In the afternoon they don't serve at the table, if you want to drink or eat you have to go and get it inside

Great pub! Great atmosphere! Clean and welcoming. The staff were wonderful. Particularly the bartender, Kirsten. She was very knowledgeable, quick and efficient.

The pub is nice, the service is average and veggie burgers were the only veg main dish available the day I went to dine there, the burger was good though but the choices for vegan/vegetarian are limited. Wide beer/Ales variety and the Cocktails are decent, below a picture of a porn star martini garnished with dry raspberries

This is a nice pub in a great location with great atmosphere. Waitress Amy is great and very attentive, and very welcoming. I would recommend.

I got off to a bad start at the Gipsy Moth: I was looking forward to trying the roast beef sirloin but a curt waiter (a black man with a French accent) refused my request to swap the thyme-roasted potatoes for a portion of cauliflower cheese, even though they were both listed as sides and were roughly the same price. Not very helpful. So because of that, I swapped my order to a steak and pale ale pie. However it arrived with a long hair on the plate (see my picture with hair circled in red). Clearly there wasn’t much quality control going on that day. When I reported the problem, my plate was swapped for another one and I was able to enjoy the pie, which was very good. It was accompanied by buttery mash, and buttered leeks and savoy cabbage - all very tasty. It also came with a little pot of red wine sauce but I found I didn’t need this. For dessert I tried the sticky toffee pudding with ginger ice cream. After the very good main, my pudding was disappointing because it wasn’t moist enough, the small scoop of ice cream was too stingy and I couldn’t detect much ginger flavour in it either. While the service and food at the Gipsy Moth needs improvement, I was very impressed by the lovely Christmas decorations inside and the views of the city and the Cutty Sark that the location affords it are stunning.

Was literally here today. Drinks and food are real good. Our bartender Anna, what a lovely angel. Have the best personality and always ensure to help us out and make us happy! Will definitely come back again!

Had to come back to try the seafood linguine and wow… Once again I am blown away by the place! It was superb 👌 This time we were served by a friendly waitress named Anna! She made us both feel welcomed once again and actually recommended the Linguine to us!! A great recommendation i must say 🙂

It really does not get better than this! 😃 Felt the need to come back because of how great it was last time and I was certainly not disappointed!! Upon going for the Fish and Chips last time I prompted for the Pork Belly this time and blimey- It was even better!!!! As with the atmosphere, despite it being decently busy: our server, Anna, made time for us, served us promptly and consistently checked in on how we were doing. Once again I would recommend The Gipsy Moth to anyone interested 😊

Dined here yesterday and was absolutely blown away by Anna Polish diva!. She was friendly, attentive, and made me feel welcome from the start. Her knowledge of the menu helped me choose some great options because I wanted 3 fish finger sandwich and she made my dream come true. In my experience, granting any establishment a coveted "5 star google review" is, to say the least, a laughing matter. However, stepping foot into the famous Gipsy Moth pub was, in many ways, a revelation. The weather, as I recall, a raging tempest of biblical proportions. The wind and rain battering Greenwich like the fearsome kraken of old. It was there, dear reader, whilst I gripped with all my fearsome might onto the mast of the famous Cutty Sark, that I saw it. Glowing spectacularly in that misty storm like Poseidon's trident. The Gipsy Moth. I made my way post haste, practically collapsing through the door, eager to warm my weary bones. "Land Ho!" The awe inspiring interior, meticulously decorated with maritime decor, gave this ol' sailor a sight for sore eyes. As I approached the bar, still dripping from the ravenous storm, I glanced upon their fine selection of lagers, ales and all matter of brews. Needless to say, I was overwhelmed! Never in all my days has this salty sea dog been so spoilt for choice! "Perhaps, Fiddlers green!", I thought to myself! Alas, all that glitters is not gold my friends, as with this hefty selection came the burden of selecting a fine beverage. That's where Anna came in, guiding me through the bar like a trusty map and compass. She recommended a fine rum... yes, yes... it was a fine rum indeed. As I sat by the fireplace, warming my bones, my rum and sailors pipe in stow, telling the younglings of my adventures at sea; I felt peace for the first time in my life. An overwhelming, sublime peace. I shan't ever forget the kindness and hospitality Anna showed this old sea dog, along with the warmth and splendour of the Gipsy Moth. Thank you Gipsy Moth, heaven truly is, a place on earth. And with that, I bid yee farewell.

Proper pub in an iconic London location, beer garden is cracking on a sunny day. Shouts to Anna for the fab service every time I’m there!

Honestly one of my favourite pubs in Greenwich, it may be expensive, but you pay for you get. My first time at the mothy I was served by William whose enigmatic character brought our pub experience to life. As a musician you look for inspiration wherever you go, the experience of the bar and staff inspired me beyond belief. Damn.

I recently visited The Gipsy Moth, as it was my new local. The food and atmosphere was great. Anna my sever was particularly helpful, kind and made the whole experience more enjoyable. She was quick on her feet and constantly ensuring the best customer service. Will definitely be back!

Great pub, fantastic vibe, and the friendliest staff you'll ever meet. Utkristee was amazing—almost too friendly, if you ask my bank account, which wasn’t too happy by the end of the night! She made sure my glass was never empty, and now my wallet is echoing. Definitely worth it, though—I’ll be back as soon as payday hits. Highly recommend!

Food was very delicious and the service was very nice, especially the bartender named Utkristee, she was very friendly and welcoming. I will be visiting again for sure.

It is such a shame that one member of staff was outstandingly rude on New Years Eve!!! Had booked a table 7-9pm. - and at 8:45pm the rude man came and told us the next booked was here and we needed to get up. We were finishing off our drinks and at 8:55pm he came over and told us to get up so rudely!! I went and spoke to him to explain it was extremely unfairand we had booked till 9pm- he laughed and sniggered with fellow colleagues and said he needed to prepare the table! I did state to him he was extremely rude to which he rolled his eyes and walked away. Shocking behaviour - if you don't want to be pleasant then perhaps don't work on a festive day!!

In London the pub is an institution. There are numerous of them, this is certainly among the most beautiful I have visited. In particular I had the pleasure of spending Christmas lunch... Superb ATTENTION!!: FOR CHRISTMAS LUNCH YOU NEED TO BOOK A FEW WEEKS IN ADVANCE We really liked the pub and the experience was 5 stars. It may be 3 star cuisine and not exciting at all.... however I also returned after a few days I HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Had a wonderful Christmas Dinner at the gipsy moth on Christmas day. The food was so lovely and the staff and atmosphere was brilliant. I will definitely be coming back next year. Thank you to the whole team for making our day truly great.

We left the pub disappointed. I’ve asked for the burger bun to be swapped as my son doesn’t like lettuce, just to be told by a waitress it’s not possible. We paid £18 for the main and my son was sadly not happy. It’s never happened to me before. The music was far too loud too.

Quite possibly the worst pub manager in London. At least on the night we went. We just finished work and went out for a couple of Christmas drinks. A colleague recommended the Gipsy Moth. We enter and order our first drink of the evening. My colleague places his drink on the table and then proceeds to take his jacket off. His untouched pint just slides right off the table and smashes on the floor. It turns out that the table is dodgy and has a slight slope at one end. We tried to show the cold hearted bar manager that the glass just slid off. Every glass we put in that spot, a good 8 inches from the edge, just slid off the table. She saw it, her colleague saw it, we saw they saw it but she still said "make him pay" for a new drink. "Oh, if I had a pound blah blah blah", "Well, we're getting the pub renovated". So instead of decent customer service and us continuing for a few more drinks we got ripped off but that was the last money we'll ever put into that place! We went to the Coach and Horses in the market for dinner instead. I'd recommend the owners review their floor managers and get them retrained.

Couldn't recommend this place enough, the service, the atmosphere, the food, it was all incredible. I think I've found my new home away from home. Special shout out to the Australian bartender (Kristen?) above and beyond!

Work christmas dinner. Staff were great especially when dealing with some of our 'no shows'. Food was great. Table decorations were lovely. A member of your team, Bruno, did make a mistake right at the end of our evening; he charged the remaining balance of over £380 to one card! Luckily, my colleague could afford it and we can pay her back but Bruno was very reluctant to accept responsibility and even tried blaming one of us! He eventually apologised but it was a sour end to otherwise enjoyable evening.

I came in on a Sunday and managed to find a table for three people with no problem. Excellent service and very delicious steak pie. If you can, try the halloumi fries, the chipotle ketchup is great

Lovely pub settings but not so good food.. Burger was bland and basic and the steak pie was overcooked, crust was rock hard.... Edit: Went back again for the roast this time... got burnt food again - the Yorkshire pudding was burnt and very hard 😢 .. won't be going back unfortunately for the food....

We stopped here for lunch during a day out in Greenwich. Beautifully decorated for the Christmas season, warm and cosy and with a very friendly atmosphere. We all ate the fish and chips which were amazing and the service was quick even though the restaurant was quite full. We were served by Monica who was delightful and made the whole experience even better.

Thank you so much for our wonderful Christmas lunch yesterday 27/12/24. Considering we were the only ones having the festive menu and your first Christmas lunch of the season, you pulled all the stops out for us. The table looked amazing, the waiting staff were so attentive and we were impressed by how they asked us how long we’d like between courses. The food was delicious and plentiful with perfectly cooked vegetables.

What a lovely welcome when we arrived. We were lucky with our timing - definitely recommend booking a table. Service was quick and food was amazing. All the staff were friendly but it was Bruno looked after us for the majority of our visit. Place is clean and the beautifully looked after as it should be for a grade I listed building. Can’t wait to go back!

It is indeed a nice place but unfortunately prices are a bit too high. 7.50 for a pint, 18 average for a main. Nope, sorry.

Always a pleasure visiting Greenwich and the Gipsy moth. Staff are amazing and always make you feel welcome. Food was yummy. Can’t wait to come back. The Christmas lights that have gone up make it even more enjoyable.

One of our favourite places to go to in Greenwich! It can get a bit crowded do can't always get a spot to sit outside but the service and food overall is great.

Four of us ate here twice on Saturday. Lunchtime we had a couple of pizzas and in the evening we had pasta and burgers. We sat outside in the afternoon and inside in the evening. All four of us absolutely loved The Gipsy Moth. The atmosphere was great - very friendly vibe - the staff were lovely and the food was outstanding and reasonably priced. 100% recommend.

Great location! We had a couple of Guinness beers with fried halloumi cheese and olives. The place itself isn’t anything special, but the location is perfect—right between the park and the boat station.

Mixed experience really. No denying it is in a great location in wonderful Greenwich. My issue though is with the service, we've visited this pub a few times with the last time being a few days ago and it's a problem we have encountered before. We stand at the bar and wait...and wait.., now if it was busy I could understand it but we are the only people waiting to be served and we are ignored for almost 5 mins until my partner has had enough and we leave. I work in hospitality so appreciate that the staff may be busy but an acknowledgement to our presence would be nice. A quick "we'll be with you shortly" or any other gesture would be nice but instead we just stand there. Maybe we should have gone straight to a table and just ordered from there, I don't know but because of my experience in hospitality and how I was trained in greeting customers at all points I just felt underwelmed and disappointed. A shame because it is a nice place generally.

It’s amazing meals and drinks especially to go out with friends or family members and the atmosphere are great and I love the big trees at the back of the garden, I always sit in there and hug the trees at anytime when I’m going to there and all staffs are nice, kind and friendly and they never bullying you or harassing you or annoying you and I love that way to have a peaceful time with myself and eating my meals with peace without anyone around me annoying me I love peace.

For my birthday in 2023, i was given a 30-pound voucher to use for a round of drinks. I had only visited twice before. It's just incredible and special. Now, in 2024, another 30-pound voucher. So lucky :)

Best experience hands down in all of Greenrich. Not only that, they have the best cocktail in London, the pornstar. Trust me. Not pictures but the Fish & Chips are also very delightful. Highly recommend for friendly service, good drinks, and a special vibe in the atmosphere.

I love the whole vibe, the decor and atmosphere is fabulous, large menu choice, very hard to choose as it all sounded amazing! Have been a couple of times and each time the food is amazing! Really good quality and super quick service

Went for a Sunday roast. Extremely busy but in spite of this the service was generally good - a mistake with our order was quickly rectified. The starters were nice, the roast was ok. The pork belly was not the best - no crackling but the meat was tough. The roast potatoes and Yorkshires could have been better. I did enjoy the soy taste to the greens though.
