Zizzi - Gloucester Quays in Gloucester

Took a friend for lunch. Excellent service & food was delicious. Rob, our waiter, was super efficient, very pleasant & gave service with a smile.

Thursday night in January, restaurant was nice and relatively quiet. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Our waiter was Orazio and was excellent. Thank you all.

Food was lovely! Really enjoyed it, hot and fresh, tasty!

Very good experience. We called to see if they took the tesco vouchers (they do) and was able to book a table to go in soon after. Our server was Craig, he was very happy, had our little ones in mind and put their stuff in before ours to make sure they had food. Our toddler had a potato with her and he asked about it when he cleared our plates away. He made sure we enjoyed our meals. Only little criticism is my carbanara was on the cooler side, almost cold, but my partners lasagne was hot and the kids pasta was a good temperature too.

Went for a works lunch and was fantastic. Orazio served us who was lovely and very accommodating. Will definitely return. Thank you

Today we came to zizzi in Gloucester quay and was served by Daisy she was so lovely and made sure we were happy with our food and brought an amazing atmosphere to the table. Being people that don’t eat out much it was a amazing experience and the food was a 10/10 and the portion sizes were great, the food came so quick Thankyou for a lovely visit Daisy :)

Lovely food and really good customer service. We had not booked, but despite being busy with Christmas groups, we were given a table - thank you very much. Due to being busy with the pre-booked Christmas parties, there was a little wait for our starters - our server came over and apologised and offered us a complimentary cocktail by way of apology. Really really kind and greatly appreciated! Food we had was: prawns, chicken strips, burata pasta and salmon on pesto risotto - all dishes were lovely. The complimentary cocktail I had was the Lemon drizzle Martini - OMG! Absolutely to die for! We will definitely return

This was one of the best experiences i think ive ever recieved at a restaurant. Elle was absolutely fantastic the entire way throught my stay here today. the food was absolutely amazing, and both (manager im guessing he was in a grey hoodie) and Elle were amazing, will deffo be returning! Bathrooms aswell were spotless!

I had a frustrating experience booking this place for myself and a friend. I reserved a table at Gloucester, only to receive a call on the day of our booking saying there was construction work and we couldn’t dine there. While that was understandable, we decided to go to Zizzi's next door restaurant, which was bustling and fully packed. I can't help but feel misled about the "construction work," which left me very disappointed.

Amazing experience! Great food, friendly, welcoming staff, authentic Italian food, big portions (especially Rustica pizzas), great selections of cocktails - what more could we ask for! So glad we made a last minute decision to eat here.

A group of 15 of us went to Zizzi for their festive menu. The group size was more but we had cancellations on the night, Orazio took the time to go through each pre order to make sure they were correct. The food was brought out promptly and was very fresh. At £26.50 for 3 courses, it was great value! Orazio was super attentive throughout the night and even helped us play a little prank on one of our group! An enjoyable evening for everyone - thank you very much!

Visiting from California and was very pleased with the food and service. We had 3 small children that we were struggling with but Craig our server was very helpful and made the experience pleasant. Would definitely recommend this place for families.

We had a large booking of 39 people. They'd kept us all together in two rows of tables. The food was top-notch. Well cooked, fresh and hot and tasty. The service was astounding. They'd used our list and knew exactly who ordered what. All three courses came out quickly, and no one was left waiting. And no instances of courses getting out of synch across the group. No mean task. You can order and pay for your drinks via an app using a QR code, which meant no issues around who ordered what drinks. So logistically, it was seamless. As for the venue, it was a nice place to be, and nicely decorated. The staff were all friendly and attentive, but I wanted to shout out Josh, who orchestrated the whole thing. He was definitely experienced, and he obviously relished his job. But everyone worked hard and made for a great occasion. Everyone in our group agreed it had all been fantastic, the best Christmas event we'd had in a very long time. Oh, and did Imentiond the food was delicious?

The venue and staff are absolutely lovely. My brother is disabled and uses an electric wheelchair. The staff always deal with us in a very kind and professional way. Today was particularly busy but Josh, Rob, Sahil and especially Kamila made sure we had everything we needed. They went above and beyond. Thank you so much for making our visits so enjoyable 😊

100% am visiting again and again. 💖 I visited Zizzi on a DELIVEROO pick up. I was warmly greeted by Rob who kindly helped me through the order and also offered dine in service too which I really appreciated. He was aware of my nut allergy and gluten intolerance from my previous visits. And his pro activity towards my allergy put me at ease. Rob and the team went above and beyond to make our dine in an enjoyable experience. Where I got to taste a sample of the Christmas profiterole too! The team was welcoming, chatty and hospitable throughout. Also allowing me to keep the rest of my take out order in their warm box whilst I dined in. I had the festive pig in blanket bomba, I didn’t know what to expect before ordering it however it much surpassed my expectations, the dough was fluffy and flavoursome. I ordered the pulled pork loaded fries (DELIVEROO option). It was a touch spicy - I felt comfortable enough to notify the team who kindly offered to make me a fresh batch with mild sauce. They also kindly gave a scoop of ice cream which was super refreshing after the heat. The profiterole was delicious. I too really like the cheese cake and brownie on offer! The profiterole was soft and well balanced with the coffee ice cream and whipped cream. I really appreciated Robs generosity in allowing me to try this dish out. I was really impressed by the team again! They are always so amazing.

Orazio Created a wonderful dining experience and was exceptionally welcoming. There was a slight mistake with one of the dishes, but was quick to rectify all and apologise. Came here for Lunch meeting up with a friend, we were seated and served in very good time, and the food itself was highly enjoyable. I also have a vast amount of praise for our server, Chris, who was on hand, available and attentive without it feeling nor being pushy either, an absolute asset to the business and wonderful to deal with. Overall, would highly recommend.

Ambience was good, food was excellent, staff were really friendly. The only thing that was a let down was the service was slow - although we understand that food service can be slow at peak times, drinks should be served quickly (this would probably also lead to you selling more drinks!)

confused…. I took my 4 year daughter for a Halloween treat tonight before going to spooktaclar & cancelling our table at BILLS (children’s meal free) in half term as I had a taster card (buy one meal get one free) to be told at the end that children’s food is NOT included in this deal but adults meals are… Where’s the logic. So I bought a £18 meal and a £8.50 meal for my daughter and I was not able to take advantage of this deal. In hindsight I should have asked for the free ADULT MEAL as a take away & waited but we had the pumpkin picking booked. It’s not about the money, it’s about the principle…. Gutted as the food was nice. Next time I will order TWO ADULT MEALS.

Experience was ok until paying the bill. Showed our waiter Orazio, our blue light card only to be told it didn’t apply to the set menu. This was not explained to us when we sat down (he assured us we would’ve been told this on entry) and when we queried this, were told to read the Ts &Cs on blue light. Orazio told us he couldn’t take any more off the bill as he would get into trouble with his manager. We asked to speak to the manager to request the discount from the non set menu food and he then said he was the manager! We showed him the Ts & Cs on the blue light card and there is NO mention of it not applying to the set menu. We were then told it was our mis-communication with blue light card. We were made to feel like we were trying to cheat Zizzi in some way. Orazio contradicted himself and did not accept that the mis communication was with Zizzi’s employees or with what was written by Zizzi on the blue light card Ts &Cs. Customer service was very poor in this respect. Staff need to read their own Ts &Cs and make sure customers are informed when ordering and accept when they have made an error instead of trying to blame the customer. We were left feeling embarrassed in front of a busy restaurant and will not be returning.

Had an amazing lunch! Fantastic food and service despite the restaurant being very busy. The manager Orazio was exceptional providing friendly service and a very well run restaurant Food was served fresh, delicious and piping hot.

we were here with children and friends, I needed a table for 4 adults and 3 children and a puppy that I had in my arms and was still sleeping, I asked if I could come in with the dog that was still sleeping, the waiter said that if it wouldn't run around it would be ok, he misled me because it's not always allowed to come in with a dog, but I understand that maybe he wasn't aware of the rules, but the manager should have informed him somewhere on the sidelines and not just harassed him centrally at the tables that dogs are not allowed etc. that was very weak on the manager's part! I don't blame the waiter. moreover we ordered dishes and dishes for children, we got the main course, I had to ask for the children's drink which was in the set, I also had to ask for the fact that they took the main course but we didn't get the children's starter, I had to ask again for the 3rd squash for the child, they brought it again after the main course.....and the best thing is that the starter which I also had to ask for again! was brought to us when the children were already eating dessert!the best thing is a different waiter (not the one who let us) at the end where we had already paid unfortunately we can't stay here three times with the dog 😂 after all that they served us badly and misled us through their own fault! I suggest the manager make some big corrections! I do not recommend and I will definitely not come back.

Quality of food has dropped tremendously since the last time I was at a Zizzi. Plus the table we were allocated wa extremely noisy A family of 3 small boys was on the next table who were shouting all of the time. ( boys will be boys) Not a pleasant experience

We tried to eat here Sunday around 6pm as we had an amazing experience at the Brighton branch, lovely service, delicious food and great atmosphere. What a contrast here. On arrival no hello or greeting just ‘Have you booked’ unfortunately we hadn’t. So we were told sorry we cannot accommodate you. So…. The place was half empty!!! Albeit empty tables had used dishes on them. Our impression was he didn’t want to clear a table to accommodate us!!! It was 6pm on a Sunday. I find it hard to believe they could not feed two of us…. Such a shame as we really wanted a repeat experience of Brighton. They obviously don’t want the custom!!! FOLLOW UP: emailing as requested below we had no more response than what they already said on google. Poor customer service all round. Very disappointing
