Saints Coffee in Milton Keynes

Food was lovely, staff were extremely slow & dismissive! we waited over an hour for food, glasses were dirty, cutlery was stained! extremely disappointed, will not be returning

The first thing that I noticed was the Sticky Table and the Coffee Stained Menu littered with Crumbs . I left my Partner to use the loo and once again a sticky door . There really is no excuse for this lack of attention to cleanliness especially when the typical disinterested kids that pose as staff are loitering around doing little . We sat down and my partner ordered a flat white and myself a cappuccino . These duly arrived in some old mugs that looked to have come from a charity shop , both were lukewarm and the cappuccino about 50% froth . I ordered a New Yorker Bagel only to be told that at 9am they had ran out of Pastrami and my Partner the Poached Eggs . I settled for Toast on Marmalade and wondered what could go wrong ? Well the Poached Eggs were boiled , had obviously been sitting under a hot plate and were sent straight back . the Toast again was rock hard and had obviously been sitting some time under a Heater . I managed one slice before hastily calling for the bill . I am astounded at the good reviews , the place urgently wants a good clean and the staff some training . The Menu is largely pretentious nonsense , it really was quite poor . Hungry we crossed the road to The Bean and you can read my review over there .

Small food just one bread slice and bit pricy

Despite being a local, we have previously been put off by slow service, today this was not the case as there was only one other customer. The food is nice but feels over priced for what it is. The portion sizes are appropriate (3 pancakes with biscoff) and a small bowl of granola with honey etc but i would suggest are disproportionately priced - almost £10 for the pancakesand and £7.80 for the granola. So for 2 drinks and a 'nothing special' breakfast for 2, it came to over £25 The staff were all lovely, it's dog friendly and a nice environment.

Tried to make a booking,but the phone was switched off and no answer to email as to why.Whats all that about.Will try again tomorrow, and edit this if the phone is answered and I book a table,and eat there. No,this persons phone is switched off-what a working business.

Small food portions for the price. Went with a group of mums and babies and the baby changing facilities were not really fit for purpose - very challenging to use. Service was alright. Wouldn't rush back.

Stopped in for a quick Saturday afternoon lunch. We were promptly greeted at the entrance and told someone would come by to take our order. However, after waiting 10-15 minutes, I had to flag down the waitress myself. Once we received our food, no one checked in on us. After finishing our meal, we wanted to order dessert, but decided not to, as no one came to clear our table, though I could clearly see the waitresses chatting amongst themselves instead of tending to customers. Eventually, I went up to the till to pay due to the poor service.

Probably the best coffee shop and breakfast place in Stony these days. Very good quality, good service, not overpriced.

A nice cosy coffee /cafe, great selection of drinks and a fantastic selection of cakes and bakes. I’d recommend the pancakes they looked delicious and tasted even better.

Nice place, but was refused a proper cup. The girl serving said they could only give me a paper cup as I was in the Vaults bar, and they didn't have enough cups to offer me a real one. I believe it is the same company that own both

It was my first time I tried breakfast at Saints, and it was amazing! The coffee is always great. The staff we friendly and the atmosphere was the best, a nice coffee shop inside the Bull Hotel. Will surely visit again!

Divine chai tea, best in MK with soft foam and cardamom zest.

In a time where most are conscience of how they spend their money. There is little to no value for money with the menu. First and last time eating here. Shocking £9 for two eggs in yogurt with some dill and toast. Never again! The coffee was okay, will go to out of office next time.

It's a flash café! Nicely decorated, quirky but cool. Music is more for the staff than the customers. Menu on the pricey side.

Quite pricey but different and interesting food there. My wife loves it.

Reasonably priced coffee shop in The Bull Hotel. Interesting decor and a friendly atmosphere. Table service means that things may take a little longer at busy times than at other coffee shops.

Gorgeous coffee! The issue I had was with my smoked salmon bagel. One half had the thinnest spread of cream cheese. Smoked salmon nice quality but small pieces cut to fit but I’m used to having the cream cheese as an essential element. Not too thick but enough to be relevant. This cost £9.40!! For goodness sake! When I paid I asked if I could make a comment about this. The response was, ‘when you come next ask for more cream cheese, we won’t charge you’. I know cafe/restaurants work on 70% margins but on the basis of that the ingredients for this should have cost approx: £2.80. To buy at Waitrose pricing it would have cost approx £1! It involved minimal labour time. I know times are hard in hospitality but you need to feel you are getting reasonable value for money.

Love their coffee! They have great food options in the menu. The best thing is they have a small table and some child’s books and toys that means we can drink our coffee uninterrupted 😊

I stayed in the hotel for work I couldn't get breakfast till 8 I waited about to be given a pitiful menu with nothing on there I could eat there was 5 options all of wich was vegetarian not what a working man needs to start his day I asked if there was anything I could eat they said no that's the options

My favourite breakfast spot, the matcha is insaaane too. Always such friendly faces and could sit there for hours reading my book.

Was served by a lovely barista with really cool hair. She gave me some great recommendations and even better coffee art. Will definitely be returning!!!

Lovely tasty food, a different place to meet for coffee and breakfast or brunch. A bit more detail to ensuring tables had everything needed as had to go and find condiments, cutlery, but on the whole worth a visit

The staff was very friendly but I ordered a cappuccino with cinnamon on top and they placed chocolate, when I asked them to change it they removed the chocolate from the top and placed almost half a jar of cinnamon. Very much

Superb experience. I asked for a smoothie with bananas, which were out of stock. I said I was happy to choose an alternative, but was then really touched to discover that one of the staff had taken the initiative to send someone out to get more bananas so that I could have my original request! So thoughtful. The guy who served us was also really friendly, and we loved the decor and atmosphere. We'll be back :)

This place has brought something new and exciting to Stony. Absolutely love it. Friendly service, lovely cakes and coffee. Really enjoyed my cooked breakfast too.

Altogether brilliant! The staff are so nice, cheerful and friendly.

The food is really nice, however it does take a really long time to arrive. It took nearly 50 mins. We have been here before and both times quite a wait. Heads up they don’t do any children food, they will do portions of things but it’s all adult pricing which isn’t great for little ones. The glasses we had for water were dirty from a dishwasher I think?

Very welcoming, very very pleasant atmosphere. Service was excellent and they catered for my special needs.

Extremely mediocre food. Good coffees. Ordered cheese and tomato bagel, expecting additional toppings (as listed on menu), with onions and gherkin and chili jam. But they only delivered cheese and tomato. The attendant behind the till assumed I wanted just tomato and cheese and didn’t ask if I wanted the additional toppings like the menu states. Nobody came to check on us, either, so I never got to amend the issue and I didn’t care enough to go up to complain. Overall, subpar food at high prices with staff that can’t be bothered. Wouldn’t recommend.

A quaint cafe, situated in the heart of Stony Stratford’s High street. A go to for a brunch with friends on a Sunday morning. The food here is great with an option for everyone. The Cafe has a large range of high quality drinks to choose from. If you find yourself walking by Saints on a weekend, pop in a try their range of cocktails.

This is my favorite coffee place in Milton Keynes. It’s pretty and cozy, the service is efficient and super friendly, fantastic coffee and food. I found out they are now starting to do some monthly events too and I look forward to going to one next week (pizza and cocktails!). Recommended!

Unfortunately me and my friend and I had a bad experience with cold coffees with no spoon or cream/ milk. For the price we would expect much better. We haven't gone back. Maybe we were too old or didn't wear the right uniform. Who knows.

Coffee was good, 15 min before order was taken, then a long wait to get 1 tea, a coffee and 1 cake.

Lovely little coffee shop. Coffee is just like warm, though, and it does take some time to get it, but I am happy to wait. Quite a newish set-up, and I think things will improve given time.

I love this little gem. All very delightful. Went for lunch food good, but the environment was uncomfortably cold. Kept coat, hat and scarf on. Appreciate its an old building but please look at heating, it’s put me off coming in the winter months. Maybe some blankets and heating bean bags .

Not matching pictures of the dishes as they show on google. The cutlery was dirty. They had no teaspoons available for drinks. We had bought some pancakes and they suppose to have a cream but when received it had no cream. Food not good- did not reach expectations.

Extremely disappointing. I used to visit Saints in Northampton and it was always a great experience. - The ignorart waiteress was not willing to sit anybody.. and turned few customers in front of us while some tables were available - Waiting time was disaster - 60 min for eggs which we finally had too raw, even croissants took 30 min - no pancakes which we came for - asked water but never got it... Will not come again and don't recommend.

Set on the High Street in Stony Stratford is this cozy little “watering hole” a quaint little coffee shop serving light brunches and sandwiches. Sadly the service leaves much to be desired. (Hint to the owner/manager) it is imperative to acknowledge new clients (I appreciate you are busy, but I appreciate your acknowledgment more, and then I will happily wait 20min to place my order. That is the reason for the two star deduction. However you saved yourself …. The coffee is a good quality. I ordered a Hazelnut Latte and was presented a beautiful blend of coffee with a satisfying “hint” of hazelnut (not horrifically sweet like Costa/Starbucks). The breakfast arrived and was beautifully presented, I ordered the Benedict Royale with Smoked Salmon and it was divine! The home baked bread and generous serving of Smoked Salmon were perfectly matched with fresh baby spinach and a tangy and creamy hollandaise sauce ~ tantalising! My partner ordered the Sweet Cheeses it was beautiful. Slight bite from the sweet chilli with delicious cheese on the perfectly toasted fresh bread. The food was wonderful…. Then we waited 20min … before having to get up and ask for the bill. Work on your attentiveness and customer attention and you will exact 5 stars. While we were there two tables in our area complained about the lack of attention and one lady complained to the waitress AND walked out. Very bad for business!

Thought I'd try this coffee shop. Ordered a Latte and a Croissant, Latte was delicious, creamy and smooth. Asked to have the Croissant warmed up as it's how I like mine. Gentleman made a fuss and said they were done in the oven earlier, so I walked out with a cold one. Also, you should keep food covered from insects and the general public. That's basic food hygiene 101! With 5+ coffee shops to choose from on the high Street, this is the kind of thing that closes coffee places in Stony Stratford. I wouldn't go again because of this..

Fantastic coffee shop! Wonderful fresh food, specialty coffee and very friendly staff. Exactly what Stony has been missing. Also a gorgeous place for an evening cocktail at the weekend. The only place I go now for my caffeine fix!

Great specialty coffee, delicious food with generous portions. I had the avo and egg on toast with beans and bacon added and that hit the spot after a morning on the bike. The decor was well done and the ambience was perfect for a lazy Saturday brunch.

Great to see a place with a bit of variety from the usual sandwich fillings. The food was excellent and nicely presented. Despite it being busy on a Saturday lunchtime, the food arrived within 15 minutes. Staff were polite, very friendly and helpful, even splitting a large Oreo milkshake into two glasses for our kids. For the people who left a one star comment, I’d recommend giving it another try. It seems like your comments have been listened to and action to improve has been taken. Will definitely be visiting again next time we are over in Stony Stratford.

We thought we’d give the new saints coffee a try after really enjoying our trip to the one in Northampton and was very disappointed with the service we received. Before ordering we were told that the wait would be half an hour which wasn’t an issue, despite them not being overly busy nor having a complex menu. We checked on our order after 45 minutes had passed as other people who came in after us received their food and were told it would be 5 minutes. This was another stretch of the truth as another 15 minutes passed and still nothing with very little apology or explanation about this, one of the things we ordered was a bagel, which didn’t require any element of cooking. We ended up leaving after over an hour wait, we would’ve stayed for longer but they weren’t very hospitable about accommodating us and this long wait and had lost faith in their capability of accurately stating how long a wait actually would be. I cannot comment on the food but the service was 1 star at most.

What a fantastic way to use the space of the old pub! It gets a new life as a gem of a coffee shop.
