Very bad experience, long wait for your food beyond 30 minutes, and you have to chase your order for the staff to be dismissive. Staff extremely rude to customers and quite arrogant. Would not reccomend.

We waited quite a long time . When food arrived we driven mad by yapping dogs barking dogs which waste! unbearable we couldn't talk to each other and not one member of staff went to the 2 ladies with the nuisance dogs to ask to think about the other customers .l do have a dog . I will not go back there again which it's a shame because it's a nice place .

Always a joy to enjoy hot drinks and delicious cakes/biscuits from here. I have also enjoyed various meals too. The view to take in as you are enjoying your food is a delight. Staff are friendly and attentive.

Had a coffee ☕ ☕ ☕ ☕ ☕ and toast on Sunday after walking around the lake. A very nice and friendly clean restaurant to stop and have something to eat, over looking the lake 😁😁😁 Teddy bear 🧸, Maple 🍁 and Tilly the corgis like coming here from when they were puppies. I think the robin likes it here, plenty of food, nice to see wildlife close.

Pretty poor experience, had to send waitress back 4 times to get the order right and argue over a pot of beans for some reason. Food was average and really expensive. Won't return, much better food in the shopping village.

Service was good, but food could have been warmer.

Visited today with family and the only cold drink choices without sweeteners were iced coffee (that had barely any coffee in) or cans of water.

Popped in for a drink prior to the deacon blue concert. I was as told that the only beer option was canned red stripe as draft was off. When at the counter to collect WARM over priced redstripe overheard the staff say that they were not selling the draft now because they wanted to get rid of the cans. I don’t know if they were out of date or what. Needless to say if that’s how they run things I’m out.

Lovely place! perfect for refreshments loads of choice!!

I ordered a Greek special and when it came it was dried up chicken and a yogurt and mint dressing but made with coconut yogurt. Not a good combination. There was also a waitress with long red hair that wasn’t very nice, making comments to other members of staff about my complaint. The manager was fantastic though and took the item off the menu as soon as she saw what I had been served and brought me a new meal. My children also both had meals and over all the quality of the food wasn’t great and very over priced. Have been many times before and it has been a lot better previously

Visited today. Asked to swap fries for haloumi fries. Told no. Asked why. The portion sizes are different so you can't swap. They are the same price. Told that there were a lot of other things on the menu I could choose. How does someone know what I can eat? There are several things I don't eat. The two people with me ate. I didn't. Have eaten here many times before but will not be coming back for some time.

This placed is named incorrectly: "totally delicious". Nah its not. Ordered coffee and cake. I had a chocolate brownie £4 which was small, dry and crumbly (not what a chocolate brownie should be) and my wife had a Lemon tart (£4.50) which was sludgy and an odd texture. Coffees where nice n hot though. Would I go again? probs not!

Coffee nice and hot but the cake (brownie and lemon tart) were disappointing but I guess to be expected as not freshly baked or home made. The brownie was dry and crumbly and the tart had an odd gloopy texture. Tea cakes freshly toasted on next table looked much better. Put of a push to call this a tea room. Decent cafe though

Had fabulous Staffordshire oat cakes here, and the staff were really really helpful. I was cold and they helped me find a table inside with my motorbility scooter as soon as one came available x

Ordered a crepe with cheese and ham....got flat, barely warm, virtually tasteless melted cheese on a couple of crepes with a few bits of ham....pretty poor for £9.

Me and my 4 year old son attended on a wet Thursday afternoon. The tea rooms were fairly busy but everyone had a smile on their face from the first step in the door to the last. Service was quick and efficient and most importantly friendly. Celebrity service from all staff!. Quick shout out to Ozzy on the bar, his iced lattes are fire!.

We visited twice in the last 3 days. The smoke from the fire pits there blowing over all the outside tables was terrible. It is totally bad for your health and extremely bad for those with lung conditions such as COPD and asthma. We were not able to stay and enjoy food and drink at what is an otherwise excellent venue with lovely views. I feel extremely sad for those working there and breathing it in all day! It’s certainly it good for them

Lovely coffees here today, staff generally very pleasant but girl with red pony tail very argumentative when asked for the coffees to be extra hot following an experience a few days ago when they were lukewarm. As I say, staff are usually very pleasant and helpful .

An excellent cafe with great food and very friendly staff. The prices are as you would expect in such a place, not cheap but not outrageous. Loses a star as the place cannot cope with busy at the weekends and needs more indoor seating.

Today I visited the tearooms in the Italian Gardens I had hot chocolate, coffee, soup, and side of chips, £16.85. I asked for round of bread and butter. It would have cost me £3.50 for the bread and butter, so I said no when the manager had confirmed that was the price for a piece of bread. I did not get a receipt from the cashier I later realise that they had charged me for the bread anyway, which I did not get. Therefore overcharged me by £3.50p. THEREFORE EVERYONE CHECK YOUR BILL IF YOU VISIT HERE. Better still avoid it, as there are plenty more and better tea rooms at Trentham

No complaint about the friendly attentive professional staff or of the food and drinks served. what is now a worry is the number of people with dogs inside the restaurant. in many cases more than one dog around the tables. some yapping others being fed under the table some on knees feeding off the table. not only are the staff at risk from who knows what when they clear a table but many dogs cause a potential trip hazard as well. We definitely think twice now before entering here to eat and drink. I'm not against dogs just the way some owners have little respect for hygiene.

Had a delicious breakfast today of chorizo hash which was absolutely delicious! Loving the new menu so much choice can’t wait to try them all. As always your staff were delightful too.

Visited today for dinner 2pm as we don’t call it lunch as we are not southerners, food and service was first class and couldn’t fault it

Food dire had a full breakfast eggs over cooked,left half. The service is rubbish they need to train the staff to do customer checks IE is food ok ,which I would have told them how bad the experience was.I would pay this amount in a decent hotel ,won't be going back.

I love coming here especially when Aris is working. He is so lovely and helpful and clearly loves his job. However it was very busy today so went to the kiosk for 2 coffees. After paying we then waited 20 minutes for our drinks. You need to speed up a bit guys.

Extremely friendly staff we were sat down almost immediately the food is a little on the pricey side but definitely worth it. The only down side was being harrased by wasps but I suppose it's to be expected for the time of year. There also wasn't a long wait between ordering and our food being brought to our table. Definitely recommend.

Just be careful as we were charged twice!! Said the card machine was slow so tried another device, checked on return home and paid twice, the email links on the website don't work either so it's difficult to actually complain!!

Visited Friday lunch time, it wasnt especially busy, i ordered crepes with freshly squeezed lemon and sugar, they were very hard and chewy especially around the edge, not sure if some sort of lemon syrup was used in place of freshly squeezed lemon although a lemon wedge was provided. I left mine and was hoping to be asked if food was OK, but wasn't.

The worst experience I have had for decades. The waitress was seemingly uninterested and deliberately tried to avoid us. Obvious polite gestures were not enough to draw her attention so I needed to walk up and down the restaurant and collect some essentials for ourselves like salt, sauces and so on. Then we had to ask for a paper towel to wipe off the dirt and raindrops on our table. The food was tasteless and overheated. We ordered some extra fries as the normal portion was not enough for even a few years old child, and we also wanted two espressos. We only received the espressos without the basics such as sugar and milk, but the fries were forgotten even if I paid them in advance. Not to mention that their price is ridiculous for this level of service and cooking. We did not expect too much just a standard service and, as you would expect from a restaurant called 'Delicious', some tasty food but I wish we had chosen a different place to eat. Definitely not recommended.

Lovely location. The staff are absolutely brilliant, very kind, welcoming and accommodating. Dog friendly. As members at Trentham Gardens, we often visit. Would definitely recommend breakfast by the river, very yummy! Xxx

We love walking around the lake every Sunday and we always stop off at Totally Delicious tea room for a mocha , but very disappointed today with the cup of mocha I bought today. Yes, I should of mention it to one of the staff, but didn't. My own fault.

Not quite sure what to make of this place.The meet & greet is like being abroad, with sales tout. Food is not a great deal of choice.The man with the shades on his head, I don't know what he's about.Heard negative comments about TD once outside.Last visit for me.

To be honest, if you go on a day not too busy, it is lovely to eat and enjoy the wonderful view of the lake. Food is good.

Came in to do some studying, lovely atmosphere and view, also really kind staff, had a flapjack which was great :) also I've come before and the hot chocolates are divine! Definitely recommend :)

Went with the family on a very cold day, so the children can play. Lots of variety of things to do at Trentham Gardens. Decided to go for a coffee and the waitress gave us a menu and we sat down outside on a glorious day and told us there was no soup available. Approximately 10 minutes later we realised that nobody was coming to us. We then went to the waitress who was waiting by the door of the café to be told it was not wait on service. Just give your table number when you have paid .Surely as we sat down, she should’ve told us this? The coffee and hot chocolate were lovely. Prices ££ However the young staff need to make people aware of this .

Nipped in to get a soft drink. Cashier charged me £3 for a "pint" of Pepsi Max. The chap behind the bar gave me an 8oz takeaway coffee cup 🤣 Robbing swines!

Ordered a vegan hot chocolate for the kids and a vegan mocha. Was served dairy versions and when this was queried was told they don't offer vegan options?! Ordered a tea with soya milk but told they didn't have that either. Disappointing, bizarre and backwards.

We celebrated our birthdays, anniversary and wedding within Trentham Gardens in September this year. It was everything we could have hoped for. Lizzie, Emma and Jeremy- what a team. Thank you for creating the best day, forever grateful for your support.

Good tasting food and good quality,but the portion control is inconsistent.I visited twice for breakfaston two consecutive days and ordered the same .The food and service was much better on the Sunday morning compared to the Monday morning!The price was more on the Monday and the breakfast wasn't as good.Two Sausage on the Sunday and a full black pudding, only one sausage on the Monday and half the black pudding and over £1 more on Monday.Less food for more money left me feeling slightly robbed,but breakfast was still nice! Staff were friendly on both visit's. The coffee is very nice!

Today myself and a friend visited the cafe inside the gardens after walking the lake. We regularly visit here and always have our dogs with us. When we arrived we sat outside. After ordering our food and drinks we made the decision to go inside as it was quite cool. We walked in and sat down. My dog (who has been inside the cafe many many times) barked a few times at another dog on another table. We were sat down for probably around one minute when a member of staff approached us and in the most rude manner he asked us to move because my dog had barked. He said that he had to consider his other customers and we needed to move. His tone was rude, condescending and totally unnecessary. Myself and my friend decided to go back out side. The man and another waitress brought our drinks and food out. I explained to the said man that had he given us more than a minute my dog would have settled down and been fine. I also told him that his manner was rude to which he clearly didn’t care and accused my dog of not being well behaved. He didn’t make any attempt at apologising and went back inside where he kept glaring at us. We ate our now cold food. Another lady came out who claimed she was the manager (the man had also made this claim). We explained that we were not happy with the service we had received from the man. She also stated that the dog needed to be moved…I asked her why my dog and not the other ladies dog who had also barked. I asked if I had had a toddler or a baby with me who had cried, would I also have asked to move. The lady said no!! She apologised for the manner in which the man had handled it but didn’t offer to replace the cold food or any other form of compensation as to how we were treated. So after visiting the cafe for many many years I will not be returning and would suggest to anyone who has a dog, please to careful entering with them. If they make any sort of noise then it won’t be tolerated!!!!

Very over priced (£8 for a basic cheese and tomato) poor vegetarian choice the falafel one was off the menu so no choice really . Could do with a tiny bit of side salad for the price .The online ordering makes it hard to ammend orders, we made a mistake on our choice which we were unable to change and so had to pay again. Coffee good but again overpriced £3.30 for small cup. Will not be returning.

I visited the tearooms with my daughter and had a fantastic meal. The superfood bowl was perfect for the hot weather. Waitress Bethany was very polite and attentive to everything we needed, much appreciated in this hot weather. We will definitely be back again!

Amazing place for a family day out in nature

Best restaurant on the estate, given the quality of the food, it is priced very well. Nice views of the lake and garden too.

Possibly the worst customer service you are ever likely to encounter in a food outlet. Shame really because it’s not representative of the entire site. The lady that greeted us today really needs to be put in the kitchen because ‘front of house’ is not for her. One look at the reviews suggests that this is not an isolated occurrence.

Disappointing cream tea....not sure the chocolate chip scones work I thought id been given a fruit scone until had a slice by this time too late return it. Needless to say I didn't eat it

Lovely little cafe within Trentham Gardens. Prices are quite high, but that's to be expected I guess. There is a fair amount of seating outside and in.

Good service with friendly happy staff. Reasonably priced. We had well filled oatcakes stuffed with bacon and cheese. And Stilton and shrooms. No skimping on the fillings as so many other places do. The hot chocolate was the best we've had too! Indoor seating very comfortable. Although don't lean on the tables as they're not sturdy and literally tip over with one's weight. The produding circles on the ribbed ceiling were very effective with the lighting

Staff at the kiosk are unbelievably rude. Very curt and smirk at you. The two girls on on April 29th were terribly rude but both boys were okay. We don't pay to be treated like dirt

Enjoyed my latte, everywhere was clean, staff very good about clearing tables quickly & wiping everything over when customer had left. The only problem was the young lad on the till, he was VERY slow, but saying that I think it was his first day or first time on his own at the till so maybe a bit of patience on mine & other customers part might have helped him. I've been a regular customer for years & hopefully will be for few years yet.

Good service and friendly staff. Good range of vegan options too. Pot of tea is just a pot of hot water and a single tea bag which you have to add yourself which was a bit of a shame. Overall though, lovely and a nice view across the lake

Had the Tandoori chicken wraps on the terrace in the sunshine at the Totally Delicious Tearooms today, my wife had the chicken Caesar salad. Both really tasty, fab food in lovely surroundings. Definitely a cut above the norm.

Trentham garden's great place to visit can't believe we have it on our doorstep been going since I was kid when it used to have the swimming pool,But these days it's a lot more updated plenty to see and do to much to mention in a review but well worth a visit.

Food took ages, then once it arrived it was not worth the price paid. Service was slow and not very engaging.

Tasty big portions of food which came quickly and in a lovely setting. The waiting staff could be more attentive, but they have kept everything clean, were very friendly and all did a good job running a busy cafe. We had jacket potato and cheese, tomato and mushroom oatcake. The portions were excellent and there were plenty of fillings on both dishes. We love coming here for the oatcakes!

Nice cafe inside the Trentham Gardens Estate. Good quality food and drink, nicely situated indoor and outdoor tables with friendly staff and a good view.

Terrible, will not eat here again. Food terrible and service poor. We ordered four lobby dishes (a soup-y meat and root veg stew). They arrived cold, not even lukewarm but cold. Sent them back and they came back soon after just barely hot but we couldn't be bothered to send them back to be reheated for a second time. Four bowls of stew - we were given no spoons. When we asked for spoons, our table staff returned with one spoon between the four of us. When we asked if we could get some more there was no apology and no epiphany, just a look as if we were being unreasonable. The lobby itself was massively over salted, and the beef was tough as owd boots. Not been cooked well at all. And the portion size was tiny - I could count four bit of beer, two bits of parsnip, and three bits of carrot. All for near enough £9. A couple of other guests had cheese and ham panini. Half the panini was untouched by cheese OR ham on one of then, the other also really lacking in cheese. No one seemed to be responsible for our table since we had multiple different serving staff (maybe hence getting four stews and zero spoons). Very young staff but the fault lies with the manager for not giving any structure or guidance on how to serve - wasn't even clear if there was a manager about, there didn't appear to be. Kids fish finger dish was fine (decent portion for the price), except the menu mentions five options for sides yet when I went to order they told me three were unavailable and only chips and beans were in stock. All good and well advertising healthy options (peas, cucumber and carrot sticks) but if they're not available it's pointless. All in all a massive waste of our time and money and we still left hungry. Would not return here again. Next time we'll plan ahead and book into Willow for lunch instead.

Visited today for lunch. Tried to order pulled pork baguette to be told not available so ordered another dish. Something different was brought out so I told them and I chose a cheaper item. For rhe second time the wrong meal was brought out. At this point I gave up and ate the second dish which was loaded fries with bacon and brie however the amount of brie was miniscule. I was not offered a refund on the difference. On the plus side the interior of the restaurant was nice and modern and there were nice views over the garden. Sadly will not be returning.

Main meal of quiche and salad was ok, way to much dressing on the salad but my biggest gripe was £4.25 for a supposedly home made lemon slice smaller than a Kipling and tasted dreadful and like it'd be got out of the back of the cupboard as an emergency measure, if you're going to charge silly prices at least up your game so we don't feel like we're being completely ripped off, next time we'll bring a picnic.

Nice location, but such poor service and food. I had to remind the staff I had ordered a cider. I had to go inside to get a can, no glass offered. I asked the waitress for some mustard. She disappeared and completely forgot. I enquired again and "oh yea, we don't have any". Staff training for these staff members is required. I had the ploughman's salad. A shop bought small greasy pork pie, cut into four. An egg, on a few leaves, tomatoes etc. The local Cheddleton Cheshire cheese crumbled over the salad was tasteless, (Perhaps the worst I have had). Altogether disappointing and bland. ...and pricey for the quality. I won't return after my experience and will advise others to avoid the cafe.

Currently just doing take out. Food really expensive for what it is. £4.50 for 2 cheese oatcakes, not much care taken, in a box tipped up sideways so they were squashed. Coffee wasn't great and again over priced.

Prices not the best. Food ok, not enough tables so had to stand until a table was available. Fresh leafed teas are nice

Three of us visited Delicious lakeside cafe on 4 Jan 2021. Staff on coffee bar for takeaway drinks were brilliant and drinks great. Wish I could say the same for food. No one seemed to know where the chef, I think his name was Pete, was to cook the food we wanted to order. Eventually he turned up, food was barely warm and by the time we walked outside to a bench to eat it it was cold. We had a mouthfull of food and put it in the bin it was awful. Not only cold but not cooked properly. I felt quite sick for the rest of the afternoon. Good job food safety didn't take a sample of the food they would have shut the cafe down. Will not be returning for takeaway food again. Would give the girls on drinks 5 stars though.
