Sherbrooke Castle Hotel Restaurant in Glasgow City

Cute hotel located in a historic castle. It’s a bit outside of the city center in a quiet neighborhood but makes for a peaceful stay. My friend and I shared a suite and it was quite large. The bathrooms were also quite luxurious and there’s a tub as well as shower. They have free breakfast if you book directly with them, but since we booked it through the Capital One portal, we didn’t have that. The keys themselves are physical keys (not keycards). The front desk is nice and even though there wasn’t a water bottle filling station, they filled them up for us. They were able to hold onto our baggage after we checked out while we explored the area.

Great clean room with an excellent secure place to stay. Bar/ restaurant is comfy and cozy.

Excellent stay in a very peaceful neighborhood. Staff was wonderful and kind and also got us into our room 2 hours early after a very long day of travel. The afternoon tea, supper, and breakfast the next morning were among the best meals I’ve ever had. Can’t recommend this location enough.

Sherbrooke is our wedding venue, based on our visit we decided to book it! We stayed 2 weeks ago, and the food was incredible! We had lunch there, and it was unreal. Absolutely delicious! The prices reflect this, but it's worth it. The staff as others have said are amazing, a credit to the business and I only hope they are being celebrated because they are a huge part of what attracted us to choosing Sherbrooke as our venue! Breakfast was also delicious, the fruit could have been a little fresher? But can't fault anything else, and may be due to the time of year? Our room was a garden suite, as others have said I would agree that folks would pay more to stay in the hotel even if the garden/cottage room amenities are on par. The bed was hard/could have been comfier, and the room a bit run down although I believe the hotel does refresh the rooms over the winter each year, and we visited end of September. Overall as I said, nothing about our experience put us off choosing Sherbrooke as our wedding venue, and the staff/food are standout, but there are some aspects which I see others have fed back to management that I think Sherbrooke would benefit from addressing. I hope this feedback is fair! Edit: I'd also love to shout out the wedding coordinators Claire and William, both can't do enough to help you, and make wedding planning much less stressful!

This is a great place to stay if you are on a spooky October trip. The lobby is filled with creepy old paintings but also has a cosy Scottish autumnal vibe. The room was gorgeous but there was definitely a ghost hanging out in there. Flicking lights like crazy, etc. I could tell when we pulled up that this place was haunted from the energy it gives off. Otherwise, it was a very cool stay and the staff was welcoming :)

Immaculate rooms, from the furnish to the modern comforts and little touches. Good food, good service, and all the old world charm you'll ever need. Worth every penny

Staying for 2 nights and arriving late we decided to book a meal; so glad we did it was as good as anywhere we’ve ever eaten before. That is saying something when you consider we are talking London, Tokyo, Sydney etc. So good in fact that instead of looking elsewhere for the second night we booked again. We were served by a young man who was so very personable and took pride in his work. Traits you don’t find too often these days; he will go far in life!

I eat here a lot but have never written a review. The place is grand and elegant but family friendly with a great menu of main meals and lighter bites. This is a mainstay of establishments my friends, family and I enjoy eating and socialising in. The staff are warm, friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The food is outstanding, not cheap, but I’d say represents good value for money. I never mind paying more for decent food in good surroundings. I would highly recommend the afternoon tea which is plentiful and beautifully presented, as indeed are all the dishes. Portion sizes are excellent and often I have no room for dessert! It’s a really lovely place on the outskirts of the city just off the M8 and M74. Very accessible and has a good amount of parking. I highly recommend it.

Nice large room with a good location. However, there were 3 of us, and the sofa bed was rather uncomfortable, and we were charged an extra £55 for the use of it

Arrivés dans notre location en fin de journée, c'est notre logeur qui nous a conseillé ce restaurant qui sert "tard" (oui, 20h30 en Ecosse, c'est tard !). Nous vous laissez pas intimider par le cadre. C'est un dans un hôtel très "classe", à l'ancienne. Il n'y avait pas de menu affiché à la porte mais leur site internet est à jour. Le cadre est très cosy, feutré. Personnel en "tenue". Mais les plats sont très abordables. Nous avons payé 64 livres pour un fish and chips (énorme), une assiette de côtelettes d'agneau (très bien cuites) avec des légumes très bien cuisinés, un dessert et 2 verres de vin. Vraiment rien à redire ! Le bar, où des clients de l'hôtel sirotaient un cocktail, est aussi très joli et les prix très corrects. Le réceptionniste nous a permis de visiter l'hôtel qui est au final petit mais très élégant. C'est donc une table assez intimiste que nous conseillons

Wedding 2024🤍 We got married in June and had the most amazing day. The wedding coordinators (Claire and William) were a great support from the first time we met them at an open day right through to our big day, they always got back to any of our queries and made time to meet us to discuss any of our plans. Our wedding day itself ran perfectly and the guests commented on the food and service. Having visited a few venues we are so happy we picked Sherbrooke, it was a great location for guests traveling and so many picture opportunities throughout the grounds and around the castle itself. We can’t recommend Sherbrooke castle enough to any couples planning their wedding (or anyone looking to visit in general as food & rooms are fab)! Wedding planning can be stressful but having the support of a great team of wedding coordinators makes a huge difference ❤️

We celebrated our 55th Wedding Anniversary & my Wife's 80th Birthday on the 31st May in The Sherbrook Castle Hotel, we had Afternoon Tea for 3 in their beautiful dining room. The Tea, Sandwiches, Scones & Cakes were a delight, having informed the hotel about our celebrations the Chef made up 2 plates of Strawberries dipped in Chocolate with Happy Birthday and Anniversary written in Chocolate round the plates, this was a little extra that was greatly appreciated by us. We will return to the Sherbrook Castle at a later date to sample some of their other delights. Thank you, Mary & Campbell Porter.

I loved the castle hotel for the quiet area, 24 hour bar, Martin the night bartender/front desk/cook was very helpful on recommendations for glasglows shops, and nice dinner meals. The room was nice and a beautiful view from the windows of the local area. Much nicer than downtown and more quaint.

Wow……. the best day ever at the most awesome hotel! We just celebrated our wedding at Sherbrooke Castle Hotel on 23rd March 2024 and we could not have chosen a better venue. From the day we first stepped into the hotel, it felt like the hotel was giving us a hug and, we knew it was the right place for us. Throughout our 13 month planning the hotel events team could not have been more helpful and really helped make our day incredible. On our big day, every member of the hotel staff went above and beyond and helped make all our guests feel incredibly welcomed and loved. I need to mention, William, our Wedding Planner! William was absolutely incredible throughout the entire weekend. Nothing was too much trouble and we were both treated like royalty the entire weekend. Thank you! Our wedding meal was outstanding! Chicken Balmoral was “awesome”, as our 13 year old nephew said!! We also need to mention the bread! Apparently the best bread that our guests have ever tasted. A big thank you to the chef and all his staff for the most delicious food throughout our day/stay! For the evening reception we used the Hotel recommend DJ. Chris was absolutely amazing and ensured that the dance floor was full throughout the entire night! A special mention to the night porter who was kept rather busy with the celebrations carrying on throughout the night!!! We both had the best day ever, at the best hotel ever and we just want to thank say a big “Thank You” to the whole Sherbrooke Castle Team xx

Smaller than expected and a large hill to walk up. Was very quaint and cosy. Would be lovely in the summer to sit outside in the outdoor area. We had junior suite which was spacious. Bed and pillows were hard but ok if that's what you like. Bathroom was big with shower and bath but bring your own toiletries as they only have very small ones. Room service menu was very limited. Restaurant food was nice as were staff. Rooms serviced every day and hotel and rooms were warm. Train and bus stop very near and has a busy road outside.

Just spent the wk end at the Sherbrooke Castle Hotel for a family wedding. There was nothing that could be faulted from beggining to end. Staff were superb and would do anything for you. Would definately recommend to everyone.was a 5star stay

We had a glorious and wonderful time. Like a theme park for my soul. Your staff made my wife and I feel Like a Lord and a Lady of the castle. That is why we changed our plans after our business trip to London and came back 'home' to Sherbrooke Castle for another 4 days. The food was exquisite from a chef's perspective and the waitstaff was phenomenal also. Having stayed in 368 places in the last 20 years, your staff, food and facilities should be a text book for anyone working in the Hospitality industry. Thank You so Much!

I live close to the Sherbrooke Castle Hotel in Pollokshields. Last night my partner and I attended a concert at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. After the concert we drove home in time to catch a nightcap at the Sherbrooke Castle Hotel lounge bar. We arrived at the bar at exactly eighteen minutes to eleven and asked for two drinks. The bar lounge was fairly busy. The guy in charge of the bar who sported a very long beard, informed us that unless we were residents he would not serve us a drink as he had already tallied up his till. He was quite brash in his manner. The public bar should have been open until 11pm. It only closes to the public when there is a private event on. It is really bad form that a member of staff can call time on a bar when he feels like it. There was also no need for his bad attitude. Hopefully the hotel management will sort this situation out and provide consistent opening times in line with what is advertised.

My husband and I stayed here for two weeks during our trip home to visit family, and the hospitality we received from the staff was superb. Collette at the front desk was friendly and always met us with a smile and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. She booked us into a Garden Suite room, which was quiet, clean, and comfortable. The restaurant is open all day, so you can always get a bite to eat if you're hungry, and the food was lovely. The wait staff was attentive and friendly, especially Yann, who took extra good care of us during our stay. We saw the owner of the hotel almost every morning as well, and in my experience, you always know it's a good place when the proprietor is on the grounds, ensuring everything runs smoothly. The Sherbrooke Castle Hotel will always be my first choice when choosing a place to stay in Glasgow - 5 Stars!

The castle is located in a wonderful area of Glasgow, with wonderful houses and gardens. The castle itself is a dream! With tartan carpeted floors and an interieur that is simply mind-blowing. The staff was very friendly, both the lads who were our waiters in the restaurant were exceptionally nice and made us feel very welcome. Yann is a treasure. The food is unbelievably tasty, made with lots of love and arranged beautifully. I wish we had stayed longer, we'd have definitely gone for dinner here again. The highlight of our stay in Scotland!

Great to eat in 'The Library' where our dog was allowed to join us - he stayed on the floor rather than having a seat to himself!

Visited today with my daughter for afternoon tea. Disappointed overall with food and service. We were seated and ordered our champagne, within minutes the food was brought to our table. We had not discussed what type of tea we would prefer or if we had any dietary requirements. We had to ask to change the egg sandwiches and request Assam tea. The tea was delivered but we had a long wait for the sandwiches. When we came to taste the scones, they were brick hard with a white bloom inside which indicates staleness. They were taken away to be replaced. The tea was now cold by this time but not once were we asked if we would like some fresh. Overall a disappointing visit, only 2 staff serving and also it would have been nice to have some festive music playing in the background.

We had a lovely family party for our Aunt’s 90th Birthday celebration at the weekend. The team at Sherbrooke were fantastic, and looked after us superbly, and the food was delicious. Absolutely recommend!

Terrible experience!! Stay away if there is a wedding on! Arrived on Easter Sunday for dinner and was advised that restaurant didn’t open until 6pm. At 6pm we tried to order food and we’re advised that they wouldn’t be able to serve us for dinner until 8pm. Meanwhile between 5pm and 6pm we were offered menus to choose. Waiting 4 hours for dinner is crazy with very little communication from staff. Staff were unhelpful and avoided talking to us at any point. Big let down!!

I attended a wonderful wedding reception with dear friends and the day was perfect apart from one small niggle!!! After a beautiful meal, our waiter was serving tea and coffee to our table and when I asked if I could have a cup of green tea instead, I was informed that he was only serving breakfast tea and that I couldn’t have green tea. When I asked him again if it was possible, he motioned with his head and stated I should go to the bar area and find one there. I left my table in pursuit of the nodded direction and came to reception whereby I asked the pleasant young lady where I could find a cup of green tea. She said it would be no problem, asked where I was sitting in the function room and instructed it would be brought right over. I thanked her and returned to my table. Green tea was brought promptly to the table by the aforesaid waiter and I thanked him. He stood back and said “that’ll be £2.75 please.” At first I and others at the table thought he was joking but he insisted it was”loose leaf green tea” and it required payment. It was promptly paid by my husband but I’m shocked that green tea is valued as such an unusual commodity in today’s wide variety tastes.

We visited here today for the first time, my partner had booked us in for my birthday lunch and it was honestly one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The castle itself is beautiful and the staff were so friendly. I’d recommend this place to everyone :)

All I can say is never look any further than Sherbrooke hotel Glasgow for accommodation. The food was of excellent quality and also the staff were very attentive. The management should be proud on the high standards on offer and excellent value for money. We have stayed in Glasgow many times and in much higher priced hotels, but no where near the quality and service the hotel provided. Fabulous.

We stayed at the Sherbrooke for two nights and had two excellent, freshly cooked breakfasts and two very enjoyable dinners, choosing from an interesting menu....cannot fault eating at the Sherbrooke...

Fabulous room, service and food, (breakfast and dinner). Will definitely be our fist choice when next visiting Glasgow!

Brought my grandchildren 8 & 6 for hot chocolate on Friday 18th December. We waited no exaggeration 15 minutes to be served by a surly waiter who clearly could not be bothered with us. The receptionist apologised 3 times at the length of time we waited to be served. I asked what cakes they had to offer for the kids and was told only fruit loaf. How boring is that in a 4 star hotel. When asked what about those little cakes pointing to the table that had 5 people having afternoon tea we were told we couldn’t have 2 little cakes as we weren’t having the afternoon tea. So it was hot chocolate on it’s on. It wouldn’t have hurt them to do a small nice gesture to 2 little kids and give them a nice wee cake. Rude abrupt waiter. Tall slim and bald. You know who you are.

Stayed here for 3 nights out of 10 in Scotland and it served the best food out of the 3 hotels we stayed in.

Complying with Covid rules etc our friends came up from Ayrshire to meet us for lunch. Although the hotel and restaurant are on our doorstep we had not visited for a while. We were delighted to find that the menu was a bit more extensive and catered for light meals as well as normal lunch. There was a good selection of Scottish produce and we all enjoyed our meals. The chef is obviously talented and the serving staff were friendly and attentive.. We will certainly be back again in the near future.

Maybe i expected too much from this landmark Dated decor, needs a refurb esp in the bar area and the barman needs a new uniform It was flithy and i felt i was in faulty towers Thankfully we were only there for a quick drink Very dissapointed as i expected much more

We recently enjoyed roast dinners on an Itison deal. This was good value although it has to be said that meat was sliced extremely thinly. Everything was cooked very well and service friendly and efficient. Crab starter and souffle were excellent. Venue was very busy on a Sunday night and surroundings are pleasant.

Had a lovely afternoon tea here with my friend last week. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Glass of fizz, beautiful sandwiches, scones & cakes & endless cups of coffee. Would definitely recommend. We also received great service. Hopefully be back again soon.

We had a lovely stay at the Sherbrooke , very nice area of Glasgow and plenty of free parking . We had 2 rooms hoth comfortable and warm . Shower was good .

Loved Glasgow and loved staying in this hotel. The best praise I can give it is that we will be returning next year. We stayed in a Junior Suite which had a bed as big as an ocean liner, proper coffee machine, bathrobes and slippers, huge bath tub and big shower. Bed comfortable and a room which was a pleasure to wake up it. Room also nice and warm, considering the size. I really can’t think of anything negative to say. Needless to say the staff were lovely. That’s all folks!

We stayed in the Hotel for 3 nights, and ended up eating in the restaurant for 3 nights for a variety of reasons. 2 of our meals were very good, the middle one wasn't as good, although nothing worthy of complaint. The staff were very helpful and friendly and gave a good, personal service. We enjoyed it, although the bills were quite high!

Two members of our party were married at the Sherbrooke. The appetizers were supplied by the Hotel Restaurant as was the dinner after the ceremony. It was here that I first tasted haggis - haggis bon bons (delicious) and haggis in filo pastry with mash and neeps (I'll let you figure that out). The dinner was excellent and enjoyed by all. Going by that I would say that the restaurant was excellent and would go there again.

Visitamos regularmente el hotel Sherbrooke Castle, ya que está en la puerta y la comida en el restaurante siempre es excelente. Me puse en contacto con el hotel buscando una mesa para dos en el restaurante. Se informó que sí, había una mesa para dos disponible en el restaurante para 1945. Llegamos a 1940 para que nos dijeran que nos estaban llevando a una pequeña mesa en una alcoba de la biblioteca. Cuando dije que habíamos reservado una mesa en el restaurante y que no queríamos colocarlo en lo que en realidad era un armario, me dijeron que no había mesa en el restaurante. Tanto mi esposa como yo no solo estábamos decepcionados, sino que la actitud no era buena. Sin disculpas por el desorden de la reserva. Nos fuimos y, a pesar de ser visitantes habituales del hotel, esto me ha hecho reconsiderarlo como un lugar que usaríamos nuevamente.

Más pequeña pero con clase y tranquila. Bastante informal pero no un pub. Decente carta de vinos para Escocia. Niza Albari o. Haggis de cajón superior en salsa phylo y whisky. Los platos principales fueron salmón escocés fresco - horneado con una salsa de crema ligera y cebolleta y cebolla picada y papas chamuscadas. Hecho en la premisa de bistec y pastel de ale con pastelería ligera y papas fritas.

Realmente disfruté el menú de 3 platos que era de muy buena calidad y excelente valor. Los langostinos y el salón tempura fueron excelentes.

Lovely hotel located in the southside of Glasgow - train link to the city centre a 3 minute walk away. Food freshly prepared at very reasonable prices - the fish and chips are excellent! Nice lounge bar for relaxing - set in a very pleasant environment. Staff are attentive - even when busy! Afternoon Tea looks a tasty treat! Well done!

I was treated to afternoon Tea at this beautiful Hotel for mother’s day by my kids. From the minute you entered the reception you were made to feel like a VIP. Great effort was put into every detail and attention. The food was delicious and the service excellent. So much effort was made by the staff to make our visit enjoyable. We only visited the restaurant and did not stay overnight.

Después de haber visitado el Sherbrooke un par de veces desde que mi esposa se casó aquí (hace algunos años) siempre me devuelve la nostalgia. La comida en el restaurante es como siempre de primera categoría y el personal es amable y servicial, tengo la sensación de que podrías pedir cambiar casi cualquier cosa sobre tu comida y se esforzarán al máximo para probar y acomodar. El asado del domingo fue bueno con verduras en el costado, ¡pero el paquete de haggis para comenzar fue increíble! El desayuno es bueno ya que tiene las opciones escocesas europeas y calientes estándar.

The food was delicious😉 . The prices were very reasonable. ☺ They also have a bar inside the restaurant.

Went to the Sherbrooke for dinner one Saturday night. The restaurant had a lovely ambience and the waiting staff were particularly friendly and efficient. Although there wasn't a big choice on the set menu, the food was beautifully presented and very tasty. Hope to make a return visit.

No mucha gente tiene la oportunidad de cenar en un castillo, aunque sea bastante modesta pero muy por encima de las propiedades locales. El personal es amable y el menú tiene suficiente para mantenerte interesado en muchas más visitas. Los cuatro disfrutamos de cada plato, pero para mí el pastel de bistec y ale fue exquisito. La lista de vinos estaba bien y el precio en línea con la mayoría de los restaurantes del hotel, así que no hay problema. Estoy seguro de que volveremos.

Tenía nuestras hijas 21 celebración de cumpleaños en la calle aquí anoche. Desde que lo organizaron hace varias semanas y en la misma noche, el personal fue más allá de cualquier establecimiento que haya visitado en el área local. Organizaron 2 especiales para nuestro grupo para un par de comilones exigentes, no es lo más fácil, estoy seguro que cuando se ejecutan 2 menús con menú a la carta y festivo disponible, lo que nos permite elegir cualquier menú. La comida y el servicio impecable y el restaurante y el hotel encantador. No podría haber sido mejor. Todos pasamos una noche agradable y esperamos volver en un futuro próximo. Brought my sister here for a birthday treat. The hotel is very impressive from the outside, a handsome building. There was a wedding on that day, and the piper was playing them bagpipes as we entered, which was lovely. It was a Beautiful autumn day which made the setting really nice. The car park is quite tight & there is only one disabled parking bay, but there is plenty of street parking nearby.

Staying in the area for one night and on walking around, came across this very impressive place.

We visited the hotel for dinner with friends and as always the food was excellent. Our friends had not eaten in the restaurant before and were impressed. Sadly, though the experience was marred by the fact that we had to battle our way past about 8 smokers who had congregated at the main entrance steps. They barely moved to allow us to leave the hotel and the fact that we had to negotiate the dense cigarette smoke spoiled what was otherwise an enjoyable night. This has been brought to the hotel management's attention before but they seem indifferent or unwilling to stop this. Guests entering or leaving the hotel should not be exposed to this, particularly those for whom cigarette smoke can trigger breathing issues. So come on Sherbrooke, do something about it.

We were there for the wedding open day which we thoroughly enjoyed, the canapes were awesome...We decided to stay for lunch which four out six of our dinners decided was rather disappointing when compared against the rest of our Sherbrooke experience. Our daughter had already booked the venue for her 2019 wedding...The lunch episode has been put to the side as all wedding reviews are all glowing regarding the food served on the day.. My choice was from the Al a carte menu , Chicken tikka masala, which was a bit bland to my taste .Putting it down as a blip and looking forward to my daughter's special day in a lovely baronial location .Roll on 2019.

Fuimos para bebidas y aperitivos después de un funeral. La selección de sándwiches, salados y dulces fueron excelentes. Complementado con un buen servicio de bar, parece ser un lugar que atiende muy bien a los eventos.

We enjoyed an excellent dinner at the Sherbrooke Castle Hotel.Menu was excellent and service first class.As usual we were last to leave but staff were not bothered.A great location for midweek dinner or weekends

If staying in the hotel it is convenient to use the Restaurant. The food and service is very good. The room is fitting the hotel and surroundings.

Wonderful stay at the Sherbrooke Castle Hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Kirsten and William. They ensured our Castle stay was exceptional. They were able to change our room into the castle (property has three locations so ensure you request castle if possible). Rooms are very large, contemporary and updated. Beautiful. Easy transportation to city center, but feel of seclusion at hotel.

Really disappointing meal. Average Food, noisy dining room, service was good. Booked this to celebrate our anniversary which when booking I made hotel aware of, would have been nice if they would have recognized this even with a congratulations. My starter and mains had were not up to restaurant quality. Wouldn't rush back.

Nice mix of traditional foods and modern presentation. Great Haggis, wonderful fish and chips, a fine proper pink fish.

Great ambiance, excellent food and top notch service. Can recommend the minestrone soup and seafood linguini. I’ve eaten lunch here many times so this as the first evening meal and will repeat again.

Had an excellent afternoon tea here this afternoon with family. Staff were all pleasant and helpful and the meal itself was delicious - plus the portion size was more than plenty for us all with a good selection of coffees and teas to choose from. All the food was great...haggis, salad, butternut squash soup.. Steak, pan fried sea bass..perfectly cooked, delightful Argentinian merlot.

Vinimos para almorzar después de asistir a un día de boda abierto aquí. La comida era genial y tenía una parcela de pollo suprema haggis para mi comida principal. Personal muy atento y donde realmente amable. Después té parecía estupenda de lo que pude ver. Sin duda volveremos.

Fuimos para Navidad almuerzo y me decepcionó que estaba en una gran sala de actos y no como formal como esperaba. Sólo un masivo producido comida, listo para ir. No £75 por cabeza es barata, así que me decepcioné cuando solicite un desierto lácteos gratis y recibido una tienda compramos merengue con bayas y helado de soja como no solicitado. Realmente, es fácil hacer merengue y comprar helado de soja por lo menos. El entrante y plato principal estamos bueno y agradable té/café con petit fours pero no vuelva por Navidad u otros como todos un poco cansados. Personal encantador! !

Everything we ordered was delicious and the plates were filled to overflowing. None of us wanted to leave anything on the plate because it was just so good--but we had to ultimately admit defeat. Lovely vegetables, amazing bread, delicious cheeses . . .

I had a lovely afternoon lunch and thought all of the staff were warm and welcoming with a particular mention to Eddie on reception, however all staff were exceptionally friendly. The food was delicious, my particular favourites being the Hake and the praline creme brûlée. I would certainly recommend in the future.

El Hotel Sherbrooke Castle Restaurante es un edificio impresionante en una ubicación magnífica, en el suburbio de Pollockshields; los alrededores son elegantes y confortables. La comida es de buena calidad, con una amplia gama de opciones. Se especializan en cocina tradicional escocesa a precios competitivos; el filete de cordero era excelente, con puré de guisantes y acuñaron acristalamiento. También tienen platos italianos como black olive gnocchi y ansotti alla genovese - un tipo de enorme ravioli. Encontrar buena comida en Glasgow no es fácil, pero este restaurante no podía ser criticada.

Stayed in the hotel for a night with my wife and ate in the hotel restaurant, the choice of food was excellent and the helpings were more than enough, really helpful and friendly staff. we really enjoyed our meal and can't wait to go back

Some of the best food experienced outside of London. Great choice, quality, ingredients, the volume just right and the most pleasant, human (not faceless automatons) service you can imagine.

Decided to have lunch here as were in the area. Breaded pork with toamato pasta ok,seafood linguine and panna cotta very good. The orange creme brûlée with chocolate and lemon biscuit was nice but was puzzled as biscuit was stuck to top of brûlée- couldn't get into the brûlée unless you took biscuit off thus lifting the crunchy caramelised sugar with it. Would be better with smaller biscuit on the side... Staff friendly and attentive. Interesting building as are a lot of the large villas in the area.

The smoked salmon appetizer set the tone for an outstanding meal. The fish and chips was perfect. The chicken and haggis a delight! The desserts were amazing! And the cappuccino was a work of art!

I had only ever previously been at the Sherbrooke during social events with my alma mater, St Aloysius' College. Having eaten in most places in the southside I thought it was about time to give the Sherbrooke's restaurant a try. Our starters were good. My mums only suggestion for improvement was that the egg be served with some bread or toast. Main courses were delicious. I had supreme of chicken which was infused with sun dried tomatoes and veg. Particularly high marks for drinks. My mum does not drink alcohol and therefore really appreciates when Diet Coke is served ice cold. Likewise, the glass bottles were a nice touch. Service was prompt and the serving staff were friendly. Surroundings nice.

Nestled in a quiet neighborhood is Sherbrooke castle. Food is wonderful and reasonably priced. We greatly enjoyed high tea and I especially loved the met in your mouth lemon mousse. Staff are very friendly. For dinner the chicken was delicious. The seafood linguini had a lot of fish.
