The Iron Forge in North Lincolnshire

The server who greeted us was lovely. She was kind, chatty&even wished our daughter a happy birthday. We reserved but she gave us 2 options of where to sit. Food was delivered quickly&was hot. Everyone enjoyed it. There was 6 of us. They even went above&beyond by phoning us when our daughter left her birthday cards behind so we could turn back to collect them. Overall we enjoyed our experience&the prices are great too. Thanks for making the Mcleish's party a fab one!

If I could give a zero I would. Shocking service, microwaved food, carvery looked overdone. Absolutely disgusting food. First and last time here.

The Iron forge is always my go to for a delicious carvery. I was not disappointed on Saturday. The meat was melt in the mouth, the veg cooked to perfection. The staff always friendly and efficient

staff were friendly and helpful. the food was nice but could have been better including the portion of bread i was given with the pate as was a very small amount and had pate left over. i had to pay a lot extra for more pieces of bread which were tiny. sauce could have been tastier and a bigger jug of that. fish was a bit on the bland side but edible. veg from carvery was cold and there were no mocktails on the menu which i really wanted so opted for tap water instead. no festive drinks available.

Visited on Sunday for a carvery, was seated by Lauren after a short wait, cosy table by a window and radiator. Ordered at the bar and was served by the manager (I think, I didn’t catch his name), he was polite and quick with getting my order sorted. When I went to the carvery, the sign said ‘your carver today is Dean’ I chose Pork, it looked really nice with the crackling on top, a polite girl with glasses gave me a huge Yorkie pud I then helped myself to veggies, the roast parsnips and potato laonaise looked really nice too. The food itself was hot and tasty, I usually go for plated Sunday dinners as carvery’s can be hit or miss, but I’m glad I tried the Iron Forge out as was very impressed, not just by the food but by the service and atmosphere too. I will be back.

One of the best carverys if not the best one I have ever had, the meat which included ham beef and turkey were so soft and moist, the veg and potatoes mashed and roast were excellent Emma was very friendly when she came to our table, and the chef dean was very good at the presentation of the food as well as cooking it, well worth a visit

The last three Sundays the Wife and I have had a carvery here and to be honest it has been faultless. Works out at £12 each including a drink

not too bad, visited during the week for the carvery. the price was reasonable. the atmosphere was nice, not very busy, quiet,i imagine the weekend would be alot busier and louder. the food taste nice, would have been better if it was hotter as it was only just warm, I've had better. not tried the main menu so can't comment on that.

Well priced for the carvery,first time me and the wife have been in for about 12 months,last time we came in was with the family and the beef was like chewing a second hand flip flop,this time it was excellent,special mention for darren and dean,very polite and the service good.

Had a mix grill at the iron forge and normally I am very fussy on steak, Abbie cooked my steak to perfection it was a really enjoyable meal, service staff was amazing, Jasmine, Vanessa and Emma went above and beyond to help me

Lovely pub. Got talking to a lovely bloke called Clint, who was telling us all about his life as a chef in the merchant navy. I don’t think his brother, Shaun, liked talking about it, as he told Clint that he’s was “finished for the rest of his life”. We’ll be back.

I recently visited the iron forge and was served by jazz. She was keen to help and very friendly. One of the best bar maids I’ve seen.

Went as I've always enjoyed carveries here, but the food was far from the usual standard. My steak was well done instead of medium rare, the chips weren't great, very bland and the peas honestly looked like they'd barely been cooked.

We came out for my sister's 30th birthday and the food was cooking amazingly by Abby and the bar staff Chelsea and Connie was very accommodating with our every needs, thank you for a very joyful experience

Manager on shift has a staring problem too I have bin informed I might be getting banned for leaving a bad review what u can not do that and I will talk to a higher management team of yours for trying go out your way to ban someone who has left a review on u and how bad your service was

Excellent carvery today, served by Kev and Abbie. Met with a smile from Connie and Chelsea. Drinks served by Connie, asked if any of my family had allergies, replied no. Plenty of room between tables, Car park is ample, disabled bays near main entrance. Great children's area which is designated as a No Smoking area. Ohhh and its dog friendly too, with treats and water bowls, will bring a dog next time!!

Iron Forge is a lovely place to enjoy a nice relaxing meal and drinks. Staff go out of their way to help you in anyway they cab.

Basic pub, nice atmosphere, pretty quiet. Staff were friendly. The tables and seats are particularly sticky and a bit grufty. The food is on par with a Spoons meal but priced more expensive. Cheap and cheerful I guess

Thank you to Alex and the team. Visited with our Golden Retriever, Otis and were all made to feel welcome. Alex is now Otis' best friend as he prepared some offcuts of turkey especially for him and hand delivered them to our table personally. The whole team are clearly dog lovers, and the atmosphere reflects this. Oh, excellent food too!!

Will NOT be coming back 100 per cent. The food was cold and hunters chicken was burnt, when mentioned to staff member didn't seem bothered, didn't even offer to take back and rectify. Carvery was very poor not alot of selection vegetables what vegetables. We thought go for pudding surely carnt get that wrong, well we was wrong. Apple crumble was cold the sticky toffee pudding was clearly done in the microwave was all rubbery. Staff clearly didn't care, also the chairs were all stained went to get myself another chair for my parents but they was just as bad. Some of my parents have all been toilet already. Very angry as was a treat for them but was all left really unsatisfied. Poor tried adding more ice cream to soften the pudding 😠

Fairly decent carvery .. unsure why they put on the stuffing though and you don't help yourself , never seen that before.....

Excellent service from all staff but especially Lauren, who advised the 1 person having a carvery when the other meals were about to be brought out, so they could get theirs and eat together. Also she was explaining Marston's rigorous allergy training and procedures and listened with genuine interest to our previous experiences. Excellent free-from choices and delicious food all round. Plus 30% off mains this month!!

We called in for lunch at around 1200, it was already quite busy, the food was hot, tasty and well cooked. Carvery was great, service was great. All in all we will definitely be going again.

Carvery poor not even one descent slice of meat for £10 Potatoes not cooked neither was the cauliflower.

Attentive bar service when placing our food & drink order, friendly staff, when meals delivered there was courtesy about hot plates & quickly asked if additional sauces were required. When our plates were taken away we were asked if there was anything else that could be got for us. Always a friendly service.

Enjoyed the Sunday caverey yesterday lunchtime with friends, everyone enjoyed the food, the vegetarian in our group was happy with the selection too. The Iron Forge say's they are dog friendly, they are really dog friendly and our little furry friend enjoyed her puppychino and comfy blanket to snooze on. NB: Parties with dogs eat in the spacious bar area, away from the main restaurant, meaning everyone is happy 😊

Had a great lunch with the family, very friendly staff and tasty vegan sausages and veggie spinach pie as meat free options!

Tegan was really nice and served us really well. We used to visit on a weekly basis but the food we felt went downhill. We havnt been for over a year and thought we would take the chance and see if it has improved, and yes its has . Food great, service outstanding. Well done Iron Forge Team!
