We stayed here last weekend, 7th to 8th December, Amazing 🤩 it’s a perfect location, Good car parking, spotlessly clean, we stayed in the black room (OW DO) , all the rooms have a coloured theme and so tastefully decorated, comfortable bed with well equipped en-suite We had a light lunch, very nice, and then was also booked in for our evening meal (I can definitely recommend the fish pie) you will not be disappointed, All the staff were amazing, we were treated like family and friends, Looking forward to returning next year Lesley

A fantastic stay over night excellent food and staff coming again

Visited for our friends surprise birthday party in the side room. The buffet was massive and everyone really enjoyed the party, pub and food. Worth a visit.

Shared a ham sandwich and a bowl of soup yesterday. Sounds unspectacular but the food was fantastic. Gorgeous ham, brown bread, home made coleslaw, chips, salad etc. Perfect. The soup appeared homemade also. Mushroom & Stilton. Delightful, creamy, warming. Hey. We eat quite slowly so by the time we were halfway through the soup it was a little cool. So Ruby took it back to the kitchen and the chef thinned it down and warmed it up. What service! The staff are always lovely. Great Timothy Taylors Landlord too. Thanks all. 👌

Pros: within walking distance of Haworth village without being on top of the tourist shops. Free car parking. Food very reasonable price given the location and food was delicious. Bed was super comfy and room was absolutely spotlessly clean. Staff were very, very helpful and friendly. Very cosy little place overall. Cons: we stayed on a Saturday night and we could hear the music from downstairs until gone 1AM. It wasn’t super loud and we understand we chose to stay in a pub, but it would have been nice for the music to be turned off when the bar closed at midnight. You could hear the bar quite loud in the evening in our room. Breakfast was a bit random as we were told to come downstairs at 9 but the hot food came out about 9.40. We were so hungry. The continental offer was a bit scarce. We would stay again but maybe on a Sunday night when the pub closes earlier. We’d 100% eat here again

Lovely food and a very nice pint too, Menu had a great range on it Lots of seating indoor and out plus a car park if you need it. Staff very pleasant too

We passed upon the Sun Inn by chance, large car park on opposite side of the road (free). We were greeted by very friendly and polite bar staff, we had food as well as drinks. The food was excellent I had Yorkshire hot pot which came with a dish of mixed veg and a jug of gravy, my wife had the fish pie both were very generous portions absolutely delicious 😋 my wife knocked her drink over they cleaned it up and gave her a free replacement, then she did it again, again no trouble and replaced the drink. I cannot recommend the Sun Inn enough the girls who looked after us were outstanding. Thank you very much Danny Tollerton

Outstanding food and lovely atmosphere and decor.

Had a fabulous meal at night, really good quality and decent pricing. Definitely worth a visit for a meal or just drinks.

We stayed overnight, the room was recently Refurbished to a high standard. The bed was very comfy and lovely fluffy towels. We ate lunch and breakfast which was also very good. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely return.

We visited The Old Sun for a meal, It was a Thursday (Quiz night), its popular so booking is essential. We had two mains and bottle of decent wine... Highly recommend the Chicken Kiev, this is cooked from scratch, so you have to be prepared for the wait... but its worth it!! the service was very good.

Decided to call in for a drink on Sunday. A few sips of cider, thought I would check out their menu. So I thought I would have a lite meal GFree. A small portion, but nicely presented & tasty. It was a hot day here in Haworth and the young staff were admirable in their duties, bless them. I will certainly be back soon. X

We had a one night stay here, 2 couples, 2 rooms. The rooms were lovely, clean and had everything you needed and the beds were comfortable. We can’t speak highly enough of the welcoming and friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble and the little attention to detail was brilliant. We ate here, evening meal, breakfast and Sunday lunch (when family joined us). Fantastic food and service. Thank you so much 😃

Stopped for a sandwich, well turned out to more of a full meal, warm ciabatta with beef and onion, served with chips, salad and coleslaw. Huge potion and cooked to perfection, thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommend

We would like to complement Ruby Thexton who looked after us on arrival and departure. She also served our meals . What a tremendous young woman ! Eyes on every table , anticipated customers! We were shocked to discover she is only 17 and we suspect paid the disgraceful minimal wage . Her performance deserves the full minimum wage rate but that is dependant on the values of the establishment looking after superb staff. Thank you Ruby xx

The food was lovely, large portions. Nice atmosphere. Have to give a shout out to the young girl who was behind the bar, she worked so hard, working the bar, taking food orders, delivering food. She was so attentive despite being so busy, she took the time to chat to various children, petted our dog and others. Think she deserves a pay rise!

Tremendous spot for lunch and chilling out! Really lovely pub inside. Couple of good pints - Saltaire blond and Timothy Taylor. Warm ciabatta lunch was brilliant! Big portions, tasty and good value.

Ate here Sunday night, the food was amazing, I got the Mexicana burger and it was superb. I'll definitely be back.

Beautiful room . good breakfast

The only negative I have to say about this lovely place is that often there is a time limit on the table that isn't pointed out at the time of booking, ( last time in the middle of our meal) which then makes the meal feel rushed

Just had a shared platter Sunday roast absolutely amazing 2x meats yorkshires/cauli cheese/roasters /new spuds/ carrots/broccoli/red cabbage /stuffing/pigs in blankets and gravy sooo much and cooked fabulous x Dog friendly atmosphere

A very warm, friendly pub, brilliant service with delicious food. I personally would recommend the roast, it was absolutely delicious, and my partner thoroughly enjoyed the fish and chips. Our waitress Frankie was very helpful

We have been twice this holiday and have enjoyed both times. So important that they allow dogs otherwise we could not have sat outside in the rain.

Absolutely amazing food the pie cannot be beat and the burgers wow well actually everything highly recommend.

A cozy, busy food pub with wonderful service. The food was delicious, portion sizes generous and the prices average for the area and reflective of the quality! The Sunday roast platter was very good, the gravy was to die for! It can get busy/crowded in here so make sure to pre book a table.

Great traditional pub in beautiful Howarth!

Booked a table for five, set for three, had to ask for someone to take our order, had to ask for cutlery, had to search around for salt. Quite a long wait for food, two people ordered the sizzlers but when food came waitress apologised that it wasn't sizzling any more. Food was good but for £16 could have been a bit more food on the plate. Had to go and ask what we could have for desert. When we ordered coffees we could see them sitting on the bar where staff were chatting instead of serving, had to go and get them ourselves. Overall very poor service. Only three girls to man the bar and serve the food. Not surprising we didn't leave a tip. Need to buck their ideas up.

Spot on, great food and nice and clean.

We had never been before but called in for food whilst out for the day. So glad we did the food was delicious and piping hot.

Went to this pub on a Monday afternoon for a wake. We had part of the pub "reserved". The staff were friendly, the food was great and venu was really nice.

Looks can be deceiving for this pub in Haworth, although it sounds and looks (from the outside) to be an old character pub, it isn't. It is quite modern. We had Sunday Lunch, which was okay but service was poor. Drinks were fine.

Great meal and a few beers. Food and drink were good as were the staff.

Best burger. Best Onion Rings. Perfect chips. Fresh salad. Lovely and thick butternut soup. Excellent service. This is also a dog friendly pub 😊 Will definitely call in again for lunch. Love the tables.

Beef tasted funny, did not enjoy the food

Excellent pub at the top end of Haworth (West End) so away from the main tourist hordes. Wide ranging menu with not unreasonable pricing. Large party of us and everything was cooked to perfection with quick and friendly service. They had a couple of excellent real ales on too. Nicely refurbished premises. No hesitation in recommending The Sun.

It was our 1st visit here, a party of 8 to celebrate my husband's birthday. Beautiful interior and tables well spaced out. A lovely young man took our food order. Unfortunately we waited an hour and twenty minutes before we received our food. To be fair they gave us a round of drinks because we had waited such a long time. The food was good and great portion sizes. We will revisit.

Nice pub, good food. Service was a little slow, and they ran out of roast potatoes for the Sunday roasts (it had been busy). But the meal was nice and I'd eat there again.

Top class is the Old Sun Inn, good choice of beer and a good setup for outside supping

I ordered fish and chips. The fish was over cooked and was very poor. More batter than fish and the chips tasted like they had been re cooked. I informed the girl who had served me and her reply was " I will give feedback to the chef" I noticed the girl who served us went over to her boss. Who apparently just shrugged her shoulders and walked away. No one came upto me or apologised and just seem to take no interest. I was disappointed by their actions.

Great food, friendly staff. Table a bit small for 6 of us, but we managed. Value for money, plenty of food on the plate.

Renovation work going on above the bar area,very noisy and hard to hold a conversation?? ...food was excellent, lunchtime...but the noise was distracting.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Called here for Lunch for my Wife's birthday, we've heard good things about this place, so decided to give it a go. We weren't disappointed. The food, the service the whole place is superb, not been in for years. Highly recommend this place we will be back. Everything was just spot on. Starters of Haloumi fries, Cajun Chicken strips and Cheesy Garlic Bread all quality. The Cajun Chicken Ciabatta has a fair boot to it, but it was delicious, the Burger my Mrs went for was outstanding, as was the Gammon my son had, and the Onion Rings..... I'm putting it out there now. They were the size of a steering wheel and the BEST we've ever had anywhere. Gladly the place is only 5 minutes away in the car because it's better than the hotel not far from us. I can't remember the name... named after some sisters from Thornton or sommat..🤔. We spent over £100 in both, and the food in The Old Sun was TOP CLASS. Keep up the outstanding work and high-quality food..👏👏👏👏👏 we're already looking forward to our next meal here...

We popped in for something to eat. I hadn't been to this pub for about 40 years and wow it has certainly improved. On arrival we were welcomed by Beth who took our drinks order and guided us to our table. Beth took our order for our lunchtime snack and when it arrived we were not disappointed. I had a hot roast beef sandwich and my wife a cajun chicken sandwich. Both in ciabatta bread along with beautiful salad leaves and home cooked chips. We have promised to return for their thursday night quiz, which we are looking forward to.

Another fantastic visit to The Old Sun Inn. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, always had a smile for us and made us feel very welcome. We had a few items off the menu and all were delicious. We will be returning.

Came here for my birthday for a meal with the family. It was absolutely delicious. Come such a long way from this pub since I came here many years ago. Great food, great atmosphere, and reasonably priced.

Enjoyed a lovely peaceful pint in the sunny beer garden. We weren't eating but plenty others were and they looked very happy with their meals. Nice and clean inside as well. Real ales a big bonus.

Absolutely brilliant place. Both the food and service were 5* from start to finish. I had the steak and ale pie and my husband had the lasagne, we would recommend them both. Our 1 year old tried some of our diahes too and loved them. Someone even helped me up the stairs with my pram to get inside, which really for me was going above and beyond. We will be going back 100%.

Lovely & clean, went on 1 of the busiest weekends (40s) plenty of barstaff on, the outside was rammed, the inside was busy too. Didn't wait 2 minutes to be served, found a shelf with bar stools to sit at, then after 10 mins a table came free.. The table was cleaned straight away. We ordered food which took about 10mins, & was lovely & hot.. Certainly recommend this place if you've never been...

High price to pay for a cheap beefburger. You'd expect better quality at the price charged. Chicken burgers were nice as it was a chicken breast . On a better note.. The staff were fantastic and really helpful, Shame the owner chose to use inferior grade beefburgers....

Great little pub, nice decor, clean and bright without blaring music so we could chat easily. The young lady behind the bar deserves 5 stars alone, she was just delightful and friendly and was kept very busy doing everything including answering the phone, serving food as well as drinks and clearing the tables, she is a credit and an asset to this place. Although this was just a day trip meeting up with friends we would certainly visit again next time we are in the area. The dropped star is because the chicken was a little dried up and chewy, but the rest of the food was nice and a reasonable price for these days. Thank you.

Only popped in for a pre lunch pint. Good selection of beers. We sat outside, the beer garden is mint and a good size. Inside looked spot on . Good size carpark across the road. Great pub for watching the world go by in 'Brontè' country. Would go back.
