Very good Nasi Goreng and friendly staff

They must have had an off day. Pad Thai was tasteless with stodgy, overcooked noodles and was almost inedible. Had to send it back. Staff were polite, attentive and apologetic and took it off the bill.

I recently had dinner at Thai Warung, and it was an incredible experience! This place is a hidden gem for anyone who loves authentic Thai and Indonesian cuisine. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a cozy vibe that made me feel right at home. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that our dining experience was nothing short of perfect. The food, however, was the real star of the evening. Every dish was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. I tried their [insert dish you had—e.g., "Pad Thai and Nasi Goreng"], and both were absolutely delicious. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the balance of spices was just right. You could tell a lot of care went into preparing each plate. Not only was the food outstanding, but the portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable considering the quality and authenticity of the dishes. If you're a fan of Thai and Indonesian food, Thai Warung is a must-visit. I can’t wait to return and try more from their menu. Highly recommended!

Not much chicken in the Thai Red or Green curry and didn’t taste very authentic

The ambience was good and so was the service. The gentleman that served us was very friendly. But the food was nothing like Thai food. May be if you have never tasted authentic Thai food, this place should be fine for you. Chicken satay was one that tasted good but I found it over priced. Just four very thin strips of chicken you pay £7. I am from Singapore and hence Thai food is one of my favourites. I was expecting something more. Definitely disappointed.

Not sure what’s happened to the Thai Warung but we were sorely disappointed with our meal last night. Both Panang and massaman curries were basic at best, chicken was chewy, and far from the quality of our last visit a year or so ago. Sauces were small and also pretty bland, just a bit disappointing. I do hope this was a one off as this didn’t feel worth £38 :( Shame.

Absolutely amazing! Thai Warun serves some of the best and most authentic Thai food I’ve ever tasted. The flavors are rich, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. Every dish was prepared with great attention to detail, and the freshness of the ingredients really stood out. The service was warm and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Went with family amazing experience.Glad we have Halal thai and indo food in Maidenhead we have tried mix starter platter which includes all starter full of flavours, Pineapple rice served in pineapple which looks great. The guy who served us very friendly and great service.soon we goona book the place for my son birthday.

If you're craving Thai cuisine, this is the place for you - and it's halal! The Thai green curry was delicious, really flavoursome and one of the best I've had, and the starter platter was lovely too. Great service and really chilled out vibes, would highly recommend.

This is just a delight of a place. I really don't want to let anyone know as it is now my special place, but it's only fair. The atmosphere, the food and not just the service, but genuine kindness is a simply a joy. I wish them all the success they deserve.

I met a friend here for dinner last night and couldn’t recommend it more. The food is delicious, excellent value and the staff are lovely. What a hidden gem! We will be back!

Found this restaurant in the town centre very convenient if you want a nice and quick meals. Really nice authentic Thai and Indonesia foods. Service great, definitely will return soon.

First time coming here for a meal. Appreciate that it's fully halaal. The Tom khagai soup was so flavourful!! 💯 Recommended. We also ordered the pad thai, veg spring rolls and massaman curry. They were all so delicious and mostly had large portion sizes that we couldn't finish and had packed so lunch was sorted for the next day.

Just had birthday meal here. Lovely ambience and friendly staff. However felt the salt and pepper squid very rubbery and the prawns in pad thai needed some flavour.

Food was pretty average, all delivered hot but not that tasty.

the curry was all sauce, with 5 pieces of beef that were about the size of a 5p coin. 2 pieces were too chewy and had to throw then in the bin.

Been there with friends and family. Ordered lots of dishes and believe it or not it’s presented nicely and taste was awesome. Nice and clean love it. Will come back 100%

First time I've ordered with Just Eat, won't bother again - 30-40 minute estimated delivery was in the end an hour and a half and some of the food was luke warm.

I've been to the restaurant multiple times and the food was really good! But the pad Thai I had delivered was honestly so bad It came in one soggy block and with no flavour just very strong bad taste what I can only compare to old burnt water what I just couldn't get out of my mouth went straight in the bin very disappointed

Great cosy restaurant with a lovely ambience. The staff were really friendly and attentive to our needs. The food was nice and served in a pleasant manner.

I’m updating my review. I don’t know what’s happened with this place but it has gone from one of the best hidden gems to the worst. So upsetting. It was probably the worst meal my partner and I have ever had. The chicken skewers were so dry we couldn’t eat them and the curry was like having a packet supermarket curry.. It didn’t even taste like anything and really disappointed in the service. There was no one in there and the phone kept ringing while we were there and no one came out to answer it. They refunded us straight away for our meal which we were appreciative for but will not be returning again.

Great restaurant, I highly recommend it everyone to visit. Not only was it halal, our meals were freshly cooked with lots of flavour. I have many allergies (e.g. onion, garlic, spices, etc), the chef took his time asking me lots of questions of what I can/cannot eat and prepared a very delicious meal which I have rarely found in other places. Will defo come again if we are in the area.

The dry looking chicken satay did not come with satay sauce but instead about 1 teaspoon of sweet chilli sauce. Not enough for even one skewer.

All food tasted fantastic but quantity of rice with the green and red curry was not enough really

We ordered takeaway from Thai Warung as our other local Thai restaurant wasn't answering the phone. Expensive mistake! This was genuinely the only Thai meal I've ever eaten that was dreadful. We've had average before but this wasn't even average. The salt and pepper squid was dry and the coating tasteless- like eating a cheap McDonald's. It's usually one of my favourite dishes but I couldn't even be bothered to eat it. We had a red curry and a green curry. Both had lots of chili but no other Thai flavour at all- no hint of lemongrass, galangal, nothing. My vegetable curry was full of mushy overcooked broccoli and carrot- which are not even proper Thai vegetables. It would be ok for a basic home meal but didn't taste like a Thai chef had been anywhere near it. The Pad Thai had no seasoning, the rice was wet, soggy and not sticky. I haven't written a review for ages but had to write this so noone else gets fooled by the reviews elsewhere. Avoid!

Ordered green curry, prawn graprow, pad Thai and jasmine rice. Arrived late and Luke warm, but that’s more the delivery guys (food hub) being useless. Green curry had virtually no chicken, as did the stir fry. The pad Thai was ok but on the dry side. Overall, average. It was ok but not going to order again.

We have loved this place every time prior but the portions have changed. Very little meat in one of the mains, small portion of the vegetable stir fry, and all of it bulked out with extra rice in the pots. It all tasted delicious though.

Absolutely delicious. Price point is a tad higher of course, but the quality and consistency of this place is worth it 100%. There has not been a single order we’ve received from this place which has disappointed in any way. 5 star.

Four of us went on Saturday late afternoon, was served an excellent fresh produce meal , it’s a cosy restaurant, very good polite service nothing was too much trouble . Great value for money as very reasonable cost with the added bonus of bringing our own alcohol , they supplied us with flutes, wine glasses & ice will defo go again very impressed

Food is good, especially the spring rolls. However a wider selection of food would be appreciated. Service was slow as there was only 1 server on the evening we went. No alcohol on the menu but you can byo.

I need to update my experience with this place. We were there with our dog a few weeks ago. Before entering, we asked if it would be a problem. The waitress seemed very afraid of our dog (a 6kg poodle). She couldn't even approach our table as if it were a German Shepherd. However, the biggest surprise was the complete lack of alcohol. I always enjoyed having a beer while eating delicious curry. Unfortunately, Pepsi light had to satisfy my thirst. The worst part, though, was that my starter and main course arrived at the same time! I had to hurry so my main course wouldn't get cold while the soup was still steaming hot, tantalizing my taste buds. It was clearly a signal to eat quickly and get out of there. The food also deteriorated. I couldn't finish any of my dishes. We left disgusted and are not thinking of returning. What a shame.

Thai food is very Amazing and polite. Amazing Staff.. And friendly delivery driver... We will visit again.. ☺️

Since they changed management, they have new manager, new chefs and new service. It is not good at all. The food is not fresh and taste like it is just mixed with a sachet of soup with hot water..

Very very disappointing. Salt sand pepper squid frozen, Laab Gai resembled a very sad Greek salad, curry was bland.

over 1-hour delay on delivery, been lied to when chased, food was cold and mediocre in taste sequence of events: 18:39 ordered food for 20:00 delivery 20:20 chased late delivery, was told very sorry but will be delivered by 20:40 20:48 called and was told it was in the car and 'on the way' 21:00 Tired of being hungry and making unfulfilled promises, we started cooking 21:10 delivered over 1 hour late and the food was cold and mediocre in taste

Salad consisted of soggy iceberg lettuce and grated carrot. Pad Thai was cold and tasteless. Won’t be ordering again.

I read the reviews prior to coming and thought it would be a good idea to try a takeaway. My experience was ruined by the restaurant not giving me the peanut sauce for both of the satay chicken I ordered, so I called them but the guy must have not believed me as he had to ask the staff and then said sorry, I suggested to him if I could come back (they should have delivered it to me as it was there mistake) however after the phone call I couldn't be bothered to go back, I then tried the chicken and it was very cold and then tried the curry I ordered which was great and hot in temperature. I doubt I'll be back but I can only recommend eat in as issues can be sorted out there.

Had a lovely family meal here yesterday for my sister's birthday - food was fantastic! We all enjoyed our meals and the lady serving us was friendly & accommodating especially since we had a large group of 15 people. The restaurant itself is not big so I class this as a hidden little gem.

The food was tasteless,it was like it was cooked by an amateur,for what they charged us…my wife could have cooked better herself…won’t be going back ever again…we only went and tried it because our favourite Thai was closed…expensive mistake.

It's the first time I went and ordered food I was surprised that in my locality there was a top class Thai food place... Atmosphere was nice abs cosy I took a take away and enjoyed the food at home as couldn't get to go there with the whole family including kids at the time... But food was spot on... Food was cold, pad thai was flavourless

Food was late and cold when it finally arrived. The bag the food was brought was ripped and wet as the curry had leaked. I got mixed vegetables the portion was ridiculously small and half cooked. So disappointing, won’t be ordering from here again.

Visited this place before going to Odeon Luxe in Maidenhead. This gem is hidden in one of the alleys few blocks away. Interior was beautiful. Sophisticated. Not too much. I wish they have more options for the menu. Nevertheless, we enjoyed a very lovely meal of beef in oyster sauce with some vegetables and coconut rice, and red curry meal. WITH FREE PRAWN CRACKERS. The guy who served us was so kind and nice. Wouldn’t mind eating here again next time we visit Maidenhead. Also, prices are good!!!!

Food was tasty and service very quick. The man serving us was lovely and let us take home food we couldn't finish. We paid £75 for two people so price probably a bit steep for what it is but everyone is raising prices at the moment. Decor was lovely also

Thai Warung (loosely translated to Thai Hut) Restaurant a little gem of a restaurant tucked away in a quiet street of Maidenhead that in my opinion delivers exceptional tasty food at reasonable price. My wife and I dined at this restaurant for the first time (July 2023) where we had a wonderful welcome, which continued for the duration of our meal. The menu in comparison to larger chain of Thai restaurants may not be as extensive but there is good choice to please all. Also very pleased to say that the restaurant can adept there dishes for vegans for which chef/owner Omer, should be congratulated. Now that we have found this restaurant, we will be dining there much more frequently. Please note that the only alcohol on the menu is Singa Beer however; we were allowed to bring our own wine for which there was no corkage charge.

The food is delicious and really good value. The service is lovely - really friendly both times I’ve been here! Since it’s so tucked out of the way it can be quite quiet but the interior is lovely so the atmosphere is quite nice.
