Had a wonderful visit with my aunt and dad. We enjoyed the carvery and BBQ chicken burger—both were excellent, with fresh, hot food regularly replenished. The service was fast, professional, and welcoming. The only slight disappointment was not being seated by the window, despite it being a special occasion and a table being available. However, the overall experience was fantastic. Great food at a good price—highly recommend!

A very welcoming restaurant with a great atmosphere, plentiful hot and tasty food. Having an early breakfast and great to see such a mixed community and ages making good conversation and enjoying themselves.

Nice breakfast buffet for a good price

The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Desmond and Amanda who showed us where to get the food from at the breakfast buffet. They were smiling and bubbly which made the overall experience of going really welcoming. It was quite quiet so not a massive bustling atmosphere the both times I went but that’s not necessarily an issue and my family really enjoyed their meals nonetheless. The pizza is delicious I would definitely recommend and if you’re on a student budget like myself they have very good daily deals on Mondays and Tuesday with 50% off food. The vegetarian sausages at the breakfast weren’t the nicest I’ve ever tasted but overall I enjoyed both my meals here and would visit again.

We were here for a gathering after a funeral. Warm welcome was recieved and it was a friendly atmosphere. Our group had burger, pizza and carvery - all was amazing. Well recommend. Trish in particular was lovely. Thank you

Christmas lunch with a group of 18. Went really well.

We had 3 large carveries and were very happy with the food. The chef was really the only person we had contact with, because of the awful ordering from the table, and he was nice enough. The table ordering is the biggest downside and maybe in summer there is a benefit but in winter when there is not such a rush it makes it a cold, unwelcoming place. It's a self service feeling which is a shame as English pubs are world famous for their customer contact.

Service was great, we took a group of 18 older people and we found the staff very helpful and friendly.

Great food and friendly environment as usual. I have just read some of the reviews and frankly - I don’t understand. I have visited the restaurant several times so far and never had any problems. Even my daughter with her family from South Korea were very happy with their dinner in this restaurant. Yes, I paid a parking fine once when I paid the parking fee but parked on the restaurant designated place without checking my registration number in - but it was my fault, didn’t look properly. It’s a kind of a little pleasure to stop in this restaurant even just for a cup of coffee after the walk.

Paula was our waitress and she was lovely. Great service and food was reasonably priced.

Popped in for lunch. Been years since my last visit, when I thought it was very poor. What a transformation. Clean, friendly staff, and lovely food. Well done all, especially the chap and girl on the carvery.

Staff were friendly and accommodating of our large group booking. Venue was comfortable and well heated, staff even put crackers out for our Christmas meal. The food was fantastic - great quality in good portions. All dietary information was clearly visible on carvery, making it very inclusive. We travel from Camden Town to Ruislip for this venue as it's the best Carvery in London!

Arrived an hour early with extra diners but the duty manager sorted out a table for us without a drama. We were early after I had had a hard slog volunteering at the Santa Special Railway and, as there was not a big queue to see Father Christmas we were earlier than I guessed. In addition, my niece joined us at the last minute after her visit was cancelled last weekend due to the storm. She has had a lot of health issues this year and it was just nice to rock up early with extra guests and not be made to feel a nuisance but to be greeted kindly. She did that. And I appreciated it. We all had burgers and they were fab! Thank you again.

Relaxing place with nice view. We did not realise the new member offer and Amanda was so kind to explain and David was so helpful to take the order. Good deal for Black Friday. Food is nice and a place for relaxing with the sunshine.

Had a booking today for over 40 people (almost half of them kids), we was served by Charlotte and Paula. Even with the large group the service was very smooth and nothing went wrong. The staff were very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed, after the meal tables were cleared quickly. The food was great aswell.

I would just like to say a ‘HUGE THANK YOU’ to David behind the bar. I gave him double the money by accident and didn’t even realize and he was so honest he gave it back to me straight away. The world needs more people like you David, thank you so much. My friend and I then went on to enjoy a scrumptious breakfast and were made very welcome. I totally recommend this restaurant. Great place in autumn and spring. Pleasant in the winter but to be avoided in the summer due to large crowds. Good food and fantastic location. Has a regular crowd during the week in the day which a mark or a good place.

Water's Edge Ruislip Don't use this restaurant unless you are prepared for a nasty aftertaste weeks later when you are sent a parking ticket. Despite paying a hefty fee to park in their car park (£8.50 for a few hours), weeks, possibly over a month later I was sent a parking ticket demanding £85 pounds stating - my car was not authorised to park at this car park. No signs visible on way into car park, or when paying to park. No notice stating AUTHORISED VEHEICLES ONLY - anywhere clearly visible. THIS IS A SCAM and should not be allowed. The DVLA should be ashamed of themselves for facilitating this type of operation. Here we have a business preying on those people unfamiliar with the rigmarole necessary to park in their car park and not get a ticket.

We walked in on a busy Sunday on the off chance of having lunch. They seated us with no issues. Paula and Charlotte were so sweet and lovely. Nothing was an issue, Paula even went to go and get my son his dessert with such kindness. Really really loved the food. Carvery was delicious and spot on. Burger was out amazingly delicious. (The pork was a bit salty - but we know that's part of the preservation process of the meat) 10* plus. Thank you. We will be back

Had a carvery today (28/10/24) with my friend after our long walk. It was a very nice meal, 3 different meats - turkey, gammon & beef plus all the lovely vegetables, roast potatoes, etc etc. Delicious! The staff at The Watersedge are so lovely & friendly too. I forgot my mobile phone, left on the table. They contacted my emergency contact person & left a message to say the phone was safe with them. I was relieved to get it back & thanked the two young ladies very much. They went above & beyond to help out.

Perfect location for a our step mum’s 90th Birthday lunch. We had a range of ages from 6-90. Carvery meats were lovely and moist/flavourful. Kids loved the pizzas. Staff were very helpful especially Amanda and Paula who happily brought in our cake and sang happy birthday, along with a lovely birthday card.

Amazing! Hundreds stars 😋😋😋 . I visited with my wife. I was super hungry but we are pure vegetarian. I asked the guy if there any cross contamination by any chance. So he recommended me veg pizza. I asked other food he said I don't recommend there might be cross contamination. I liked this thing that he informed straight way. Finally we got pizza. Really it was amazing. Super delicious and healthy. Healthy I'm saying because whenever I eat pizza I feel bloating but this pizza was so good. I digest it easily. The base was maybe made with multi grains. So overall it was amazing experience. The service 100/100. Food 100/100. Loved it. Will visit again. Thank you so much

Lovely Sunday lunch, excellent service and food. Only reason food gets 4 starts not 5 is that the sticky toffee pudding and custard was a bit cold! The rest was great. Thanks to Joel and the team for your fab service.

Great food, great prices, lovely atmosphere

On Monday my elderly and invalid father decided to come in to the restaurant for lunch after a dog walk. We accidentally walked into the wrong door with our dog. Immediately, we were shouted at by the 'chef' behind the Carvery counter and also a waitress, who both yelled across the restaurant that we had walked in the wrong door and had to go out and come back in the next door ie the bar area. My elderly father just needed to sit down before we ordered lunch, but as the waitress proceeded to follow us through the bar, still yelling at us for having come in the wrong door, we abruptly left. My family and I have been to this restaurant many times before over the years, and the staff have always been friendly and accommodating. I'm not sure if the staff were new or if the restaurant is under new management, but our treatment was absolutely appalling, and we will definitely not be returning. Terrible customer service and appalling, disrespectful treatment of an elderly man.

I’ve been coming here for considerable amount of years now and enjoy it very much and was very upset to hear that it may be changing to some crack thing very disappointed because it is a lovely place especially after a nice walk around the lido with the dog then followed by a lovely road please don’t go changing it and messing things up. Why stick something that’s not broken and if you do, you will lose customers. us for starters

Honestly one of the nicest places I've visited in the area. The atmosphere was nice, the food was really tasty and the wait wasn't that bad at all. I was served by a server named Joel and He was very friendly and inviting, made thhe atmosphere very pleasant and homey. I would honestly go here every time I feel like going out if it wasn't for the distance between me and the place. I would give 10/10 of 5 wasn't the max.
