It’s been incredible to see the drastic change implemented over the last few months the venue seems to have been breathed a new lease of life , I would like to personally thank Gareth for his hard work and determination the atmosphere is community driven we as punters enjoy having somewhere that’s a good laugh chill and welcoming!!!! The venue has it all smiling faces , good priced larger , sport in the tv and the food is pretty great too! What’s not to love . Here’s to many more evening and weekends

Great time spent at the Joiners. Good service, lovely outdoor space and friendly staff. Brilliant welcome from Gareth the manager. Will definitely be back.

Like going back to Covid times. We were subjected to a regimented airport-security style check before we were allowed in. As a party of four, this took about 15 minutes as we had to type our personal details into a screen and share a picture. Even worse, there were no staff at the bar so we left after 10 minutes. If The Joiners continues to treat customers like Covid patients - and breach their data privacy - it won’t have much of a business left.

Went here with a friend for some dinner - big mistake. Firstly, I’m gluten free and there is a gluten free menu which is great… however I went up to order my food, paid for it, to be told 10 minutes later they didn’t have it and to pick something else.. yet there was barely anything of the other gluten free stuff also available. This was specifically why my friend and I had picked this restaurant due to the menu for dietary requirements, but turned out very disappointing. In addition to this, the restaurant was tired, not particularly clean, and the service not good. Clearly very understaffed. My friend had to ask for her drink as after about 15-20 minutes it still hadn’t arrived… just a Diet Coke. Do not recommend.

We had a poor experience in so many ways, I'm baffled that there are so many positive reviews of this pub. In particular the service was very inefficient and staff indifferent, little atmosphere and beers very expensive for a mediocre place. We left after 1 and got takeouts for hotel room.

We had breakfast here a few mornings, while staying at the Travelodge over the road. Friendly staff and the food was delicious - scrambled eggs on sourdough with a perfectly fresh salad, shakshuka (baked eggs in tomato and pepper sauce) again with a lovely salad, teas and coffees. The cakes and lunchtime sandwiches and salads looked amazing and we're looking forward to trying more of the menu on a future visit. The price compares favourably with the Travelodge but the quality is much, much better.

Been in a few times. Food is reasonable. If you're not a sports fan you might think of another place for your drinking fix.

We attended the restaurant for a birthday celebration with 15 of us. Unfortunately this was not a positive experience. Steaks were served barely warm. Instead of sautéed greens these were in fact microwaved. The fish served was great so that’s a positive. Obviously the alcohol was great Service was great ok and our concerns were dealt with properly. Furniture is tired. It’s a shame as they did get the fish right and not the steak. Being a steak house that charge £41 for a ribeye you would expect a little more care being taken with the product reaching the table in a good time and HOT. Muswell Hill branch is much more organised something borehamwood branch should aim for.
