The Brayford Wharf Harvester in Lincoln

This is our second visit to Harvester in Lincoln. Only a few weeks ago was the first. I regret to say that our second visit wasn’t as positive as the first due to a problem with our food, however our waitress Brit was quick to solve the problem. She ensured that our food was up to scratch and corrected and didn’t make us feel like we were causing a fuss by raising an issue. However, I must say that our chef Marshall should pay more attention to detail to the food he sends out to avoid it happening again. When we saw Brit resolving the issue, we witnessed Marshall throwing his hands in the air and seeming to disagree with the food correction. For context, if gravy is an important part of a meal you’d expect it to have some taste and not resemble coloured water. The signature chicken gravy was phenomenal on our previous trip and that’s what enticed us to return rather than going to their neighbour Nando’s. I would definitely give them another go as everyone has off moments, however, don’t visibly cause a fuss when your kitchen is in view of the public. It also seemed like he added Bisto to thicken up the gravy as there was lumps upon its return. It tasted like Bisto. Not like the delicious gravy that was prepared for us in early January. I haven't been to Harvester in years. I was glad of a varied menu including vegetarian options. The set lunch menu was good value and gave just enough choice for me and four friends all to find something that suited us. I like that lunch set menu portions were fairly small but fine as I don't like a heavy lunch. The free salad was an unexpected bonus and a healthy addition. I felt the food was fresh.

Great food from chef Bex and service from Hollie. Will come again especially for the salad bar 😁

Lovely nice meal out. Friendly staff and good food all round, lots of great choices from meats to almost pub classics. Really enjoyed the chipotle rainbow burger. Our server was Emily she was very helpful and nice. Compliments to Alex the chef the chicken combos we had were cooked perfectly.

driver arrived and called me but refused to get out of his car expecting me to go to him then drove off without deliving the food

Brilliant service, happy and helpful staff. The food was delicious, not a single problem with it. Our chef Steph and our server was Callum. The restaurant was a bit warm but much better than the freezing outdoors. We also had a brilliant deal with a voucher.

Should have left as soon as we saw how messy it was. Pre booked a table, it was dirty crumbs on the seats sauce on table fries on the floor. Burger came with no sauce or gherkins. Bad quality meat and Iceland chips. The starters were good. Main waiter was very much speaking down to me. Overpriced for how mid the food is

This was my first visit to this restaurant, squeezed in just before my train home. I was hoping for no queues and quick service, and luckily, neither the place nor the servers disappointed. I had a full rack of ribs with a side of chips, and the service from Emma and Karla was great. My food arrived quickly, and I was happy with the generous portion size. My order came with unlimited access to the salad bar, though, unfortunately, my stomach’s capacity isn't as unlimited! I managed only a small bowl of salad. The ribs were beautifully browned, fresh, and juicy, while the chips were just as flavourful. I'd purchased free refills of diet coke, though, with such a hearty main dish, there wasn’t much room for multiple rounds. Next time, I’ll bring my friend! It was a 9/10 dining experience – a full 10/10 if the chef decides to make a cameo. :P P.S. I'm not a photographer, these photos don't do the dish justice.

The skewers are to die for. Cooked perfectly!! Absolutely delicious by JIMMY!! Highly recommended. Brit served us. She was patient as we have a small child. Very helpful.

Had the large breakfast. Was excellent. Only thing I’d say it’s a shame it doesn’t come with toast. Thanks guys ❤️

Great friendly service from Brit. She was quick and efficient even seemed she was working alone and we got great food from Liam. I had the scampi and my husband has the fish. Brilliant. Will return next time they offer a fab deal.

Really nice good and good value for money we went around 1pm on a Friday. Kids food good value and lots of different refills to choose from

We came in looking for an all day breakfast brunch type of meal and were suprised to see the menu had changed since we were last here. My husband happened to ask if there is anything similar to an all day breakfast and our lovely server said they did not do one anymore but she could have a look if one could be built up by individual items. Our servers name was Brit and she very kindly totaled up how much a breakfast of individual items would cost and got the chefs to make us one up. This made our day and she did so without complaint. You don't get service like this these days and people are quick to give negative feedback but never think to give positive feedback. I was happy to tell Brit how amazing her service had been. Top class service with a smile. Highly recommen this place. Thank you Brit. X

Service was excellent. Salad bar great, food tasty and hot. Although I did think the prices had increased a lot.

Sweet potato fries I paid extra for were disappointing. The rest was ok. Cost on par with a higher standard of pub/restaurant. I wouldn’t recommend or return.

Superb breakfast, and service. Gluten free option amazing. Butties, full breakfasts all highly recommended Fab customer attention.

Fantastic food and service, booked a table of 12 with two that are coeliac. The staff were fantastic meeting the needs of my children and had a great choice of food.

ordered at 17.52 arrived at 19.42 and time kept changing to a later and later time. Nearly two hours is to long.

I love bringing my two children here. The staff are always super smiley and helpful and very accommodating for our needs. They had santa and the elf in today too which was a wonderful surprise. The children made reindeer food and hot chocolates to take home all for free! Also the food is always cooked so we'll, so this is now our regular!!

Came for a quick lunch on Monday. I was served by Brit and Liam and Gary made my lunch. Fabulous thank you.

Staff was lovely, salad bar great, food itself horrible. Chips had so much salt on it that it looked like the top had fallen off the shaker. The spring onions used as garnish well I was given the bit with roots attached.My partner couldn't eat his chips because of how much salt was on his. Chicken seems like it's from iceland. Nothing special, everything just from the freezer. We all were disappointed.

On Saturday night I came to the harvester for work's Christmas party the waiting staff were fantastic unfortunately they didn't have name badges on so didn't know they name to say thank you for your great service the food was fantastic could have eaten it all again I will be coming back for more food and great atmosphere

The whole experience was spot on. Maddy was particularly excellent.

Had a nice meal at Harvester with a group of friends. The food was good, not exceptional, but certainly good enough. I swapped chips for a jacket potato with no issue. Served by Maddy, who was friendly and helpful. We visited with a discount code, so the value for money on this visit was worth it! Very quiet in the restaurant, music playing, but no real atmosphere.

Came yesterday was served by Emma, had a wonderful time, the food was great loved the rotisserie chicken so juicy

Absolutely lovely. We were a little early due the horrendous rain but this was not a problem- very accommodating. Menu excellent, staff fabulous and food gorgeous.

A full 5 all around! The atmosphere is cozy and fantastic! I felt right at home while eating with my girlfriend The food was also brilliant and worth the price. My chef Jimmy had done a brilliant job with the ribs and roast chicken I had. My server brit was very welcoming and sweet too! Overall this is a brilliant place to go eat with loved ones! Served by Brit she was amazing funny helpful efficient and lovely. Jimmy was our chef and in all the times I've been here this was the best. Couldn't fault the food. Potatoes fluffy meat tender and good size portions. Well.done Jimmy. Great food great eve.

I recently had a delightful experience at Harvester! The food was absolutely delicious, with comforting, hearty flavors that made the meal enjoyable from start to finish. The menu offered a wide variety of dishes, and everything we tried was satisfying and well-prepared. The warm, inviting atmosphere and attentive service added to the great experience, making us feel right at home. For anyone looking for a relaxed meal with tasty options, Harvester is a wonderful choice. I’ll definitely be back soon!

Service was terrible. Sat waiting for 20 minutes for someone to clear our plates and in the end I had to go and ask someone to do so. The place wasn't even busy which should have told us something as it was a Friday evening. Medium steak was raw. Not even able to put a fork or knife through it. Complained and they refunded a Pepsi. My advice - avoid. Save your money and spend it somewhere better.

Had the spare ribs, excellent very tasty served with a smile. Free salad to start so great value for money. Highly recommend.

Myself and my brother who came a couple of weeks ago decided to give it a go again. A couple of issues with the food but these were quickly rectified. Firstly my burger came with normal chips when I asked for the classic dirty fries but this was noticed by the manager as soon as he put them down and was quickly rectified. Then when we ordered the desert we both had the rocky horror sundae and it was meant to come with WARM brownie but the brownie had not been warmed up and so was cold.

Despite it being a booking, we unfortunately waited just shy of 2 hours for our meals. Granted, it was a Saturday, but still. Especially with littles who were really hungry and doing their best to be patient, and us needing to keep excitable, high-energy kids reasonably still, at the table, and entertained whilst waiting for so long. It was not the easiest. They have a salad bar, and we did have some when we first arrived, but for all we knew, our meal was coming out at any point, and we didn't want to fill up and ruin our meal. We also had to go out and put extra money on car parking due to the wait. However, when discussed how we felt with the staff, they were understanding and gave us 20% off the total bill. The food was tasty. Overall, it was a positive experience.

Great Service, great food and great environment

Food let the experience down but Emma, Callum and the team made up for it. Firstly, I ordered the dirty one burger with dirty fries, originally it came with normal fries but this was quickly rectified by Emma who got us the dirty fries. I then found out that the onion rings were missing from the dirty one burger which was brought over quickly. The hash brown and onion rings were a bit overcooked by the looks of them and the burger bun had dried out from being under the pass for too long To top it off we had deserts and found some orange twine in my brothers banana for his banoffee delight waffle probably from the chef cutting the twine off something and using the same knife for the banana. They did offer to make a new one but we were half way through eating it so didn’t want to make a fuss

Took a while for staff to come to the entrance to take us to a table but Joe was very nice when we requested to sit at a certain table area that we preferred, service was straightforward, helpful and polite, as well as the female waitress that also helped at our table, food is really good, location is very handy near hotels and public car park, if you have the Harvester app they have offers/discount codes, which definitely helps in school holidays.

Such a peaceful visit this afternoon with delicious food! We was served by Scott who was so lovely and attentive, we even changed tables half way through as the sun was shining through and he helped us grab our stuff and move. One of my favourite places to eat in Lincoln. Highly recommend

Grubby. Needs a good clean which put me off straight away. Won't be returning. Salad bar was disappointing too. Limited choice for a Harvester. Disappointing experience.
