We had a great overnight stay. The hotel is in a super location, the staff were brilliant, the room was clean and smart. Breakfast was super and all this for a very reasonable price. It's the first time we've stayed here and it definitely won't be the last. Really good value for money 👍👍

Shower carefully or you could end up with a flood.

I went here for a business one night stop over, I stayed in the cheapest room. It was clean, tidy and had everything I needed. Because it was the cheapest the room was quire small and I wouldn't want to stay in the for more than a couple of nights. Good location for theatres etc. Didn't eat in the restaurant or bars but they looked very nice. Would stay here again for work

I love staying at the Strand Palace Hotel when I’m in London. From check in to check out it’s always a great experience. The staff are all wonderful and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are well kept and extremely clean. It is ideally situated. I certainly wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

Had a room in the second lowest category. Accordingly, the room was very cramped and in close proximity to the building ventilation. The sanitary infrastructure could be a little better, but everything worked - you get what you pay for. The general area with restaurant, on the other hand, is spacious and nice - the selection at the breakfast buffet is excellent, the staff friendly and accommodating.

3,5⭐️ For the kindness of some people who work there. I’m not trying to act like a malicious person but that was my truly feeling. The hotel is more 3 stars, lots of small things for self care are missing in my room. Our room was standard one for 2 but everything was so compressed even the bathroom super small you feel like everything was done to use every millimeter. I asked 2 time the cleaning lady to bring me products for bathroom she explained to me to asked first to the reception so I’ve done it, but the task wasn’t accomplished. The breakfast buffet was good for me so I give a try for dinner but it was the worse choice 18 or 19 pounds for a salad without any taste not even a dressing sauce. Unfortunately I left with a bitter taste… I’m sorry to write this kind of feedback but unfortunately not my best experience. Ending on a good note the hotel it is well located and lots of attractions around.

Fun little spot tucked away, where drinks are named after historic moments on the property, fun to learn about the building and area, and great service.

With this grading I do feel sorry towards the great people working in this hotel. But I had to experience something I have never seen before. I’ve slept on military beds (in hotels) and I didn’t mind. But having my head 4 feet away from the doorless toilet and paying about 200£ for this disgusting experience goes beyond my imagination. I don’t mind the small room and the small bed. But I expect good hygiene for that price.

Great value for money! Amazing location, you can do most of things walking (if you'd like). Comfortable room and bed. The room could be a bit bigger, there's wasn't enough space to open 2 big luggages at the same time for example but it had everything we needed. Spacious bathroom, with good space to put your stuff (women knows how important that is!).

The hotel is lovely and in a great location. The staff are both helpful and friendly. The room we stayed in was expensive, but it was for a special occasion. The room although suitable for one night didn't have much storage space. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The hotel have a secure luggage area so we didn't have to take are luggage around with us.

I stay at the Stand palace Hotel at least once every 2 months, mainly because of work. This repeat usage of the hotel doesn't seem to count for anything! The location is very practical for both work and leisure activities. Generally, the rooms are clean, albeit small. The reception staff are often dismissive and unbothered by complaints. Don't expect warm smiles or greetings. There are no advantages at all for being a repeat client!! Warm Customer service does not seem to be high on the list? The one consistent positive that I would really like to mention is the excellent service from Mr Nihar who serves in the main restaurant. Not only is he always friendly and extremely efficient, he never fails to remember preferences, or allergies or favourites. He is one person who makes me (and my many other colleges) always feel not only welcome, but also very at home. Please do not fail to thank him on my behalf. I would like to highly commend his services over the last couple of years. As also does Richard the doorman (the one smiling person at the strand!!) and Mr Mohamed the concierge - who is very helpful and knowledgeable about the availability of all kinds of London highlights!!

Fantastic hotel in a great location for London. Don’t let the price out you off as it is fantastic value when you start thinking of the transport costs etc. The staff are a credit to the business and it is very clean. Food was lovely and the gin palace well go and find out for yourselves but you won’t be disappointed! We will return it’s that good.

The location is top. The service is also good. However, the mattress and pillows are unfortunately totally worn out. The ventilation in the bathroom runs 24 hours and the heating is quite loud. I wouldn't choose the hotel again.

My friends and I had an amazing experience at the Strand Palace Hotel. Its prime location made it easy for us to access all the attractions we wanted to see. We were especially grateful for the warm welcome we received during check-in. Mary, the receptionist, truly went above and beyond. After a long tour in Europe, we arrived at the hotel early and inquired about the availability of our room so we could rest. Although our original room wasn't ready, she kindly upgraded us to a fantastic room that we absolutely loved. If I ever find myself in London again, I would definitely choose the Strand Palace Hotel without hesitation. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to making our stay in London so enjoyable!

I stayed here as a solo guest, at the weekend in December. My room was as per the website - a single and not very big, but very clean and everything in very good condition. Very comfortable for a three night stay. The breakfast was extremely good (excellent range of items and all good quality) and the staff were very helpful and professional. One evening I had dinner in the hotel restaurant and while the food was good and good value. the service was rather slow (that's why I've deducted one star for service - everything else was fine). The location was wonderful, two or three minutes from Covent Garden. I would stay here again.

Perfect Service, perfect recommondation for dinner, pretty room

I had an interesting experience. The room was reasonable condition. The room was smaller than expected. My room was a single and I was only spending one night here, so this wasn't a problem but something others should be aware of. Note the single rooms don't have a bathroom/toilet door. Meaning any steam from the shower (or anything else) would enter the room as a whole. The shower also makes a very loud sound, but after letting it run for a minute it appears to clear. Location is walkable to most to theatres and local amenities. Overall, a very well presented hotel, good staff, reasonably priced, but the showers/water system needs to be resolved. Would I book again, I would think twice but wouldn't be put off if it suited.

Only the room is small, the rest is very good

This is a stunning, old glamour, London hotel full of history. I've been here many times because of its central location, clean comfy beds and competitive price. A perfect spot to enjoy a stunning city.

Rooms are very clean, well maintained and small but efficient and sufficient. Staff is very professional and accommodating but several were still learning the systems. Location is amazing! Felt very safe. Walk to theaters, restaurants etc. Underground within walking distance. Overall a good value for money.

Strand Palace Hotel 14/15th Dec 24 Weekend in London (shopping/theatre/food). Arrived approx 11 am on Saturday and advised that a room was available (it was an adjoining room but was ready). we thought OK sounded good. We booked a Superior Delux, the room was extremely disappointing (very small), and the bed was a small double.....not really sure how that can be billed as Superior Delux. It was our mistake to accept the room that was ready. I can't blame the hotel for that. We arrived back in room 233 at approx 10.30 pm.....the neighbours who'd clearly been on the sauce all night arrived back approx 11 pm and were loud and inconsiderate.....the singing was attrocious That went on past midnight. The walls are wafer thin, and you can hear everything on either side, above and below ! What wasn't explained to us was that there was either an event or a nightclub in/close to the hotel. The music went on till 2am, we were not impressed. The hotel is located ideally for Covent Garden (all walkable), but we wouldn't stay there again. Sorry, it wasn't a great experience Julian

Ali at the front desk and Mimi in the restaurant made this a truly awesome stay! Rooms are small but comfortable if you have a chair and table. One room I saw had a lamp which was a nice touch though not all rooms are equal. Looking forward to a return trip.

Perfect location behind Covent Garden, a distance of no more than half an hour to Oxford. Everything is close, full of cafes, restaurants, bars within walking distance. The hotel itself is excellent, new and quiet rooms, comfortable bed. As long as his price is competitive - I will come back again.

Amazing location on the outskirts of Covent garden and smack dab in the middle of the West end theaters. The staff was super helpful, rooms clean, and a good breakfast should you choose to eat there before venturing out. Close to tube and bus stops as well.

On second day, the house keeper use the blanket cover was contaminated with foul smell. I called front desk manager at 9:30 PM to have an emergency service to replace them. I also requested hotel manager to investigate this problem and I have received no response from hotel. The foul smell may be contagious, it is unsafe to live in this hotel.

This is my third stay at the Strand Palace. The location is excellent, being a short walk from Trafalgar Square. The rooms are a bit cramped but they have all the facilities you'd expect (and the breakfasts are great).

I stayed at the Strand for 10 days and it was a great hotel. The location could not have been any better. It was so close to everything, the theaters, Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square, Royal and Historical sites I wanted to visit. Breakfast service was wonderful and I enjoyed the afternoon tea and dinner as well in the restaurant. I will definitely be staying at the Strand for my next visit.

Superb location for everything that's best about London! My room was spotless, as we're all the public areas. The Gin bar is a great place to while away a couple of hours with a book and a cocktail - the chicken skewers ate delicious! I just wish it had been open on Sunday too! The waiting staff in here were delightful and I felt very comfortable on my own. Bonus - the bath towel was a proper big sheet! Lovely. Every member of staff I spoke to was so helpful and approachable. A very special place.

A very well located hotel in London not far from Covent Garden, Picadilli Circus, Big Ben… A really very good breakfast, lots of staff, a clean and welcoming place, the only thing I noticed is the room, you can't open the window and the room is quite scary despite being modern.

Room was very small, smaller than a travel lodge. Carpet was very dirty and tired. Gym was impossibly busy.

The overall experience was great, room very clean and great service but the only thing that was a little disappointing was there was no view from the room other than concrete, wires and windows, and we were told it had an excellent view onto the Strand. Everything else was lovely!

Location only. Otherwise miserable. The room showed signs of "hard" use. The soap dispensers in the shower were broken..the soap and lotion were runny and looked like they had been watered down....little help with Ritual's products then..when you water them down to "save money" The whole hotel gave a flashback to the Danish boat in the 90s....

Brilliant stay could of done with more pillows but nothing bad to say at all

Our room is small and the shower room too, the sink is between the shower and the toilet... or a heavy or tall person would not be able to fit there. In this hotel... no one speaks French, which is a bit of a shame. ... Except one of the super nice waiters who makes an effort. For a hotel of this size there are only 3 elevators... so it's a bit complicated. At reception, everyone makes no effort to explain what's going on...it's up to you to make do if you don't speak French.

Loved staying at the Strand Palace! Our stay was for 4 nights and we loved every minute of it. Service was incredible, high tea was delicious and fresh, Shivang went above and beyond during our high tea experience, and Luigi, Sedat and all other reception staff were so helpful. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Will certainly be back!

The downside to this hotel is that service is rather poor. For instance, the front-of-house service upon arrival was very disappointing. No one even helped me with my luggages, and even the two guys who were stationed at ‘Guest services’ took a while of staring at me before indicating to me where the check in counter was. After check-in, I had to ask for assistance to bring my luggages to my room…even though the concierge agreed, she actually told me it might take a while because her staff are “busy”. In addition, after settling in to my room, when I requested for a toothbrush, it took a full 20minutes and a reminder call before it was brought to my room. There were also barely smiles from the staff who came to send up the toothbrush or the towels I asked for - it was very amateur. The room cleaning service could also be much better too - on one of the days, my room hadn’t been cleaned at all even tho I left my room at 11am and only returned later at night. While the cleaning was done the next day, the tissue replenishment was actually overlooked. Overall service was quite poor. That being said, the pros is that the rooms, while, small are pretty clean. The breakfast buffet was excellent. And the location of the hotel is perfect - close to a few tubes, near Covent garden and walking distance to many nice shops/restaurants.

Already been there four times. Great location, great food, great service. Typically British, the rooms are so small that you don't know where to put your suitcase. But you can easily get over that with the rest.

Nice hotel and very clean in the common areas. The staff is very smiling. Our room was not very big but the bed was quite comfortable. The only downsides: the shower was not entirely clean when we arrived (not dirty but not nickel on the floor) and the street below our window was rather noisy. This remains a very good address to be close to the city center and still good standing.

I recently stayed at the Strand Palace Hotel and highly recommend. Comfortable rooms, friendly staff, and a great location. In a rush to get to the airport, I left a couple items behind. The hotel security staff was incredibly easy to work with in order to get the items shipped back to me. They went above and beyond and I’m very grateful!

The Strand has an excellent position and a friendly staff. Only hiccup is the size of the rooms and that the windows are very narrow, so many of the rooms at the hotel appear small and dark.

The room is clean and nice The bed is comfortable and there is space to unfold your suitcase. It's not very spacious, but it has everything you need and is clean. The bathroom doesn't have a door, so it's a bit confusing, but since it's a single room, it's okay to just get over it. The bathroom facilities are also new and clean. Most of the staff are friendly too. But I took off one star because the soundproofing was so bad. There are many hotels with bad soundproofing, but this one is a bit worse. I could hear street noise, music coming from outside at night, people's voices, and conversations in the hallway and next room very well.

Strand Palace Hotel is centrally located a short walk from Covent Garden and other tourist spots. Easy access to metro stations and public transportation. Plenty of good restaurants in the area. The hotel itself is lovely even though the lifts are very slow especially during 'peak' times. Breakfast at the hotel is a good option with a wide selection of hot and cold items. The Fitness Centre is somewhat small for the size of the hotel.

We had a superior double small room but very comfortable and the air con was fab. Stayed a couple of times at the Strand, it's in a fab location right by the Thames and lots of London attractions are in 20/25 mins walking distance. Breakfast is lovely and the cocktail bar lovely for a night cap. Having Covent garden on the doorstep with lots of fab restaurants is fab but it's really busy so book in advance.

I recently stayed at The strand palace hotel in London and was thoroughly impressed. The hotel's location is great with easy access to London's attractions. My room was spacious, elegantly appointed, and extremely comfortable. Dining was a lovely experience with excellent food and service The staff here are exceptional, providing friendly and professional service throughout my stay. In summary, The Strand palace offers a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and exceptional service. It's an outstanding choice for anyone visiting London.

Great locale, nice people, but beware the size of the rooms! The junior king studio was simply too small for my 2 sons and I, and I was told (probably falsely) it was their largest room. Odd, too, that the rooms don't have drawers. What room for 3 people has a tiny closet and no drawers? But honestly, if you're not claustrophic, it's a sweet place to stay.

Had no water one morning and was not offered any compensation for it. Otherwise a good hotel in a very good location.

Great location, ideal for a theatre weekend. Staff very friendly. Rooms were clean and of a reasonable standard, but a bit small considering how much we paid for our stay. On the plus side, it was very quiet so an undisturbed night's sleep. A but of a wait for the elevators though, used the stairs quite a lot. Breakfast was good.

Check in was easy and the hotel is situated in an ideal spot in the main hub of London. I'd recommend it for anyone wishing to stay in London

Dreadful. Thieves. Taking a £25 upfront payment and then not repaying it on check out despite repeated promises

The deposit ad € 1100,00 after 2 weeks still not at my bankacc. This is a normal bankaccount I need my money. They give a lot of excuses, they manage to put this amount from my account in 10 seconds!!. Room is too small, no coffeemachine, no fridge, no chair(s) bathroom too small, way too noisy (you can hear the neighbors talk). You cannot watch tv from the bed, you had to sit on the bed because there is no chair at all. I pay € 950,00 for 3 nights way to much. And still no money on my account. They do this to all their customers and they earn a lot of money with this kind of illegal transactions.

The online check in is a complete waste of time as you have to check in when you arrive anyway. The single rooms are like a closet with a bed. Too expensive for what you're actually getting.

Shower water temperature was never fixed, making it a bad experience each time we take a shower.

Rooms are clean. But a bit small. Had some minor issues with a/c and slow response to check a couple times.

Nice hotel in central London and very well maintained. One side of the bed was up against the wall, that was the only downside. The staff were really amazing and helpful. I would go back.

The hotel in the heart of London

Noise from extractor fans outside of the bedroom window made for an awful night's sleep. Otherwise, a room in any other location of the building would have made for a brilliant stay. The room was well equipped and I loved the free chocolate and water bottle in the room.
