Great food every time, mine and my family’s favourite place to go to for food!!

Ordered large and small when delivered was more or less the same food was nice forgot hot chilli chips were not crispy when delivered due to steam I guess nevermind

First time here as I was recommended by a friend .. I asked the elder gentleman if food was fresh… he pulled the half pounder patties (frozen ones from most supermarkets) straight out the freezer 😢 the chicken kebab was so bland.. literally no seasoning what so ever. Small portions for the money. On the other hand, the service was decent and staff were polite but essentially good is what matters.

Food cold and expensive the re cooked and driver had cheek to argue with me at door that my 7 year old had 2 pieces of the pizza avoid

I know prices have gone up but 16.90 for a Mixed Kebab is steep, especially when ordering two (my mistake I should've seen the prices beofre I ordered). Food wasn't great quality, portion small and came with very little salad and no chips. Service wasn't friendly so won't be returning.

First time ordering from here. Staff were friendly enough, and served straight away. Chicken kebab seemed to take forever to cook despite the chicken being chopped into small cubes. Doner meat was very thin and like warm. Chips were OK, nothing fantastic. Portions were small for the money paid. Food was edible but poor value.

Food was quite nice but not much of it, paid £14.90 for chicken shish ( out of a tub ) and Donner ( really thin ) mix kebab and a diet pepsi. Place looked clean but the shop needs some money spending on it, looks tired and run down. Nice people.

10/10 food is great and delivery is quick the food is hot when it arrives and is all correct. Burgers are amazing with salad .👍

I've used this kebab house for many a years and I rated highly but last cpl of wks food and prices well below good quality and told 1 price then to be charged differently at door is well not good enough and then rang up to be told we don't have to tell anyone the actual price is disgusting and very unprofessional I certainly would never use again just goes to show customer service as no interest of this establishment anymore

we went last night after watching the rugby game,I ordered 2 pieces of chicken and chips and my partner ordered a cheese burger,and when I say both meals was presented to us in under 2 minutes isn’t a good things as the burger was raw and the chicken was absolutely frozen that’s no exaggeration,I brought it to his attention and he said really oh sorry Would u like another,I politely declined and asked for a refund,seriously I know fast food isn’t always great but frozen chicken is beyond a joke

Large chicken kebab was more like a child's portion, rang up to complain and got nowhere, and the girl said nothing we can do, that is a large kebab, wouldn't put me through to the manager, and she put phone down on me, spent over £35 too, this place is going down very very quickly, not impressed, we wont be going back again, remember that Charcoal !!!! You need customers to keep your business going

Don’t think I’ve ever been so angry about food. Small chicken kebab consisting of FOUR tiny pieces of chicken, some chopped up onion some cabbage and lettuce in a pitta bread £7.50??? FOUR pieces of chicken?! Your profit margins must be about 90%, I’ve never felt so insulted, this place used to be good. There’s a cost of living crisis, you keep serving shoddy food like that you won’t be around for long

Quality of food and customer service is appealing. There has been too many issues recently with them. They get the order wrong, instead of a margarita we were given garlic bread. Then we recieved an undercooked meal, when I spoke to them i was told they would compensate on next order, but when I went in he said theres no such thing as compensation or free. For a chicken kebab and a small margherita we got charged £19.50 ridiculous! He said theres additional £3 charge for the chips so I'm guessing he wouldve given us just chicken on its own? What does a meal deal mean?chicken on it's own? Each and everytime the portion gets smaller and the owner increases the price as his leisure! I wont be ever going there again!

Chicken and donner kebab. Half tray with half salad. And chips £12.50 so expensive for average food. £25 spent and don't even get a garlic bread way to expensive.

I liked the kebabs and food sold here, but now the food quality is getting worse. The chicken didn’t taste fresh, and the salad in the kebab was much more than the meat. Real disappointed. Gonna go to another kebab shop next time. Also, the price was charged higher than the menu displayed. The owner replied because of inflation. (Then why wasn’t the menu price updated?)

Without doubt the worst kebab in Warrington and terrible value. I paid £14 off a lofted and some kebab meat and salad. Firstly the portions are too small for the money. The lamb kofte was small pieces of meat - baby size and also it was cheap and poor quality. The dinner meat had been sliced on a thin setting so thin peices and again it wasn’t great quality. Salad was basic but ok. Lovely man serving but he clearly decides to go cheap with his food and also offer small portions for £14. I do not recommend

Ordered a small chicken kebab. I know I ordered small ,but 6 tiny pieces of chicken. Salad consisted of half a tomato,a little lettuce and onion. Poor quality and overpriced . Won’t be going again

The worst kebab house ever! Never again…. the llama kebab was too greasy, salty and tasted bad! The chicken kepab tasted like coal… as if it was inside the coals and not above them! Never again! When did this place become so bad . The chips smelt an looked like old cooking oil it’s a wonder this place is still open never £18.70 for the worst take out I’ve ever had

Ordered the food then got a phone call off delivery driver give me address I said told them when I ordered, his reply dont understand English you text me address , which I did food turned up cold and crap ,shop " oh I'm sorry to hear that ,what a joke

Food is normally pretty good here but they messed up our order which was online and its clearly listed correctly.

Absolutely disgusting, we visited for the first time tonight & will never go again, we requested extra sauce on the pizza base, this was ignored by the girl preparing the pizza despite the manager telling her to add extra sauce then we made the mistake of taking the pizza home to find it was literally charcoaled & inedible. Avoid this place like the plague. When I rang to complain, the girl who made the pizza insisted that we'd got the pizza 2 hours ago and that she cooks all the pizzas like that so the dough cooks. I was basically called a liar as we only got the pizza 20 minutes before I rang but she insists it was 2 hours as though I can't tell the time! The only option offered was to return the pizza to exchange for a new one which I declined as we don't drive & I'm not wasting taxi fare if she's adamant that her standard of pizza cooking is burnt offerings only. I don't know how this place is in business unless they have customers who enjoy burnt offerings and being scammed!!!

Chicken is vile, i spasificly asked the owner who asured me it was real chicken brest, to find out when i got home it was vile processed chicken, not only that it wasn't even cooked proper it was pink raw in the middle, strait in the bin it went along with the rubber stail probably yesterdays reheated chips, disgusting!!!

Whenever we feel like fast food (which we don't usually have very often for health reasons) the Charcoal Kebab House is always on the shortlist and usually wins out because of their great kebabs and friendly service.

food cold phoned up and had some snotty women answer when complained about food and brought it bag she had the worst attitude going never had a bad word to say my husband family have used it for years as well! Wont be returning.. you would think with it being her dads shop she would be a little bit more understanding! People with poor customer service skill ruin businesses!!! Gave them another go after a really poor experience. Tried to organise a telephone order for delivery. Staff were very abrupt to my partner, they wouldn’t confirm our address and went silent on the phone for minutes at a time. Just arrogant and not competent. So sad that the old crew seem to have moved on. They were fab. This lot are a shower. Avoid. Ps can’t comment on food as we didn’t bother with our order in the end.

The lot went straight into the bin. Not fresh. Dry. No flavour. I wouldn't give it away let alone sell it.

Has it changed ownership? New people arrogant with poor hygiene. Such a shame. We’ve been visiting here for over a decade and it’s always been the best kebab place in Warrington with great service by the people that run it. Recently there seems to be a new family running it. When we called in recently, they failed to even acknowledge us for 15 minutes (no one else in the shop) and a chap was shouting at a girl working there because her long hair was all over the chicken that was cooking on the grill. I asked them about face masks and what they were supposed to do (just out of interest) and was shouted at and told ‘ we don’t need to wear masks, get out and go somewhere else!’ So we did. Very poor attitude. Dubious cooking skills and from what we saw really poor hygiene. I didn’t fancy hairs and sweat in my food thanks. Let alone eating something that’s been coughed all over. Such a shame. But for our own health we won’t be ordering from here again. Sort your attitude out and start to value your customers. Improve your cooking skills and hygiene, otherwise I can’t see this place lasting long anymore. All of our friends have said the same. Real shame. Best of luck to the other owners, if they have now moved on.

This will be the second time in 3 weeks me and my partner have ordered from here. The staff are rude, very abrupt and certainly don’t have any form of customer service the way they speak to their customers. They don’t listen to simple instructions of what you want on your kebab and leave it plain yet are quick enough to take your money. When I ring up to make a complaint they shout at me down the phone to go back to the shop and that I lied on my order and didn’t ask them specifically what I wanted. Overall I would not recommend this fast food takeaway to anyone. The kebabs are small and the price is too pricey for what you get. Definitely will not be taking my customer there ever again.

Kebab was very small and not cheap. It tasted OK, nothing special but does seem to be better than most I have tried in Warrington sadly. I asked if they deliver and the guy said they would soon and if I left my number he would let me know when they did - he never has but does spam me constantly with unwanted texts offering discounts on orders.

After doing a food hygiene course Charcoal grill is the only place I will get a kebab from. Everything is made fresh on site.

Hi. I had my first donna kabab from shop back in 1989. I then moved to south Africa. In 2005-2008 i lived in warrington again, and I again popped in. The place looked as it did when I was 16. Best Tasting donna i have ever had. Better than most other meats/ burgers etc as well. 2008 I moved back to SA. I will be back and I cant wait!!!!! Quality chow

This place has a limited menu and is a bit on the pricey side. In saying that we did enjoy our meal and the kebabs were good although there are no meal deals or special offers so everything is full price. Staff were friendly enough and the place itself was clean.

I had a lamb shish kebab. It was lush!

This is a shame. The food was fine. But I ordered a LARGE kebab, but came in a container that was only just big enough to fit the kebab in. My mate ordered a LARGE dinner meat and chips, which cost a quid less but came in a bigger container. I asked what container my kebab would have come in if I Asked for a small kebab. He pointed to a burger container. I said there’s no way you could serve a kebab in that. He said “that’s how it is!” I didn’t mind having a smaller kebab, cos it was enough in the end. But don’t charge me for a large kebab if you are going to give me a small. Nice kebab....but no one likes a liar. Terrible customer service. Such a shame for a shop with potential.

These have got to be some of the best chicken kebabs in the north west! Tasty marinated chicken cooked over a charcoal grill with heaps of fresh salad in a pitta. Service is always good, and has been for many years.

Just waited in the car for my husband as he was picking up a takeaway for tea tonight. I presume it must have changed hands or standards have slipped big style. Two chucked kebabs with salad and chips. Rubber chicken and cold chips more onion than salad. £13.00 worth of rubbish! Fantastic donned kebab, perfect pizza. Go here almost every week and never disappointed. Hubby has donner kebab and chips and I have a bbq pizza. Always spotlessly clean.

I have been using Charcoals for a number of years. I have tried a couple of years but always come back. The Kebabs last night did not disappoint me the salad is always crispy .Friendly service

simply delightful, I've been eating from here for at least 10 years and the quality of the food just goes up every time. I've never been tempted to go anywhere else because i know they won't be good as the charcoal.

This kebab shop was close to our base in Warrington. The mixed kebab is fantastic. The doner was also good. A great meal, with soft drink thrown in when ordering 3 kebabs. The staff were always friendly and kebabs delivered quickly.

Followed tripadvisor rating and was not disappointed. Large chicken shish with mild chilli sauce. Very nicely presented and taste was good. Chilli sauce was very nice. Will definitely be going back. Clean takeaway.

Hi called in for two kebabs and one portion of chips tonight for a take away. When we opened our bag when we arrived home the chips were missing how disappointed were we!!!!! loads, not the cheapest kebabs in the area anyway even more expensive when you are paying for items not in the bag when you get home!!!!Not happy at all!!!!!

Been a customer of Charcoal's since 1988 and as the title of my review suggests they're the best kebabs in Warrington by a country mile!The donner meat is top notch along with the chicken,lamb etc. and the staff are always polite and friendly.They also do top burgers so if you're ever hank marvin after a night out or just passing through then they're well worth a visit.As one of the previous reviewers stated it's just outside of the town centre (not far from Central station) but not miles away but certainly worth the couple of minutes walk.

I was introduced to charcoals when I worked as a glass collector some 20 years ago and haven't found a better tasting chicken or donner kebab anywhere else. Pretty much every good night out in town is rounded off with a pitstop here. It's a bit out of town but well worth the 5 min walk. I'm not sure but I've heard that the donner is made on the premises (all the other kebabs certainly are made and seasoned there. ) never been tempted to stray from the lovely selection of kebabs to try them but charcoals also does a wide range of pizzas, burgers and fried chicken. Oh and I'm not sure what they do to the French fries but they're awesome.

Very good quality food. I treat myself once a week and get some from this place. Never had any stomach troubles but I shouldn't have been surprised as they've been scored with 5 stars food hygiene. Now, they even give you a free can of Pepsi with every order.

We ordered Kebabs from this shop and It was delivered so fast and piping hot. The taste was so good. I highly recommend them !

The portions at the charcoal kebab house are no longer as nice or as big as they used to be,the prices have gone up but the portion size has gone right down,instead of getting a large meat and chips you now get a small in a large box and the meat is now being burnt most of the time,the salad portions on the kebabs has also dropped off to minimal,i usually spend around twenty pounds every Saturday night here but im not going to bother going there anymore,i,ll go to big portion kebab house across town instead,shame as the owner was great there but the two lads he has doing the food now are ruining it for him,very disappointed.
