Poor service (despite being sat by the till) we had to try multiple times to get waiters attention Food was okay but multiple items on the menu were not available

We came for Christmas Eve...we felt like we were at home! Wonderful staff, food, and atmosphere. Would recommend this to anyone wanting an authentic pub in London!

Sunday lunch experience was great. The beef was delicious and plentiful and the pork was outstanding with crispy crackling. The scotch egg was runny and delicious. Croquettes great too. Best food we’ve had from a Sunday lunch for a while. The fish from the fish and chips smelt very strong and I didn’t eat it but not one of the staff asked me why. The service from staff was sporadic. There were a lot of staff but not very attentive. Not rude but not overly polite. The decor was ok with a good atmosphere but quite a few tiles are cracked and leave a slightly too lived in feel. A small refresh would add a lot. Overall the lunch was great and we will come again.

I have been in The Mall Tavern for NYE, and I loved it.

The food is superb however portions are small for what you pay. It's a busy place so the service is not great.

I hosted my birthday party here in the cellar. It was an amazing experience and everyone loved it. Nati and team were so easy to work with in the build up to the event and I would recommend hosting here to anyone!

The Mall Tavern is easily one of my favorite spots in Notting Hill. If you’re aiming for a table in the main dining area, I definitely recommend booking ahead. The roast I had there was absolutely fantastic—still one of the best I’ve had in London. The service is excellent, and the staff are incredibly friendly. Highly recommended!

At the top, except the price actually. Superb place, music, atmosphere, food that is just right. Beer gives you hope and the desire to live and the subdued atmosphere of an English Pub makes you want to talk for hours. But don't wait too long, otherwise, like the 5-person table behind us, you will choke in front of the fairly high prices!

I've always enjoyed a pint here, but after a wonderful family Xmas lunch yesterday, I now see it as a truly special pub.

They really looked after us - arranging the Christmas menu at late notice and some fantastic wines

Small pub but an amazing selection of beers that you won't really get anywhere else. Well worth a visit.

The food was tasty but not very good value for money. I had the vegan Christmas menu and the nut roast wasn't available so I only got a plate full of vegetables and combined with a dessert and non-alcoholic drink, I ended up paying more than £50 which also included the service but still, sorry, this was definitely too expensive.

We booked the upstairs room for our Christmas party, it was so nice, great to have a bit of privacy too! The food was top quality, the wine was lovely and the service was fab. Would highly recommend it! Top-class margaritas too!

Had the best dinner experience! I booked online for our friend Christmas dinner and got it wrong so we didnt get the Christmas menu. However the team was so accommodating and managed to get us crackers, a Christmas table decoration AND turkey dinner on the fly. They went above and beyond to make our night and it was wonderful! Huge thanks to KK especially, she was fabulous! The wine list is great and the cocktails were so lovely. Food on point. We’re fans now!

For two Canadians having their first British Sunday roast, everything was exceptional. The only negative is the fact we need to travel back to London to have this meal again! We ordered the beef & chicken Sunday roasts followed by the sticky toffee pudding. Everything was outstanding. Thank you for a great experience for our first night in London!

The Mall Tavern in Notting Hill offered a fantastic dining experience for our group of four. Despite arriving without a reservation, we were quickly seated and made to feel at home by the attentive staff. The atmosphere was warm and lively, perfect for a casual evening out. I came specifically for the scotch eggs, and they were absolutely worth it—golden and crispy on the outside with a perfectly cooked interior. They were so good that we ended up ordering another round just before the kitchen closed, thanks to our wonderful server, Tara, who made sure we didn’t miss out. The rest of my group opted for fish and chips and a variety of small plates, all of which were well-executed and satisfying. The kitchen’s attention to classic British pub fare was evident in every bite. To round it all off, we enjoyed plenty of beer, and the service made sure our glasses were never empty for long. With excellent food, exceptional service, and a welcoming vibe, The Mall Tavern is a standout pub. Whether you’re a local or just visiting Notting Hill, this is the perfect spot for a relaxed meal with great food and drinks. Highly recommended!

As two tourists we were so happy to have found this local pub. The atmosphere was great and the food even better. Don't forget to order the sticky toffee pudding - you won't regret it! If you can plan a little ahead, make a reservation.

Visiting from los angeles with great british friends who had never been to the mall tavern.We all had a great time ,fabulous meal and we got to sit next to Betty who told us she is 100 years old. Thanks to our wonderful (bearded) waiter for his patience with our late arriving guests.

I very rarely leave reviews, but this is the best Sunday roast I've had at a pub/restaurant. Pork was outstanding, and beef was also pink and cooked to perfection. Veg and sides were amazing. Service great, nice selection of lager which is different from most pubs. Definitely returning.

The Mall Tavern is a must go! I booked a private room for 10 friends and we enjoyed the Sunday roast menu which was delicious. Having a private room gave that feel of luxury to our Christmas get together and the staff were still very attentive despite the room being out the way. Nati in particular was the hero of the night! I'll be back to try her tiramisu which wasn't available when we went.

Worst service have in my life! Having first had to ask for at the bar for our orders to be taken. The service was non existent from that point Not only did we have to clear our own starters and wait over a hour for mains We had to mop us a spilled glass of water while staff watched. Food was all terrible and over salted and two of use couldn’t eat our food We then finally got someone to take money from us so we can get out after uneaten plates left infront of us without a check back We asked for service to be removed and was happy not take any further and just got somewhere else to eat more food and drink. They then split the bill between 4 not 5 and charged us too much When a manager came to resolve the over payment they say down and “shouted” “What do you want” We said excuse me dont shout at us for bad service and over charging us.. She then shouted at use for a few minutes and pointed out how we was some how wrong Never before in my life have I been in such a terrible situation

Mi pareja encontró esto para un asado del domingo para celebrarme después de una competencia y así que fuimos con mi perro. La mujer que dirige el lugar es impresionante, súper amable, cariñoso y no podría hacer más por ti! Ella era encantador y nos ayudó con nuestra mesa. La comida era deliciosa a pesar de la salsa tardía en un asado, pero tristemente toda la experiencia fue arruinada por una camarera extremadamente grosera que nos dijo a mí y a mi pareja y francamente nos miró como si fuéramos algo pegado a su zapato. Así que decidimos no comer pudín y marcharnos ya que ella nos había hecho sentir tan molestos e indeseables, una pena que se arruinara así.

Not coming back, lady manager is not pleasant at all, very busy and ignoring customers for 20+ minutes, beer kept at subpar conditions judging by the taste. Been a regular customer for 4+ months, but not coming back with the attitude given to me at the bar. Shame.

A perfect Sunday roast. First and foremost the food was wonderful. I had the roast beef (see the picture) - perfectly done with mounds of incredible sides. My daughter had the pork belly, lucious and rich with lovely crackling. The potatoes were crisp and delicious, and the carrots were done just right. Even better, the staff was incredibly welcoming. We made a change in our party size - no problem. We couldn't have our sides cooked in beef - no problem. Everyone was smiling and happy. We felt we were having a lunch at a friends house. Oh, and they have a phenomenal beer list, full of non-standard interesting draughts. Such a great experience, and we will be back.

We came for the music and ate the food and drank a few drinks. We were only planning to stay for the first couple of sets but the band were rocking and ended up staying until the close! Starters, Buffalo wings were epic and my partners shrimp cocktail was overflowing. Mains, Moorish bacon burger and crispy fries and a very crunchy fish and chips. Had a few of the vast selection of beers, but they have a really nice Californian pinot noir on the menu that was excellent with such different dishes. Well done to the team on a very busy Saturday night.

Pasamos la noche del sábado en la taberna Mall puertas tempranas, 6. 30 pm. Esperar a tomar la orden se estaba emitiendo en aceptable, sin embargo, fue más largo de lo que hubiera esperado para un lugar dedicado a servir una oferta de comida en volumen. Pedimos nuestra comida solo para ser dicho minutos después, no había ensalada disponible? ¿Entonces no hay aguacate disponible? 7 . Pedí tabla de queso, una losa de queso (supermercado Express viene a la mente de nuevo) como la única opción con un poco de olla de mermelada y un tipo de galleta se me presentó. Muy pobre y poco imaginativo. En una buena nota, el tipo detrás de la barra era muy servicial. Todo era tan amateur y por un billete de £ 200 + que era comida solo como bebidas compradas por separado, no me impresionó. O esto se ha convertido en el estándar aceptable de la comida ahora (que lo dudo) o el equipo de cocina fueron cambiados en muy poco tiempo y esto es lo mejor que se podía lograr? ? Con muchos años en esta industria, me decepcionó mucho.

Really great service and even better food! We loved sitting in the cellar. This was the most amazing meal of our trip, every element on the plate was amazing and well seasoned. Will definitely recommend this place!

We hired the cellar out for my wife's birthday party and had about 35 guests. Perfect setting with great food and drinks. Cellar has plenty of space and staff were incredibly helpful and attentive. Couldn't recommend anymore!

So glad that we found The Mall Tavern. They have an extensive selection of excellent ales, stouts and lagers and a guy in charge who really cares about his beers. The food was great too. We had Sunday roast beef which was great. The staff were friendly and helpful and to top it off the music was great and not too loud. We certainly hope to return next year. A highly recommended pub.

I booked the private room for my birthday celebrations and it was perfect. The food is excellent as is the wine and beer selection. The staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. The lovely waitress helped my daughter put up some decorations and brought me dessert on the house. They also let us stay in the room all evening. It was such a great way to celebrate my birthday and I highly recommend it!

A beautiful pub - nice and cosy with a good wine list. Staff are very friendly too. The roast is delicious though a maybe a bit on the pricey give (particularly given the portions seem to have shrunk). I also preferred the nut roast they used to serve vs the nut roast wellington they do now tbh.

This is the best place for a Sunday roast! The food is incredible, and the service is so friendly and helpful in deciding on what to drink with lunch too. Impressive beer and wine selection, and all reasonably priced. The atmosphere is ultra-local (one of the owners walked an older lady home following her meal) but also buzzy and fun. You may also encounter cute dogs. Get the Sunday roast beef and sticky toddy pudding for dessert!

Excellent pub and amazing staff!

Had dinner there on a Wednesday night. Dinningroom was about half full but even so the place has a nice buzz. The food menu is quite small be everything our party tried was delicious. Super attentive and helpful staff. Good selection of beers on tap.

Nati and her team are so welcoming - throughout the booking process Nati was so accommodating and helpful &on the day the lovely Aiva looked after a chaotic 23 of us absolutely amazingly, going above and beyond. I spent two hours walking from Chelsea searching for a place to enjoy a traditional Sunday roast without a reservation, and I finally found the perfect spot! After feeling a bit defeated, I arrived and immediately asked, "Is Sunday roast available?" When they replied, "Of course, just sit wherever you like," it felt like the gates of heaven had opened! Not only did they have Sunday roast on the menu, but the roast beef was incredibly tender. I think the Yorkshire pudding was even more delicious than any I’ve tasted before in York. The staff welcomed me warmly, and the salsa sauce—recommended by the staff—was absolutely delightful. I was determined to experience this British tradition before my departure, and I realized that enjoying Sunday roast at a pub without a reservation is quite a challenge. However, this place gave me a truly special experience. I can honestly say this has been the best Sunday roast of my life, and I have a feeling it will always be my top choice moving forward. Cheers to this gem! I love it! Thanks to you all, I’ve fallen even more in love with Britain.

What an amazing place to experience my very first Sunday roast! I had an absolutely phenomenal meal here—everything I had was fantastic and I would order it again without question. I highly recommend the brisket croquettes. They were cheesy and when dipped in the horseradish sauce, it got even better. The chicken and roast beef were both excellent. Well salted and perfectly cooked, I loved the chicken with the gravy and roast beef with the horseradish. To finish, I definitely recommend the sticky toffee pudding. It was warm and I hope to come back to try the tiramasu. Good idea to make a reservation for earlier in the day so they don’t run out of any roasts or desserts you might want!

1st time in this lovely family run business in Notting hill. Booked it for my birthday lunch and Natalia and Andy could not have been so welcoming. I have a catering business so know what goes on behind the scenes but they accommodated everyone's requests, even when every seat in the venue was taken. Food was excellent and well worth the price and all the staff, working very hard, but did not miss a trick. Well done to you all and thanks for making this such an enjoyable day

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at the mall tavern. We booked a table for 12 people for a birthday celebration, only to find out that they had barely any food available! They had only one portion of prawns, one fish and chips, and one seabass left, which is ridiculous for a large group booking. It’s clear they didn’t take food supplies into account, yet still accepted our reservation for 12 people. Instead of addressing the situation with some professionalism, the staff were extremely rude and dismissive about it. The manager called Nati, was beyond rude. At one point, she actually said to a friend, “Stop touching the candle, unless you want to clean the table yourself, be my guest.” I’ve never encountered anything so disrespectful from restaurant staff before. To top it off, it was my friend’s birthday, and we brought a cake to celebrate. They charged us an outrageous £5 per person for the cake, in a pub of all places! We ended up paying £60 just to serve our own cake, which cost more than the cake itself. This place clearly has no regard for customer service or planning. I do not recommend this place at all. It feels like the customers are treated like an inconvenience, and the rude waitress only made the whole experience worse. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else that values their guests.

This place was amazing, the service, the food and the people so accommodating. We happened to score the night they had music. Met the owner Andy he was so friendly. Love this place! It’s a must do when in London!

Absolute disgrace, waited a hour and a half for delivery, spoke to staff and seems like a shambles of an operation, I like the food but can’t be dealing with the incompetent staff running things, this is not the first I’ve waited a long time for an order, shape up, I won’t be back for a while!

Used the cellar for a community gathering when our usual venue was unavailable. Nati, Andy and their team went out of their way to accomodate us. Really special downstairs venue. Everyone loved the vegetarian platters from Chef Lucas. We'll definitely be using this again!

Wanted to try for a long time but never got round to it, walked in and despite being Sunday and busy Natty whom I assume was the manager found us a space. Had a delicious roast beef lunch and my son loved his pasta. All the staff were excellent, the beers impressive too. Shall be back!

A lovely Sunday lunch. We'd been in for a drink on Saturday, and after the warm welcome and friendliness of the staff then, we decided to come back for our lunch the next day. We weren't disappointed. The beef was great, as was the vegetarian nut wellington. We felt at home and not like the tourists we were!

Went here for Sunday dinner. Really wanted yorkshire pudding and prime rib dinner. This place did not disappoint. Everything was amazing. Best meal on our visit so far. Highly recommend.
