A typical English place, it is a pub where they serve quality beers and some local cuisine. Very good fish and chips, friendly staff and quick service.

Busy on a Sunday afternoon, not many pubs open in the area. A christening party and Chelsea on the tv swelled the numbers. Lovely little pub.

We had a large group booked for just before the kitchen closed and were a little late and the team pulled out all the stops to accommodate us and ensure we had a great evening, which was hugely appreciated. Also great and proactive about someone in our group with severe allergies

Great lively little pub in London. Even better after the latest makeover. And not too expensive considering where it is. Also had massive outside space which is rare in the city. The licensee is very approachable

Nice find, stopped by for a beer, food looks good, we only had a bowl of chips with our beer. The the best pint of beer all day we would have stayed longer but we wanted to see more of London and what it had to offer.

With a different menu from other pubs, it offers more typical dishes and with a more refined preparation, the variety of English and European beers is excellent; the price of the beers is average, the dishes a few pounds more but it's all worth it

Great pub right in the middle of the City. Convenient for informal meetings over a quick pint. Food is good. Katya is a great host, always friendly and helpful.

Great little pub in the traditional style. Unfortunately the service was terrible and surly. Even though it wasn’t too busy there seemed to be a lack of service and no hurry to take orders. A shame as it is a cute little place.

Why on earth do people here stand outside and drink? Every time I see it, I get so curious.. 🤔 The meat pie wasn't very good and the burger was salty. You have to go through a crowd of people to order a drink. Still, Guinness draft beer is delicious.

Guy took 5 meal orders + drinks without pen or paper. Very impressive

Supuestamente la cocina cierra a las 9 ... pero cuando intenté hacer un pedido a las 8 : 53 pm, el camarero con cero disculpas me dijo que “la cocina está cerrada”. Eras mi local, Pan de Azúcar. Ahora me voy en busca de comida a otra parte.

Great atmosphere on Thursday nights!)

London city, central bar with Nicholson's qualities. So similar to the nearby Golden Fleece I had to double check. This corner townhouse style bar is civilised & dignified, with elegance. Modernised in a heritage sensitive manner. Professionally patterned ceiling paper dressed with modern naked chandeliers. The bar is divided in two with a distinct restaurant style to one half & pub to the other. A hard wood square bar sits central through both sides. There's a classic corner door with decoratively coloured, dimpled glazing complemented into a glazed, pillared entry divider. There's plenty of space with high stooled perimeter benched seating, with semi partitions to break the spaces. There's a good selection of draught beers for a city, male heavy crowd. Decorative pillars in a clean feeling space, this is a professional London pub with good outdoor space for street drinking.

We have been a number of times for lunch and drinks. The team have always been very helpful - especially Kateryna who goes above and beyond. thank you

Awesome fish & chips! Reasonably priced and very tasty. Sunday afternoon lunch - could not find a close Sunday roast, but this place had wonderful food. We ordered a single order but if fed both of us. The piece of fish was huge!

Katerina - a wonderful hostess and an even better human being. The care and attention she provides is outstanding. My colleagues and I have been coming to the sugarloaf for many years now and the current staff are great. All very polite, the food is great and the current service has never been better - would recommend to anyone visiting the city. A proper pub with great staff!

Why is this the best Pub in Bank? The food is at its price, is fantastic. You can get yourself any of the sandiwches on offer, with a beer, for less than £10! IN LONDON! Not only that, the sandwiiches are great, and comes with fries/chips(who orders chips though, lets be real) all in that price. The drinks are well poured...with a special shout out to Katarina! Pours a fantastic Guiness that everyone should really take note of, and is generally a fantastic hostess! Really lovely spot in town, that even when HEAVING on a Thursday or Friday, still has room for everyoen out in the sun to enjoy their drinks as the bustling city lifes bounces around them.

Montana is the best bartender I’ve ever had to deal with. Delivered my orders to a tee, good vibes and just overall the best. I won’t come inside here unless she is serving - top top lengend, they better make you manager soon cah you’ve already made me spend £100+. Maggie was also a great help, very efficient with the orders

Stopped in for a late lunch after visiting the Tower of London...good choice! We had the classic burger with bacon. ham and cheese, with crispy fries...came with a nice roasted peppers sauce on the side...and I had the chicken pie with oyster mushrooms and truffle oil au jus, served with mashed and carrots...both were very good! Served steaming hot, flavorful and just the right size portions. You order at the bar, pick up your drinks there and they vying your food to the table. Great ambiance and very comfortable environment. Reasonably priced at 65£, including drinks and service.

Wandered in on Paddy's Day. Full of friendly people and friendly staff. Felt like a pub back home. Didn't try the food.

On our way home after a London trip I found this place on our drive and spontaneously parked up around the corner. I thought I'd stop by for dinner and it didn't disappoint. A lovely woman behind the bar named Kateryna served us and our meal was really lovely quality for what we paid.

I found a nice patch of sunlight. Got my noise cancelling headphones and my work set. Had a 0% Peroni and a plant based burger with halloumi fries served by Kateryna who was really friendly and welcoming behind the bar. I really enjoyed the food.

Friendly and polite staff, very good food and drinks definitely recommend 👌 👍🏻! Well done, congratulations 👏

Nice pub.... open Sunday's.... didn't eat there as I just popped in for a quick drink before heading home.

My husband and I sat down and ordered drinks. We were planning to have a couple and then order food. But the manager (( I presume) came over and put a blackboard saying reserved from 5pm. This was 4.30pm . I questioned him about this and he said that he had a party that had booked. Why was the reservation not out before we booked. He couldn't care less.. On leaving I approached him again and said that this was poor customer service but the only response was I have a booking. I know that he doesn't care as he has a large booking coming in. Very poor service . Did not offer an alternative table . Very disappointed

Decent place for a few drinks after work. Prices are usual for the area. It can get crowded. Indoor seating is limited and unless it's a good day you can't really be outside. But overall it's got a good vibe.

Great pub friendly customers and Katrina was really lovely to me as I was upset over Remembrance Weekend. She made me feel welcome.

Classic English Pub really nice staff and excellent food. Got very good recommendations from Catrina. If you plan to visit the St Pauls Cathedral it’s definitely worth a stop.

Absolute brilliant pub been drinking in here on and off for 26 years even when it was O'Neil's bar staff are nice and friendly especially the lady called Katrina, keep up the good work guys.

Very busy, food, drink and staff very good.

Wandering through London and we accidentally came to the city area at lunchtime - very busy with long queues everywhere. We’d given up hope of being able to eat so just popped in for a drink. Bar staff were excellent- asked if we wanted to eat and they created a table by splitting a table of 4 with only 2 on it. They do a lunchtime special (sandwich + chips + drink) with prices ranging for £8.50 to about £11. We had the pulled brisket beef for two with a pint and a glass of wine for about £23 which is very good value for the location. Food good.
