Nice pub but not bitter and no small bottles of Prosecco . Wine is okish . Feel they Mainly cater for male lager drinkers

Hemos estado en este pub muchas veces como grupo. Las últimas veces nos hemos quedado sorprendidos por la poca gente que había allí. El personal del bar siempre ha sido servicial y amable. Lamentablemente sufrimos abusos por parte del propietario hasta el punto de gritarnos fuera del pub. Nos reunimos como grupo mensualmente como un grupo de señoras mayores. Ninguno de nosotros estaba borracho, grosero o abusivo. Apagó las luces diciendo que no estaba gastando electricidad en nosotros.

Hemos sido visitantes regulares del Prince of Wales Pub durante algún tiempo y siempre se nos ha hecho sentir muy bienvenidos. Por lo general, el pub está muy ocupado y hay un buen ambiente. Lamentablemente este no fue el caso esta noche y tuvimos una mala experiencia. Somos un grupo de voluntarios locales que nos reunimos regularmente para tomar una copa y charlar. Todos habíamos comprado bebidas y estuvimos allí alrededor de una hora y quince minutos cuando el propietario apareció y fue muy abrupto, grosero, y apagó las luces, dejándonos en la oscuridad. Estábamos a punto de comprar otra ronda de bebidas, pero en vista de la actitud de los propietarios, no lo hicimos. Reapareció y nos dijo que no éramos bienvenidos y si queríamos un pasillo, había uno al otro lado de la carretera. El pub no estaba muy ocupado y el ambiente era muy frío con solo unas pocas personas en el bar delantero. La señora que sirve en el bar era muy educado y servicial. También fue muy disculpado en la actitud de los propietarios. En vista de la actitud de los propietarios hacia nosotros, iremos a otro pub local en el futuro.

Great little local pub with good DJ and karaoke nights. Beer garden looks decent although it’s been raining both times I’ve visited so couldn’t avail of the facilities.

Cheerful barmaid happy to have a laugh. Guinness was good with 2 ale pumps. A couple of tvs (cricket and football when I was there). Lovely beer garden with a little bar and a pizza oven. Nice clean place with friendly locals.

I was disappointed to find what was once a lovely village pub to be a cocaine den now with people taking drugs in the toilets on a Saturday afternoon

The prince of wales Cheam is a wonderful place to relax. With friendly staff members and a great landlord who has a smile for everyone. Events so great guarantee to chear your mood. Karaoke nights are my best.

We had a wonderful Christmas meal with our friends at the Prince of Wales In Cheam Yesterday . It was one of the best Christmas Dinners I have eaten in a pub/ restaurant! We had 5 courses and every one was fabulous , The main course was hot and the roast potatoes crispy The Turkey and beef cooked to perfection.The Brussels had lardons ! The whole meal was delicious & the service was excellent friendly staff and the Chef who came out to see if we were enjoying it everyone was lovely . Highly recommend

Lovely pub. Really good staff. Food was lovely ,very well presented, but once left kitchen and coming into marquee it was cold, veg were not perfectly cooked but was OK. Having meals in the marquee is OK,but needs more heating ,and more importantly needs to look into how to get food from kitchen to marquee hot. Was a sit down 5 course meal for market traders .

Went to the Prince of Wales on Sunday celebrating my 23rd wedding anniversary the food was exceptional the lovely female staff could not have been any nicer if they tried cannot wait to go back, fantastic food, staff and garden.

To, Chris, Ronnie and all the staff at the Prince of Wales Cheam for their hard work,support and energy on Friday 9th July my late husbands memorial night. A special mention to the Chef and support staff for the wonderful buffet prepared for my guests. Also to the young man put in charge of waiting on my guests as they arrived. I don't normally bother writing long reviews, but in this case, it seems necessary. Went on Father's Day (not realising that is was! - there was a limited menu) and were told there would be a 20 min wait for food. It wasn't busy, so no problem. About 1 hr later, we were told it would still be another 30 minutes since they were short of kitchen staff. Eventually we got our meal 2:30 hours after we sat down!!! As we were leaving we were offered complimentary desserts, which we don't eat. Oh well, another option to reflect the poor experience would have nice. However - food; the Prawn starter was very nice. The seafood pizza was soggy (not what I'm after with a wood fired oven!), not helped by being served on the fashionable 'slice of wood', and the burger (at least they asked how we wanted it done - medium rare) was overdone. So overall, potential, but on this occasion, very poor service, and poor food. The worst thing was that a table that arrived 1hr after us got served first. Not really an inviting experience, but we will try once more...

The original Beer club went in there this weekend and it was a great night. Beer garden was really good and homemade pizza was lovely. The bar staff Ronnie Dawn and Amy and the others look after us all night and we taught them the game slaps which was funny as hell. Definitely have another lads night at the pub again.

Been drinking here many times but had family visiting so decided to have a meal on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Food and service was brilliant parents had roast dinner and o had burger. Food quality was great and we all raved about it. Will definitely be going back again.

I went to this pub at the weekend, 24.04.21, with my family (including children). The garden is lovely, all tables laid out with the social distancing measures. The staff were very polite and attentive. Compliments to the chef, the food was fantastic. Highly recommended. There was one incident, mentioned in a couple of other reviews, but it was dealt with in a very calm way by the management team. It is such a shame that it had to happen, in front of families that were trying to have a nice meal in the sun. However, 5 stars, and it will definitely not put me off from returning soon.

Had a lovely meal there on Friday. I was greeted by a staff member who took my name and talked me through there covid rules. Taken to my table and was waited on all night. The service was fantastic! To food from the outside kitchen was amazing I had a steak was cooked to perfection ! It was my first outing since lockdown as I’m very worried regarding covid but it was very safe and everyone was adhering to the covid rules which really made me feel at ease. Would definitely come again 10/10

Great local pub in the heart of Cheam. Since it’s new management took over last year it has gone from strength to strength. The garden is a hidden gem and now with the addition of the outside kitchen it has really taken on a new lease of life. Very Covid aware and well spaced seating. Loads of efficient and polite waiting staff. So we never had to wait for food. We Will be back soon.

Spent all Saturday afternoon here in the lovely sunny garden, we came to try the new menu as we had heard great remarks from friends. Food was amazing can't wait to go back and try more! Must say how great the service was too! no long waiting times to be served our drinks, the new management have made the garden so lovely and installed a firepit and pizza oven very impressive. All the staff were very attentive and so polite service was exceptional! We will be back again soon as we loved the menu & lovely atmosphere & Covid safe too, hand sanitiser everywhere etc.

I wouldn’t even give them one star. It’s such a shame as the garden is lovely, but I went with a few friends and 2 of my friends are lesbians and they was SOO homophobic towards them. The lady that works there came over and said “tone it down, your offending our customers, there is a time and place for people like you”. This made us feel so uncomfortable like we was doing something wrong? We was a couple of girls enjoying the pub garden and was told that by people that work there!? We will never be coming back to this homophobic pub!!!!!!

We had a disappointing Sunday lunch. Chicken and lamb shanks had finished, but that was acceptable as they were busy. The beef and lamb where served in a sea of gravy, Yorkshire’s hadn’t risen, roast pots ok, the meat was very nice and tender. The vegetables where awful two servings of dried out limp carrots and 4 servings of watery cauliflower cheese, the sauce has separated! The service was very good as was the beer - maybe we caught them on an off day as all other reviews are good.

My first visit since the pub is under new management and I must say I was very impressed. Great welcome and with the new Covid -19 safety measures in place felt very safe indeed. Lovely friendly staff. Garden is great and the new decor and a lovely atmosphere, can't wait to visit again soon!

Booked a table in the garden expecting to have lunch and a few drinks. On arrival friendly staff, great looking pub garden, drinks order taken on arrival, we were served our drinks at our table, when we asked for the lunch menu we were then told we do not serve food today only Wednesday to Sunday very disappointed as I could have sat here most of the afternoon.

Good food at reasonable prices. Pleasant staff. However steps were difficult for those of our party who were having to use walking sticks.

We normally meet for lunch every Tuesday and decided we needed a change. Went to the Prince of Wales for a change. What a little gold mine. The entry might not look good but once inside. Meals are prepared to order and the quality & quantity is excellent. The prices are reasonable. Our waitress was very helpful and advised us what each selection contained. Meal was lovely and hot when delivered to the table. Will recommend to all my friends

We booked the restaurant area for my Mother's Wake. From the moment of making enquiries the staff could not of been more friendly and helpful. The buffet was superb as was the service. Thoroughly recommend.

I/we visited this establishment last Saturday evening, initially for a meeting, followed by a meal. There was a good choice of excellent food, very well cooked and presented. I can heartily recommend this venue.

A very enjoyable visit to this small and pleasant pub. The Sunday lunch was most enjoyable and the staff went out of their way to look after us.

Popped in for a roast after football, delicious home cooked roast. Kids want to come back too! They offered a good choice of meats, between a family of 5 we had pork beef and lamb and they were all cooked well. Also a good choice for the vegetarian in the family. We will back soon.

Brilliant, beautiful little olde worlde pub, unspoilt and unsullied by modernisation and so called improvement. We used to go to this lovely little place regulary, as did our two lovely sons when they were younger. We have had many and varied family occasions and celebrations here - wedding receptions, wakes, birthday celebrations, christening celebrations, anniversarys, and tonight we returned after several years absence (due to caring for two sets of ancient parents) to have a celebration dinner for husbands 65th birthday. We walked into the pub, through to the dining room, and it was like walking into the past - nothing has changed. It moved me to tears I can tell you, for the memories of all the loved people who we have enjoyed time with in this beautiful little pub. But more than that - it was so lovely to find, in this day and age of the highly dubious 'new and improved' to find something just as you remember it, lovingly kept and cared for, lovely atmosphere, lovely people who make you feel welcome and valued, and scrumptious food perfectly cooked by the lovely landlord him self. What more could we ask for? Thank you to all at the Prince of Wales for making our evening so good.

I was part of a group dining here. Great service, plentiful grub, and a fantastic (large!) chicken and leek pie. Couldn't have been better!

Optamos por el plato de pescado para compartir como entrante, lo cual fue una buena porción (incluso suficiente para 4). Fui por cerdo burger sacó como un plato principal. Pero de nuevo, la comida fue excelente y una buena relación calidad-precio por menos de 8 libras. Una pinta de Doombar pimms y todo por 23 libras.Durante toda la comida la camarera era en la pelota pidiendo asegurando todo estaba bien.Sin duda volveré probablemente para aprovechar estas ofertas.Buena comida de pub relación calidad-precio.
