The room was large but quite shabby and outdated. Mould covered almost every wall in the bathroom. There was stains over the carpets in the room. The room was freezing with no additional heating system appart form the small radiator. The main issue was the shower, it was just a little dribble. Once highlighted to the staff they did get on to it quickly and reported that it was back to full power, although it was improved it was still a weak dribble. They offered a room change but we were away all day so unable to move. Overall, not a great place to stay, not good value for money but could be worse.

Lovely overnight stay. Car parking next to the hotel. Very large room, and bath with a shower. Staff were really friendly. We booked direct and could have free access to the gym, spa and pool. Got a discount for a meal at the pub next door, and had a great value breakfast. Would definitely recommend

I stayed at the Highfield whilst visiting friends in Bradford. It is a family run business, and I found all the members of staff to be friendly, helpful, and professional. The room I stayed in was basic(and if I'm honest, could do with sprucing up a touch), but clean. The amenities included a TV, iron and board, a hairdryer, kettle, and a selection of breakfast drinks. On site, the hotel has its own pub(also called the Highfield, not surprisingly),a diner and an excellent wellness centre. The centre includes a decent sized gym, a sauna, a jacuzzi, and a superb saltwater pool. These are all free for the hotel's guests to use. The pub was good as well, and on Saturdays, they have live acts performing. The beer was reasonably priced as well. Breakfast is served at the hotel itself and was nice. It was a pleasant change to eat scrambled eggs that actually had taste as most places these days nuke them in the microwave. There is ample parking at the hotel, and a disabled main entrance. Access to the wellness centre can also be gained from within the hotel and this is also disabled friendly. Given the price(£70 per night on average) and the location, I would stay hete again.

This was a perfect little find - it’s tucked away behind the Highfield pub (fantastic food and amazing service) The hotel was spotless with no faults and the room was massive We got a discount off food at the pub which was really good because the food was fantastic (You should try there all day breakfast or shanks Mmm) Staff where very friendly and helpful It’s a family run business and you can see and feel this when you stay because it has all the home from home qualities more than other hotels - it’s definitely a home from home and I already can’t wait for my next visit

We stayed here for one night as a family whilst in the area for a funeral. The room was large and great for the 5 of us for a short stay. There was space in the car park and an evening arrival was not a problem. Unfortunately the TV turned itself on, with volume, at around 3am which woke most of us - no idea what was going on there and not ideal. It's a little weird that you can't even pre-book a cooked breakfast, you can only get a continental takeaway bag. This wasn't suitable for our needs so we drove to Morrisons for breakfast instead.

A lovely warm and friendly hotel. Staff were really welcoming and nothing was too much. Rooms are basic but clean and very spacious. Plenty of storage space available too. The room had Tea/coffee facilities, clean towels. The hotel has a pub attached which also serves food which was really good. A great little place especially If looking to stay away from the town centre!

Massive room, enough space to swing a lion. Generally a good comfortable stay. No breakfast included and only offered a continental take out bag for £4. But did include use of swimming pool, jacuzzi and spa facilities. I did not use or see them so no photos to show I'm afraid. Important context: My experience was a 1 night stay and does not represent this establishment in it's entirety. No-one in hospitality sets out to provide a poor experience.

Booked 2 rooms at the Highfield and a funeral buffet in June 2024. The staff, especially Sarah were just so lovely and nothing was too much trouble. During a difficult time they did so much to help and made sure everything ran smoothly. The rooms were massive, beds and pillows comfy and the setting quiet as we were at the back of the hotel. We had our dog with us and there is a garden area out the back and the on site pub is dog friendly as well. Food was excellent and good value too. Honestly could not recommend them enough. Far better to give your money to a family run hotel like this than a massive faceless chain. Thank you all so much.

I was late arriving so the receptionist waited 20 minutes after their shift for me. Room was great - large, comfortable, and very pleasant. Can’t really fault it..! Had a smashing meal at the restaurant which was very nice and bar staff were exceptionally friendly. Nice to have a nice trip!

Very friendly staff who were very welcoming. Our room was enormous with a very comfortable bed, lovely crisp white linen and fluffy pillows. The room and bathroom were clean but the decoration could do with an update. The shower was large and the water was hot but the pressure was a little less than ideal. It amuses me that Google asks you to rate location.......if it isn't right, choose a place that is!!

Stayed overnight as we attended a party next door. Staff were lovely. The lady that checked us in was fantastic ! If you're looking for a cheap get your head down this is your place . Unfortunately the hotel is in need of some magic. Leaking roofs with buckets out on the floor and Stains on furniture and some questionable curtains!! The bathroom although clean had a very damp smell about it . We were given the opportunity to use all facilities though in our package but as it was a flying visit we didn't use the pool or sauna .

The radiators are only switched on once you have checked in, and I can testify having spent an entire night here, the room did not heat up. I went to sleep cold and I woke up cold. My father at least was able to double up on the duvet, but | had no such luck as there wasn't any additional linen or blankets in the room and reception had abandoned post by 23:30 There was 'retro night' at the pub/ club that shares its car park and patrons with the hotel, but I needn't have bought tickets as the music could be heard from our room as i tried try to sleep during this pit stop on our long journey. The rooms do not have a phone and the remote control for the TV do not work. I know this to be true as we had to switch our original room, due to the heating not working at all in there, and we had the same remote control issue there. So we went from a freezing room to a cold room in the end.
