Kids was extremely spicy. So it made me Question was the Famous Half chicken used as left over/Chicken not used and revamped into Shepherds pie. Honestly quality is slipping and I dont it will last long. Yours sincerely a once upon a time, Regular loyal customer.

I recently made an order for collection a kids chicken shepherd's pie for my son and the buffalo wings for myself. The kids shepherd pie was awful, not enough of the chicken pie and most of it was covered in sloppy lumpy mash. For a kids meal the shepherds pie was extremely spicy. I got my sister to taste it just for a second opinion and she agreed that was it was too spicy for a kids meal. The buffalo wings we have previously ordered and there has been no issues. We always get ten however this time there was only 6 wings. Over all the buffalo wings are tasty but it’s just annoying when you come home to see they haven’t given the usual amount. Kids shepherds pie could definitely improve.

Even though we didn't book a table, they managed to arrange a walk in for 9 people within 10 minutes which was brilliant. Our food came out in good time, and as always the the food quality is brilliant. Special thank you to Saif who looked after our table, great service!

regular customer here for 7 years but not going back again. I got a main the size of a side the portion size has reduced so much and the prices have gone up I got 5 lamb chops for £22 something but it looked like 2 chops cut to make 5.. they were so thin even a side has more both meals we ordered were tiny portions come on Sahara! they actually have nice tasting food but that’s not enough for a person and I really used to like this place

Amazinggggg service from Jamal and Amir. I had a big booking and they handled it soooo well. They were patient, efficient and on the ball. Our food came out in a timely manner and we were able to pay individually which is a fantastic bonus. Oh and most importantly the food was DELICIOUS!!!!

Had an amazing experience having a dinner with my wife on our anniversary. The food was very nice. I enjoyed every bite of the prawn croquettes, Sahara platter and the Chocolate brownie with Ice cream. Great ambience and had a great service provided by Rasheed. Had a prayer corner to pray after eating making it fully halal.

i was at sahara grill the other day, and i was greeted by manager jabran at the door, we walked in around 8:30ish and got a table after a 5 min wait after scanning the menu we were greeted by a waiter called sulemaan at the table who was our waiter the whole night, gave us the best service we’ve received at sahara grill. Booking for 15 people but got seated in the space of 12. Basically had to elbow each other in the face while eating and sat down really squashed up with each other. T-bone steak was nice. Dynamite shrimps was mouth watering. Other starters was on point. Very smokey inside, need to work more on air circulation. Well trained staff / no mistake on orders for large group. Overall verdict : decent food, bad atmosphere. Even worse seating plan.

Sahara Grill like the old times, we ordered at one Teak, Lamb Filet and Lamb Shank. The food tasted amazing, the meat was done to perfection. Amir was very friendly, welcoming and his service was outstanding. Very happy to be served by Amir. He is an exceptional staff, friendly smile.
