Only one of the few wet pubs in the area. Where you can finish the evening in a relaxed atmosphere. …. Since I made this review, the land lady has sadly passed away, and due to covid understandably people have not been calling in. Several temporary landlords have tried to keep the pub open as a going concern as it is the only pub in the village. If only someone would invest in the pub to make it a little gem foe people to visit once again.

Just got two parmos hot shot that was not a hot shot and had no cheese on only pepperoni and bechamel sauce on at all when we rang to complain they said the meanu only says pepperoni so not sure how you can call it a hot shot absolutely disgusting I will never return shop only offered the same again for half price

4 market place Leyburn North Yorkshire dl8 5bjWe had an excellent meal at this restaurant last night,deciding onJerk chicken cooked by the delightful Jamaican chef, who obviously loves and is very knowledgeable about cooking freshly prepared food. There was an excellent choice of other dishes on the menu.Unfortunately we were the only diners,not surprising on a cold January evening,but it was my birthday. We couldn't help thinking that it would be more viable to only open on Fridays and weekends at this time of year,considering the cost of heating the place.Glad they were open though or we wouldn't have had th e experience! This place is well worth trying as it's a bit different-not typical 'pub food',but beautifully cooked and freshly prepared food-not just heated in a microwave as happens so often.

13-19 The Square The MarketEnjoyed my first visit. The food was exceptional and the service, warm and friendly. Will definitely be going back soon!
