Excellent quality and service. Friendly staff and lovely views. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly, as were all other ingredients.

Me an my partner had breakfast nearly every morning we were in the iow fantastic service an very friendly staff would definitely come back again

WOW - what a beautiful location & our breakfast was gorgeous! I had a normal breakfast and my partner had large very reasonable prices! Those hash browns were incredible!! We went with our two doggies as this is a dog friendly cafe and they enjoyed the harbour for a walk too.

Ordered two bacon sandwiches and two coffees, £21 for barely cooked chewy (horrible) bacon. Coffee ok but no way close to being worth £4.50. Avoid unless you have no other options.

Stumbled on this place on a day trip with the kids. Lovely vibe and view, and the food was better than I thought it would be. So long as the kids are happy I'm happy and they loved it. Burgers were tasty!

We stopped here entirely on spec not expecting them to be able to cater for my gluten and dairy free diet.How wrong I was - - - Not only were they understanding about cross contamination but the food was cooked fresh and was tasty. Not a massive choice for me but I enjoyed the ample helping of ham,eggs and chips .Hubby had the scampi and plenty of it for sure. Soya milk was no problem and to my utter delight I spotted a gluten and dairy free cake too.Had to buy a slice to take away with me naturally ! On leaving, the chef /owner approached me and said he’d be happy to cook me something not on the menu if I let him know. Wish we’d visited at beginning of our holiday but hopefully we’ll be back next year. Thank you.

Lovely food and excellent service. We had a light lunch followed by coffee and homemade cakes, very nice and good value.

Amazing customer service! Stopped here after getting off the water taxi and were feeling a little wind swept! Can’t comment on the food as we didn’t eat but the drinks were lovely. They make a good coffee! What really impressed me was my eldest ordered a special hot chocolate and as soon as the youngest (4) saw it she started crying for marshmallows. Without missing a beat, the lady came back with a cup of marshmallows and wouldn’t take any money for them. Saved us a lot of stress! Definitely worth a stop and we will return!

Went hoping for much better after seeing the reviews, ice coffee was vile salad was awful and the cook could be heard refusing to cook as it was hot putting the poor girl at the front desk in a terrible position with a gentleman trying to get served. Instead he was told to go to the little fox where ever that is. The place also has no toilet facilities which I didn’t even think was allowed

Our second visit for breakfast and just as good as the first. Lovely staff, wonderful food and friendly fellow customers to talk too, including some gorgeous four-legged ones. And what a beautiful setting. What's not to like.

Found this lovely cafe on our way to the Fishbourne ferry. We had a delicious breakfast, the staff were very friendly, beautiful views over the estuary too......we will be back.

This cafe is in a beautiful location with fantastic views and it is very small but clean. We visited with a disabled guest and there were no toilet facilities which when ordering a meal was very inconvenient. There were some public toilets a few mins walk away across rough terrain and in torrential rain. Certainly not ideal with children in the middle of a meal. Also the terrain was not suitable for a wheelchair/pushchair. The food was adequate but very expensive for what it was. It was certainly not anything special. £4.20 for 2 cans of pop..... The staff were friendly enough but not overly welcoming. Out of 4 orders 2 were incorrect. It wasn't worth making a fuss over but it was very simple things. We were asked whether we wanted brown or white toast toast and got white when we asked for brown. Another order we asked for something not to be added and it came with it added on. Again a silly mistake and it wasn't busy . There are only 6 tables in total. I would recommend eating elsewhere. It's a shame as the location and views are lovely.

The tea and cake were fine but the waitress was extremely sullen and abrupt, so I have no intention of going again. A pity as it is within walking distance of home and is in such a lovely position. I feel I cannot recommend it to the guests at my holiday cottage - not a good advert for the island.

Lovely location. Good menu choices. Came here after visiting The Best Dressed Crab for dessert. Lemon cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding were lovely. Will definitely return in the future for a main meal. Views spectacular. Very reasonably priced.

We had a walk around the stunning Bembridge Harbour. We tried to access the Best Dressed Crab restaurant, but it was not disabled accessible. But the owner helpfully pointed us to his other cafe the Harbour View. We walked to this and had a brunch. The coffee is lovely and the breakfasts are huge and tasty. The location is also about as good as it gets, directly overlooking the harbour, where there is always something happening. I notice that they do evening meals with wine, etc, as well, so maybe we will visit again in the future.

Lovely owner rescued us in a thunderstorm. We went in to ask about the water taxi and he said it would be unlikely they would come out in the rain but offered us a lift back to our boat in his car and wouldn’t accept any payment. They couldn’t have been more helpful. Many thanks.

A great little place directly on the beach at Bembridge harbour with inside and outside seating available. I have read a few reviews complaining about the owner and to be honest i can see the Basil Fawlty comparison but when we were there it was very busy and they seemed under staffed to me so sometimes you have to take this into account and chill out a little bit, if you have to wait twenty minutes for your food then that's because they cook everything freshly and to be honest we had two breakfast's there during our recent holiday and it was fabulous and more than worth the wait. So if you are on the island and your not in a mad rush and you don't mind waiting twenty minutes for your food then give this place a try the food and views are more than worth it.

Was a lovely hot day, we’d walked along the beach early afternoon and just fancied an ice lolly! Stopped here and popped in, stood at the counter where we waited and waited in what seemed like chaos. Ignored by the staff and then after watching meals being brought out from the kitchen being taken outside, back in again ….. we were about to leave when the chap decided to check on what we were after. Didn’t have what I asked for, think that was my fault, so went for something else. Card reader put in front of me, paid not even a how much it was or a thank you, or a bye!! Needless to say, if that’s how you treat your customers, OK, it was only a small purchase on the scale of a sit down meal, but we certainly won’t be back. There are plenty of other lovely cafes on the island that we’d rather support!

We stopped off for coffee during our recent round-the-island coastal trek. This place is ‘card only’ If I had been on my own I would have walked right past and found a café that was only too happy to take my hard-earned ‘cash’. On raising the ‘card only’ issue one member of staff was quite rude. As someone who has run his own business for many years, I simply cannot fathom why anyone operating a business these days would make it difficult for customers to pay for the service you provide. As it happened, in the short time we were there, we noted two different couples enter – but then quickly leave without ordering. Not only that, both couples went un-noticed by the staff. So … four potential customers lost in a matter of seconds. As for us, one of my colleagues decided to pay for all our coffees with his ‘plastic card’ – and where he would have normally given a ‘tip’ – as this place is ‘card only’ – he decided to waive his usual ‘tip’. My ‘tip’ would have been ’don’t be rude to your customers’ and ‘start accepting that traditional method of payment known as cash’.

This is the second time that I have been for breakfast here and had to leave without it being delivered within an acceptable time. The chap at the front has a strange passive-aggressive attitude. Spouting some nonsense about staff being late and many people in front of me, rather than a simple sorry….etc. They had obviously lost the order. If they are like this before high season with less than 30% of tables taken, goodness knows what it will be like in high season! Very stressful. Won’t be returning.

Highly recommend the roast beef, cooked to perfection by the head chef. Had the best Sunday lunch in a long while. Great restaurant by the harbour. Will certainly be going back.

Just popped in for lunch. Cafe quite busy and menus out and all looked operational. Arranged to order. Staff uncertain whether they had a burger so left us and went to check with chef. Within earshot chef growled at the staff member - I told you lot this morning I was stopping cooking at 3pm. Staff Member rather embarrassed and politely let us know we could stay for drinks or return tomorrow morning at 8.30 when they would be serving food again. Just awful customer presentation. Will eat here if really forced to by necessary but unlikely. Sack the chef.
