One of my favourite wetherspoons, no matter how early in the morning I get here there's always a group of blokes already on there second or third order of 6 pints of lager or two old woman drinking proceseco. I prefer to sit near the coffee machines where you can get a good view of the small hatch where the staff stack used glasses, it's not uncommon to see 100s of glasses stacked in an area 50cm square a sort of Jenga with a little more danger and reaching heights you never knew were possible, it's no fault of the staff it's just this place gets super busy and the glasses never stop coming! Small toilets tucked at the back which are better than the god awful main station toilets. Another pass time if i get bored of the glass stacking is watching various people's joyous meet ups, it seems to be a popular meeting point for catching up with distant relatives, I've never visted her with out seeing half a dozen strangers hugging each other with tears in there eyes. This place is a little more pricey than most wetherspoons but good for the location, staff seem friendly but busy.

Vilento.

Tables are cleared relatively quickly to attract new customers and staff are keen to serve even at the most busy times. Food is the standard 'Spoons' fare but variable in production. First things first: this is probably the most expensive Wetherspoons you'll ever visit. But.. location, location, location: situated as it is between King's Cross and St Pancras (actually in St Pancras itself) you may find yourself here waiting for a delayed train. As most of the clientele appears to be. It's not good, but it is convenient. If you have the time, you're better off finding a local pub nearby. It'll be cheaper and nicer. Having said that, it's a 'Spoons so you know what you get. There are many tables outside (in fact, they've taken over some of the old drop-off zones on the road). It's large inside, too. Staff do their best. And if you're worried about your train, there are screens inside the bar, too.

Just like any other Weather spoons really but it does have a few basic differences... The mens toilets are always disgusting. I'll put this down to it being so busy because of location. Apparently the toilets are checked every 30 minutes but it doesn't take long for someone to make a dirty protest! Yak. The prices are around 10% more expensive than other Weatherspoons around the country - in my experience anyway. I'll put this down to it being located in prime footfall area in Kings Cross. Squeeze the tourist! It's got a great atmosphere if you like busy. I'm fine with it. If you prefer a quiet pint or coffee... Don't go to Kings Cross. At least we could find a seat. That was an unexpected bonus considering the location. I'll be back here regardless. I'm a bit of a traveller and it is a kind of hub for this area.

The turkey/cheese/chutney sandwich was disappointing - couldn’t taste much turkey as it was that weird sliced processed stuff. The croissant tasted like one of those big mass produced ones you get in some newsagents. Large boxes of cleaning supplies were being unpacked in the middle of the cafe. Felt very dingy and down-at-heel and hence the prices aren’t justified compared with superior close-by alternatives.
