Troodos in Haringey

Troodos is no more as it has closed for business. Shame as it used to be very busy in the late 90's to the noughties. The couple who ran it were very nice and its a shame that they have now gone out of business.

Nos dieron la bienvenida a Troodos en Priory Road para nuestra primera visita, que llegó al nivel indicado por las mejores críticas anteriores. Había un montón de opciones interesantes en el menú y buenas porciones tamaño de comida bien preparada con ensalada. Los postres son encantadores y vino. La comida estaba a un precio muy razonable. Realmente disfrutamos de la noche y el ambiente tranquilo para nosotros muy bien.

Love this place. Hadn't been for ages so I had forgotten how good it is. Great food and wine, all at very reasonable prices. The guy that owns the place is always really lovely so the service is good as well.

As usual the service was friendly and attentive without being over the top. The food is always good and the prices very reasonable. Always an enjoyable visit.

En un jueves por la noche tranquila mi esposa y yo nos encontramos en mi viejo se reúnan de baja en el borde de "Little Chipre" norte de Londres. Este restaurante no estaba allí cuando último era ya que sólo había estado aquí por 30 años o así. Metimos en ordenados, dieron recomendaciones y honrado eran, como en todos los buenos restaurantes griegos, pronto casi en familia. Comida sabrosa preparada por la señora de la casa y se sirve por su marido. Un lujo agradable. Ahora todo lo que necesito es una excusa para llevar a mi mujer volver por otra comida.

The ambience is limited, but the food delicious. Calamari, white bait, moussaka, sea bass, apple pie - all delicious, and reasonably priced. If you're in the neighbourhood, looking for a casual place, definitely worth the visit.

re-visited with group of friends. Excellent Kleftico, Sea Bass ( whole fish) , Mixed Grill. Star desert : yoghourt and honey. Going again this week. No gimmicks, just good food . The House wine goes well with the food.

Androulla ha sido cocinar y George ha sido sirve saludable 'hogar' comidas cocinadas aquí durante casi 20 años. Tenemos sólo 'nuestra llegada descubrimos' y tuvimos nuestra primera comida aquí la noche pasada.

Si fue el hecho de que hacía frío por dentro, o que la camarera era nepalesa, o que el propietario no beber pedimos en 3 ocasiones no estoy seguro ... Pero el ambiente estaba tibio y tardamos 15 minutos a oír la música griega! Sin embargo, la comida era muy buena, auténtico y mantener con tradición chipriota. si regresaría? probablemente a llevar!! La propietaria nos pareció miserable y no quieren estar allí y ya que estaba medio vacío no hacen un gran ambiente, aunque el precio era muy razonable!

Food and wine delicious, service amusing, will be going again. Meze just keeps on coming, and price reasonable.

What a fantastic meal. A friend from Spain, who had lived in Cyprus, was staying with us. She hungered for a typical Greek/Cypriot meal. Found thid on Tripadvisor, reviews good, so travelled from Holloway. OK, not so far, but too far to walk and catch a bus. So worth the trip. Most incredible meal. We shared the special meze for two between the three of us and also asked for a Mousaka for one to be served with the meat Meze. We couldn't eat the Mousaka!! The Meze was the best of all the Turkish and Greek Mezes we have ever had in London. Husband born and bred here so he's certainly had a few!! Had to bring the Mousaka home to reheat for lunch tomorrow.£66 for two bottles of house wine, two bottle of house beer, special meze for two (shared between three) and one Mousaka (next days lunch) bargain.We'll be back.

I visited Troodos in July '13. I was there with a party of 20 and we hired out the restaurant.We had the mezze and it was fantastic, we were there for about 4 hours sampling all the mezze dished. Troodos is a fantastic little family run restaurant in a great part of town.Strongly advise going

Had no idea this gem was sitting at the bottom of muswell hill, we had fabulous Greek starters (vine leaves, tzatzeki, and goats cheese/ spinach pastries) and each of the four of us chose differing main courses, each of which were as good as the others. Recommend the house specials, so nice to see a family run restaurant (they have been running it for 18 years and deserve 18 more).

We've been going to Trodos or getting take away's for over 10 years and the quality and quantity of the food is just excellent. The houmous is outstanding (home made and George will happily explain about the time and effort it takes to make it) - the calamari very tasty and the souvlaki just delicious with lots of it and lots of rice and salad too. Its good honest home cooking, the prices are so reasonable that you just can't fault it. Service is friendly and not rushed. This is where you go to have a relaxed time, chatting with your family and friends. Its been around for over 20 years whilst other restaurants in the Crouch End area have come and gone. Happy and satisfied customers return time and time again. A local gem.

We visit Troodos every week, and we always have a great meal and a small bill. The place is a traditional family-run restaurant, with all of the classic Greek/Cypriot dishes expertly cooked. We particularly recommend the Special Mezze, the Troodos Special Grill, the Tsipoura (Sea Bream), and the Mousaka. Oh, and do try a bottle of the Troodos red wine which is absolutely brilliant. And all of this comes with a surprisingly reasonable bill. Highly recommended.David & Glenys

Steak not well cooked. But cheaper than else where. Chips under done. Mushrooms really rubbish. How many more words? A few more . . . and . . .

I regularly go to Troodos restaurant for a nice Cypriot meal. Two can easily have a filling meal with an appetiser, a main, a decent bottle of wine for under £30. I find the food good, and importantly prepared with very good ingredients. Will definitely return.

We had a nice time, in a relaxed atmosphere. It is not world beating food, but it is very good value for money. 7 of us had two courses with wine and coffee for a grand total of 150 quid, which for this part of London is a bargain, and none of us left hungry. The mezze starter was great.

As usual George welcomed us on entry and Androula escaped from the kitchen for a brief moment to say hello. We ( the family ) have been going here for years , I have always found the food to be well cooked and nice,NO it is not the best Greek in the worl,d BUT it is certainly very good value for money. The Taramasalata ( made in site by George ) is to die for!.All in all a wonderful place and does take-aways ( the kids favourite) .

this was my favourite Greek restaurant when I lived in Muswell Hill. Always go for the mezze. You need a lot of space in your stomach and take your time through the evening. Small cosy atmosphere. Really good value for money.
