Waitrose Cafe in Harrow

Its great for meeting just need more coffee flavors milk shakes vegan scones cakes to improve the cafe Area and definitely will get a good crowd as,people 🛍 shopping needs to unwind

Fancied a snack before the weekly shop. Some jobsworth through the Perspex barrier tried to tell me the cookers were off (at 2:30pm) even though it’s open until 3pm. The hours are limited enough but this is just poor. Please get your finger out Waitrose. You’re not standing out enough to keep my custom at present

Went near closing time and one of three meals never came. When we enquired where it was, they said it had been missed and the ovens were now off and they offered a refund which we accepted. Then they offered to prepare the missed item. Which they did - along with loads of apologies. Well done Waitrose for salvaging the situation!

Great cafe with good veg options for takeaways and inhouse eating. Surprised at being offered free drinking water with our order.

It seems the reviews of late carry a disappointing theme. Late, cold food and lack of service. Sadly this is exactly our experience at mid morning on a Saturday recently when we stopped for tea and toasted tea cake. The two staff were barely awake and despite us being the only ones in the queue took a while to organise the two drinks and cake. We took a seat, noticing the many uncleared tables and went back to ask for napkins and were given a huge pile to put in the serving area - are we now working for you? A lot can be saved with a smile and a few words but this was not in evidence. This is a shame as it is our regular haunt but we are now looking more favourably at Costa just down the road.

Just fancied a snack lunch while doing the family shop. Huge queue but decided I was hungry and fancied one of their fish finger wraps and a Diet Coke. Ominous sign up saying there may be a delay as one of their ovens was out of order. Lady in front took her sandwich up to be toasted and ordered a coffee and paid for it. Given the long wait she asked for take out but was told they can’t do ‘take out’ coffee unless you have your own cup. So she cancelled it and the girl couldn’t process the refund and she was told to ‘take a seat’. My turn; ordered my food to be told they were out of fish finger wraps so I abandoned! While shopping in the store, I noticed there were both fresh and frozen fish fingers, wraps, plenty of lettuce, gherkins and tartare sauce. How could they be out of it? By this time the queue had grown even longer. Come on Waitrose, you can do better than this!

Visited the cafe around 11am for a latte and pain au chocolat. Have to say I was very disappointed with the dry and stale pain au chocolat. It’s only 11am! How can you not have fresh baked goods in your cafe on a Saturday morning? The staff proposed heating it up a little but with fresh pastry you shouldn’t have to.

We are big fans of Waitrose South Harrow for product and staff quality and professionalism . We are living just round the corner as well so we are regular shoppers and also we are having breakfast/ lounge in the Cafe Shop.. the past week was a terrible experience as we ordered 4 days in a row vegetable burger, 4 times was a different burger, day 1 with tomato, day 2 without tomato so not same burger every day , but the one yesterday was absolutely cold (you could notice it wasn’t freshly made ) the fries were only boiled and reheated .. also the staff was unprofessional and did not pay any attention n of what you want or what you asked for ... I specially come in today and they told me is no vegetable burger available and just turn the back - i was ordering an tomato and mozzarella sandwich which wasn’t that great at all ... absolutely horrible experience as food and staff yesterday and today !

We shop here and regularly drink/eat here but not sure why as there are nearly always issues: queues are off putting, service slow but always polite and food patchy. They carry on serving even if there are no tables which is a massive bugbear of mine and are slow at clearing tables. We also see lots of complaining when we go. Now, they’re phasing out free hot drinks for mywaitrose customers yet are introducing better coffees! Sounds daft

Our second visit, the first saw my wife finish her breakfast before mine arrived. We were early visitors (well, early - 11 o-clock on a Sunday not that early but the kitchen staff looked like they'd only been there 5 minutes) and ordered breakfast, tea and coffee. Tea was COLD - not sure how lack of steaming hot water was not noticed, but was changed, so no harm done. Second pot luke warm, the boiler wasn't working but café had been open for some 20 minutes now. Breakfast arrived and my wife's bacon - well I'm not naïve enough to expect freshly cooked bacon every time but this rasher was the colour of dark mahogany and couldn't be eaten with a knife and fork. Fortunately, I like very crispy bacon so risked breaking a tooth and we swapped breakfasts. Unfortunately, the hash brown on my wife's plate was cold so I joined the queue for replacement tea and coffee and asked for 2 hot hash browns. Hash browns arrived and my wife declared hers just warm enough. Mine was very hot at one end and stone cold at the other - maybe the microwave didn't have a revolving plate. By this time chaos ensued and we left. I can't help wondering if 'the runs' I suffered Sunday night, Monday was anything to do with that poorly reheated hash brown. I rarely give a bad review after 1 semi poor experiences but think 2 warrants a mention. We are huge John Lewis fans and the café at the Watford Intu store runs like a well oiled machine. Come on Waitrose, you're letting the side down

This is one of the largest Waitrose cafes in North West London. Friendly staff good coffee especially with the Waitrose card!! Enjoy.

A popular meeting place for coffee, breakfast & lunch. A Broad range of coffees, teas & soft drinks. Lovely food, simplicity seems to be the motto of the cafe, but no reduction in Waitrose's high standards. A great place for lunchtime meetings. The staff are always, polite, courteous & very friendly...

We enjoyed a coffee here after shopping and the coffee was good. Also the service was very friendly.

Lovely place to enjoy a little snack with your free hot drink after your shopping! It is bright and welcoming. Not noisy at all! You can read while having your cup of tea or coffee.

I was impressed with the young people working here. Very polite and kind. Food is good and convenient while you shop. It's more of a refined caffe but with the advantage of being able to gather your food shopping on the way out. The only fault is that sometimes it takes time to find an empty table, eventually having to move trays belonging to people that left the caffe already.

I took the kids here after our usual shop. This is a lovely little place with a clean touch. The staff were friendly, plenty to choose on the menu & a selection of newspapers to read. Prices were decent & there was plenty of seating available.

We went for a quick vegetarian lunch on Wednesday 5th April and ordered a hot veggie dish with halloumi cheese and a portion of chips. The veggie dish hardly had any ingredients apart from rocket leave and the chips were burnt and none of the staff were bothered.

Siempre disfruto de un café y un bollo en este gran cafetería local. El personal es excelente y siempre amable. No el mejor sandwich de queso y jamón tostado. La facilidad de aparcamiento es una ventaja importante y a veces incluso hacer algunas compras!

This spacious cafe, settled at the back of this Waitrose, is the opposite to the high street coffee places: it is so open & light, with an English country feel which I love. Additionally the menu has a decent range of hot & cold options from sandwiches & salads to a few cooked meals and a kids' menu. To top it off there's a small patisserie selection (dangerous but delicious!!!), the prices are very reasonable & the staff are always friendly: love this place!!

There is no cafe at this location - its a very small store, though they are talking about a refurb??What they do have is 2 'picnic benches' outside with a sign saying for Waitrose customers only? I assume you can sit there with your coffee and snack purchased from inside the store.If the day is fine and you want to serve yourself then the quality food they offer might just be OK - But there is NO cafe

its in Waitrose and a café - does an all English breakfast for £6-50 and a half decent fresh coffee from a Gaggia. It also has loads of free newspapers.

Lovely cooked a breakfast at reasonable prices. Good choice of sandwiches and baguettes. Also fruit options available.

I know it's only a Waitrose supermarket and in truth, I only popped in to get some organically farmed veal escalopes until I remembered I was a vegetarian... lol, how silly of me.Anyway, while there I had a coffee and a bun.The coffee was pretty good but the bun... well, it really was a tasty treat of a bun.If you like your buns as much as I do.... (and I like them a lot) this is a great stopping off point to fuel up on quality buns before you disappear forever into the murky depths of South HarrowPerhaps not the finest bun I ever had, but a mighty fine bun all the same.

Surprisingly a good place for a quick business meeting - coffee and pastries and not to busy so didn't feel pushed to move out. The car parking was free (for the duration of our meeting at least) and we could top up with a few groceries after the meeting. Perfect

We ate here after staying in a nearby hotel. The cooked breakfasts were all freshly prepared and delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful.

when wait rose reduce their food it can be very cheap. The quality and taste is first class. When they have special offers then its worth shopping. Also you get a free newspaper for spending pounds. If you have a wait rose card you get money off sometimes at the till at random normally 1p but sometimes 50p or a pound- it varies according to what you spend

Had meal and breakfast with friends. Food good and reasonably priced - although pancakes were disappointing. Staff very helpful

Just ticks every box for the business user - superb coffee (Latte) relaxing surroundings and it's FREE! MyWaitrose Card Customers know they value of value! Excellent.
