Zizzi in Southwark

Really disappointing experience overall. Our server didn't even seat us, just gave us menus and pointed to a table and barely said a word the whole duration of our visit. Never came back to check in on us once and he seemed very disinterested. Food wise, my partners pizza arrived and was more akin to a dried cracker, very tough and very brittle. Having visited previously and had similar issues we hoped these might have been resolved but they were not. Lovely decor and location but that is all the redeeming qualities.

Got the spaghetti carbonara. I can’t recommend this place enough. The food and the atmosphere was great and the manager who served us was very friendly.

The food was delicious. However, our server seemed to just ignore us after we were served our main course. Another server was very thoughtful and tried to help get our server to pay attention but they didn't. One of the hostesses ended up getting our dessert and our final bill. Too bad about the service because the food was really good! And kudos to the server that tried to help. Thank you!

We had dinner here on 14th December and really enjoyed it. The staff were so friendly and went out of their way to ensure a good time, especially Ariane who looked after us so well. Will definately go back there again next time we go to the South Bank .

Ended our day with Zizzi by the river. Staff are very rude and clearly not trained in hospitality. Dishes were served with drastic time differences as well as not being as ordered or described in the menu.

Paul’s service was amazing. He really went above and beyond to try accommodate for our dietary restrictions

Had the Christmas 3 course menu and it didn't disappoint food was great starter of calamari and pigs in blankets bomb was nice. The main corse of the pasta had lovel flavours very creamy and the 50/50 pizza was nice but the desert was the best! A 10/10 for both the salted caramel cheese cake and the brownie as well. Managed to get a window seat looking over the river Thames staff very friendly and helpful as well

Marian was an excellent server this afternoon. He was extremely attentive to our services as a group and accommodated a big group whilst still meeting needs. I will personally attend in 2025 knowing Marian is a valued member of staff and that Zizzi’s shows commitment to rewarding and employing staff members who are attentive and professional with small tables and large groups. Our host Srishti was great at making sure we was satisfied and content. Our group had a lovely time here with this being a little work Christmas get together. The food, drinks were great we were stuffed. Unfortunately there was a few issues; one of our guests was not happy, all the items she wanted was not in stock but because of this they gave us a free drink on the house for her which was good. As we was finishing up we noticed there was a disagreement going on with our host and another colleague, me and my friend was facing the bar and could see what was going on. It was very unprofessional the guy with large glasses was basically having a go at our host then we looked again and he was having a go at another girl who worked there. I said to my friend surely he not having a go at her aswell, clearly he having a bad day shouldn't take it out on others like that. I thought that was very out of order and definitely not a way you speak to others members of your team, especially as he looked as if he was just like another one of the colleagues not a manager of any sort, I would not have liked him to host my table. As a manager myself I would have just spoke to the colleague off the floor. I spoke to the lady who was in charge last night and she was lovely, she was trying to do the best she can out of a bad situation, which I totally understand however the guy was trying to show 'who boss' and that is not the way to react being in hospitality, he needs to know better.
