On a freezing Sunday my wife and I had put aside to watch my son play rugby we went for coffee at the hub. My wife ordered while I used the facilities outside, not much of a queue, no pressure on service and a simple order, one white coffee (my wife brings her own). After waiting 20 minutes and with no sign of the server who took my wife's order and being completely ignored by staff my frustration got the better of me and I complained about the service, but no shouting, no swearing. I was told loudly by the staff member in charge that I was being rude and I responded that actually I was putting in a complaint about poor service, that he should be doing something about. He was having none of it and it escalated into an argument where he went from pointing out that customers had little choice as there was no other cafe at the playing fields (so I could basically do one) to quite threatening behaviour, even telling me he was going to follow me outside. Responding with several 'whatever, mates' we left with my overpriced coffee. To cap it all, he rang our coach (after following us I assume to identify the team) to tell him our boys had to remove their stuff from the changing rooms as a parent had been rude ... which I thought was very petty!! However, when the boys showed up to take their stuff admittedly he did relent on that. All in all a shocking and fairly dreadful experience. Repeated by other parents who missed the entire second half when they went for drinks at half time. The Hub cafe is not doing customers a favour, they are running a business and charging through the nose for it. They should act like it .......

Pedí una bebida ya que la vista desde aquí es genial. No tenían la bebida inicial que queríamos, así que decidimos tomar vino. No estaba muy frío y en un vaso de plástico de un solo uso que no me gustó. El personal amable, aunque.

I was running a 10K race which started at The Hub in Regents Park. The Hub was easy to find and ideal for this activity. What I particularly appreciated was the opportunity for a free shower at the end of my run, which I hadn't been expecting. I thought the showers would be either over-crowded and / or expensive, so to find them almost empty and free of charge was a bonus! The Hub also proved to be ideal for my non-running husband, as the cafe provided him with coffee and a bacon sandwich while I ran. Does what it says on the tin, a sports hub in the park, so not much else to say. I found it clean, all in working order and nice to find it free of charge.

Uprostred parku si dať dobrú kávičku to je to pravé orechové pre mňa. Ochotný personál. Káva trochu drahá.

A great place for a terrific view across the park and have some light refreshments. It's quite a walk into the park near London Zoo but well worth a visit. The hill top view makes this a perfect spot to watch the world go by.

Criticise Starbucks all you like but serving a decent cup of coffee is the one thing that they do well - loads better than Costa amongst others. The only better one is Roasting Plant Coffee in the Strand but then that place is several rungs up the ladder

My mum and I popped in late July. Had a lovely milky coffee (trad caff order!) and we shared a few fresh pastries. Staff were polite and helpful and gave us a bag to take home what pastries we couldn't finish.

I’m a regular here and usually like this location. The staff are mostly friendly and it has a cozy vibe. You can sit by the window and overlook Finchley Road. Unfortunately today I had a bad experience with Georgia who was training new baristas. I scanned my Nero app to pay and was shown on my app that the payment went through. Apparently it hadn’t gone through on the till so Georgia made me show her proof of payment on my app and on my credit card statement but then argued with me that the payment was shown as pending in my Amex app, which it always is as it takes a few days for the merchant to claim the transaction. When I said that I wasn’t willing to swipe my card again and be charged double she made a rather rude comment “the payment hasn’t gone through on our end, so you’ll just walk away with a free coffee” and insisted I swipe my app again. She did give me a receipt noting that if I was indeed charged twice they would give me a refund on my next visit, however I am rather disappointed by customer service. You would think that staff would care less about a potentially free £3.55 coffee than losing a regular customer. I will not be a regular anymore at this location.
