Fui a Vrisakis en el 06 / 12 / 2024 y pedí 5 kebabs mixtos grandes de cerdo, el chef que cocinó la comida para nosotros fue muy acogedor y cocinó la comida increíble. Nunca he probado kebab como este. No sabía que los kebabs sabían tan bien y deliciosos, por otro lado la señora que tomaba las órdenes tenía una actitud muy agresiva y estaba golpeando la máquina de lectura de tarjetas en el mostrador tan fuerte que se parecía a su enojo e irritación. Mis amigos y yo no pensamos que fuera necesario reaccionar de tal manera en horas de oficina frente a otros clientes. También las mujeres que tenían los berrinches estaba jurando en griego, pensando que yo y mis amigos no entendíamos el idioma que yo soy de Grecia y mis amigos son de Chipre e Inglaterra, las mujeres tenían una cara muy enojada y ella tenía el pelo naranja que personalmente es muy inapropiado para vestir de esa manera en una casa de kebab de comida superior. Las mejores notas para el chef que cocinó nuestra comida el viernes. mal dar 10 / 10 para el chef y la comida y para la señora debe tener que estar pasando por una acción disciplinaria.

Amazing food and friendly staff, but music was a tad loud and the tables quite tight. Definitely worth a visit for the food though

Nov 2024. Still very good. Missing one skewer of kebab, missing Mediterranean shrimp, all the starters very fresh and good. Still super full. A little cold dining area. 2024 update, still very very good, we didn’t get quail this time in our meze, when I reviewed our pictures from last year but we were still super full and had to pack at least half home. Best thing about this place is the charcoal grill flavor - they are really good at grilling. 2023 update, still the best meze I’ve had for years still 5 stars, all the dishes were excellent, even kebabs are juicy and not dry, more busy compared to last year. I will keep coming whenever I’m in London. 2022: Closest I have to a five star, real Cyprus food. Had meze for two and should not have pigged out on the first courses because there was sooo much food to come. Seriously good taromasalata just like the one I used to have in the 70s at Kypros in Camden Town. The meat was tender and the seafood was fresh, shrimps are a little small but for the price, no complaints. A bit out of the beaten path and I had to travel a long way to find this place. Happy when I left with leftovers for the next few days. Would love to try the Kleftiko one day. I live in the north east US now (ex Londoner) and cannot find food like this at all, the third generations Cypriot kids are not cooking like their mamas used to. (IMHO). The other place to compare is Alexander the Great in Camden, that’s a good alternative.

Seriously the best greek restaurant left in the uk I've been coming here for 30 years, tried 100s of restaurants there nothing close. Ask for Andy and Misha, they are amazing!

I had the meze. It was very nice and fairly priced. Nice selection of starters, fish in particular was very nice. Calamari was very tender and tasty. Unfortunately, the meat at the end was a little cold, quite dry and tough and unfortunately not very appetising. Also the selection was small (pork and chicken shish, 1 seftialia each, and a baby chicken i think).. No loukanika or pastourma, chops etc. The meat, as is seemingly more common in Cyprus now, is under seasoned. People have become incorrectly fearful of salt and it is ruining good food. As this comes at the end it was quite disappointing as you usually look forward to this the most. On reflection i would do as other locals did and order specific dishes instead of the meze. P.s the taramasalata was also delicious. 😆 The salad was poor. It was drowned in a very bitter olive oil. No acid was brought to the table. Using all of the lemon that was in the meat still did not make it palatable. This was really quite bad. Essentially inedible. The feta used was of not great quality. A shame for any non Greek people having this for a first time as it would leave a bad impression of Greek food. Our server was very friendly.

Excellent local authentic food. We love their Mezze and the experience. Some days they have music in the evenings. Highly recommended!

Food ok, but the restaurant is too small and not comfortable, food can't fit to the table properly and on Saturday evening it was too noisy as the room is too small. No changing facilities so I had to change my baby on bathroom floor. Overall it wasn't the best dining experience.

I've been here on and off for the past 30 years. I can safely say that the food has maintained much of it's quality but the atmosphere feels a bit flat whenever I have gone for a take away in 2024. I understand that the area is suffering with the Low Traffic Neighbourhood restriction for precisiely 2 years now, where footfall has considerably dropped for all businesses in Bowes Park. That said, there are always things you can do to engage with customers better.

We had the Meze. Excellent food - and plenty of it, and at a reasonable price!!! The service was great, the staff were attentive and friendly. Everyone had a fabulous time 😊 Tip: Book and make sure you go there hungry!!!! NB Very family friendly!! This time we went with 2 children (9 mths & 2.5 yrs) the staff were excellent with them

I ordered the pork kebab but was greatly disappointed at the quality of the meat. There was no taste to it and the texture was chewy and hard to eat. I’m afraid that Vrisaki’s is long past it’s hey day of the 1980’s. Shame.

Amazing place! These guys have been here years and it shows. They know what they're doing

Just bad. Waiters clearing dishes before they were even finished. Standing over us with hands on hips, waiting for us to finish eating. Never again. Quite shocking how bad it actually was to be honest.

Am so happy that Vrisaki now deliver to our address via Just Eat! Vrisaki are absolutely the best for Greek food. We ordered 2 pork kebabs which were delicious! Plenty of succulent pork kebabs in the pitta bread. Expertly bbq’d. Will not go anywhere else apart from Vrisaki! Great food, very well made!

This restaurant is a must! We came for dinner and had the meze variation for 2 people and Keo beer and we enjoyed all! The food was amazing, and since the amount of it was just too much for us, we were given the rest of it in package to take away, and had another dinner the following night. The owners are just gorgeous. Very attentive, communicative and nice. We had a lovely evening and will be back when we are again in the neighbourhood.

Not vegetarian friendly and the whole venue needs a bit of uplifting and deep clean. Food was average.

I tried several appetisers and the octopus. Excellent quality of food, the octopus was well flavoured and outstandingly tender. The live music was fantastic as it brought a cultural atmosphere. Thank you for a great evening!

2024- have come back since a few times, excellent fresh food. Went for mixed kebab. Portion was excellent as well as the amount of food provided. Really good quality and delicious. Meat cooked perfectly. Chips fresh. Service brilliant. Would 100% return. 2019-Good restaurant with good quality food. Lovely friendly staff and good starters of bread and dips. Food was delicious and varied. Would recommend and return. Reasonably priced.

My favourite Greek and Cypriot food in North London

Came to Vrishaki for dinner, had the maze for two. Was so brilliant. There was SO much food, the staff rightly advised us to 'take it slow'. There was a traditional live band playing while we had dinner. The food was authentic, fresh and delicious. Will be back very soon

I had the pleasure of being taken to Vrisaki for my birthday and it was brilliant The food was wonderful and very good value. The atmosphere friendly and authentic. The staff made us feel so welcome and were such good fun. Will be back for sure.

I don't want people to know about this restaurant. I want to take my friends to this restaurant. It's a contradictory feeling. I've been eating here for over 20 years. It doesn't disappoint, even after all this time. The meze menu is 36 dishes. They are all great. Do I need to say any more?

Fantastic Evening, amazing food and service. Live Entertainment and dancing was the cherry on the cake. Book to avoid disappointment as every seat was taken. We had the mezze with so many wonderful dishes we could not finish, staff more than happy to offer a doggy bag. We will return. Highly recommend.

Vrisaki has been the pinnacle of authentic Cypriot food in London for decades. The food is incredible, the service amazing, and the atmosphere feels like you're really there in Cyprus with live music on Fridays and Saturdays. I recommend wholeheartedly for anyone who wants to get an authentic Cypriot experience.

Food, as always was excellent, but the ignorance and behaviour of certain members of staff, ensured i will never go there again. Went in on mothers day, with my mum, who had suffered a stroke, and as a consequence has poor mobility, and was made to feel a second class citizen, was humilliated and condascended to. I was disgusted, and will be taking the matter further. Unnacceptable

Long established family run Greek Restaurant. Now has live music on Fridays and Saturday. They have Meze with Meat or Fish , a good selection of Kebabs and salads

i had a lovely chicken kebab & chips for lunch last FGriday. I am gutted to just realise the only weekday lunchtimes they are open is Friday! Please can you open more weekdays for lunch???

Still the best don't listen to the haters. I've grown up in North London and seen kebab shops come and go, Vrisaki has been a mainstay. I've tried all the alternatives and still come back to vrisaki as no.1. So many new places you leave still hungry or filling up on bread, not here. To tell the truth I liked it 20 years ago when the waiters were rude and you could identify them on the football team pictures on the wall, from when they were playing football in cyprus. The modern polite service now does take some of that ambiance away, but I suppose i will get used to that. Obviously, try the meze!!

Believe it or not, we went to Vrisaki (translates to "Little Stream", I'm told), about 20 years ago, but after recently googling it, it showed up on my feed again... Highly memorable Dinner !! MUST go back when I 'm next in London!

"Restaurant was closing at 11pm". Arrived at 8:40pm on Saturday and it was closed. Apparently they have another shop next door called "Kebab shop" which was open for take away and the same establishment. Joke of a business and lack of basic professionalism. Shame to customers that want to give you their money and you just peripezoun them. Get a life and man up. Kseftila

Can’t wait to move to the area. We tried Vrisaki when we were exploring and were met with amazing service, some food on the house and a warm atmosphere. Loved it.

We went here for our first outing of the year. Old school friends reunion. The food was delicious. We had the meze. Food kept coming. And it didn't disappoint one bit. I will go back there. 👍

Love the food here tastes so nice even though they can be pricier conpared to other donors but the taste and quality don't compare. Also, though they aren't Turkish I have not tasted a Turkish doner place in London that tastes as nice yet which speak volumes. Haven't said that the Turkish kebab in Turkish itself is on a whole next level ...can't wait to return!!

Old school, Cypriot Greek food with warm atmosphere, very dated, but nevertheless, still a good experience…. Probably not as good as some in terms of decor et cetera but you can’t fault the quality of the meat. 🍖

Just finished skating at AP on Xmas Eve children hungry so decided to drop by and chance it was open. Luckily it was open and there were plenty of seats. Sat down and we had the lamb kebab, chicken kebab, pork kebab some mixed. The children cleaned up their plates with a big thumbs up. Service was swift. A quick hit and run meal. All in all six persons - 5meals with drinks(soft and beers) worked to about 20per head. Left stuffed.

My Partner and I ate there today 15.12.2023 Was her fist time eating here but she thoroughly enjoyed the food and the way it’s presented on the plates. We will go back after the Christmas break

Best kebab/restaurant for a Greek experience you can't by traditional quality anywhere, honestly best kebab in UK other than being in Cyprus , thank you for the food chef

Just had a takeaway kebab last night, spent all night on the toilet with severe stomach cramps and diarrhea. Went to check their food hygiene rating, it was a two, for a restaurant that has been around for decades that is unacceptable and also I suspect shows the contempt these people have for their customers.

I don't recommend it. The kebab I ordered doesn't look like a kebab. It had onions, tomatoes, and lemon stuffed in the bread and drowned in some very strange sauce. To top it off, everything was sprinkled with a lot of salt. The meat inside was extremely greasy, more like rubber than actual meat. I really regret visiting this restaurant, and it was expensive on top of that."

Great Cypriot food and atmosphere

This was the original classic Cypriot place and just for that it’s worth the visit. The food isn’t quite as good as Paneri and Dionysus if you are comparing to the rest of the Cypriot triangle and it’s expensive. But it has the best atmosphere and has put the most into creating a nice atmosphere to sit and have a meal. So if you are bringing family or friends and want a Cypriot meal then this is the one.

Only got takeaway, long standing Cypriot restaurant with other local Cypriot businesses nearby. Foods as authentic as it comes and tastes great. Had the pork/lamb Souv, Macaroni and keftedes. All were good and very fair prices if you order there and collect.

Scrumptious sheftalia kebab they are the best ever and it was delivered on time as always. Highly recommend this restaurant.

A favourite all time which has been there for a long time and for a good reason.

This restaurant used to be the restaurant like in the days now you go in there the food is like rubber the staff are miserable I think they should close the restaurant down permanently because the food is always cold I like people say it’s £15 and upwards for Cold food and cold service i’ll give you the benefit of doubt and tried a few times now but every time now it’s just the same service that bad really downhill put you off going to a restaurant evening !

Excellent food and atmosphere. Service is genuine and not fawning. Visited at lunchtime and the menu was limited, not all the 'Board' specials available, but still plenty to choose from.

Food was ok but when I went there a month ago I ordered 2 special meze which was fine but yesterday I ordered 3 and was charged for 3 with added service charge as usual but the waitress brought enough for 2 and when I questioned this I was told that there is no difference between 2 and 3 and only 4 or more the quantity changes but they still charged me for 3. The chicken was pre-cooled and cold in the middle which they microwaved it after I raised a complaint. I would not recommend This place for food , service and price.

This place was special before the refurb. I havent been since pre-covid but the food and quality just didnt seem the same. And it felt pricey. Shame because this place was brilliant

Amazing food! 👏 we took the set mix menù (fish 🐟 and meat 🍖) i suggests that, the portion are generous and the service is very friendly. I didn't finish my food because we were already full with starters so they gave me the takeaway box to take food home.

We have been to this restaurant several times in the past but not for about 5 years. I read lots of reviews that made me wonder if I should go back. Some said different owners.. not true! Some said meal poor now.. not true! Some said staff unfriendly..not true! We had the meat and fish meze and it was amazing! Place is full of Cypriots which is a very good sign! Value for money is good too as very plentiful and excellent quality. Thoroughly recommend it!

Always a lovely, family welcome. Good Greek food. Never rushed to leave. Can be a little crowded, and a little noisy, but that’s in keeping with the culture :) A great place to have a birthday meal!

Absolutely superb. A friend had recommended Vrisaki telling me it was one of the best Greek or Cypriot restaurants going. How right he was; we ordered the set meal for two. Excellent and courteous service. Food was both plentiful and of fantastic quality. So much Also very reasonably priced. Will be coming again and recommending to others. A pleasure to meet the boss at the end when we gave our compliments to the waiter.

I wanted to go but 15 pounds the sheftalies, and 15 pounds 10 koupepia, sorry but i think is rediculous except if mince is from gold. Come on guys,this is disrespectfull to your customers and real cypriots that they know the taste of cyprus food. It used to be a fantastic place to go. I hadn't been for many years and I was really looking forward to going. Unfortunately it was only ok. wouldn't go back as there is much better places to go to. The food was not bad but couldn't say it was good either, it was just ok. The prices they charge it should be excellent quality but it's not.

They putted rice salad and meat in the same box, maybe just to make the whole portion bigger consider the very poor amount of meat. Very disappointed

The food has gone down hill the service is so bad no one’s smiles in there sad faces all the time been going for 25 years but this was so bad not going back they again over salt the kebabs on food take away so bad and check out the salad it’s not the same too and they talk over you . Everyones of my mates where saying the same-thing food overall was down hill and they just want more money for salad even if you order a kebab lol which was free before with kebabs try to avoid them you will be disappointed and have look around if you there it’s always empty now like just empty that’s not right for a well know restaurant???? Makes you think when sit down and eating not even one star I give it now !
