FELT ROBBED called in at dinner me and wife having looked at the menu we both decided too have soup and a sandwich £8,95 with ham or cheese didn't fancy ither but they did have turkey so we had soup and sandwich with turkey on instead of ham or cheese but instead of being charged £8.95 x 2 = £17.90 i was charged £14.40 x 2 =£28.80 for having turkey on a breadcake instead of ham or cheese i did think being charged £10.90 MORE FOR having turkey on 2 sandwich even Dick Turpin wore a mask

Fantastic cafe, the icing on the cake (no pun intended) being the birds feeding next to the window. The staff are friendly and efficient and the the food is of a good standard and reasonably priced. I can't understand the few negative reviews, maybe some folk have unfeasibly high standards/expectations?

Top place we went to on our trip to sheffield and around. Chose it as it was dog friendly and so so glad came here. The setting was beautiful. The music chilled and relaxing. Service was excellent- thanks Oli. And the breakfast fabulous. We had smashed avocado and poached eggs on sourdough, the pancake stack with biscoff sauce you just want to keep eating, the fully loaded hot chocolate and great cappuccinos. And even the glass of water was served elegantly!! A must try place for breakfast before you tackle those hills!!

Great vibes in the pub. Got there as they opened and the hospitality was fantastic. I ordered a coffee and they got the coffee machine up and running straight away. Service was friendly and coffee was very nice and affordable. Came with a nice biscuit as well. We just used the hotel as a pub as a meeting point to start our stag do. There was a couple ordering food which looked great also. Beer was great and there was darts and a foosball table! 10/10 establishment

Had a lovely four mile walk spurred on by the thought of a great breakfast at the end. Went in to the cafe , chose our snacks went to order only to see a sign ‘cash only’. As we only had cards we had to leave. I wouldn’t have minded if it was pay by card for an extra fee but there was no option.

One of the best fish and chip shops my partner and I have been to, after a long day of hiking it was just what we needed, we called up and the owner said he was shutting soon but would turn on the fryers again for us and make our delicious food. When we got there the gentleman couldn’t have been more helpful and the young lady behind the counter was lovely also. We got some drinks and took it back to our shepherds hut and enjoyed our cod and chips and felt very full by the end of it, we couldn’t quite finish it all, the batter was crispy and the chips were fresh wjich was nice. Thank you!

Stayed for 1 night with the wife for hiking .had a lovely stay staff all friendly, breakfast was really nice choice of eggs cereals etc . Only took a point off for the bed which we like a firm mattress personal choice and noise from downstairs and also when the toilets flush from all the rooms it makes a droaning sound . It's an old building so have experienced this before . Would recommend staying here perfect for hiking

We were a pet free traveling couple who were very impressed with the cleanliness of the room and ensuite it was spotless given that they do allow pets to stay. Every request from parking early to gluten free breakfast (I’m coeliac) was accommodated faultless stay no negatives to report would stay again

This was so good we ate here New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. Sylvia served us both times, the food and service is exceptional; great traditional English food and hearty portions. I had the venison which was good perfectly. A roaring fire makes this the perfect place after a dog walk through the peaks.
