Thornbridge owned pub, range of Thornbridge and guest beers on keg and cask. Only had a couple but enjoyed - very nice high ceilinged main space with some smaller rooms. Entirely failed to take more than one picture, which I’ll rectify next visit.

Nice mix of old and young. Kids welcome. If you don't find a pint you like there. Then give up drinking. The pork pies look boss too. I wish I lived closer.

A great traditional pub with a variety of quality Thornbridge beers. They also have high quality progressive keg and cask guest beers on too. Probably the only pub in Sheffield still with a Full size snooker table (currently £3 an hour). Beer snack too although a little pricey. The atmosphere is great with plenty of mature students enjoying a quiet pint.

Absolutely cracking Thronbridge pub!

Great pub with plenty of really good beers on keg and cask. They're dog friendly too, always a bonus. The staff are always friendly whenever we have visited. They don't do food but do have some snacks (Scotch eggs, etc.) in the fridge. I do think it needs a refurb though as it's looking a bit dated inside. Also the men's toilets usually have that foisty not-been-cleaned smell and the beer garden has a load of grotty old sofas dotted about which, for me personally, they make it look a bit scruffy. Overall though, I do like this place, I'd recommend a visit.

Meeting with friends for a Friday evening pint. This is a pub I have visited infrequently over the years. On this occasion we initially went into the larger of the three rooms, but it was a little loud due to a large group, so we made our way into one of the smaller rooms, which was nice and cosy and had the right volume of music to both hear it and hold a conversation. The three of us then proceeded to sample a variety of the beers on offer, initally the Atryd went down well, I had the Pale Rider, although it seems a little different to what I remember. The evening continued where I tried two other beers on offer. I was taking risks with my selections, but mostly enjoyed them. The pub is well stocked with other drink offerings other than beer. The atmophere and decore is very pleasant, the staff were great, chatty and offered samples to try. A good night was had by all and I would recommend a visit to anyone that enjoys craft style beer.

The perfect drinking pub. 99% booze with the odd pork pie. Happily now has a line dedicated to alcohol free draught beer.

It's a nice place to go for a quiet pint, they do their own in-house brands as well as a few branded ciders, besides that its mostly non branded stuff and relatively cheap.

The pub in which, back in Christmas 1987, I enjoyed my first pint of Ward's! It's a Thornbridge pub these days and has hardly changed internally. The family business was located round the corner back in the day so there are strong associations with the Hallamshire. My pint of Brother Rabit was excellent. Card payment only!

In a world of chains focusing on the "public" side of things, getting as many people through the door as possible, this place puts the "house" back into "public house". You are not so much a customer but a guest. There is just something special that no specific adjective can fully justify other than cosy with its winged back, well-worn to a point of comfort, leather chairs and real fire.

A good, traditional pub with great beer and a great atmosphere.

Not a great fan of Thornbridge as a company, but this pub, i believe one of their first, has now been consistently successful for quite some time. Popular with students, it can get overly busy and loud at times, and the distressed beer garden, accessed via a steep stone staircase, is the most atmospheric part these days. Nothing wrong with the interior though, and they have retained their snooker table which is an impressive rarity. The toilets absolutely reek of urine and have done for years. Why has this never been solved?

A fantastic gem tucked away in the Sheffield nightlife scene. The staff are fantastic and the beers are wonderful. If you want somewhere to perch for a good few pints, there is nowhere better.

Awesome pub, it's a thornbridge so it's gotta be good. Great beer, staff seemed a bit overworked but we're still happy. Was in for the quiz, and it's well worth trying. Very busy but great beer and good service. 👍

This is absolutely my favourite pub in Sheffield. I'm still not entirely sure why. I think it might be the strange outdoor dungeon beneath the pub - it feels very Scandi, which I've heard is quite cool nowadays.

Not sure Good bar but the staff are not really friendly helpful or welcoming. It feels like you are just supposed to like it because it's pretentious. Still I like the atmosphere sometimes. Not a great way to do business.
