Great local, with nice Chinese Take away. Great staff

Went for an evening takeaway at the lovely Swallow Inn, all the staff were fantastic, genuinely very helpful and most of all very friendly. The food was fantastic you can tell the cooks you don't see work hard and take care about the food they make. Was lovely and couldn't fault at all. With an amazing selection on offer I cannot recommend enough! I am not a local but next time I am passing through I'll be sure to come again. Such a lovely team who make you feel right at home.

Oh dear.... What a shame. This has gone from the best to merely average. Poor curry, tasteless singapore chow-mein, greasy chicken balls with a putrid sauce. We are now on the look out for a new, go-to chinese takeaway.

As always, great food at a good price. Friendly service, cold lager, decent wine and amazing food. Menu has been changed since our last visit, for the better. Great new additions. Prices still reasonable. New decor makes the bar much lighter. Plenty of seating with lots of space. You seriously have to try their food. AMAZING.

Best Chinese food I've ever tasted and, because it's s pub as well, you can sit and have a drink while you wait. Owner, sonny, is a great guy also.

Had not been here for ages due to lockdown. Sonny was so pleased to see us, always polite. Had a drink while we waited for our food. This is the best Chinese food I have ever eaten. Seriously good. My partner always tries something different and has never had a bad dish. Try it, you will not be disappointed.

Terrible food never will go there again it was my first time there too meat was rock hard the chips were ok the egg fried rice looked old not fresh and the sauce was just a no and the ribs were like pure pig taste yuk fatty too

We get a regular swallow takeaway nearly every week. Fantastic meals, always high quality, and it’s made me return again, & again, & again. It’s that good my father drives from Prestbury most weeks as well!

Switched to the swallow from other location Chinese takeaways about two years ago and never gone back anywhere else since! Always polite staff, great tasting food and never any problems.

The best Chinese on the area bar none. Sonny really is the perfect boss. I reccomend the spicy chips and fruity beef. Mmmmm!

Ordered for 7 people for a special birthday and it did not disappoint. Friendly staff and excellent food, would not hesitate to use again. Well done guys!!

Food is always delicious here. We have eaten here many many times and always thoroughly enjoy it. The Cantonese sweet and sour chicken, Singapore fried rice and salt and chilli chips are to die for! Very friendly and lovely people as well that run it. 5 stars!

Haven't used the swallow for a while but went here for a takeaway the other night, food was bland and cold and have had a dodgey stomach ever since, wont be coming back here again!

By far the best Chinese takeaway in Cleeve and Cheltenham. Flavorsome freshly prepared food at an excellent price.

By far the best Chinese I’ve ever ate. I never buy my Chinese from anywhere else! Freshly cooked and tastes amazing. The most amazing chicken fried rice and chips you’ll ever eat as-well!!! Great service, sonny is very friendly and always remembers you. The only thing I could think of that would improve this place would be that they could deliver. 10/10

Had to wait an hour but worth waiting for

Lovely family run pub. Staff are chatty, friendly & always make you feel welcome. They make their own Chinese food which you can take away. It's probably the best food I've ever eaten and the prices are very reasonable as well. Highly recommend a visit.

I have lived in Bishops Cleeve for 15 years, and I genuinely cannot fault the food here.

Good place 2 enjoy a drink and excellent food n bar always clean n staff very good. But hasn't a clue how 2 run a public house????
