Love to come here, wonderful food, great service and very helpful client oriented staff, in particular Joanne.

The Valley farm is a good place for food drink and atmosphere. The carvery was good and hot and good selection of vegetables and Potatoes. Diane our server was lovely and really welcoming and friendly and very knowledgeable.

Everyone was above standard, food was great, comes very fast every time weve been there isnt a wait and the staff are very polite. Only thing that takes this to a 4 star is the yorkshire puddings ahaha

Had carvery and pudding both for £10 on a special offer. Carvery always beautiful and cheesecake was huge but gorgeous 😍 waitress Lili was lovely very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Went to Valley Farm to meet a friend for food. We had a lovely waitress called Joanne. Joanne was so friendly and advised me about what I could have as I have a gastric band. She must have just started as we haven't seen her before. She's a tonic after a hard day.

Joanne was great. She was friendly and made sure we had everything and were enjoying our meal.

Served by Diane today, who was lovely and friendly , and unlike other greene kings in the Sunderland area my pit of tea arrived with my meal and not after, the chef doing the carvery was lovely and friendly and was happy too chat about the food

Visit to my favorite restaurant. You can't beat value for money, great choice and variety on the carvary, absolutely delicious. We arrived just before 12 and our tabl was ready for us. We all order with no trouble and all and everything we wanted was on the menu apart from any of the desserts there was only three cakes available. Our food was lovely and we didn't have to wait too long. I was very happy with my chicken tikka and also the kids burger The only downsides to our visit was that there was that my son's meal came out last and I would prefer the kids meals to come out first since we were a table of nine. Also the fact it was new year's day and you didn't have any desserts on the menue including the cake cabinet. The only thing you could offer was as ice cream

Booked in for standard carvery menu for 6:30pm - party of 9, got told only 3 Carvery’s left so we all had to order other items as they were taking it off, wasn’t even 7pm! Thursday evening! I booked online but then called to confirm and was told nothing about it being cancelled or unavailable. Then upon arrival and being shown to our table we were told nothing! No apologies from staff, we weren’t even told directly even though I made the booking. Awful service and food that was not what we wanted! Shame as we really liked the carvery here but frankly will not be back!

Food is ok, but we have been there quite a few times, and on numerous occasions, they don't have what we wanted, so made another choice and they don't have that either! Place is also a bit grubby, dirty carpets etc. For us, it's just a place to eat. Got the sharing starter, corn was cold, like it had just come out the fridge!

Went here for the carvery on a Sunday and I was pleasantly surprised! I'm not a massive fan of carveries, so my expectations were low, but the veg and potato options were all very nice. I went for the vegetarian cheese and potato pie option - unfortunately the pastry was extremely thick for my liking, but the filling was flavoursome. My partner had meat and said it was pretty good. Staff were friendly and the pub was busy, so I'm glad we booked in advance.

I called in today, on arrival I was greeted by Diane she was friendly and made me feel very welcome. I had a cavery with pigs in blankets. The food was all cooked very nicely. I would definitely recommend Valley farm and I'll be back soon.

First time I’ve been to Valley Farm and I’ll definitely be back. The place was very welcoming and clean,the food was lovely and the staff were very friendly especially Suzanne who was very helpful and made sure everything was ok for us all. (We were on table 44). Thank you 😄

Attention! Everyone! Avoid this place like the plague !!!! Booked my Christmas dinner here…. Got our order all wrong from the starters Then when it’s came the prawns were off like I mean so I was being sick ! Pulled the staff and then the manager came over and was giving it oh no their not and I’m saying oh yes their are ! Definitely pantomime season! Don’t normally check my receipt but had not took my £50 deposit off my bill and continued to say they had while had the receipt in my hand!! The food was literally disgusting and I will never recommend anyone going to this place

I was in a booking of 11 people and we was waited on by a lovely girl in the most tremendous sparkly outfit she was an absolute delight we all had a great time, the food definitely could have been better, but it's Christmas dinner at a pub, you don't expect perfection.

First time going out for christmas lunch what a total disaster from start to finish.Staff where very pushy on at us constantly asking when we wanted our food.my son is vegetarian they messed is meal up he ask for the vegan meal as it different ingredients in to the vegetarian 1..they served him the vegetarian 1 and it bad him ill..then to top it all they brought us the wrong dessert s..only half decent thing was the starter and the drinks.we were not the only people to say the food was disgusting...

For what it is, mass served Sunday lunch, it absolutely pleases each and every time. Juicy meats, ample vegetables selection, crunchy yorkshire puddings. Definitely the best carvery place to take your family. The deserts are better than they look!

Always spot on for food and service. Been to more “premium” Green King pubs and this place beats them every time. Staff are always friendly and nice place to bring small children as there is a small soft-play area to keep them entertained.

The lady that served us at our table was absolutely wonderful she was chatting to us and the kids and ever so helpful. The lad on the carvery was great joking on and very cheery serving us. Absolutley lovely staff they make you feel so welcome and look after you. Really enjoyed this visit. Both staff members I've never seen before and we regularly visit. Both great additions to the pub. Look forward to our next visit in the new year :) thank you x

Lovely meal, attentive service from Hannah, clean toilets, box to take home 2/3 of my very large dessert, tables well spaced and music not too loud so we could chat. Was even able to park straight outside. Not expensive either. I'll be back. What more could you want! Thank you, Hannah.

I supported a young adult with disabilities to breakfast with Santa. Diane the staff member made sure everything went smoothly for my person supported. She asked if we needed a quieter area and made sure she checked everything was ok. Diane also let us know when Santa was arriving. All in all Diane was a fabulous member of staff who made this trip very enjoyable and accessible for my person supported. Also like to mention the staff member doing the reindeer food, she was very patient and very helpful.

Called in on the way past for cakes. They were delicious (and huge servings). Hannah, our waitress, was very friendly and efficient.
