Posiblemente una de las mejores cocinas inspiradas en África Occidental en Londres, disfrutamos de la deliciosa comida, así como quedarnos tranquilamente sorprendidos. Muy recomendable, solo que suya no lo hizo por nosotros todo lo demás fue excepcional

Jag kom hit för att jag letade efter veganska matställen och tyckte etiopiskt lät gott, men med min tunga packning i ösregnet i kalla januari började jag undra på vägen om det verkligen var värt det. När jag kom hit var det som att bli insvept i en varm kram! Själva lokalen var ett sånt labour of love, byggt av ägarna själva av återvunna material och kändes både som att kliva in i en drömvärld och samtidigt som att välkomnas in i gamla vänners hem, en väldigt personlig och mysig vibe. Addi var otroligt vänlig och gav mig gratis etiopiskt kryddte för att han såg att jag var kall. Maten var fantastisk på alla sätt, sådana ljuvliga smakkombinationer och du får jättemycket mat på enorma tallrikar. Addi förklarade att de bara har stora tallrikar för att matupplevelser är sådant du delar med familj och vänner. Den familjära och generösa mentaliteten lyste verkligen igenom hos Addi som tog sig tid att dela med sig en massa om etiopisk kultur och pratade med mig som en vän snarare än kund. När jag gick därifrån råkade jag glömma min halsduk och Addi kom springande ut i ösregnet efter mig för att ge tillbaka den. Addis ställe är verkligen en oas, och mer genuint än såhär blir det inte! Kom hit om ni vill ha en härlig stund med familj och vänner - eller bara äta fantastiskt god mat!

Starter - Butternut and ginger with coconut cream soup with side order of coco bread 10/10 delicious 😋 I would have had a second bowl if I could have managed it. Main - Monkfish tail in shellfish sauce with buttery mash, Ma's Benachin Gambian national rice and grilled stem broccoli outstanding.  Gambian rice highly seasoned and not what I was expecting. Still tasty.  Loved it. Dessert - Winter fruit crumble tart with Madagascar vanilla gelato! Struggled to finish but wasn't going to leave a scrap! This was a dining experience to remember. I ticked this off my list of fine dining!  Surpassed all my expectations! Myrtle the manager at Papa L's Kitchen was welcoming, friendly and made my experience enjoyable.  The service was good.  Meecha my server was very attentive. Overall I would highly recommend dining at Papa L's Kitchen.  I will be back.

Absolutely delicious food. I would highly recommend checking this place out. Try the mixed vegetarian option with injeera (which is all gluten free by the way!)

Dish was not like how I had them in Egypt, very watery.

I have absolutely no idea how or why this place gets good reviews - it's like they're all reviewing a different restaurant! The food here was simply terrible. Starters were not too bad, although the waitress struggled to understand the difference between 'hot' and 'cold'. Our table was under a bright white neon light that might have been appropriate for a nasty surgical procedure but was not exactly gentle and welcoming for a cozy dinner. Still, we could live with all that... except the main course was truly dreadful. I had a lamb stew which turned out to be bits of greasy meat swimming in some sort of grey liquid, and the veggie stuff was either tasteless or actually unpleasant. The guy that runs the place was perfectly friendly but nobody cleared away our (largely uneaten) plates for what seemed like an age and the waitress, though also friendly and smiley, seemed to have disappeared altogether. Nor was it cheap - nearly £80 for two - which was just a joke really. I love Ethiopian food, but this place - never again.

Nos encontramos a la 1. 30 pm como un grupo de cinco, se sentó fuera como se había dispuesto anteriormente - todo muy bonito y comenzó bien. Pero fue cuesta abajo desde allí. Una persona se arrancó un chasquido de 15 cm en los pantalones de la esquina afilada de la mesa de metal y a otra se le volcó una bebida mientras el camarero iba a servir a otra. Tardaron 40 minutos en tomar las primeras bebidas. Tuvimos que pedir dos veces para pedir comida y a pesar de que explicamos que estábamos en un tiempo limitado, tomó 90 minutos desde sentarse para que la comida saliera. Solo estábamos pidiendo mezzes así que no platos complicados. No salieron todos los alimentos ni las bebidas, ni todo el pedido había sido enviado a la cocina. Tuvimos que revisar el proyecto de ley por tema, ya que parecía que no se nos iba a facturar correctamente. Tuvimos que argumentar fuertemente para cualquier recompensa por la ropa estropeada del derrame. No había nada para el pantalón roto ya que "el camarero no lo vio pasar". No es un evento feliz. La comida no estaba mal, pero no vale la pena el resto de la experiencia.

Good quality falafel and salads either in a box or in a pitta. There are a few tables inside and 2 or 4 outside. It is not cheap - a box of falafel with pitta and a small bottle of water cost over £10. Nevertheless I had a good lunch and will probably return.

Un muy buen bar, la parte de arriba es un hostel en la localidad de Pimlico y muy cerca de la pintoresca Belgravia.

Ate here before attending Madonna concert, food was good, portions size was good, a little over-priced we thought, especially the beer, and wine, but it is London after all, waiter ( Alex ) was brilliant, friendly, efficient, and always smiling, we would eat here again when we attend our next event at the 02...

Segunda visita a este restaurante (primera vez hace cuatro años). Ambas veces el ambiente ha sido sin alma, el servicio impersonal, y la comida promedio en el mejor de los casos. Esta vez optó por el pescado, que se asfixió en una salsa agria de ajo y crema de hongos, tanto que el pescado era indeterminable. Nunca volvería.

This was extremely tasty. The mea were good, the vegetables were good. Hell! Even the bloody rice was delicious. I definitely recommend this if you need a quick meal that’s good. They also broadcast live soccer matches to watch while your foods getting cooked.
