Great roast. Tender beef, rich gravy, perfect pudding. We also got crumble for dessert and it was one of the best I’ve had. I ate it before I could take a picture, but it had a perfect balance of fruit and custard. It wasn’t too sweet, which is perfect for me.

We are a group of friends that tend to go to this pub for a meal around Christmas time. We have never been disappointed by the food, which is always delicious. The staff are really friendly and attentive, and our experience this time was no different. The pub was busy, but we had a lovely table in the corner, and were served really well. The food was delicious, especially the chocolate and cherry brownie! Absolutely go here if you are considering a pub in Dorking. The outdoor tent in the garden is stunning at Christmas as well! Worth a visit.

The Queen’s Head did an excellent job of accommodating our choir’s party of 25 people (under a time deadline as we were due to be performing in the nearby St Paul’s Church). The service was friendly and the food good - most of us had the fish and chips which was super-tasty. Most impressive of all was the way they successfully dealt with the bill, with each person paying separately!

Fantastic lunch on a Monday for my wife's birthday, lovely ambience and well kept historic pub, nice decor, popular on a Monday when most other places are closed. Nicely done bathrooms too, clean and tidy and room temperature just right, and I note dog friendly too. Great staff, friendly and attentive, great care and attention with food and drinks. We had bread and olives, mains were chicken pie and lamb shank and finished off with apple and blackberry crumble and custard and cheeses. Was worth the expense for the experience and taste and still feel pleasantly full and contented hours later. Drinks end up quite pricey when you have 12.5% discretionary service on top but will certainly be back for what may well become our favourite eating experience in Dorking.

This was our first time visiting the Queens Head, me and my mum are moving to the area soon so we thought we'd check out the local pubs. We were so glad to come across this place, not only was it accommodating for our dog, but the tipi where we were situated was perfect! Cozy, warm, xmassy and friendly. A special mention has to go to our waiter Zeke, who was brilliant! Super attentive, ever so helpful, and friendly, when you come across someone like this it makes all the difference! And makes us want to visit again which we will be doing once we move. Thanks Zeke for being so great at your job, we hope there's a Xmas bonus coming your way! This place is a gem. I absolutely loved everything about it, the vibe was chill, the service super friendly and the food…omg the food was absolutely delicious. The best fish and chips I’ve ever had. I visited in July and my lager had some black bits floating in it. I took the beer back and the barman replaced it. When I went back for a second pint, the barman refused to acknowledge my presence at the bar for a good 5 minutes despite the pub being quiet. Even another chap at the bar shared banter with me about the rudeness of me being ignored. He must have been upset that I returned the first pint. They should be more careful with hygiene if they don't want to have customers complaining. I went to The Cricketers instead and had a pint with no floaters and got a warm welcome.

I was ignored by a server who turned round and walked off in the opposite direction whe she saw me. Ignorant girl. I was then seated by a young server who suggested a table which was opposite the bar was good enough for me! Arrogant upstart. I served a delicious meal, that upset my stomach. I was served by a youngster who did not seem happy. I was also served by a server who knew how to behave and his service was impecable. I will not be returning and advise others to seriously thi k twice before going there.

A little walk from the main part of town, with no car park. There is a car park some distance away. It's a quirky, old pub. Interesting menu and reasonably priced. I was surprised however that they don't sell the usual soft drinks such as J2O and Appletiser. The cheese board for dessert was interesting with a good choice of crackers and 3 cheeses. Mmm....would say nearer 3 star from me. The revamped Queens came recommended by friends for its food. Food was good if a bit pricy for me. The sting was the 12.5% service charge ( even on the beer we bought at the bar before sitting down). Meant a meal with drinks for 3 ( 1 main course each) was £145! Ouch. Normally I don't give reviews when disappointed as its a personal thing but that service charge...just print your actual prices on the menu....

Stepping into The Queen's Head is like being hugged by history, with its cozy ambiance and a menu that's a love letter to British cuisine. It's the kind of place where the steak is so tender, it practically serenades your taste buds, and the fish and chips are a golden-brown sonnet. The staff treat you like royalty, and the garden is a verdant realm where even the bees seem to hum in contentment. Whether you're there for a romantic rendezvous or a family feast, The Queen's Head turns a simple meal into a gastronomic gala. It's not just a pub, it's a culinary coronation!

I went to Dorking to explore the town on one of the few sunny days in recent weeks. It's a pretty town, quite hilly with some lovely old buildings dotted about. I travelled by bus as it was meant to be a nice ride through some lovely countryside. I walked quite a way and was getting hungry by 2 ish so saw the Queens head and looked in. A nice pub. My fish and chips was awesome, I try not to eat such things but it was exceptional. The chips were obviously hand cut and more like small roast potatoes and the fish batter very crisp, the fish was also cooked to perfection. I waddled up the road to catch my return bus. I didn't find the Dorking museum, oh well have to go back another day, sent my son a picture who will probably join me.

We were visiting friends who have recently moved to Dorking & we were really looking forward to a Sunday roast in a countryside pub… and this pub was perfect! When we arrived I thought this is really small place, but then they took us through the pub and into a heated big canopy seating area which was so lovely! The food was amazing & the atmosphere. The waiter we had did forget about the sauce we asked for, and had to re ask but that isn’t a biggy and didn’t have an effect on the time there. However, if you have a fear of dogs or anything, it wouldn’t be a good place to visit as the dogs are allowed where you eat and in the canopy you are sat on picnic benches so big dogs are at the level of your table where your food goes. I would absolutely return!!

We had a fab breakfast at The Reverie. Quality ingredients (including some of the best hash browns we’ve ever had), quick service and attentive, friendly staff who clearly take pride in what they do. The rain was torrential so we didn’t get to fully appreciate the setting but you immediately see how stunning it will be in better weather. Vitally, the prices are unbelievably good value. A fresh, quality breakfast for £13 is unheard of in these parts - there’s plenty of places in nearby Reigate charging a lot more for a lot less. The staff and management are clearly fully invested in making their venue the best it can be for people and it really shows - superb.

We stopped here for a little food and drink as a minor detour from a hike and while it looked charming from the outside, once we were inside we saw the following: (1) severe under-staffing (2) depressing lighting and decor (3) very shabby 'garden' area that could use a LOT of improvement and (4) quite smelly, old bathrooms with incredibly slow, weak, and unusable hand dryers that didn't seem to have been updated in decades. The food looked nice enough from a distance but as we were told there would be at least an hour's wait for us to even receive starters (due to the under-staffing) we left. Also it all looked a bit over-priced considering the environment and generally in-need-of-renovation vibe of the place.
