Uptown diner in Wigan

Un gran lugar local - no es buena comida, pero la comida es buena, los precios son buenos y el servicio es encantador. Las patatas fritas también son caseras y fantásticas.

Nos topamos con este lugar mientras exploramos el centro de la ciudad. Personal todo acogedor, comida sabrosa y buena relación calidad-precio, nada oculto a la vista para que pueda ver sus buenos estándares. Muy recomendable

Stumbled on this cafe for lunch in Wigan with my mum and baby. Lovely food, staff so friendly and welcoming and really good value for money. Proper homemade chips were delish!

Ate here a few times through the week as working on the shop opposite.all the staff were extremely nice and friendly and all the meals we had were very tasty . chicken and mushroom pie was excellent.lovely cafe would recommend this place to anybody

It was lovely I can’t say anything bad about this it was brilliant service was amazing workers are so nice homemade hand cut chips are brilliant.

Tried here today and very expensive. £1.60 for a can of Pepsi. 😱😱. Cost me and my mater over £20 for lunch. Since when did you need a mortgage to eat in a cafe in Wigan. Lower your prices then you may get more business. Only decent thing was that the chips were homemade.

I have had breakfasts, toasties, sandwiches and panini and every meal has been delicious. The fillings are plentiful and the coleslaw is wonderful.

Went into this cafe about 6 months ago, and keep on returning 2 or 3 times a week.In all these visits, I find it difficult to complain about anything. The staff are always obliging and friendly, and the food and the variety is second to none. Try it when in Wigan, you wont be disappointed.

Stumbled across this place and went for the Hot-Pot. Made in house every day, was a very nice warming lunch. Pea and ham soup was the other dish we sampled and again very nice served with a fresh bread roll. Lovely!

Would highly recommend. We had a lovely hot beef and onion barm with home-made chips from this place. Friendly staff, great value, delicious food!

Let’s face it you expect to be able to get a decent pie in Wigan but the steak pie in this place was more like a gravy pie. Maybe the town and its Brexit leaver residents are preparing for Brexit and cutting down on expense? The table wobbled as well.

Food traditional English Café type, standard always good. Staff coordinated and work well together. Always use when in Wigan during the day.

Eaten here a few times always lovely, my daughter loves the steak pie, the breakfasts are amazing ( fried bread yesss) proper roast beef on the sandwiches, fresh salad..... All good

We wanted an early light lunch and ordered the pea and ham soup. Delicious, and plenty of it. Service was fantastic even though the place was busy. Looking around the great value meals that were arriving on nearby tables looked fantastic and everyone seemed more than happy with the food. Definitely one we'll be going back to when we're in Wigan again!

Went in today and ordered 2 hotpot with crust. Crust turned out to be small greasy puff pastry rectangle. Meals were steaming hot, but potatoes, esp larger chunks, were cool inside. There were hot and cool patches of food all over the plate. How is this even possible? I'd steer clear if I were you

Another amazing mega brekky at Uptown Diner.Fried eggs cooked to perfection which for me is always the sign of a good breakfast. Alice and staff go out of their way to look after you, Great value at less than a fiver.

Had a fine breakfast at this, for me, hitherto unknown cafe. Two eggs, a gang of bacon and plenty of everything else. I was even asked if I wanted half and half toast and fried bread. I opted for all toast and again got plenty of it. Very warm welcome from Alice and served quickly and efficiently. I'll be back :-)

I had one of the specials; Hot Pot to start and apple crumble with custard to follow. Good value at £5.45.

Este es un café básico, no esperes todas las placas decoradas que tonto pagar un ojo de la cara. Es una buena comida bien cocinada, bien servido y abundante a un precio de ganga. Si quieres algo diferente, entonces aléjate. Llamamos aquí la mayoría de las veces estamos en Wigan y nunca hemos dejado de hambre. El personal es muy servicial, y cuidar de todo el mundo que se encuentra abajo. A la hora de comer puede que tenga que esperar unos minutos por una mesa, pero si quieres buena comida sencilla a un precio que usted puede permitirse, entonces por favor espere. Usted puede tener que compartir la mesa con otros, pero iniciar una conversación y disfrutar de la compañía.

Went on a Saturday noon with a friend. One of my other friends had recommended this place so my expectations were high. I had a chicken panini and my friend had a full english breakfast. Food was good but not good enough to go back.

Llamado en un par de semanas para un atún y queso... era panini servido con una de atún y queso baguette. Hambre y tanta prisa no discutir. Fuera de la baguette fue casi crujiente y el interior, la mayoría de izquierda intacta, repugnante. No molesten aquí

Nos Encontramos con un fuerte olor a humedad que enseguida te acostumbras. Las mesas y la planta necesita una limpieza más a menudo, y de hecho, parece que no se han limpiado desde ayer el almuerzo. No pedir un café con leche, puede también pedir una vía láctea café. Sin embargo, el desayuno era abundante y sabía bien. El personal es muy amable y probablemente comer aquí de nuevo.

i have been here many times since i was a little girl withfamily, friends and i love the food. we always leave feeling stuffed from what ever we order. the staff are lovely and friendly and deliver great service when we are in there. and the food isn't over priced like i have seen in othet places

Yo uso este lugar cuando estés de compras con mi hermano menor, ya que ambos son comilones exigentes y han encontrado que este lugar puede atender a eso. No es el mejor en wigan en mi opinión muy buena pero no el menos. Me parece que la lasaña es encantador y con el casero patatas fritas y ensalada pero a veces encontrar la salsa de queso un poco difícil de tragar. Sin embargo, todavía es una muy buena comida cuando tienes hambre y en la zona

Fui con mi marido y mi hijo y almuerzo. Tuve un calentito que no puedes equivocarte con mi marido tenía el pastel de carne que contenía una buena cantidad de carne y venía con patatas fritas caseras, y mi hijo tenía el mega desayuno, y fue mega! La comida es de buena calidad y a un precio razonable comparado con las otras cadenas hoteleras más grandes de comida. Un estupendo servicio agradable también, sin duda volveremos otra vez para el almuerzo (confundidos sobre el anterior comentario negativo).
