The Red Robin - Pub & Carvery in Wigan

We all had the carvery. The beef was cooked to perfection as were the veggies. Everyone really enjoyed their food. The staff were friendly and helpful . Lovely pub. Highly recommend.

Came as a last minute thing on NYD, Sophie the manager was exceptional and couldn't do anything more for us! Definitely a gem to have working for Greene King! X

The manager Laura made a big effort not only to remember us, but to provide us with what we wanted from the Christmas menu on our next visit because it was reserved at the time. Incredibly considerate, beautiful food and a great venue. Can't recommend enough! Happy New Years to everyone reading this and the staff at the Red Robin. P.S. The carvery is probably the best value for money I've found in Wigan :-)

Great Xmas meal today . My family all Loved it , glad we decided to have our meal with you. We’re all stuffed now will need a nap . Amanda was looking after everyone great hostess . Got colours straightaway for the kids . We will have more family outings here

We had our christmas dinner here it and it was lovely! The service and atmosphere was brilliant, we were served by Lauren who was happy to help and made the experience even more festive and fun. The food was delicious and we all had a fantastic time!

Come here alot but had too many bad meals now. Chips gammon and eggs. Eggs well done. About 3 times now it's come like they've cracked egg out box and just put it on like that. Gammon needed armbands coz it was swimming in oil. Normally it's good but like I said. Too many times it's come like that. Not be goin in there ever again. Horrible. You have to ask a question. Would they eat it like that.

Kip McGrath Friday Christmas Do was well attended. The carvery was superb. Staff were great. Especially liked the Christmas tree by the carvery. Everyone enjoyed the turkey, stuffing and cauliflower cheese. One party reveller particularly enjoyed all the vegetables, especially the carrots.

Our was very pleasant, Amelia was very polite and very quick service she also has a very nice smile

Visited the Red Robin today and wasn’t disappointed. We came at lunch time on a Tuesday and it was surprisingly busy. We had a lovely Carvery, meat and vegetables were lovely and fresh and the chef who served us was very friendly. The pub was also clean with a homely feel. Wouldn’t hesitate in recommending, we’ll be back again soon.

We went on a Sunday hadn't booked, and it was busy did not wait long to be seated. Good choice of food. Did not wait long for food to arrive. Reasonably priced. Would go again.

Nipped in for 1st time today. Only had drinks but service was good. Prices reasonable. Will be visiting again.

Lovely and Christmas feel staff nice and helpful

Didn't eat here but came here after the rugby. Thought it would be a disaster but the staff were well drilled and worked so hard. Full credit to them. There are some pubs nearby in the next town who could learn a lot from this. Mainly focusing on The Parsonage in Leigh here. 😀

The service was very good, with my online order of a food ticket and a soft drink arriving soon after I had sat down. The carvery provided a generous serving of Yorkshire pudding and turkey slices, and that left me with the task of deciding what other potatoes and vegetables to add from the collection of containers on the counter. My only criticism was that I found it difficult to reach for the additional food on the rear row beneath the hot-lamps because of the limited space and the heat absorbed by the serving utensils. Apart from that the food tasted great, although as per usual I managed to overestimate how much of the food I could handle.

I have been here on a few occasions and can rate the food highly. I went with the steak and ale pie, chips, peas and gravey. Portion sizes are generous. It's very much pub type hearty meals but there is much to choose from on the menu. Service is polite and atmosphere very homily feel. The place is ideal for families with children and there are plenty dining areas. I will probably try the carvery on the next visit. We both enjoyed our meal, and drink, a pleasant evening. The price was very reasonable, some meals under £10.

It's ok, if you're just going for drinks, staff are friendly, service is fast. Food is ok, but not always the best, so stick with something safe like chicken strips, onion rings, chips etc. Depending on the time of day, the clientele is rather questionable.. so this brings down the atmosphere. They have screens for live sport and an outdoor seating area with a screen too. Great location for the DW/The brick stadium and for the cinema and Robin Park

I went the pub to watch the football for a drink good staff called Rachel and keir and amelia and they had a goood smile and helpful and was happy

App says order breakfast from 9am, reality is different. Turn up in the rain at 10.30am and get turned away. Awful service, will not be returning. Shame as the carvery was decent.

Took my son for Sunday lunch. He had a burger, I had a roast. Both meals were ok. Drinks were served to the table. Staff checked everything was OK.

Had a Great time in this pub , we were a family in for a birthday meal. on Sunday . Amanda her badge said and a girl she said was called Jess were great . The pub was busy but we felt well looked after . Jess also brought out the cake and sang to So thanks for making that day special. All the team here work hard and especially when we were in and that pub is big . We will be back for more family outings

The last time I had a Carvery was around 10 years ago, and it wasn't a good experience, and I said I'd never go to another, ever again. But my son talked me into going for one here, and I'm So glad he did. Wow! Everything I had was cooked to perfection, and I have to say, I don't think I've ever had veg that tasted so good, whoever's cooking in the back, certainly knows what they're doing, we both had the Large, and it honestly didn't look like there was much on my plate, but the plates are pretty big, so it can be misleading, I ended up leaving a bit (sorry) but not without trying to shift it all, it was too good to leave. Obviously, we'll be back for more in the near future. Thank you, you've given me faith in the Carvery again. Hats off to the Chef.

Went for a carvery, the portion sizes are HUGE! Really enjoyed it and had a big box to take home aswell for a meal each for my 3 dogs! (Which they were very pleased about) 😀 Beautiful dinner and so generous with the portions will definitely be back! Lovely pub 👌

Please go eat somewhere else. I thought the food quality would have changed over the years but I was completely wrong. The burger tasted awful. The halloumi salad was salty thrown together with some crappy ice berg lettuce. The all day breakfast was just sad the sausages tasted old. Expensive for 0/10 food!

It's a pub serving fast food. Beer selection is typical pub with only one cask ale on our visit. The food was not too great and the fries were cooked in old oil... Not nice really. Staff helpful and keen to assist.

Excellent carvery but a bit pricey on drinks.

We had carveries and the food was terrible. It's the worst carvery we've ever had. We were given the scraps of gammon that were hard as they'd been under the heat lights for I don't know how long. We also had the scraps of Turkey and Beef with quite a bit of fat on. We expected them to bring in fresh joints of meat. We'll never go there again.

Eat regularly here. Unfortunately the cooking of the vegetables has become terrible. The cauliflower and the carrots seem to have never seen boiling water. Uncooked! Last time also, the beef was gristly and tough. The turkey is always good. More careful selection of the beef joints really.

Took the 3 kids here last week, all the food I could cook at home and not worth the price tag, eldest lad was denied entry which was irritating

Used The Red Robin both before and after a recent gig at Robin Park. Very handy for being both dropped off and collected by taxi. We had food prior to the gig, standard Greene King fare. You get what you pay for. The staff were super helpful and friendly, despite the pub being rammed with gig goers.

First time and discovered a nice place to visit again. Carvery was very good. Prices are reasonable and great service from the staff who are very friendly and helpful. One thing have to say though is the Yorkshire Pudding. They are miss labelled. The are not puddings but giant gravy buckets You could fit a pint of gravy in one. Overall a very pleasant place and though not local will definitely visit again

The food is what it is. I chose to sit in the bar area as they don't allow children (screaming or otherwise) im this part. The tables were very sticky and the staff don't seem very attentive

We were there as a family of 7 on Sunday. We always enjoy the carvery, its usually delicious. Unfortunately the roast potatoes were inedible, they were so hard it was impossible to cut them with a knife never mind eat them. So disappointed. 🤨
