What a lovely place to eat, very stylish and the staff were super helpful. But please don't order the chicken pie. It was dry and tasteless . Otherwise we had a really good couple of hours there. Ps the Cocktails are great 👍

Excellent place- had our Christmas works breakfast here and was perfect. The made us a buffet breakfast and was 1st class. The place is really big and very nice inside I didn't realise how big it was inside looking from the outside.

This being the first time in Birmingham and trying out something new, the food and especially the service, everything was really amazing. It is my birthday today as well and they surprised by singing happy birthday to me with a birthday dessert- ish. Thank you so much. I'll definitely be back soon.

The food was nice, nothing out of the ordinary just decent bar stuff. The beer was good, decent selection as was the wine. The darts is fun and saves you doing the counting yourself, although probably a bit expensive for what it is. Can't blame them though as it's the only USP, otherwise it'd just be another bar/restaurant. Overall, I'd recommend and return

I attended the rolling mill on the 20th December 2024 with 9 other friends for a xmas get together. The ambience was festive, and restaurant looked lovely. My friends were impressed with my choice. Unfortunately, we could not chose from the Christmas meal menu as this needed to be prebooked. All meals came out in a timely fashion and most people were satisfied with their meals. My friend and I had both ordered the Beef Bourguignon, we were both happy with our choice as the portion was large, however, after a few bites, I chewed on pork meat. I called the waiter and asked if there was pork in this dish as there is no mention of it on the menu. The waiter confirmed there is indeed pork added to the sauce! Both my friend and I do not eat Pork for religious reasons! We explained this to the waiter and the reaction was that of dis-interest..No apology was given either. I contacted the rolling mill via their message/email service to state the importance of correct info of ingredients on their menu to prevent anymore people from eating this dish who do not eat pork. Unfortunately, no reply to my message. This is a shame as the lack of response by both the waiter and the admin team has soured what was mainly a good experience.

The decor in the restaurant is very trendy. The staff were friendly, but the food took a while, even though it was not overly busy. My food order was wrong, but the correct dish arrived quickly although a little tasteless (bolognese fries) and the salmon was very small and overcooked for the price. Butternut and chicken wings starters were good, Thai chicken, the pie main and desserts were good although apple tart was cold (with hot custard!) I think for the quality the price point is slightly high.

Sunday roast was delicious, definitely recommended.

I visited yesterday with my brother and sister in law. The food was great. The fish and chips I had was delicious just the curry sauce was so thin and watery it tasted of nothing. However the fish and chips were great. My brother ordered a pizza. Sister in law ordered spicy fries and mac and cheese.

Visited on Friday with my wife. I have to say the cocktails are great. Speedy and amazing service by Kelly. Food wise very tasty options and the biscoff cheesecake is unreal. The venue is beautiful I'am a sucker for themed decorations the Christmas tree is also amazing :)

About Last Night ✨🍕🎄 PR/INVITED Big thank you to @therollingmill for inviting us to come try some of the menu much appreciated Here is a little breakdown of the evening: This hidden gem is located in the jewellery quarter of Birmingham don’t be deceived the venue is much bigger than it may appear at first glance 💯 Vibe: lots of Christmas and larger bookings were coming in, upbeat music with great service from all members of staff especially our server ( Kelley ) We ordered -The good Italian pizza if you love cheese you will definitely enjoy this…. Superrrr Cheesy. -Rosemary truffle fries very nice side for the pizza as we decided to share plates. Unfortunately the mac and cheese was sold out but maybe next time. -Biscoff Cheesecake X2 unreal dessert this was for sure our favorite dish we tried great portion size as well 🫶🏾 Drinks: -The zinfandel rose light and fruity what more could you ask for. -Apple spice Spiced rum cocktail this was recommended by our server 10/10 from the Christmas menu -Espresso Martini ( classic ) But one of the nicest ones I have ever tried. The venue offers a Christmas menu, the a la carte has some different options before 6pm And outside December the venue also offers a bottomless brunch. Overall a fantastic experience if you are in the area. You can also play darts near the entrance and in other seasons. This place will definitely not disappoint in terms of decorations service and attention to detail.

Pizza was lovely, as was the atmosphere. We were served by Kelly who was bubbly and friendly and a great server. Beer selection could be better, but that is splitting hairs.

Must be change of management and staff. Steak rubbery, lamb unedible. Extortionate prices for poor service and bad food. Only saving grace was Fish and chips

Our waitress Kelly was great. She was very helpful and explained really when I asked her questions. My food wasn’t all that and it wasn’t hot (borderline cold) but my hot chocolate and early grey was nice. I got the vegetarian small breakfast. Where we were sat was actually quite cold so I had my jacket on for the most part. I would come back again to try something outside of breakfast.

No one about so left but building looks nice

We waited an hour and a half for the food to come. The food came out sporadically, some of our party had finished their meals while others were still waiting for theirs. By the time the deserts had arrived, some of the party had left as they were fed up of waiting. Diabolical service.

Nice place to eat. Food was good, avoid the rice dishes it's nott cooked the best and was a sticky and stodgy. Decor is great, plenty of staff to keep you topped up with drinks and our table 20 were all served food at the same time. Lots of space in there gives a feel to the place. Toilets were oddly hot - felt tropical in there.

I have mixed feelings about our experience here. The food was great, with the tacos being a standout, and the atmosphere was nice, but our experience was unfortunately tainted by the behavior of the staff, specifically the manager, Tony. When we ordered a vodka with coke, we were told the price would be around £6.50 for a single and £8.50 for a double. However, when the bill came, we were charged £12 for a double vodka, with Grey Goose vodka added without our knowledge. We asked about the discrepancy, and instead of addressing our concern professionally, we were told that "everything is written in the menu" and were brushed off. What followed was truly unacceptable. Tony, the manager, became visibly frustrated and rude. He didn’t address our question and instead turned his attention to our kids, who were patiently waiting. He accused them of being disrespectful, even though they hadn't done anything wrong, and shouted at them, claiming they damaged the restaurant. He threw the bill on our table, all while shaking with anger. As a manager, his behavior was shocking. Managers are supposed to de-escalate situations and maintain a calm and professional demeanor, but Tony did the complete opposite. I hope this feedback helps the restaurant improve its customer service and reconsider how they handle difficult situations. This was a very disappointing experience, and unfortunately, it overshadowed what could have been a great meal.

We celebrated our joint birthdays here and had a fabulous time. The place looks bigger than it does on the outside. We all had Sunday roasts, which were delicious. The beef was tender, flavoursome and cooked very well. The vegetarian feta pie was full flavour. All came was generous portions of trimmings. The service was friendly and prompt and we enjoyed the cheery atmosphere. We would definitely be back again.

Disappointed, we went across the city during a rainy day and expected a traditional Sunday lunch. Though limited meat options - no turkey and pork. We had Sunday choice roast lamb and beef. Very good presentation though the food is overpriced and the meat was just about two thin slices, the roasted potatoes were like not freshly cooked. The gravy was like from a tin. We had some stomach problems afterwards. The spicy pumpkin cake and the espresso are good. The waiters are very kind and good though waited a while to be served. The service charge is automatically included in the bill satisfied or not with the visit. Not sure that we will go again there.

Very lacklustre breakfast today at The Rolling Mill. Gone downhill IMO. Good service though!

Gorgeous full veggie breakfast in this hidden gem of a converted mill. Absolutely fabulous coffee too. Staff are very friendly and attentive too. Great experience.

This is a stunning venue, the décor well thought out, modern with a rustic feel. Staff are attentive and the food is of fine dining quality. I would also recommend stopping at the bar before you leave for some unique cocktails. Overall, The Rolling Mill is a diamond of venue and well worth a visit if you find yourself near Birmingham's Jewelry quarter or have a special occasion to celebrate. ------------------------------------ On return to Rolling Mill, I was equally impressed, the standard of food is just as good, if not better. This time I opted for the shin of beef which was melt in the mouth and piping hot. with a rich decedent gravy and fluffy mashed potatoes. This place is an absolute treat and worth every penny.

We always go there for the gluten free selection, can't fault them for that. Staff are always friendly. We waited over an hour for food last time, staff were apologetic. We understood, it was quite busy but would have appreciated a heads up about this. Food was ok, wouldn't say it was worth the price. I also absolutely hated the plates the burgers were served in, basically two bowls. We had to put napkins on the table to be able to move things around and eat the burgers with knives and forks (these are not burgers you can eat with hands). Absolutely not practical, I hate when places try to do all these fancy plates but trying to eat out of them is a nightmare!

I have attended here multiple times for breakfast with work colleagues, and I feel the service has progressively declined. I returned with a different group of colleagues for another view, to be disappointed again. We attend normally between 9 and 10am and we are usually the only customers present. But most recently, a group of 7 attended and ordered 5 coffees, 2 teas, and 6 breakfasts. The drinks took 20 minutes to arrive, and arrived warm, not hot. Out of the 6 breakfasts, 4 arrived, 2 full english with burnt items, but the main issue being two breakfasts did not arrive. We were advised there had been an issue with new menu items not being in the ordering system, which goes to the kitchen. After a very apologetic waitress explained the failure, our breakfasts were made, arriving 15 mins after everyone had finished eating. Once our breakfasts arrived, which were 'mashy mashy', essentially smashed avocado on a muffin with poached egg and hollandaise sauce, we were again disappointed. The muffin was toasted yet cold, the avocado mash was full of coriander, which the menu makes no mention of, and neither of us like. This had been served straight from the fridge as it was cold. The poached eggs were warm but like hard boiled eggs, and one yolkless. All topped with luke warm tasteless hollandaise. Needless to say I ate one bite and left the rest. After waiting 45 minutes for food in an empty venue, I wasn't prepared to wait any longer to be served more cold food. The other dishes came mainly warm, but overdone also. On previous occasions, I have ordered the french toast from here, which had been cooked on the same griddle as the full English as I could taste the bacon on the bottom of the burnt toast. A similar experience with the pancakes, I could taste meat fat on them. Completely unacceptable if any diner was to be a vegetarian. Two colleagues had ordered separately and paid for their food, which were only scrambled eggs on toast, as they had a meeting 1 hour later. Their food came after everyone else's, and they had to leave half of it as it took 45 mins from ordering for it to arrive. Unbelievable given the explanation of 'can we order first and separately as we have a meeting in just over an hour'. The cutlery is blunt, we had to ask for steak knives to cut toast and muffins as the normal knives were blunt. On this last occasion, we were offered one meal off the bill for the inconvenience, but I certainly won't be returning after so many flawed experiences despite my patience with the place.

Wow. The first bite of the beef and bacon burger literally took me back to the early nighties at the Real McCoy in Preston which was THE burger restaurant in the area. Anybody from their Preston Poly days would probably reminisce at this point. That’s the first time food and given me a sense of time travelling - superb. Great venue which even mid-week had a buzz to it. Super friendly service as well. I guess I need to return. 5*

First time here and very impressed. The building has been lovingly restored and looks very impressive. Food was excellent and our waitress fantastic. My only complaint was the toilets room has under floor heating and it felt like a sauna in there, like you could feel the heat in your mouth 😅 Overall though excellent

We dropped by here for dinner and got a table without a booking on a Friday evening. The place looks great and it's a lot bigger than it seems from the outside. They have a decent selection of food and all the food we had was tasty. They have a decent selection of drinks as well, though the Margarita failed to impress so we stuck to beers. The prices are quite high and they also add a 10% charge - a ridiculous money-grabbing practice that needs to stop, so -1 star for that.

Where to begin!! The most incredible restaurant I have EVER been to!! Service was incredible from the moment we walked in and the food was honestly the best I have ever had. Incredible wine, pizza to die for and dessert you don't want to end. We will definitely be back!!! Thank you so much 🫶

This was recommended to us by one of the local jewellers and what a great choice for a mid week lunch. Kelly served us and what a fab job she did, her customer service is second to none. The food was delicious and the triple cooked chips were to die for! Lovely venue, really enjoyed the experience. Happy birthday Kelly from one Scorpio to another!!

Food tasted good, Korean chicken had very good flavour but dry in the middle. Poached egg came overdone however the issue was sorted by staff providing a new egg. Amazing appetisers including the pork belly bites and bao buns. The garlic bread ‘side’ was more of a full size pizza. Overall good food with good portions. Our server Abigail was amazing.

Gem of a restaurant spacious beautiful decor and menu to cater for all one's needs.Served in a timely manner fresh and hot and very tasty and tartar sauce one of the best I've ever had!To top a great meal service from start to finish was top class. We left a tip for our server a young lady outside of service charge could do with this kind of restaurant in ireland soo positive on all fronts ans well done we will happily be back in the future 💯

We really enjoyed our meal at The Rolling Mill! We loved the starters - highly recommend the Pork Belly Bites and the Short Beef Rib Bao Buns 😍 Onto the mains - the steak was cooked a perfect medium rare as requested and had a gorgeous garlic marinade. The vinaigrette on the salad had a punch to it that I really liked - and I don’t usually like salad 😅 The loaded fries as an add-on were delicious and very filling. We enjoyed the onion rings that came with this too. We were really looking forward to the Chicken tikka pizza, but unfortunately we were left a bit disappointed with this. The dough was chewy with no crisp to it, and we couldn’t taste much of the tikka sauce, mostly chilli. We had the Biscoff cheesecake for dessert and this was stunning! We loved it. We really enjoyed our cocktails too, particularly the Cookie Espresso Martini!

Very nice atmosphere and amazing food. Wild highly recommended the 2 for 1 burgers on a Tuesday. Had Abigail as our server and she was lovely, very quick and friendly service. Would highly recommend

Love this spot, it’s near to our hearts. I’m gluten free so usually struggle to pick options in the menu but George our server was able to give us advice on that. George was very helpful & calming, 5* service. No complaints and compliments to Ash for my salted caramel latte (chefs kiss)

We were served by George. George was really attentive and didn't leave us waiting to be served and was quick to get our drinks. The resturant has a good presence of service and I didn't feel that help wasn't too far away. Excellent service

My friend had travelled up from London to view properties in the Jewellery Quarter, the estate agent recommended the Rolling Mill and we were not disappointed. The food was first class and, Kelly, the wonderful staff member who looked after us was warm and friendly, she could not do enough for us! 😊 The exposed red brick walls and high industrial-looking ceilings all helped to create a great ambience. I would definitely recommend this venue for either drinks or food. Thank you! Karl

Worst bottomless brunch I’ve ever had. Awful service and staff members argued with us claiming we were informed when the brunch started, but this was not the case. Wait time between drinks was awful. We had to wave staff members over for orders. I never complain but I was so disappointed with this. They have no idea how to deal with customer complaints.

They cannot handle a large party (28), even when receiving food orders with names in advance. Our table was booked for 11 am breakfast, and drink orders were taken. However, the first meal wasn't served until 12 pm, and the last person received their food at 12:40 pm. To make matters worse, some of the meals were served cold, and others were incorrect. I spoke to someone about it (could have been the manager/ supervisor), and they had every excuse they could think of, even saying we weren't all seated at 11 am. I pointed out the orders and names were received in advance, so it shouldn't have taken an hour before the first meal was served. It was disappointing that despite the inconvenience we experienced, we weren't offered any compensation, which we believe would have been a fair gesture.

This place is like the Dr. Who`s Tardis, small from the outside and very big inside. Had a Sunday Lunch with some friends and wow best Sunday Roast I have had so far. The beef is tender and full of juice and not dry at all. The Chicken is also tender and full of juice. The place is very nice and friendly. Also it is a good place to have a beer or 2 and watch the sports on the TV.

What an amazing place! Very spacious and open. Plenty tables to choose from. Great interior. We had breakfast there and qe really liked it. Great place for food and drinks.

An epic bottomless brunch. The Rolling Mill offer a bottomless brunch on fridays and saturdays. £44.95 for 2 courses and a really nice variety of drinks. The portions are huge and the food was beautiful, definitley one of the better bottomess brunches food and drink wise. Im pretty sure the brunch lasts 2 hours Cockatils are made to orders so hger quality than most BBs. The BB is actually on an evening on a friday, great for after work events.

The food was very ‘elevated pub grub’ but nonetheless it tasted pretty good. The vibes were great with a great playlist in the background and staff were super friendly and sweet.

Wonderful place for food and drinks! Went for a Sunday roast and couldn't fault it! I also went couple of weeks ago for drinks and light snacks. I'd say the Sunday roast was wonderful, recommend this rather than having side dishes. Great service as always.

Everything was very, very slow, breakfast took an hour to arrive and when it did it was was wrong but no one checked back. We had to fetch our own sauce as we gave up waiting. There were a lot of people working but no one apologised for the wait. Very frustrating.

Heard some great things about this place, so we booked a table & tried the Sunday roast. My partner had the Lamb & I had the beef. The lamb roast had more meat than my beef roast, I guess that's down to it being a popular one, Nicely done vegetables,Large Yorkshire pudding & two sides which were Pigs in blankets & red cabbage,Great tasting food & attentive staff. Really deceiving from the outside street...This place is like a Tardis! Extending back into what looks like a converted industrial workshop...like most places round there! But tastefully done. We'll be back to try something else on the menu.As there's quite a good selection. Good cocktails & selection of beers... Tram stop nearby..And parking is free in the JQ On Sunday. 👍🏻👍🏻🍻🥂

Nice pub, good food, great service

The food was amazing. We had the Superfood Salad with smoked salmon and the Minute Steak Baguette. Both were delicious; extremely flavourful and tasty. The building has been renovated and designed to a great standard, keeping the industrial feel of its original purpose while adding in modern touches that make the ambiance welcoming and interesting. Service was top-notch, with the wait staff being attentive and helpful throughout. We will definitely return in the future.

I had Sunday roast here recently. I received 2 very small and thin pieces of beef . I cut off a third of this as fat. Staff who served me were brill but the quantity of beef was appalling. I should have complained on the day. I then went to The Red Lion nearby for Sunday roast and received 4 times the amount of beef (not kidding) with no fat - melted in the mouth. Someone is responsible for such appalling ration of beef at The Rolling Mill. I suspect owner / management and the chef was probably embarrassed.

Been here a few times now, always had a good time. The place doesn't seem as big from the street, but when you walk in and go further down the stairs, you get the "wow" factor. Tasty food, cool cocktails, would recommend 😍👍🏻

A few friends and i went out for a few drinks and to have a bite to eat. Lovely food and a nice pleasant setting. Staff friendly and willing to make us feel welcome.

What a great brew pub type place! The space is a huge old factory kept in tact with great character. There is a lot of light, it is very comfortable, and there is a large, diverse menuu. Everyone is super friendly as well we had a great time. We were not super hungry so just had a pizza - the good italian - a ny-style pie with smokey pepperoni, spicy nduja, parmesan & oregano oil; and a house salad. Both were great and we would definitely come back. Go!

A MUST visit spot in Birmingham. With a great variety of foods, drinks, private room hires and interactive darts. Great portion sizes, amazing staff and lovely atmosphere. I’ve visited here a few times and never had a bad experience. The spicy chicken wings have been the same thing I’ve always ordered, I just love a chicken wing starter and it’s always consistently good 🤩 the chop was such a generous portion I absolutely loved the vegetables that it came with, so yummy!! My partner and I came for bref at the rolling mill we been served by the lovely Abigail she was absolutely good and with care we had 2 full English usually I’m not a big fan .. but this one was worth it perfect temperature perfect portion I recommended !!!!

Love this place, been here several times for lunch and dinner with family and friends. Service is always good. Atmosphere great. Food is scrumptious and prices are very reasonable. They have a sports bar and a contemporary styled restaurant.

Reshi was great, helpful and knowledgeable. Really sorry we didn't have any cash for a tip.be mindful that you cannot tip via card.

Atmospheric factory conversion eatery. Good food and quality drinks served by attentive polite staff. Accessible for wheelchair users. Close to rail station. This second visit was marred by quite loud music which in itself tends to lower the tone of dining venues.

I have eaten here a few times recently, in various group sizes. Great service, friendly, attentive and proactive to accommodate last minute requirements like water off a ducks back. Several GF options on their menu with all those I've enjoyed being fresh and very tasty. Really can't fault this place. Worth a visit either for just drinks or drinks and dining. Recommended, especially if you want a good gluten free spot.

I really belive this place is one of birminghams best places to go. Its perfect in every way. The place is amazing, the staff are brilliant, the food is fantastic. Can not find any faults whatsoever.

I'll only mark down the atmosphere by one star, the decor is great and cohesive to what this place is trying to offer; i only marked it down slightly because 5/5 on everything is quite amazing, but they had a couple of bulbs gone out where we were sitting... Best service I've had without being in a Michelin star place, and this was more relaxed and dare i say more genuine, Kelly is an exceptional waitress and truly gifted in hospitality may, she go far in it. I'm glad to see that good service still exists in this day and age where so often you are met with people who are just doing a job and don't want to help you, this woman couldn't do enough for us. Very humbling indeed. All the food on the table looked fantastic my food and what o sampled of others was great. Everything worked together to deliver an amazing night out, worthy of writing a review for. Very thankful for everyone involved, keep up the good work.

The restaurant at the back has a nice relaxed atmosphere, lovely waiting staff and good food though I wasn't a fan of the Korean chicken I had, which was a pity, was jealous of everyone else's dishes. lol The foccacia and pruscetta starter was delicious

Was expecting great things after waiting 20 mins for a beef roast, the food came out luke warm which was disappointing they also refused to change a portion of rice over amd wanted to charge us overall 2 outta wont be back

Visits The Rolling Mill on Sunday and the whole experience from start to finish was terrible! Once we ordered our food he had to wait over an hour for our food after being told the wait would be 30 minutes. Once food arrived the ‘slow cooked roast lamb’ was fatty and tough, the chicken wings were raw and the chocolate brownie contained nuts which was not stated on the menu - we did notify the waiter that there was a nut allergy on the table so it was lucky that we spotted the nuts before it was eaten. The management team were not really interested in our complaints just offering 25% off the bill which they thought would resolve the issues. I felt completely ripped off at this restaurant and will not be returning again and I am even considering taking my complains further. If they can’t cope with the volume of people on a busy day they shouldn’t book the tables up or better still get extra staff to deal with busy times!

A wonderful team of friendly staff who clearly enjoy welcoming guests to their venue as much as the guests enjoy coming. Cauliflower steak was a good, spiced, marinated type. Fish & Chips succulent.

Stunning venue in JQ with an assuming front but a grand beautiful inside! As soon as you walk in you’re met with a dark bar but as you go through to the back there’s a bright and airy well designed industrial style restaurant. Food was great but quite expensive although very taste and large portions, well seasoned and a fairly good menu to choose from. We went for a Sunday toast but also look out for the deals they do during the week. Definitely more of a venue where you plan to visit in advance rather than just show up due to how busy it gets and the price. Spent a similar amount as a fine dining restaurant in the area. Would be great for big groups however. Service was friendly and attentive although we had three different servers in the short space of time we were there. Looking forward to my next visit, it’s just the price is more for an occasion rather than a casual visit

My daughter and I have just come back from what I can describe as the best dining experience for some time. It was a Monday as well, but it just goes to show the level of consistency of the food provided was of a very high standard. I had the Korean half-roast chicken which was both moist and flavoursome at the same time. This was accompanied by a bowl of rice and vegetables that I would have eaten on its own. My daughter had the oven-baked salmon, which was cooked to perfection, along with the rice, spinach, avocado, and honey. Also, special mention to the staff who served us, Kelly & Mac, who were attentive and smiling throughout our service. A real credit to the Rolling Mill, including all the kitchen staff. Wow what a Monday Evening, I certainly wasn't expecting that!

Do love this place. 2 for 1 pizza night and they run out of pizza by 6.30pm. They alsl ran out of multiple other ingredients. But Mac our waiter was w exemplary in assisting us and doing his best by us in recompense. I will always rerun because the vibe service and food are always great.

First visit to the Rolling Mill. It's brilliant. Great food. Relaxed atmosphere with friendly and attentive staff. 5 stars no problem.

Really nice place especially in the second part.. we ate divinely.. they served us immediately.. there is a very varied menu... from pizza to meat.. (but the pizza for us Italians was just passable... it turned out to be very biscuity.. ) better to focus on everything else that they don't know how to do!!!! but I really recommend it!!!!better to book!!!

Very promising atmosphere, interior and food range. Place to come with your family or friends either for nice dinner or couple of drinks.

All the staff are really nice. We came in for the 2-4-1 pizza on a Monday. Karan served us and he was great!
