The Cakehole in Swindon

The cakehole is an amazing cafe/takeaway. The cakes, biscuits and savoury rolls are a delicious treat and their cappuccinos are lovely and very generous. I always look forward to my visits will come back soon.

Go here a lot for a roll and cakes as they are so good, as I was working near I sat down to have their large fry up and wasn’t disappointed. Large full English and a bottle of orange juice was just over £8! Neil and the team are so accommodating and it’s a great place to go for takeaway or sit in food. Well worth a visit for the cakes alone.

As you approach this place doesn’t look too appealing and it is usually a pain to park. Once you get over that it is well worth a visit and once you have been once I would e surprised if you didn’t return. I have sampled most things in here and have not yet been disappointed. I usually have takeaway rolls which are in wonderful bread rolls and generously filled. It is a bit small inside but you can eat in if you want and the breakfast is again generous and good value for money. The pastries are large and flavoursome and the cakes are amazing. I agree with some comments that the service can blow hot and cold depending on the staff but they are always really busy so I guess there is pressure to get people served. I love it here and recommend to everyone I speak to.

Live in Park North but will go over town for this place, freshest 'real' ham rolls in town, great coffee and homemade cake, what more could you want. p.s staff are nice too

Will go out of my way for their fresh (real) Ham salad rolls and home made cakes mm mmm and a bit of a natter

Very disappointed in this place what a let down. It's always busy which I am shocked at. I went in for a cheese and onion pasty to be told they haven't got that. I was offered a cheese roll. But the women serving was offering me a cheese roll as in a sandwich. Not what I wanted. She said I thought that's what you meant . Anyway after her not very smiling face looking at me I said I will take a meat sauage roll. No veggie option in the shop. It was greasy and by far the worst sauasge roll I have ever had. One bite and I was not having anymore. Horrible. Even my husband said it was not nice at all. We won't be returning it's safe to say .

We sometimes go here after school and the lady with the short black hair is SO rude. Never cracks and smile and is sarcastic. Puts me off going anymore. They would make so much more money I’d the customer service was better as the cake is actually really nice.

First visit for me, I will definitely return. Food is freshly, and staff are friendly. A wide selection of hot and cold sandwiches / pastries and cake :-).

Out for a walk and decided to call in for brunch, friendly staff and quick service and a great cup of tea! Nice clean cafe and the cake selection looked amazing. Will have to have a return visit to try the cake!

Sausage rolls, potato dogs, hot n cold baps. Great homemade food. Tasty and fresh to order. Friendly staff and fair honest prices.

I normally stop here when doing the school run or having a hair cut but to be honest it's just as many excuses as possible the food is great the service is better with all the kids or without you can't beat the prices and the large breakfast is the best compared to quantity quality and value that you would find against any other place.

Went here with a family member. The staff are very friendly and chatty too. They do everything fresh to order which is great. Would recommend and return.

Best full English breakfast in Swindon. Good choice for coffee drinkers sensible breakfast size drinks, no silly French egg cups here. Real sausage and tasty bacon with fried egg and toast set you up for a winter's day. Will adjust for Dariusdave so no beans extra mushrooms. Neal has his own designed family friendly furniture! But premises are wheelchair friendly. Dariusdave frequently enjoys a takeaway bacon sarnie. Shop also supplies traditional lardies and old fashioned buns. Frequent visitor and will return again soon

the food was lovely and the cakes are home made and so good i want to keep going back until I have tried them all, and it is so cheap

Great full English good vale great staff Nice tea bacon eggs bean bread etc Only thing I would change and happily pay more for is a better sausage Open till 4pm and happy to cook till 3.30pm gr8 place

I'd forgotten this gem. We were in the area today and stopped there for coffee and the best carrot cake in Swindon. Tried their billionaires shortbread and OMG! Incredible taste too!

Always used this place. Rolls very filling and a good selection of fillings. Staff always very friendly. Try the carrot cake (mmmmm yum)

Absolutely Gorgeous !!! Great owner and great Staff. I have been in this shop many times and All food is totally fresh on a daily basis from cream cakes to Fresh Crusty Loafs and everything in between and proof is in the tasting and I would recommend this Shop/Cafe to anyone.

This excellent place the staff are very friendly and efficient. The food cannot be faulted and reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

This is my local bakery and cafe as it is five mins from my house You always get a warm smile and greeting and there is a wide choice of goodies to choose from sandwiches to cakes I would recommend it to all

I only eat here once and within a hour I had sickness and diahorria, but saying tat I know people who ues it every week and love it

Good selection of fillings and cakes. Carrot cake is the best (best I've had) or the brownie with smartie. Excellent value and staff are lovely

Best carrot cake around, super friendly service, incredibly cheap. A little gem! This place looks like any other neighbourhood cafe out there, but is far from that. Costa/Starbucks has NOTHING (except overpriced, bitter coffee) on them.
