Spice Palace in North Tyneside

Just had the misfortune of ordering from these jokers. Main course missing, the rest was stone cold. Had tastier Bombay bad boys. Avoid like the plague.

This is the best takeaway we have had from anywhere in ages.Faultless! The curry and rice were so fragrant,lovely to find cardamom and other whole spices! Really tasty.We have tried loads of different takeaways but this is far superior to any others we have tried.

Last night we lost any confidence in this takeaway and have subsequently reported Spice Palace to environmental health services. We ordered couple of pizzas and regular indian food only to find a special guest (like a cockroach type critter) cooked into the cheese on the top of one of the pizzas. Thank god we saw the critter and stopped our children from eating some of the pizza. Contacted the shop and the lad mocked when i mentioned the critter and said he'd make a new pizza completely disregarding the fact that he had(by his own admission) cooked the pizza with the critter himself. I demanded a full refund and returned all food mostly unopened and the staff tried to insinuate that i (as a customer) had put it there with the stock phrase "wasnt there when i boxed it up" "never had a complaint like this" Only refunded when i said i would be going to environmental health. Safe to say we won't be returning anytime soon. Good luck with environmental health services 👍

Ordered takeaway to be picked up when I got home order was incomplete. Went back and collected rest. Things do get missed so give it another chance. Went into shop to order , fairly busy so waited a while, when order came from the kitchen it was incomplete. Young man apologised and went to get it sorted, free of charge. I said quite happy to pay. Older man came out saying I had not ordered it and would have to pay the extra. I had the extra money already in my hand, which I showed him and said I was happy to pay. He was very rude and quite aggressive. Won’t be returning .

Delivery on time food was hot Balti had no taste everything was so salty had to drink a lot of water afterwards

First time this week after being recomended by friends absolutely beautiful had a few bad curries lately but this is my curry house from now on 👍👍

Love love this place . The meat thali is lovely . The curries are to die for . I’ve tried all of the meals and can not fault at all . The delivery drivers are lovely and the staff are lovely . I would defo recommend 100% . The meat is so tender . I was never really a lover of curry until I started ordering from here and now I love the curries xx

I have been using this take away for years I always get good service and I always get good food. The staff are friendly and if you want something specific they will do their best to give you exactly what you want.

I have been a regular here since it opened. I ordered some food to collect. They missed half of it off the order. I only realised when I got home. I phoned up and explained this the man who answered the phone was just plain rude and told me he could drop the rest off in a couple of hours. I told him obviously the rest would be cold by then. He said just come back , he then said next time you come in I will just do you a free starter. That’s great just ruin my tea and expect me to be happy. His attitude was shocking he did not care. I won’t be going back! The food is not as good as it once was either.

This is a take away not a restaurant but it is the best take away i have been in curry wise. The food arrives hot and it is delicious.

We have ordered from Spice palace over the past year and it has became the only Indian Takeaway we use! The prices (especially when they alert you of s special offer) are fantastic and the food has never disappointed. The food is always on time and piping hot. Staff are very friendly. Banquet meal is 100% value for money and cannot beat their masala sauce - so nice!! Well worth a try :)

Never had a bad meal. Staff always polite and cheerful. So authentic and enjoyable food at reasonable prices.

Really gorgeous meal, I did want pilau rice cooker in veg oil rather than ghee but they said their pilau came pre cooked in ghee so I had to have boiled rice. Other than that a lovely meal.

Best Indian takeaway in Wallsend. Wraps are delicious and lovely hot spicy currys! Would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Tried several curries trying to find one that didn't require me to coat my mouth in wax beforehand. Unfortunately Spice Palace must have replaced the chef they used to have because even the jalfrezi is as hot as you would expect from a vindaloo. The last one I had, had to go in the bin as it was like eating a bag of hellfire chillies. We rang to complain and were advised that, that was how the chef cooks his curries. They would not accept that medium curries should be exactly that. A shame as used to use this place all the time, it only takes the chef to leave for a place to go downhill.

We usually use this takeaway when we are looking for Indian food. The service though is hit and miss. They have 2 phones so often when you call they answer but talk to another customer while you wait which I consider strange. The food is always lovely however often parts of the order are missed. We generally order a meat thali which is supposed to come with a mango chutney and unless u remind them when ordering this is generally missed. I used this takeaway yesterday and the keema naan was missing, we collected the food and it was only warm so to drive back to pick up a naan wasnt really an option. I called to advise them of their error but the person who dealt with me didn't offer an apology and just said i could collect it or add it to my order next time. I appreciate it was a busy Saturday night however an apology would have gone along way.

Have been using this take away for a number of years , food in general of good quality and of reasonable value in particular the set meals

my partner and i always use spice palace for our indian take away. so much so i get regular texts through on my phone with discounts. very bad i know, but there lamb curry is tasty tender. rice is always flavourful and nan breads are light and well done. no stodgyness at all. tthe mix kebebs are very good too.
